Front desk associate was rude and acted like he didn't care. Ended up having a payment discrepancy and the same guy again, was rude and acted like he didn't care. Will not recommend Main St. location.Clifford A.
We had rented furniture pads, but they were not in the truck cabin when we picked it up using the remote check-in service. So, we had to go pick those up the next day from another location. Also, we signed up for a different location (the one on Transit), but we were switched to this location for our after-hours pick up. We heard gunshots when we picked the truck up at night--not the greatest neighborhood. That said, nothing bad happened to us, and the truck was super clean and drove great. I was surprised that a truck being used for a long-distance drive didn't have cruise control.Sandra B.

Vehicles need to be checked before renting fuel tanks should be full and equipment should be available when reserved not spend my time running around buffalo and niagara falls, getting stuck in the city with low bridges. and had to buy a wiper blade for truck for safe operation and not being repaid for this expense.Charles S.

First of all, the truck had really poor suspension. Otherwise, it was clean enough. We asked the employees if we got a refund on the gas if we didn't use at all and they said yes. But when we read the contract it said we did not. There was quite amount of unused gas in the tank when we dropped it off. About 30+ dollars worth. I would appreciate getting a refund. Also, I ordered the vehicle online put in all my information etc. Last night I checked in so I'd be all good to go. This morning we were an hour and a half late, because we didn't realize the Buffalo marathon was going on when we got to the store, they had rented out our truck without even calling us! They said if we wanted to wait as two people hadn't shown up yet. He gave these two people the courtesy of a phone call, but he couldn't do that for us? Also there was a strong smell of marijuana coming from the employee. This all took An extra 45 minutes! Very disappointed. We did eventually get the 10' truck, after waiting. The customer service was horrible. The guys they have working there are so rude. They had attitude and didn't really care what was the customers talking about. They didn't check the trucks at all, the truck was nasty and dusty, it was just horrible. Won't recommend.Tom R.

They NEVER answer the phone and NEVER call back. Very annoying. Every other Uhaul office answers their phone. However, perhaps staffing is an issue. Thankfully, I didn't need to reserve with them -- only drop off the trailer when we were done.Lucy C.

A new employee who mentioned he's only been working there a few days, (and I believe was from the Bronx) was super nice. He was helpful and was actually diligently sweeping out the back of a truck. Another gentleman checked in my truck. In and out, with receipt emailed, in a matter of just minutes.Robert P.

When I go to this location I expect to have long waits, and for the staff to not be super informative. They didn't even tell me how to return, or that I would be returning after hours. My truck's steering wheel was sticky and the cabin had a peculiar oder than I would normally ignore if the steering wheel wasn't sticky. I ordered two uhauls this week from this location and the first day they said they couldn't take my debit card, the second day they did. Its just a confusing process being made more confusing.Nina Z.

Make trucks available and don't promise equipment that's not available. The people that work here are very nice and helpful and they are doin a great job, but the u haul organization is very unorganized and a pain to work with. None of the equipment I needed was available, someone came and took my truck that I had reserved for weeks ahead of time and I had to wait for another one to be available. It shifted my entire timeline for my move and made things significantly more difficult.Shaman P.

The returning after hours was an awful experience. The website kept saying my session had expired and it was very unclear what I needed to do. Also, when they asked what time I was going to return the U-Haul van, they didn't even give me a heads up that it was going to be after hours so I had no idea what I was walking into.Nina Z.

I slipped on ice in the parking lot because it was not maintained at all. I have very bad bruising and am in a lot of pain. The truck was blocked in by a dumpster and another truck. The man working was nasty and rude to me and dismissed me when I told him I fell. He said â€œyeah I should shovelâ€. He finally got the truck out for me after being very unhelpful through the entire process and making me feel it was somewhere not his problem, and then he gave me a truck with less than 1/4 tank of gas in it. I was late to start moving, and the whole experience wrecked my day. I would really like a full refund to be honest. I regret ever renting through this company.Rebecca C.

I was charged for a year for storage I never moved into and my credit was poorly affected I would never even consider using this service again even as a suggestion. Poor service and constant calls harassing me about a storage I was unaware I even had. Lost about $38 in rent due to my moving date being moved up 3 weeks. I couldn't get refunded for weeks I would not be using it. My storage unit was a 4x4x4 upper unit and the ladder was always scattered and was a pain to move and load in. The unit itself is also not worth $50 a month. I was able to find a much bigger unit, almost triple the space, with a differn't company for only $86 here in buffalo. A unit of that size was going to cost me about $140/month at Uhaul. Staff was helpful, but your units are very overpriced for what you are getting.Kyle F. | Expérience générale
The manager, Tajh King was extremely rude to me not only during my most recent visit to the Main St. location, but during my initial visit as well. He is extremely condescending and abrasive in his tone. He blatanly lied to me and told me that he didn't have any storage units available. I went to another location and was informed that there were in fact other units available at the Main St location. Tajh also took it as far as to completely skip helping me and attempt to help another customer when I was obviously next in line. When I spoke up about Tajh deciding to skip me he claimed he didn't see me, which made absolutely no sense considering that I was standing right in front of him. I plan to speak with Todd S and write a letter to your corporate headquarters in the very near future regarding my experience. Tajh has absolutely no business managing a customer service based environment.
