Had an issue with the contract. It was not what we had discussed. My own fault for not looking at the one drawn up at the facility and emailed to me. Was supposed to be for 4 days but was only written for 1. I was told I had 60 miles at no charge but ended up being 30 miles. I was told I was dropping off in White River Jct Vt but had to go to Ascutney VT 20 miles away. I called the afternoon of pickup once I looked at the contract and did not speak with the location but it went to a U-Haul operator. The whole thing cost me over $200 more than I was quoted over the phone.Richard R.

All employees are always nice and easy to deal with. I'm not sure whom the employee is. When I checked in the truck end of the day about 4 pm 11/23/22. If I physically come in the store I expect the vehicle to be brought up to the front door. I do not want to have to wander around in the parking lot to find the vehicle. The vehicle I rented I had out for l an hour....I stopped at Walmart for my husband to go and get a few things...after 20 minutes we went to leave I turned the key the engine was stone dead...I called the store who said I had to call 800 uhaul...we sat there a total of 2 hours waiting for roadside assistance...I called back after an hour and spoke to someone who said the agent had been trying to contact me...when I filed the request I supplied my cell phone number as the number to call....my home phone was on the contract but so was my husband's as an alternate...finally 2 hours an 15 minutes later I I was on my way and promptly returned the truck...of note there was a service message that said service battery charging system...I was rented a truck that had a faulty alternator and as a result was stranded for over 2 hoursann O.

This UHaul has poor respect for people's time and poor communication. The manager had zero concern for his customers and essentially told me he didn't care if I complained because there was nothing I could do. I made an appointment through the main UHaul number for a hitch installation for 10am. I was told on the phone it would take about 3 hours and I could wait or go and come back. I arrived at 10am and waited 15 minutes in line. They told me the technician had just arrived as I walked up. I asked him how long he thought it would take and he looked under the car and told me again, 3 hours and he would call me when it was ready. I called at 1:30pm (3,5 hours) and was told that it was a "drop off" which meant that they hadn't even started yet and couldn't give me any time estimate since drop offs are "due" by the end of the day. I was never informed of this by anyone at any time until I called to check on the status. The manager acted like I was a complete idiot for not somehow knowing this. He arrogantly denied any responsibility and told me that his team had followed all of their protocol and "hadn't dropped the ball"- it is assumed that you know that your car will just be there until they call you- even though they don't tell you that. I'm still sitting here at UHaul now EIGHT HOURS later still waiting for my car. Everyone treated me completely condescendingly and acted like they didn't care what I thought since there was nothing I could do.Meggan W.

The whole process for getting set up with a storage space was efficient and fast! I was impressed with how quickly I was able to get a storage unit. I was also impressed with there being a conveyor belt for the units on a higher or lower floor as well as being able to use carts to help move everything in and out. The staff was always friendly with any questions. The check out process was easy and quick. I've already recommended U-Haul storage to family and friends. Even though I would recommend this site, I had issues upon arrival. I ordered the trailer on line early this year. May I believe, when I arrived at this site to pick up my trailer I was told that they did not have a reservation for me. Does the on line application site talk to the site if pick up??DANIEL C.

The only blip in my experience is that I couldn't leave my car at the location for the duration of my rental. I was able to park it in a friend's driveway not far from the location, but it would have been helpful to be able to park there or be directed to someplace close by where I could park overnight. Until I figured out my personalized plan, I almost canceled my rental. The staff I interacted with at this location were terrific: friendly, helpful, and professional.Michael S.

Love this U-Haul location, they treat you like a real person and not a number. Everyone here is hard working, friendly and knowledgeable. Super nice and everyone was working really hard, but the whole thing was a total shitshow. It started with trying to book an appointment. Could not get an answer the first few times I tried to call. Then someone who was clearly not with the local office took my order and so I was less than confident things were going to be set up and people really were expecting me. So i called to confirm, got the local people and they said "yes, all set." BUT when I showed up they were not expecting my car -- or at least my specific car. There was a new person on and so he required quite a bit of help. When I asked at first how long it would take I was told about an hour and half and was encouraged to wait for it. 1:15 later my car had not gone in yet, and that when I asked someone else and he said "what car are you waiting on?" "It's an Audi" "Nope, no Audi's scheduled today. Oops, yeah I guess it is. Shit." 3 and half hours later they had finished the install. Very happy with the quality of work. But yes, the process could be improved. And yes, despite all that I would still recommend them. I just would suggest someone plan drop their car off all day.Mark S.
I waited two months from when I made the appointment online. I went there on the first date they made for the installation and the wire harness was on backorder, they said they would e-mail or call me when it came in. They called a month later and said then the installer quit and set up for the installation a month later. I finally had the hitch installed. The lack of communication was terrible.John B.

Ubox released to the moving company for delivery was not mine. They have to go back to pick up the right one. Movers did do a good job but U-Haul was terrible from the start the order was messed up so many times! I felt like I worked as a dispatcher on the phone for hours at a time to get things right and you got paid! Absolutely terrible experience with U-Haul as far as scheduling. I would never recommend or use your service again. Movers that loaded the Ubox in Vegas and unloaded in Dalton were great but U-Haul as a community that did the rest of the transaction does not deserve to get paid. TerribleElena G.

I was VERY disappointed in uhaul. I have worked with this company several times and I am highly unlikely to use it again. The people answering the corporate phone number seemed to try however the people in New Hampshire; Lebanon, Bradford and traffic control, were rude, unhelpful and unclear. I made NUMEROUS calls to try and coordinate the end of contract and hit wall after wall after wall. Listen to the calls all of them. eventually Tim who identified himself as the NH traffic manager promised me (call on Saturday 9/17) that my boxes would leave Bradford on Tuesday morning at 8 am and he would call me. Mickey the manager from Lebanon claimed I could call him as well. Tim did not call. The boxes did not leave until almost 930 am and Mickey didn't answer. this was unnecessary stress for me. the complete failure to communicate within your company is inexcusable. PS I tried to use the online link and it did not work, repeatedly. The entire experience was painful, unnecessary, sloppy and lazy. Although I am sure I will move again, I can not imagine using uhaul again. very very disappointed.Danielle P.

This storage facility is the best. I have used others in the past and none come close to U-haul. I have storage my belongings for 6 years there and previously years ago.. The staff is friendly , always willing to help. The storage areas themselves are immaculate. The hallways glow as well as the units themselves. Cleanliness is amazing . He's the Clint Eastwood of UHaul sans the bloodshed! Faye and Taylor light up the place with their smiles and willingness to always help! It's always a fun experience there! The code we were given with the online check-in process didn't work, and the woman manning the desk had no idea how to fix it. She found another woman who tried to fix it and couldn't. Then they asked another man who worked there who tried to give me a key card and the key card wouldn't work. So I went back and waited with my stuff (and crew of people who were helping unload the truck) until they got me a keycard that could access the place where my unit was. On to the unit. The storage unit we were given was marketed as a 10 x 15, but when we arrived there was a massive square removed from it (for I'm assuming stairs to the upstairs). For 200 dollars a month I was expecting (and needed) a full 10 x 15 storage unit. Very disappointed about this.Stephanie R. | Online Move In

I was very impressed with the facility and the staff. Everyone I had contact with at any time over the last year that I had the storage unit was always friendly, helpful, patient, kind and accommodating.
