All the employees were very friendly, professional and the pm shift went above & beyond to make returning the equipment super easy.
ashley Y.I had to go back to this location 3 times because the gentleman behind the counter had not a clue how to navigate on a computer to get the standing multiple other customers taken care of. Cody was a Blessing that finally came to my rescue. When I returned the item, the gentleman that assisted only had profanity to express and had the nerve to say “you'll have to excuse my French.†This is one of the most unprofessional business that I have truly ever encountered. And just so you know, I don't take pleasure In having to share these Truths with you. I wish it was the opposite. Multiple very unhappy customers all three visits.

Toria W.It is so close to impossible to rent anything from here. The process is soo ridiculous. Cash is supposed to be king and you can't even use cash for anything. You have to have a credit card. Not everyone has a credit card so the employees tell you to basically lie and use whoevers credit card you can get your hands on because cash is nothing there. So absolutely completely overly ridiculous!!!!

Phil B.I had reserved a furniture dolly 4-5 days before I needed it. When I went in to ask for it, the manager of the location said he didn't have one available. When I asked about it he couldn't be bothered to try and compromise or find a solution, he didn't try to offer a hand truck or anything. This isn't the first time I've had issues at this location. Very poor customer service especially considering it was the manager
Russell D.I have used this location several times. They are always slow and unprofessional. It took over 30 minutes just to drop off a truck when there were two people working outside. The woman with the last name Harrison was too busy telling everyone that she had to leave soon to take her father to the bank to focus on assisting me with turning in this truck. I stood and watched and listened to them talking about random topics wasting uhauls time and mine. At one point I was told to wait inside and the people working in there were not kind. Slow doesn't begin to describe the work they are doing. As every time before they are trying to apologize to everyone in line for their mistakes. The old guy talking so loud on the phone about dropping something off in Florida was a great touch. This location is a sad example for u haul. Totally unprofessional! I will not be back

For this location they are busy and I feel they need at least 2 counter people majority of the time, especially in the afternoons. That's when I have always been in to pick up Anthony was great especially with the outdated slow computer system. It was 10yrs ago and still slow today.

Mike B.When we picked up the trailer, the tech that hooked us up (Miranda) said that the trailer lights do not work with the Auto headlight mode of our truck. Not true. The lights worked fine prior to and after the headlights coming on after dark.
andrew B.I was in this U-Haul store several times. I got a hitch installed as well as light kit for my vehicle, along with boxes which required several trips to the store. Each time I was present in the store there was some sort of computer glitch going on in the U-Haul computer system, I was not located in the system, nor was my reservation. I received about a dozen phone calls asking to confirm my reservation(s) after changes had been made as well as after I had already picked up the trailer. I needed to change my original reservation due to an illness .My original pick up date paperwork had the correct drop off destination on the print-out as well as in the online portal and U-Haul app. The employees were not able to locate the trailer assigned to me upon pick-up, I think that they my have reassigned another trailer to me. They also pointed out that they did not have a solution to prevent theft of the trailer or a way to lock the hitch to the vehicle. I was very astonished, a strong bicycle lock, purchased elsewhere, took care of this issue. A missed sales opportunity as well as a lack of product knowledge. The pick-up store had real challenges in scheduling the drop off location to the U-Haul store in Yuma. I did not notice error this until I was on the road. First they had me routed to drop off in somewhere in TN, I called them to alert the error. Then the drop off location that was chosen was 300 miles away from my home in AZ, and finally after my 2nd call alerting the error from the road, the correct location was found. Perhaps a computer system update and/or better employee training is called for at this location. Everyone was very nice, polite and apologetic for the disorganization problems.

The owner/manager was helpful, they cleaned each vehicle dropped off (even though I had vacuumed, wiped down the interior, swept and cleaned the bed, and ensure the windshield was able to be seen through (unlike at pick up). I would recommend to family and friends I have in the Chattanooga areas.

RUSSELL D.I made my reservation a month in advance. Prior to pick up my location was changed. I arrived to pick up the tow dolly and truck, the size truck I "reserved" was not available and neither was the tow dolly, but offered a transport trailer. After 15 mins I they found me a tow dolly and I had to go to a different location. Upon arrival my reservation and online confirmation were no longer in the system. The truck I reserved was not available, so they gave me bigger truck that got 9,9 mpg. What should have been a simple transaction took most of the afternoon.

It took almost an hour of my rental time to just get the car. This is unacceptable. Also, there was a mile discrepancy what my rental agreement said and what was actually on the odometer. The store told me they would correct it after I was done using the car, I had to pay for those extra miles when I finished returning my car online. Terrible experience with this Uhaul location, most likely not going to go there again.

John J.Mobile check in did not work. The owner and customer service agents working the desks were helpful, but very slow. They spoke to each other the entire time but didn't speak to me directly very much. The owner was talking to all the workers while he was trying to check me in. It took awhile and I got my rental about 30 minutes after I was scheduled to. Which isn't a huge deal, but we were really fighting the weather to get packed up that evening. So those minutes mattered more than they normally would have.

Jimmy P.Ignition/Starter did not work after I had picked up the truck. I had to call Roadside Assistance. When he came, he pulled off over 6' of black electrical tape that was holding together the damaged ignition switch. They went and made a second key because they blamed it on damage to the key. He was the one using a pliers to try and bend the shape of it. I didn't do anything to the key. The new key still couldn't get it to turn over. It was not the battery. He hooked up a self-contained jumper battery to it. The battery was not dead. They told me I could go home and leave the truck parked in the street in the middle of my new neighborhood. They called me at 2:30 in the morning, to let me know that the wrecker service was there to tow the U haul truck away!! 2:30 in the morning!!! They are in my new neighborhood with a tractor/trailer size tow truck to haul it away. That was completely uncalled for! They could have waited until at least 7 or 8. Very upsetting for many people.

Joseph-Alonzo W.Provide the customer with the requested location and equipment. My pickup was 30 miles from my requested location. I ordered an appliance dolly and furniture pads...neither was provided. I expected the truck to have a full tank of gas. It only had a quarter of a tank of gas at pickup.
George H.1) Send receipt as a pdf, not a picture on a website. 2) Encourage your employee to improve their personal hygiene. Not Anthony, but whoever accepted the keys when I returned the truck stank. I had to wait as he completed a rental for a couple. He did a great job, covering all aspects of the rental with them, but when I walked up to the counter, I was assaulted by his odor. Otherwise it was a good experience. The truck was clean and ready. The customer service was good. No problems, no pressure. I'll use this location again in a few weeks.

Tammy M.I rented 2 dollies weeks in advance. When I locked up the truck they told us they didn't have any and forced us to buy a new one. Be prepared or use a new one to fulfill the obligations you promised. The truck also had a bad break sensor go off as soon as I started the truck.

The person living in storage burglarized multiple units (including mine) by climbing over the wall on the top floor. She stole every tool I owned, which took years to acquire. The employees denied any wrong doing when the police became involved.

The training level of the staff is inconsistent. My most recent interaction in Chattanooga on Hixon Pike I met Anthony. I must say at this location he is the only one with sufficient knowledge to get you in and out but has absolutely no customer service skills. It appears that his dog died many years ago and he's never gotten over it.

This was upsetting since everyone I've spoke to with regards of uhaul has given different & wrong info. He did finally give me the 1st month free. When I returned the van to Ringgold rd in Chattanooga that person agreed with me and said he gave me the wrong info. Some people need better training.

Anytime request made, it took way too long for staff to help with what was requested…keeping door open when loading/unloading so didn't have to keep entering code; closing out accounts; billing issues…all seemed too hard for staff to do. Rat turds upon clean out when not in my stuff…so those little black boxes obviously just for show. Unit was secure except top open if someone wanted to access unit. Just an unfriendly place that was an unpleasant experience unless just doing something in unit itself. Will NOT recommend to even my enemy!

Amanda G. | Expérience généraleMy experience was frustrating as I made a reservation a couple weeks prior to moving but then, on moving day, after driving 10,5 hours from D.C., when I called to confirm the reservation I was told there was no space available. I went to other U Haul locations around Chattanooga to try and find storage but all were full. I ended up going to this location to see if something could be worked out. Upon arrival, I spent 15 minutes waiting for someone to show up at the desk and when they did they had headphones on, spoke shortly to me, and gave an overall rude reception. I explained the situation and they repeated the same story I heard on the phone. I insisted that there must be some space because another U Haul location (Broad Street) had reported that this location (Hixon) was only at 90 % capacity. The individual then had us walk through the entire first floor of the storage facility where there were, indeed, available storage units. I guess they had just been unwilling to get up and look themselves before. Despite the situation being "technically" resolved, I was very disappointed in the lack of customer care and professionalism that was demonstrated and unfortunately, my perception of U Haul has diminished after this experience.

The coded electronic doors give added security. I felt my belongings were safe. My experience with this Uhaul location was GREAT and I highly recommend for short or long term storage!

I said wow i didnt get any kinda notice or warning. And also, with the shortage of trucks on the weekend, i couldnt get a reservation until 5:15pm and i had to move a little the same day and the rest the next day. All of this occured because of the facility closing at 7th. When asked why the facility changed hours, they're only response was because people dont know how to act. Didnt really understand that but i dont feel i should've had to suffer because of someone's urge to break the law.

Not to big of a deal because the Chattanooga location is amazing and always helpful! The drop off for our truck was in Athens Ga and that was terrible. The curly headed girl behind the counter had no clue what was going on. She told us to park the truck under the green tent and give her the keys. I asked several time if that's all that needed to be done she said yes. We dropped of the truck on Sunday at 4:45. A day early. I was called literally 5 times since Monday people asking where the truck was. I explained that we dropped it off Sunday and everything, my husband also had a conversation with someone as well. I will never use the U-Haul in Athens again. They have no clue what they are doing.

Robert R. | Expérience généraleI rented an 8x8x8 on the second floor for $84,95/mo. When I arrived I was informed there was no elevator, only stairs and I had heavy items. Nothing in the rental process indicated a lack of elevator service at the facility. The staff found a storage unit on the first floor that was 12 x 8 x 8 and I was quoted a price of $104,95/month. I agreed and when accessing the location, the ceiling was barely 6' high, not the 8' advertised. Ok, and when I checked out, I noticed a sign advertising that size locker at a rate of 124,95 and when she rang it up, it came up as 129,95/mo. When I asked the question about the difference in what she quoted, the sign, and the computer she yelled at me for asking the question and threatened to cancel my reservation. I explained that, as a customer, there were three conflicting amounts and all I did was ask a question. She then said, "that's what the computer is printing out, I can't do anything about that. Overall a very negative experience.

Every employee whom I met during this time was always very helpful & courteous. The facility was always orderly & free of bugs. I rented a truck to bring my furniture from SC to Tennessee & was pleased with the truck. I highly recommend U-Haul to anyone who needs their services.

I complained about this and was told they were goin to resolve the issue and call me within 72 hrs. That did not happen. I feel uhaul owes me 144.94. The unit I reserved was not 12x10x12 I was told to go somewhere else. So I did. I used uhaul mainly because they offered me one month free.

When we arrived at the storage unit the reservation that I had made in advance was not on their computer even tho I had printed the paper showing the reservation number and date. Thankfully, there were storage units available but if there were none available that would have been a huge problem because I had a Bellhops crew there to unload the truck and put everything in storage.
