It has been a painful wait to gee updates on my U-Box reservation. It has been horrible with 1Hr wait time on the phone to get no meaningful update. Since the start of my U-Box reservation, there has been constant confusions. You can check the notes under my reservation. I booked my U-Box on 19th at Boston location, but it was failed to be prepared by Ubox scheduling dept so I was left with no UBox plus rude customer service (completely unacceptable). Then I drove to another nearest location at Pvd Parkway Norwood, the manager was little helpful to schedule me for a U-box for next day. I had to change my whole plan to accommodate, I returned the U-box all loaded on 20th of June. Every since I was on call for atleast 2 Hrs daily to get hear that it will be shipping soon without any confirmed date. It has been a month since I moved to new house, I am literally staying in empty house for the whole month without any utilities. On top of it, when the manager in Norwood picked Hayward CA instead of Redwood City CA. I tried to inquire about it everyday on the call but no success since U haul pointed to scheduling department or multiple department at fault. I was finally told my U-Box will arrive to Hayward on 17th of July after which I can schedule it for Redwood City move. I was in the call for 2 hours to confirm it has arrived todasy July 17th, but when I called Hayward scheduling I was told it has not been arrived yet. I am nervous about what is happening. Can someone please coordinate, I was told I will get $50 off each day if Ubox fails to arrive on 17th. Moreover my first free month will be over by 21st, I DO NOT want to pay for extra month's rent for no fault of mine. Honestly I have been so patient for a month literally ordering food from outside, sleeping on the floor without mattress/fan/light. I need quick resolution on exact status. I need to know when my UBox will arrive to Hayward and when it will be shipped to Redwood city. I need to plan for pick up. I cannot convey my disappointment and hardship in words, I certainly except at least to waive the second month fees for me to plan for pickup plus additional discount for overall rental. I made an appointment for a hitch installation at 1pm, it was not started until 2pm. The installer was working by himself on 2 different jobs at the same time.My installation was not finished until 4:45pm!!! The job was quoted to take 1hr and 20 min this length is unexcepticle I can understand maybe 2.5 hrs but NOT 3hre 45 min Very Very poor service!!!!

When you call the Norwood location, you get the call center, day after day, with the excuse of they are really busy. We were told a week ago by an employee at the Norwood location (when we dropped off our rental truck) that we didn't need to reserve the storage unit in the size we wanted, as they were almost all empty. The call center this was totally false and almost came right out and called me a liar. i asked to speak to a rep at the Norwood location and placed 2 voice mail messages & 2 requests thru the call center 4 days ago. None have been returned.When we went to drop off the truck, after waiting 10+ mins for someone to come out, we went inside and finally found an employee playing a game on her phone. Just FYI...the folks at Cubesmart answer their phone, greet you at the door and are much less expensive.

Only small issue was the computer system was moving slowly when I was trying to pick up the van. The staff person was very nice and apologetic. Something about taking the photo of my dirvers license was the problem, as the system wouldn't register the photo. It was probably a 20 minute inconvenience, so not a big deal as I was not in a rush that day.

The U-Haul location in Norwood, MA experienced a blackout during a lightning/thunder storm, and U-Haul crew carried on operations through the use of their mobile phones! What an amazing team to keep operations going during a blackout. They deserve 5 stars!

Truck was dirty. Had old gloves and ropes in it. I pre paid for rapid check in and still had to sit with a clerk that had no idea what was going on for 30 minutes. The manager was helping another customer and yelled at the clerk helping me to figure it out himself when he asked for help. This is a horrible location. Renting a uhaul is torture. If I can never do it again I will be happy.

The location was up to par. But the customer service headquarters stated that the Norwood location had accepted an ID that was mine (it wasn’t) and had activated my reservation a day early (which they had, to a customer that was not me!) Customer service had me very concerned and advised me to call the police due to identity theft and fraud. I was HIGHLY frantic and pissed off! I then went to the Norwood store for them to explain that another customer with my last name came in and wanted a U-Haul although we lived in different locations, were different genders, and are in no way shape or form related at all they gave my reservation to him. & OH! Then they tried to blame my boyfriend for taking it without me knowing.. THIS MAN WAS AT WORK!!! NEVER again will I be utilizing U-Haul. Nor will I be recommending it.

Don't waste my time! My appointment was at 10. When I showed up, they told me that they'd changed my appointment to 11. They said they sent an email, but I never got anything. Then, I went out to get a cup of coffee to kill the hour. At 10:45, they called to say that my part was being delivered by FedEx that day and that the don't usually come until 1 or 2! I live a half hour away so I lost 2 hours to this and then had to come back the next day. When I came back, there was no decent place to wait. They finally found me a chair, but a desk and wifi would have been nice, so I could get some work done.

I needed a hitch quickly. I had to pick it up in Northboro last Friday (they were the only ones that had my hitch), and had an appt. to have it installed in West Roxbury on Saturday (June 29) at 11 a.m. When I got to Northboro Friday, they had the hitch, but no record of me paying for it. Thankfully, I had an email receipt that showed I did pay for it. But, instead of the Manager giving it to me right away, we had to call UHaul. We talked to one guy who put us on hold multiple times, and who eventually dumped us back into the call system and somebody brand new answered. We had to go thru the entire explanation again, be on hold again several times, only to have the same thing happen. The manager finally let me have it, after over an hour! It should have taken five minutes! Second, I showed up on time Saturday in West Roxbury only to find out the installer had quit the day before! Why did nobody CALL ME??? Thankfully, a lovely man named Adrien from the Norwood UHaul, who was there to help another man whose car was on the lift for the entire day before, said I could follow him to Norwood and he would install it for me. I had to wait for him to do the other man's first, which I understood going there. So what should have taken 1/2 hour (I only had the hitch installed and no wiring), took two Hours! That is two & half extra hours and MUCH aggravation to get the hitch. Although the hitch got installed, I thought customer service was horrific for the most part, except for Adrien who saved the day for me and the other gentlemen. So, twice hung up on because employees didn't want to deal with the receipt issue, never being called that the installer quit, is an unacceptable way to run a business. I would like to request the installation fee be refunded to me due to all of the aggravation I went through. Thank you. Patricia Tocci 508-380-3873

I've been to this location many times. Checking in takes absolutely forever. The keyboard used by the agent wasn't working properly and the credit card reader was broken too. Then once I stood there for way too long just checking in, I had to wait even longer to get the trailer. They had to take all kinds of pictures, which was just so annoying when all I was doing was renting a trailer for a couple of hours. I wasn't buying the thing. Also, it just seems that the people who work at that location are always moving in slow motion. Very frustrating.

I had an appointment at the West Roxbury location on 6/28/2019 at 8:00 AM. There was only one employee at this location and he was clearly extremely overwhelmed . He told me he would try and get the hitch installed if there weren’t too many customers. After checking in at 10:30 and 2:30, the hitch was still not installed. Upon arriving there this morning, there was a line out the door, my car was in the garage disassembled and I was told that employee had quit! I was beyond frustrated! I drove to the Norwood location and asked GM Cassandra if they could help. She was very accommodating, called their hitch installer Adrianne and he agreed to come in from home. Adrianne picked me up in Norwood, drive me to West Roxbury where he re-assembled my car so I could drive it to Norwood. Once there, he installed my hitch in under an hour. Adrianne and Cassandra were a pleasure to deal with and went over and above to help me out with my unusual issue. I would recommend anyone to do business with UHaul Norwood as long as Adrienne and Cassandra are working. They made a terrible experience at UHaul West Roxbury much better.

It would be nice if everything customers do on the computer would not have to be done once the customer arrives at the location. It definitely helps save time to register on the computer before hand.To be able to show up and the truck and or uhaul equipment was outside ready to go would be nice.But over all I had no problems with my rental.Norwood ma.

I scheduled an appointment for hittch installation for 2019 Nissan Murano on 06/19/29 at 8:30 am. Technician showed up at 9:10 am. No appologies. After installation I discovered at home that my foot activated lift gate stopped working. There is no way to get anybody to answer the phone at Norwood facility. Called customer service and they left a massage for Norwood shop in the morning on 06/24/19. Nobody called. To call customer service one have to spend 20 min to get somedody .

The door by the elevator has been broken for months. Photos of the truck I rented hide damaged tire due to shaded picture. Luckily you can still make out the black marks on the white rim caused by the same incident that cause the tire damage. This caused the Attleboro branch to Charge me $189+ for a single used tire, which crazy high.

Re: 22405793 -- I was overcharged by a full day. And when I inquired and requested an updated bill, I received a response that made no sense (either the individual struggles with communication or was under some influence?). When I followed up for clarification I never received a response and I now feel ignored. I use uHaul 3-4 times per year to move scenery for a high school drama department. This experience has left me planning to explore other companies for my moving needs.

The issues I had was the trailer wasn't explained to me as far as hook up and removal felt very rushed I know it was raining so maybe that's why they rushed threw but I still felt I was left with more questions than answers also the lights on the trailer I was given didn't fully work so when driving at night it was rather dangerous people could barely see the trailer till they where right up on it plus I asked how often brakes are checked they said before every rental yet when I drive it the brakes where Unsafe and should not have been rented as it would shake when applying them so overall for what I paid was very disappointed

Nothing it was all good. I just want to comment that Invision was the only Uhaul facility in Albany_ Schenectady that would tent the 5x9 trailer for one way even though it says it right on the trailer. The other facilities were not helpful. A+ for Invision

i have used this location multiple times and while sometimes there is a wait to move through the line, the individuals working with customers is usually very good. this location is a bit of a distance from my home, however, I have preferred using them since they are the most accommodating.

The Uhaul online booking service is archaic. If you make a change, you can never see it - even if it's made at the location. This is frustrating when trying to reconfirm your reservation. It's not user friendly for the customer or the U-haul personnel. The customer service people on the phone, at the regional office and at the store were excellent and very reassuring that all was in order. Moving is extremely stressful and one cannot afford to have any unforeseen complications due to someone else's error! Overall, it was a very positive experience for this first-timer and I would definitely do it again. We rented a 10' box truck to move items our moving company would not. Worked out great!

After making an appointment for 11:00 today to have the wiring fixed (the wiring for the hitch does not work and blows the fuse instantly) I rushed there with my 1 yr old son. When I walked inside to check in I was ignored by the woman for several minutes. Then finally she asked for my name. When I gave it to her she told me that she "screened out" my appointment. I asked her what that meant and she told me that the technician who works on the hitches called in sick today so she cancelled my appointment. I replied "So, you cancelled the appointment I just made but didn't call me?" She nonchalantly replied "Yup. But you are welcome to come back tomorrow." Seriously, who does that? I was disgusted, and I will never return to that U-haul location. This is horrible customer service.

The women at the front desk stated I needed to have it filled full when I returned but when I rented it, it was half full so I spent 44$ on gas to fill it and then got there and the guy told me I didn’t have to do that because when I received it , it WASNT full. It seemed unorganized.

I went there this past weekend to pick up the truck that I reserved online for a move. The employees were nice and helpful, system was having technical difficulties and running slow. The truck provided was clean, but it was not driving smoothly, as if it had alignment issues because the steering wheel wasn't steady. We managed to drive it as is, taking local routes instead of the highway just in case. We weren't going very far, but I reported the concerns to the rep when I returned the truck, and she let me know that the company is aware. She informed me that the van I had was old and that they would be eventually replacing the fleet with newer ones. I have concerns about this because the company is aware of possible safety concerns with the older trucks, but still rented it out. For my move we didn't drive a long distance, maybe about 30-40 miles total, but what about people traveling a longer distance? For safety sake, I hope the trucks get switched out with the new models very soon.

Reserved a week early with confirmation. Arrived waited at register for 45 minutes past my reservation time with no one in front of me in line, to find out there was a problem I needed to call customer service. Now charged 185 for movers waiting at my home for 1hr not moving my stuff. On hold with customer service for 25 minutes to find I owe 55 dollars that I have never been informed of this nice not by email or mail in the past. Due to Time constraints I pay the 55 with out finding out why. Charge for dolly that did not come with vehicle. Return the vehicle go in and out be sure I'm not charged fo dolly and I'm given a r ceipt for a completly different person with their info on the sheet including email and address. The amount and milage is no where near what I took it at or returned at I notify th clerk, I'm assured it's fine their mistake. I again repeat my morning events and say I need a o make sure this is fixed and again am reassured that they put the wrong name on the vehicle although the receipt I took when getting the vehicle has all my correct information. I've already been pending charged 200 and if I am charged any more due to incompetence I will have to contact further to include the person who's personal information I was given on their receipt with again, their address, email, full name and ending of thei creditcard. This is by far the worst experience with uhaul in my 10 plus times using the service I will not be returning as a renter in the future if this issue is not resolved correctly and will take matters further.

Uhaul gave me the worst experience. I dropped my vehicle off at the correct City they did not check it in then they somehow rented it and then they illegally charged me for someone else's rental and their management team did not do anything to help me fix this I had to do everything and call for hours. I could not even rent a truck because they thought it was still out and I returned it 24 hours prior and they already rented it out so I was not able to move the rest of my stuff nor do I have my money back yet that they illegally charge me.

I was overcharged for an extra day. I had returned the truck at 3:15, but it was very busy and they asked me to leave it with keys in it- I did so, and the staff marked it as returned at 4:30, causing an extra day of charges (I don't know why even 4:30 would have done that, as it was still well under 24 hours). Customer service was professional in working on this, but now I have to wait 3 days for adjudication, which should be unnecessary.

The mechanic and his assistant were absolutely terrific and my car (BMW 328 IX) was not the easiest installation in the world to perform. They did not skip a beat however and performed brilliantly. The gentleman who met us initially upon our arrival, Emmanuel, was warm, also very friendly and a jack-of-all-trades, as he helped the mechanic for a while and simultaneously ran the business area. When the management arrived, she was delightful. We met her last, but Cassandra proved herself to be very knowledgeable and helpful and appeared to set the tone the others exhibited. She displayed a calm front, yet is obviously very task-oriented as we were able to view during our time visiting the business.

They did the installation fine but time meant nothing to them. The 3 hour job took over 8 hours. Very dissatisfied by that. I received a call after 2.5 hours that said it was going to take a little longer. I called later and they said it was done, But when I got there, they said I did not speak with anyone at that location. "The call must have bounced to our national call center." Then WHY DID THE CALL CENTER TELL ME IT WAS DONE ???? Why is the customer not told they are speaking with the national call center instead of the expected location. VERY DISAPPOINTING !!!!

The manager advised that I could come get my uhaul rental prior to the time I reserved. In essence this is a good thing, but not when the other location tries to deduct $$ from your security deposit because it was 10 mins late. When in reality it wasn’t late at all. I dropped it off exactly at noon. I picked up my uhaul at 11:40 something and dropped off at noon. Because of this, the other location tried to take $45.00 away from me. I wasn’t too pleased with that. So my only advice for the Norwood location is to make sure telling someone they could get their truck hours before won’t affect them in the long run.
