I walked into the store and was immediately assigned a person to help me return the trailer. The gentleman was pleasant and very helpful detecting the trailer while asking if I liked the rental. I was there over an hour in line waiting thru previous customers' issues. I finally got checked in with issues during my checkin just to go out to a truck that had no gas. My paperwork reflected 3/8 of a tank. If that was the case, the truck would not have indicated empty upon leaving the lot. Had to gas up before heading to my appt which I was already late for. Then I was called the next day to return the truck I had returned the evening before. I was also charged almost $30 for gas when I returned the truck with more gas than I recvd the truck with. Returned truck 1/4 tank full. Waiting for manager to call me to rectify charge.Candace B.

Costumer service was very good.I was not satisfied when I turn in the keys and the gentleman told me my total bill was $86 and the young lady that rented me the truck told me it was going to be $56 totaljuan G.
After waiting in line for over a half hour, I finally got the keys to the truck. Only to find out it had already been rented to another person, and there was another truck parked in front of it. So the gentleman and I went in and waited on line again to get helped. They ended up giving me the original truck and hime the one that was blocking my way. Turns out his truck didn't work so we went back in to fix it again.By then I had wasted so much time that it would be very difficult to get to the where I needed to be in time so the person behind the counter told me to just call the 1800 number to make sure I didn't get charged. After waiting for over 30 minutes on hold I have up. I went to get the van the next day only to find out that the system showed I was late returning the van that I couldn't even move the day before. The girl got it all squared away for me but it should have never gotten to that point to begin with. I spent so much time in that place and lost a whole day of moving. Ohhhh and I didn't get the dolly. But didn't feel like waiting another 30-40 minutes and shaving time off of the 4 hours I had. There was a 50 dollar guarantee, and the truck definitely was not ready that day.Sophia P.
Picking up the equipment went as it should. Dropping off the equipment was a different story. I pulled in and they disconnected the tow dolly from my truck, I took my copy of the rental agreement into the office. I got into what I thought was the return line which had three people standing around the desk of this person whom i thought would check me in. I waited for a couple of minutes when I realized they were all employees. She looked up at me and I asked if she needed to check in my return, she said no I was fine and I left. Two days later I get a voice mail stating that the tow trailer I had rented was two days late and if not returned it would be reported stolen. I immediately called back and told the person that I had already returned it gave her my name and she put me on hold, when she returned she said yes I had returned it and all was corrected. I do not like being threatened with theft, and since that facility is not run in a business like manor I will not be going back to that facility, they have lost me as a customer.Paul S.
We used Uhaul 3 times for our move across the US. EACH TIME had a terrible experience and overcharged in 2 of the 3 times. Also had to sleep on Ceramic tiles 3 nights due to their errors! Never recommend to anyone!Jennifer W.
I've used Uhaul many times and I have to say this was the worst experience I've had. Every other time has been great. The staff was very slow and didn't seem to know what was going on. It took them 20 minutes to find the keys to my truck. When I got to the truck, it had trash on the passenger seat and the gas tank was on E. One of the employees understood my frustration and was nice enough to throw in a complimentary dolly. Unfortunately he didn't close the back door all of the way. I drove a couple blocks down the street to the gas station and people were honking at me about the door being open. I pulled over and found the dolly down the road. Also after my move when I started the truck to head back, there was no air. Then a after a couple blocks, the truck died. I had to stop in the middle of the road and restart the truck. That happened two more times on my way back to uhaul. The truck wasn't overheating so I'm not sure what was going on but I sure hope they service the truck before giving it to another customer. All around this experience was very poor. I would never use that location again. Very unorganized and most of the customers in line were upset.JESSE R.

We slept on Ceramic tile floors for 2 extra nights because the didn't have our box pulled twice. Then we we're WAY overcharged for their error!,Each truck rental went terrible and we we're overcharged both times. Uhaul was the only issue we had our entire.move!!!!!!Jennifer W.

the uhaul employees never checked the trailer back in with their computer system. They called me 3 days later asking why i didn't return it. I told them I did, it's in their yard. They still charged me 2 days and i had to call in to get it corrected to 1 day. it was just a mistake, but pretty inconvenient on my end.Michael L.

U haul in Clearwater, Florida using Heavy Weight moving company was excellent! They brought the container and were great guys ! iU haul in Phoenix was not as reliable. They didn't have my container ready Sunday May 15 as promised so I had to wait for the fork lift operator to get it. This wasted time of course. I had wanted to get a few things. Also , they didn't have it ready for the movers again on May 19. Despite repeal attempts by me to try to schedule it both through your customer service abs through the mani manager who didn't return my phone calls. Luckily the movers who contract knew all about how inefficient they can be , it got delivered and unloaded. The staff at the u haul was okay. Bryan was nice to us. And so was the fork lift operator. Thank you again. Overall I haul made it a good experience except for a few things. I left all the furniture pads in the container including some that were left from heavy weight moving company I stop haven't opened my boxes. Hope everything is okay. I will let you know ! Kudos to Heavy weight moving company in Clearwater Florida and Jason and Harleys valley wide moving in Phoenix Arizona. Good men in both companies!! Location was undermanned. 1 person running the store, waited over 1 hr to pick up equipment that I made a reservation for. Same situation hon returning equipment. There was 1 person taking returns and handling customers. Filling up the gas to the amount when picked up was tricky - turned the ignition off/on multiple times and the gauge wouldn't move. My the time it moved, I had overfilled the tank, which you don't provide credit for - so that was really disappointing.Todd C.

I have never ever had to encounter such a bad customer service experience in my life. My U-box was supposed to be delivered on 4/30/22 from Phoenix to my new Chicago address. I call the day of (4/30) to confirm the status of my box since I hadn't heard anything, but figured that since I scheduled it online for that day that everything was fine. When I called, I was told it was scheduled for 5/2/2022, without my knowledge. I had selected 4/30/2022 when I scheduled my delivery to avoid additional fees due to financial reasons. When I called (773) 376-0478, Diana not only promised me a call from a manager (which I never received), she implied that it was fault for not picking up one of the two calls to confirm delivery (no voicemails were left). For background knowledge, when my U-box was originally delivered in Phoenix for me to load, I not only received calls from the store and driver, I got an email, text, and I believe a voicemail (when call was not answered) stating delivery details which allowed me to stay aware of the status of things. However, the process for delivery to my new Chicago address was not as smooth; not even close. I never received updates on delivery status so how is a customer supposed to know if U-haul calls in an age of spam calls when no follow-up was made? It's truly poor customer service protocol to not follow up in other ways. I tried calling the Chicago Brighton Park location since on the online portal, it showed that's where my box was located but Diana was truly not helping; hanging up every time I would call. I had to call the general customer service number and wait a total of 4 hours to even get someone who could help! Someone named Mariah was finally able to assist me and she was very helpful. Letting me know that the additional fees would be refunded (they haven't yet). 5/2/2022 comes around and I was delivered an empty box! After calling U-haul, I was able to finally receive my things on 5/3/2022. However, I was charged an additional moving and storage fee the day of. Please keep in mind that I was delivered the wrong box and got my proper u-box delivered late! I called the driver this morning, who told me U-haul has been trying to contact me but I have been ALERT by being near my phone and checked my missed calls: NOTHING. I have requested a full refund for my horrible experience but haven't heard back which is no surprise. I have never felt more disrespected and under-valued by a company's customer service. I will consider other moving options in the future. Avoid ordering a U-box from u-haul, if possible.alexandra C.

My experience with U-haul is a Twin-tale. The Phoenix group Was excellent from start to finish. They were very organized and very helpful. The Vancouver group, not so much. In fact, their incompetence was very stressful. I was given multiple times that the box would be delivered. When a time was finally established, it did show up, albeit late. My biggest complaint is with the pickup of the empty box. They said they tried to contact me â€œtwiceâ€ to confirm. That is not true. (NOTE->) whoever logged in to the system that I was called Is less than honest as My cell records all incoming calls. There weren'ny. Consequently I had to make multiple call, which resulted in being hung up on twice in the process. I also believe I was charged more than my original quote. That said, I'm not willing to deal with the Vancouver group again. Both people I talked to insisted on talking over the top of me, then hanging up in the middle of the conversation.jack J.

When I picked up I was told that I had to buy a hitch and ball to go on my vehicle. This was not the case on my previous rental of the same trailer type at another location (Order #: 20207213). When we dropped the trailer off we were told that the return was all good and we received our final receipt. The next day we were getting calls that the trailer would be reported stolen because we had not returned it. After calling back we were then advised that the trailer was indeed returned. Why threaten that it would be reported stolen before the employees had checked to verify that the trailer was already on the lot and just was not checked in properly? Uhaul is a good company to work with, but this location needs some customer focus training.Adam M.

Go over the mileage on rentals a little better. I went under the estimated mileage, but paid the amount that was estimated. When I went in there to tell them that I needed to close my reservation there's only one person handling setting up trucks and trailers and dealing with the front in the store and I was waiting 45 minutes. Another time it seems like when I returned my truck one of the gentleman that helped me up told me that he hated his boss and the U-Haul is a terrible place to work, so I think maybe they should probably get new management or someone to help out that store because it seems like they really need it.eleonor g. | Expérience générale

Prior to making a reservation for my 10x15 rental, I first came to U-Haul at I-17 and McDowell to purchase a number of boxes for my move. I was ably assisted by Alfonso, who I assumed was management due to his knowledge of his product and his professional demeanor. On a return visit to make a storage unit reservation, I was again assisted by Alfonso. From the beginning of the reservation process through the actual move-in, Alfonso has been very attentive, shown great intelligence, has been extremely professional, and is very friendly. He allowed me the time I needed to make educated decisions and was very patient with me. He made the entire experience seem effortless. Alfonso is a major asset to your organization and he should be commended for his work. The storage unit was as expected. Very clean and spacious. Made a reservation and received confirmation email. Staff could not locate the reservation initially and when they did find it in their system, they said it was no longer available. Came back the next day during access hours, but the staff had forgotten to open the doors. From start to finish, a negative experience here. We arrived from California to empty our storage unit only to find ALL of our furniture COVERED in a thick layer of dirt and dust due to their current construction. It scratched our wood furniture and our TV. Our couch was covered with the greasy dust and we had to pay a professional to come clean it for us before moving it into our new hone. When we asked if there was an compensation for the damage to our furniture we were told "No, sorry, it's just how it is." I asked for the manager to call me the next day and I was told that he would, but no one called. We have used this facility for years as our daughter is a student at GCU and we would store her things here every summer when she came home. Very, very disappointing.Daniel H. | Expérience générale
