Have the reserved equipment available, make sure the interior light works, and especially make sure there aren't two bald tires on the truck. We had a blow out on the highway due to bald tires. Luckily no one was hurt.

Looks as if he was a 1 man show there. There was 1 man working, and he had lots of things going on. I did have my pickup scheduled at noon, so maybe everyone was at lunch, but he was busy.

My issue isn't with the uhaul facility. It's with the Uhaul system. Process of advanced checking in due to covid to speed up the process is a joke. Because when you arrive they ask you everything you just put in online. Also the list of available drop off locations need to be updated.

The woman working Saturday around 1PM (i-10, Bmt TX) was very slow in processing the long line of customers because she was training another employee. She didn't acknowledge any of the 7 people waiting while she came and went checking in and out one customer at a time. More staffing would have been ideal on a busy Saturday. After checking in my rental thoroughly and explaining everything and adding personal experience stories to her trainee, she said I was done. I took that opportunity to tell her there was no toilet paper or paper towels in the climate controlled facility(that I just spent 3 hours moving into). She laughed it off while saying her housekeeper was off today. She then went back into the office. I walked past an overflowing trashcan in the parking lot to my ride only to hear how rude the woman had been to my friend waiting for me in the parking lot and to another potential customer. Everyone that I had encountered prior to the this woman did an outstanding job handling my account, from picking up in lake charles to the multiple phone calls I had to make to find storage an hour away from where I need to be due to the losses in our hometown area. I had to pay extra to move and store my items due to the hurricane decreasing availability. A wrong turn upon arrival put me short in gas and over in milage beside being late w the truck. I'd expect the facility to be properly staffed and maintained. I also had a lot of problems with app account...I wasn't able to use it hardly at all. Thank you for your time, Heather LeJune

Filed a dispute for double billing - charged twice for day rental. Not told hour rental, was not told when trailer due back for day rental and was told store closed at 7pm when Customer asked when store closed for return of trailer. Trailer was returned 6:37 pm and Customer was asked to unhitch, which customer declined. Customer also asked for receipt at return but was denied and referred to email receipt - which Customer has reviewed and dispute for double billing.

I don’t live here anymore so when the storage got flooded I wasn’t able to come here until now. When I went to clean it out they said they went in there to make sure there wasn’t any mold. Several pairs of Jordan and Nike sneakers are missing. I had a pair of red bottom heals that I only had worn twice are all beat up like someone wear them in a marathon. I’m just glad they were not missing as well. The sneakers were stored high enough that I know they did not get damaged in the flood. I believe the were stolen.

When picking up our 20' truck at assigned time on Saturday, were told that the 2 furniture dollies ordered were not available so had to do without. When we were checking out condition, mileage and fuel level of truck against info shown in app to confirm, realized they gave us wrong vehicle and had to change it out causing delay. Whole environment was chaotic—one person trying to handle everything. When we arrived, person at desk was taking care of irate customer on phone who had an empty pod delivered to his driveway instead of his pod with contents—the response was sorry you'll have to wait until Monday to have the correct one delivered. Would not recommend this location.

there were several $10-$20 discrepancies between the contract we signed and what I was billed. I was moved up to higher, more expensive insurance. The "rental charge" jumped $20 between quote and bill. and no one there has bothered to talk to me about it

This was a busy time of year apparently because there was ALWAYS a wait in the Beaumont, Texas store every time I had to stop in (hitch installation, trailer pickup and final hitch pickup due to wrong insert). Some personnel were friendly, some had little patience but then I think mask-wearing requirements has had an impact on service too!!

Well, it was all great, but I had to return the truck soon after I picked it up because my moving helper got sick. So I paid the fees for nothing. This is in no way UHauls fault, but I had hoped to maybe recover some of what I paid. Thank you & I will definitely rent from Uhaul in the future.

The supervisor that was working that day was very unprofessional arguing with customers instead of handling it better than what he did he went back and forth with the man. Personally I was tired of waiting and hearing him tell the customer I don't have to do anything and customers aren't always right first of customers are always right even when they are wrong. You help them the best way you can defuse the situation not dragging it on. I asked him to please do his job I have things I need to attend to. I told me how to self check out and continued to argue. I went on and did the self check out so he decided to give me a hassle while holding the keys to the uhaul truck at that point he had really frustrated me. I refuse to to tell anyone about that location.

Reservation agent, Charles, thought that the 10' truck would have a loading ramp. It was for a short refrigerator move. So I reserved that and an appliance dolly. He did not mention that the truck would not be available at the original shop on College Ave. (I found out reading the email reservation confirmation.) That email also had a wacky pickup time. Anyway, the new location was relatively close by. The agent at the new location on Milam was nice enough to notice the 10' truck had no ramp and upgraded to the 15' which had a ramp. However, there was no appliance dolly even though that was also emailed as confirmed. The agent called the store on Lawrence Dr north of town who said they had dollies. When I got there, about 10 miles round trip further, at $0.79 a mile, the manager said there were none to spare. Made the truck rental almost useless. Tried to use the little $7 dolly attached to the truck. Wasn't even close to being useful. So suggestions - 1) appliance dollies need to actually available. Otherwise it's wrong of you to confirm as reserved. 2) educate/train your reservation agents much better, or have them work in a field location for practical experience first. Also the wacky pickup time on that reservation confirmation email indicates the reservation agent didn't know his computer screen very well, either. Thanks

The manager was rude. I wasn't wearing a mask because it gives me anxiety, he called me out in corny of six other customers and told me to put a mask on, which I did. Then he preceded to ridicule me further verbally and was argumentative. He was unprofessional and rude.

Call the agent twice on the day to check on the time if they would close one hour before I was to pick the trailer up they called me and said they had rented it to someone else how to rent a trailer 100 miles away said he would be fine $50 if he gave me the trailer that I had already reserved very poor service

Biggest issue was my original online reservation was not held, said they had a trailer in Baytown, called day before said they didn't and wanted me to drive 30 minutes away and 3 hours later so I canceled and found another location. Also, the customer service associate at 1800GoUhaul was clueless. After waiting 25 minutes, she was no assistance in helping with my drop off location.

I rented a 15 ft. Moving truck for a day and paid $259 which included a $100 deposit for the type of debit card I used but was also charged a $60 deposit for a $10 appliance dolly that was not refunded back to me upon return. I was unaware of the deposit for the dolly and spoke to two customer service agents who stated that was unheard of. I am still waiting for my refund.

yall left an unknown lock on the u hual without giving me a code to it. I was told from another u haul place that u guys were supposed to take it off. which put hours of waiting in my moving day going to different places to get it off. which we than finally broke it off.(I placed lock in truck) which I than had to drive an hour to get the u-haul. my moving day was completely horrible and I think I should get some kind of an refund back.

This was by far the worst experience ever. It would help if they had vehicles available for people who had reservations. Got to the facility at 10 and waited in line for over an hour due to one person working. They didn't even have a vehicle for me. Tell me to come back at 3 and I was told someone stole the van reserved for me 😳

I made my reservation online and did the pre-check prior to my arrival. When I arrived, I still had to wait over 30 minutes while the representative went to find the vehicle, then had to clean it out. I had also requested an appliance dolly which they were not able to find until I was about to leave. The point of doing an online reservation and pre-check is to ensure everything is ready so the customer does not have to wait.

was charged $26 plus change for fuel. I checked it out @ half tank and filled tank up to half tank for drop off. Took over 3 hours to finish; was told and released (had to ask for paperwork) that no additional fees required. Got home later to find my credit card had been charged for fuel. ERROR and would like a refund.

The 10' truck we reserved wasn't there so they offered us a 15'. It wouldn't start so they sent us 30miles to Kountze TX to pick one up and the address led us to an abandoned building. with no Uhaul trucks anywhere. Then back to Beaumont and got a 20' truck. When the manager reached out in response to my request for the amount paid to reflect the original reservation cost, he was rude, disrespectful and laughed at me. His name is Phillip Jarmon. When I asked him to stop laughing at me and I felt that he was being very disrespectful, his last words were. You can hold please and maybe I can find someone who can talk to you with respect. Pull the call and listen to his attitude. He should be written up at least.

Roadside assistance would be a great starting point! Having a blow out, on rented trailer without a spare tire, in the middle of nowhere late at night. Phone just rang for 27 minutes, left to handle myself! Poor service, I plan never to use again!

I registered online to speed up the process as your instructions indicated. It made no difference. I had to answer all the questions again. As a result I had to wait approximately 45 minutes to get processed to pick up the equipment.

The box on the unit I rented leaked when it rained. The truck was loaded inside a garage and unloaded under an awning so I had only went less than 10 miles in the rain and the front of the box took on quite a bit of water. Luckily my equipment was towards the back of the truck and only tops of boxes were wet. I also returned the truck after bringing the fuel gauge back to where it was (1/2 way between 1/4 and 1/2). Drove 3 miles and dropped it off after closing. I was charged because they saw the tank below where I took it? How can this be verified with a gauge that moves around when idling. There are also no marks between 1/4 and 1/2 so how can this be justified?

This location was good however my original booking was at another location which stated that they were open and I could pick the truck through my phone. Upon arriving at the facility I was denied checking in, and they system said to wait for in person check in despite the fact it was clear no one was going to show up. After wasting over half an hour waiting for a phone representative I was told to go to this new location. So overall my impression is poor service and you should properly show which facility is open correctly, if not then show only Uhaul locations.

The storage was great Philip the manager is awesome the whole insurance thing for flood and this is a flood area really ran me hot if I would have known it wasn’t covered I would have took my chances without paying for insurance only to get no help from Fema so I lost things that were valuable so it hurt like I’m sure it did for others.

We were sorely disappointed with how this location handled our belongings during Tropical Storm Imelda, Sept 2019. The staff took it upon themselves to dispose of our furniture and various items without giving us a chance to make an assessment, even though they promised to do so. The items were in storage while we renovated our property and since then we've had to refurnish the whole house. Phillip, one of the owners of this location, is the ABSOLUTE WORST when it comes to customer service. He goes out of his way to present a DISMISSIVE & UNCARING attitude.
