The moving help (a purchased add-on from U-Haul directly) added an additional trailer rental without my consent after I had already paid for the complete service- I do not appreciate the lack of disclosure at the time of purchase! I also don't think it's fair to charge customers fees they don't initially agree to especially for the full-service package.EVA L.

The labour help we selected through the website was a disappointment. I know they are a third party to U-Haul which is why I didn't slam you on the rating however it does raise a question as to how your company vets applicants who want to be listed as "movers". My guys were completely overwhelmed with the task. I've moved a few times and could tell right away when these two tried to move the first piece that I was in trouble. They struggled but loaded one truckload but at the receiving end they made up an excuse and simply left us with the loaded truck in the driveway. My wife and I were then stuck to unload. We are elderly and believe me, it was difficult. We ended up calling a local moving company at 3:30pm on Saturday, and they came at 7:00am Sunday and completed the job by 9:30am. My guess is that the two guys we originally hired would have taken 6 hours to do the job at 200 $/hr = approx 1 200 $. The movers we hired to replace them cost all-in 1 300 $. So marginally more. But It was the stress/panic/scramble we could have done without. Having said that, the two guys did tell us to login and "cancel" their job. we did. so I thank them for telling us to do that. If I was a betting man, I think this may have been the two guys very first job. Old Adage = you get what you pay for seems to be appropriate in this case.RICHARD H.

Extremely clean. Facility looks brand new. Rented a van and small storage room. 1st month free rent! Free door lock! Staff was very friendly and helpful (even when I set off the alarm). Don't forget to enter alarm code when entering and exiting storage area! You can back up your van to the loading dock and they have dolly carts to use. It was very frustrating that I was assigned the storage 2 times and both of them occupied already. I need to went back to the front desk from warehouse twice to correct this. I dont know how storage system was so inaccurate. On 3rd time I got a vacant storage till then I was totally exhausted with all stuff moving from one point to another. They made me drop off to wrong location although I reserved and mentioned very clear.Feyzi S.
Dropping off process, once you find the key slot in the building (not clearly labeled, and not near the main entrance) is very good. However, the picking process, where I was required to take three pictures of my drivers licence, provide my credit card information twice, then go inside the main entrance to ask where to pickup the keysâ€¦which was not marked at all, and once I found an open door that was close to the key drop box, I was asked if I could be helped after announcing myself. Once I asked for the key and presented the proof of rental confirmation, I was handed the key. While having to enter the credit card information twice, and having to take three pictures of my drivers licence was inconvenient, I was rather surprised how unprofessional the pick-up process was.Peter S.

At point of sales contact on pickup of truck, rep should provide all info printed hardcopy on paper, not continuous emails and texts while customer is moving. The young man at the customer service desk has no customer service skills at all. He sent me outside to look for the rental without communicating to the other staff that I was there. After waiting for 10 minutes I called the office he answered and I said I'm waiting here did someone supposed to bring my rental? â€œHe said keep waiting they should be there soonâ€ No worries in the world for my time It was the first time that I have this terrible experience at this locationNadya M.

The service offered to connect the trailer is incorrect. The staff did connect the trailer as instructed by uhaul but the training is incorrect. The connect of the safety chains should be twisted never wrapped. As well the tow dolly will not have the rubber hook band on the in tow vehicle safety chains which cause then to fall of and draw when the trailer was not loaded.VITO M.

I was supposed to pick up near in Caledon and my Location the day before was switched. This meant I went further over the mileage, used extra gas and had to drive out of my way to get the van. Super inconvenient and if it hadn't been so last minute I would've used an alternative companyNicole P.
It took me half an hour to reach to the front desk to book reservation and like wise to drop the keys. Only one staff member is sitting on the front desk to handle the poor folk. One girl named Karims Idrees kept on talking to handsome guy for 30 min without considering the other clients. I am totally depressed with the attitude of the other staff as well. Your telephone booking process was terrible and not upfront . I called specifically because we wanted to discuss options for leaving the trunk in the city we were going to potentially. They did not diclose that this option would be costing a premium and did not explain the differences to me clearly. Thankfully the person at the location did this. I have had this level of dishonest interactuons with your company before. Your saving grace is the customer support after but maybe a good idead would be to work on this up front service. The â€œestimated fuelâ€ as provided by your chart suggested I fill 69L. I put in 75L to be safe, which turned out to be about 20L more than what I actually needed to return the gauge to where I started. I asked for a break on the mileage (as you don't do fuel credits) and was told no. Poor customer service!David E.

Wally is not a good worker he put me on hold 3 times and it was hold it was just mute as there was no music or uhalu commercial that plays and each time I waited over 30 minutes to finally hang up and call back. The 4th time i called he did not even I was on hold I asked him he said no-one called to be put on hold wow....extremely slow. Noah was good I only came back because I called one time and he put me on hold for 15 min but actually came back and was able to help me. Sorry you need either train wally or fire himrami N.

I've had positive experience at this location since its opening a few years back. Employees are courteous and helpful. I went to pick up a trailer last Saturday but forgot my connector at home. It was closing time but the gentlemen waited for me to retrieve it and hooked up the trailer after hours. The place is always clean and tidy. I would recommend this location to all.HONGHAO Z.

Hi - I dropped the truck off and a service person took the truck and said he would look after everything which was excellent service. The only issue was I got a call to ask when would I bring the truck back. Well I tried calling and after a 5 minute wait the phone hung up and then tried again after a 10 minute wait I was hung up on again. Then I guess the details of my truck return was posted and I got an email of the transaction accurately completed. An improvement to the telephone support would make this an excellent rating. Your on line check in and return system didn't work: check in required 2X attempts to get ID photo downloaded, then outside staff had no info about it and I had to stand in line afterall to check in. Return system would not take my photo of dash: saying not enough memory. Tried 3X including removing photos from my phone. Happy to see I wasn't charged the 20 $though.JAMESR S.
The location was terribly understaffed. The staff themselves were very helpful, but three folks manning a busy location wasn't good enough. Took us over 25 minutes to get the truck assigned and put on the road. Need to have a proper key drop sign - we weren't sure but ultimately dropped it on a â€˜best guess' basis into a Dropbox that wasn't very well labelled. The truck was an old one, over 106k miles or 170 000 km. It was evident we were driving a very old vehicle.Mahesh K.

Everything was excellent. A straight and forward moving experience. Staff were friendly, helpful, and communicated clearly - very appreciative for their customer service. I also really appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities. This shows pride in the product and reputable dependancy on the UHAUL brand. We go through so many time trouble to access our storage. Whenever we go their is a note ACCESS DINIED to get open wast our 1 to 2 hours. Even set up per payment with credit card, I received payment not received and late fee charged. Your phone and emergency talk button easily wast 30min to 45min. Lots things to need improved. Not informed on entry procedures. Did not know that you have to sign in on outside and also inside or alarm goes off when opening storage lockers. Made arrangements back in April for both a 20" truck and a 10" foot aware storage unit ti discover no 10" foot square was put aside fir me , had to go to Milton location with a major delayment with 6 people that I paid for to use 3 extra hours in move. Then was told I had to pay for extra mileage charge fir the travel distance that I had accrued . Very upset and disappointed. I also have to now take my possessions out July 14 in a move upcoming and travel 40 minutes as apposed to 15 minutes from my original destination in port credit . So not only upset but now I have to pay out more money to movers fir the distance they must travel to make my movie. Plus your fee of travel fir the truck coming July 14 2021. The facility is clean and has an area for recycling furniture which is great for the environment. The only thing I would have to say is that the price to space ratio is a little high. Also, I thought we would be reimbursed for the time we did not use the unit but has paid for. We closed it 7 days earlier and received no credit which other storage facilities do provide. I am very disappointed with the over all experience, Staff is very professional and helpful but over all booking or computer system is very poor. I wasted 2 hours on May 24th to add an additional storage space, I was told to find an empty unit anywhere so staff could assin to me, I found a unit with help of your staff, and it was done in correctly. Units assigned to me by your staff with my locks and 2 units were locked by your system by non payment. Great, roomy, clean storage spaces (I had rented two different sizes during the year, both exactly as described) I appreciated the two separate loading docks, both indoors, which made moving things on rainy / snowy / cold days super easy and comfortable. Staff understood my needs due to a small disability and put me as close to the front doors as possible. SO much better than the current storage facility I'm at. Because of our need to relocate both our home & business, we have experienced a number of storage companies; Public Storage, U-Haul, Apple/Access & SmartStop. The last 3 had indoor climate controlled units. Apple/Access were just not clean. U-Haul was far better, but did not have the size required (10x30) when we need to rent. SmartStop was the best. Your bay doors are the best. The lights really aid to the safety and provide excellent information regarding when to enter or leave. The facilities at Lawson & those of SmartStop are superior because they were built for that specific need. Apple/Access have adapted warehouses to meet their needs; which in my opinion, just did not work as well as yours. U-Haul storage at Milton cross roads is amazing! I was there for over a year and never had any issues. Always clean and well taken care of, and plenty of bays to move in and out. Vanessa, the general manager, is incredible! She does her job thoroughly and professionally, always displaying a high level of empathy and compassion, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Vanessa and Zack went above and beyond our expectations for Uhaul service. They were both, patient, friendly and accommodating. We had to unload our uboxes into a storage unit and all of the staff we encountered along the way were very helpful as well. Our experience with Uhaul Milton was a welcome change to the poor customer service and experience we had to deal with from the se marine drive location in Vancouver. My experience at This particular location was disgraceful. I have booked a size 20 truck 2 weeks prior only to get there on the day and was offered a size 10 truck. Naturally I was angry but what got me really upset was the guy at the front desk. He could not even apologize, instead he told me to go call 1800 Uhaul and register my displeasure with them or not take the size 10 at all. I was shocked at his response, he was very rude. Another lady came out and appears to be the manager, she said she didn't like my tone and decided to cancel the size 10 truck too anyway. She said she Uhaul does not rent to my type anyway. I was left with no truck that day and my whole day was ruined. I am a black man, and I genuinely believe I had my first direct racial abuse that day. Otherwise, what does she mean by "Uhaul does not rent to my type anyway". It was disgraceful. If my size 20 truck wasn't available, I understand these things happens and I expect the customer service person to apologize, atleast show a bit of empathy. His words were "dude we only have a size 10, take it or contact uhaul" . I could go on, it was disgraceful.Sakiru B. | Expérience générale

I did an online rental(without going to the physical store) and the unit allotted was pretty much in the other corner of the entry point/elevator. I do notice that most units this size are empty as I walk to my unit. And the unit was not locked with a tag that could be broken as per the email. Rather it was locked. So I had to go all the way back to loading area, drive to the front office and then do it all over again. The unit and facility is pretty clean and the next visits were smooth.
