Absolute worst experience I've ever had moving. First, U-Haul needs to stop bouncing calls to other locations. I could not get anyone on the phone from this location for weeks. Even when my U box was not delivered and I could not track it down. The only saving grace there is the manager, Darnell. He was very great to work with and helped me locate my items and set me up so I could self-deliver. This low rating is not for the actual store, but the whole U-box operation, it's disorganization is unnecessary stress for an already stressful situation of moving cross country. I would never recommend using U-box again. Good idea on paper, absolutely horrible execution.Barbara K.

The two gentlemen in the store was very lazy and passive aggressive. Gave limited assistance with trying to help with alternatives. I was told I could not get a Van from that location and that I need to just drive around and keep trying different locations because I didn't have a reservation. They never told me I could get a reservation that same day. However I called and booked a reservation only to come back to the same location and the two gentlemen act as if they didn't want to help me. A young man with glass came and assisted me and got me the van. I will not do business with these people ever again. Terrible experience.Kevon B.

This was the most TERRIBLE move I've encountered in my life. The customer service at the local site waw very poor and the contracted movers really do not care about you or belongings. They only care about the money for the job and TIPS! Also, the customer call center can't be even more rude. It took me making so many calls just to get through to someone and then to be faced with rude service and people that had no clue about their job. Just terrible. I WILL NEVER UTILIZE UHAUL AGAIN FOR ANYTHING! Oh and the Marana AZ location should be shut down. It took 3 days to get all of my belongings bc they refused to have the boxes out and ready. It was a terrible mess and to think I spent thousands of dollars to be treated with such disrespect. All of this was a complete scam and I'm left with damaged furniture. Thanks Uhaul. When I dropped the truck and car hauler, the person inside asked if I was dropping off. When I said yes, they said just leave the key inside and the receipt will be emailed to you. When I checked my email, the receipt had been sent.Celeste C.
This place was not my original pickup spot. (The star is for the entire UHaul experience). We made a reservation with another location. When we arrived, there was no contact/instructions on getting the truck. The place closed. Got to call the company to finally get the key code to get the truck. When we got the key, learned that there was no dolly as we ordered in the reservation. We couldn't even checked out the truck via the app even though we got the key. so the operator send us to this locationâ€¦we asked to make sure there was a dolly available, the person said unfortunately they only have 1 available (we had ordered 2 online). Went to this location which was 30 minutes from my apartment, 30 mins from the original pick up location. When we arrived to check out, the staff told me that there was no dolly availableâ€¦even though we just confirmed that on the phone. He told me it was a â€œfirst comes first serve basisâ€, not based on whoever reserved. Told me the reservation was not guaranteed. which made no point at all. After a few back and front, he magically found a dolly in the back. Overall, due to their mistakes and errors, we lost 2 hours of moving time, and we had people waiting on us with our move that cannot stay and help. One of the worst experience I had.Nam N.

Staff was very disrespectful idk who these new guys are, Nick and the other guy above Nick at the Uhual on 2951 NE Expressway chamblee ga but the customer service was trash. I've had a small unit at that location for a couple years now & wanted to upgrade to a bigger one so I reserved it online a week or so prior for June 11 & went on June 11 afternoon to obtain it. Nick prematurely moved me out of my current unit before we solidified the bigger unit. The price for the larger unit I reserved was a higher price and I even showed them the screenshot. The guy above Nick refused to honor that price I reserved it for therefore I no longer wanted it. I told him I'll stay in my current unit since y'all aren't honoring the price & he said since I'd been moved out in the system he didn't have access to move me back in & I'd have to call customer service on Monday to get my unit back. I'd asked for something in writing or some type of confirmation so I'm not out here with no unit come Monday with ALL my stuff in it looking crazy. He refused and decided he wasn't dealing with me, dismissed me & was very nasty, saying his manager would have to do it & he's off so oh well. After the 2nd time of asking him to call his manager & not ignore me he finally called & the manager walked them through how to move me back in through the system. Something so simple to rectify but instead they decided to ignore me and treat me like nothing. But I will not be ignored; especially regarding something I'm paying for monthly. And this is nothing against the manager bc I believe I met him and his customer service was above average in our dealings. I have rented a 6x12 trailer from this location 3 times and the past 2 times the trailer was not available when reserved even though the online reservation said it would be available. The first time this happened, I showed up at 1pm to pick up the trailer and it was not back until 4pm. The second time, the trailer was never available even though I had it reserved.Cory W.

I returned the van with more gas than it was given to me and allowed the clerk to check it in. The clerk put in the system that I turned it in with the same amount of gas I was given it with. It was turned in with closer to 1/2 tank of gas, not 3/8.KENEDRA B.

I did not notice before I left with the van but it had been damaged where the side was dented and the close up mirror on the right side was broken. The sides weren't an issue but the mirror was a big problem changing lanes safely. In addition on of the tires had a screw and it was changed by roadside assistance. After that the low pressure alert was on the whole time. I had to purchase a tire gauge an stop to check the pressure on Saturday which cost me over an hour. Apparently changing the tire caused the alert to go off incorrectly but I didn't know until I called roadside assistance again. They told me to ignore it which I'm not sure how they could know. I'd like to be refunded for the gague $11. In my opinion this van should not have been rented in it's condition.George C.

Very poor customer service, wouldn't even look me in the eye the whole time. They gave me a cargo van that didn't even function correctly so it delayed my moving time by half an hour. Because they didn't maintain their equipment. The general manager of the location was talking about someone being autistic on the phone while dealing with me as a customer. Talking about a very sensitive matter that should not be talked about in a business setting. As well as I got charged more money for no reason. Now I'm having to wait for a refund from the company because my bank account got overdrawn. They charged me more money for the mileage that I didn't even use. The left mirror was cracked on the truck and I called immediately but there only response was let them know at the end? Let them know at the end? I needed a mirror to be able to see behind me! Never offered to fix it or help or anything, then when on the highway the truck tops at 50 miles an hour, going any faster it downshifts you right back to 50. It took twice as long to get where I was going. I did call, but we had to keep going we could not wait for service. Plus that would have taken another day of time, hotels and gas. The truck experience was awful. The employees were kind. I'm requesting a refund because I took three extra days off work because I was expecting to get to my destination three days sooner, but the truck would not go faster than 50! Which nothing said this when I paid for the truck. Also calling they said the truck goes faster than 50, well the one they gave me did not. Not being able to see behind me because it had no side working mirror was awful too, I'd never recommend a truck with no rear mirror. I'm requesting a refund. A small issue but I did buy a truck outlet at uhaul but it was never put in the bag when I left chamber store but my receipt I was charged for it. You need to refund me because the truck should have been in working order not how it was - it's not right to do to me.John W.

I specifically asked if the lights were working and the attendant told me they were. I drove home and packed and packed the trailer. My wife was following me in a separate vehicle and asked me if I knew the trailer lights didn't work. This was 10 miles into a 350 mile trip. When I returned the trailer we confirmed that my wiring harness worked and that it was the trailer's wiring that had a problem. Really disappointed that the attendant told me the lights worked when they didn't.Alan W.

There was a lot of mix-up with my rental from beginning to end. Not sure who's fault it was but I was being overcharged. It was corrected once I returned the vehicle but it should have been avoided. Arrived late for pickup. Was told my reservation was cancelled because it was over 1 hour late! No other trucks of the same size available. Nowhere on the SMS / email / website does it mention that if you don't show up within the hour your reservation is cancelled. I checked the fineprints on the email confirmation. The clerk ended up finding me a smaller truck (cargo van) available. That's all there was, so that's all I got. The first one was damaged: spare tire had been installed, dead tire inside the van and the tire cable dragging on the road. Complained on site (I had not left the parking lot). Got another cargo van. Dash glass was broken and the fuel gauge was broken, but the rest worked. I'm sure I ended up filling it up more than necessary at the end of the day because of the broken fuel gauge, but I was able to accomplish what I needed from the day of rental in the end.Pascal B.

Full context: Had to rent pickup for in-town using out-of-state drivers license. Documentation online versus at-location requirements for secondary assurances did not match. Attendant insisted on third form of assurance after providing phone number for myself, and for my wife (documentation only states two are needed). Pickup had several places on exterior where something had been spattered on it and not cleaned. Online app for inspecting vehicle does not work seamlessly with DuckDuckGo Browser, requiring user to know how to manually take photos and then upload to gallery. Arbitrary limits on number of photos to upload with no way to delete/choose another is poor UX. Staff outside of office were friendly and helpful. Truck functioned properly. Entrance/Exit for facility is truly not great. A hairpin driveway immediately next to a highway on ramp and access road split is hair raising enough in a smaller vehicle. I can only imagine the stress for a larger vehicle operator.Alan T.

Have staff that are honest and trustworthy. I left 2 items in the truck when I returned the truck. I called the store to let them know I was on my way back to retrieve the items. When I reached the store I was told the staff member who did the final check of the truck didn't see my items. I made it VERY CLEAR my items WAS in the truck and I want it now. I followed the staff member outside and he pulled my personal items out of his car trunk. Prior to this, the manager swore that if the staff member had seen anything in the truck he would have told the manager. Obviously THAT was a lie!!! I am a long time renter at this U-Haul location and have been treated fairly for the most part. I was surprised to find that U-Haul was unwilling to work with me in accommodating my storage needs when I attempted to rent an unavailable 10 x 10 storage unit (at this location)and wanted to merge two 5 x 10 units to accommodate a 10 x 10 unit. I was told that corporate is not allowing such arrangements and I had to rent two 5 x 10 units instead until such a time a 10 x 10 storage becomes available. I understood the business side of the argument that storage rentals are in high demand and the business is good right now and would prefer to rent two units independently as oppose to merging units together to make one unit. It would appear that the company best interest isn't from a customer service standpoint and was unfortunate.Oscar H.

The Manger of this facility needs customer service training. The turn over rate at this place is ridiculous and no one wants to spend their money where the service is horrible and the employees don't fully understand or can not fully communicate the standard rates and fees well enough to successfully secure a storage unit for a customer where it's not a big confusion when that employee is absent and some else is assisting the customer. The manager is also always onsite and assisting his team during any complications. I have a major problem with your policy of renting a storage unit. Your people asked me for 2 addresses and 3 phone numbers. I am a single man. I have 1 cell phone. I had to give a phone number of a friend and sister. There is no reason for you to involve ANYONE, for any communication purpose, involving my storage unit. You contact me and me only and don't ask for ANYTHING else. I don't want anyone involved in my life, issues, or storage unit. I have a mailing address and a physical address. You don't need both. Nobody gets both. Why do you need it? Had I known that you were going to ask for all this info, I would have taken my business elsewhere.
