I hired movers who picked up the trailer. So my mover was the driver and did the pick up. I did go and make sure it was ok - the workers were great but they should have told me to give them my email then. It worked but because stuff is online -a personal meet up is important to get it right when you are moving the devil is in the details.andrea S.

I had issues with the uhaul center in Natick Ma, but travelled to another uhaul in Norwood Ma because they had the only trailer in the area that I could find specifically for a motorcycle. I was very satisfied with the one and only employee working in Norwood Ma. His name was Thomas and he was very helpful and very knowledgeable. He seems to be running the store basically by himself and doing everything from hooking up trailers, checking in and out of customers etc. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the fact that all uhaul locations seem understaffed and would say its not fair to employees that are overwhelmed and probably overworked. This employee was great, enough that I would recommend this location to a friend because of him. I recommend hiring more staff!! My appointment was at 8am and we got the car at 9:30 cause there was a ruge line and only one person to help everybody. I asked if my time would count from the time I took the car and she said no, that I had lost an hour and a half of my appointment and she couldn't do anything and if I was late I would pay another daily. I paid for 6 hours and was only able to use it for 3 and a half hours. I haven't be able to do everything I need to. The worse experience. I also requested some items to help with the move and they didn't have anything available.Cesar C.

I understand it is a big moving weekend in Boston, but i don't think that Uhaul was prepared for this after all these years. When I got to the location to pick up my trailer, there were only 2 employees working - both of which were helping the same customer outside. I waited inside for an employee to help me for about 25 min. The employees were super strressed, and put everyone in scare mode when they said that over 400 reservations were canceled for the day. Luckily they found my reservation, helped hook up the trailer, and we were good to go. But I feared for the other customers and how their reservations would turn out. Be more prepared Uhaul and don't overbook during the busiest week in Boston!!Christopher A.

It was not this locations fault but I was made to drive over an hour to return the uhaul even though there were several closer locations. I had to put more gas in it just to make it that far in traffic and then pay for a ride back. It was absolutely ridiculous to make someone drive that far when there were other options.Veronica S.

I will be calling to complain. Absolutely ridiculous. I was supposed to pick my U-Haul up 5 miles from my apt in Waltham, turns out THEY DIDNT HAVE A TRUCK because they overbook, so I had to go 15 miles away, where there was one person working 5 people in line, and they were not moving quickly. Uhaul is absolutely garbage as a companyâ€¦ I reserved 3 months early to make sure to have a truck because I heard it was bad. Uhaul waited 3 months to tell us we can't get their uhaul for more than 6 hours (we booked 24 because we intended to keep stuff in the uhaul overnight). We are new to Boston but the moving day chaos is known and the uhaul limits are known within Boston. With only two weeks to go after being told we had to scramble and it is crazy we were not informed earlier. Also uhauls are not guaranteed reservations because the trucks can be out longer so you have to stress and plan for this.TREVOR B.

In May I scheduled a truck for rental for August 31st - September 1st. By chance I checked my rental reservation a few weeks before the 1st and noticed that my rental was changed to only be 9AM - 3PM. I called the store and no one could give me an answer as to why the time changed. I even spoke with the GM and she offered poor service/no support on the issue. It took a call to a Customer Support line to learn that Uhaul only does truck rental for six hour increments around moving day. Every single employee I spoke to prior for some reason weren't aware as to this being the case or neglected to say despite the fact that I placed the order well in advance. Employees need to be trained and aware of such a strict policy, especially a general manager. Don't let people place an order and make plans only to give them a fraction of what they need.Lane J.

You only had one employee working on a Saturday, early afternoon. When I got there there, there were already seven other customers waiting in line ahead of me. Luckily, I was able to find out that I could drop off using your online app. A lot of people there were not happy at all. I was assigned a vehicle that had damage to it (front left side near wheel well and cracked windshield). They were marked with an "x", but I was unaware that that signified U-Haul knew about it.Before taking the vehicle, I inspected the exterior, then apprised the manager of the damage described above, to which she responded no worries, it was known. Why no tell me while at the desk and/or walk the vehicle with me to point out damage that I would not be held liable for the known and marked damages? All that said, this is the first time ever that I've rented a damaged vehicle from U-Haul; the major crack in windshield surprised me.Newton T.

Nobody was at the service desk for 10 full minutes when I walked in. This person did Nit explain well the process for checking the vehicle for damage or mileage accuracy - just said â€œFollow the Tex (or email) you got.â€Joseph M.

I rent trucks/Van's quite frequently for work and have much interaction with the staff. All staff are good workers at the Norwood Prov Highway location, but Thomas especially is an outstanding employee. He is always upbeat, positive and truly hardworking. Don't lose himSTEPHEN C.
The staff is great. Corry and the woman whose name I can't remember are very helpful. Corey also helped me with AC instructions. And it's great that they give out their own cell phone, bc the corporate one doesn't pick up. I bet U-Haul can afford to hire to fix that. But your staff is great. Other than that, can I suggest corporate helps move the back dumpster way far away from the back pass through area, and put a tall flag on the too-low-to-see cement blocks on the right to make it easier to get by. But I'd like to thank the staff here for being exceptional. Lastly,, can you put in interior lights? And offer to rent out ramps to your customers? Thank you!!Janet F.

Would never NEVER NEVER recommend UHAUL nor use the service again. Made reservation a month in advance only to be told the day before that I would have to drive 109 miles ( 1 hour and 45 min ) away instead of my reserved pick up spot to pick up the truck! This not only affected myself, but many parties down the hill that I had arranged to help coordinate the use of the truck, make room for an oncoming delivery, etc. It only added stress and anxiety to what was already stressful (moving). The employee on site was very nice and had the vehicle ready, but am highly disappointed that Uhaul DOES NOT HONOR THEIR RESERVATIONS! #why make a reservation.David G.

Overall, pretty good location, but very understaffed when I was there. The guy helping me was the only one working, and although he was very knowledgeable and efficient with his time, he had to help 5 other customers which naturally slowed down the experience for almost everyone (adding 5-10 minutes of me standing around so he could come take a picture of the trailer properly attached to my truck before I drove away). I also get that this location only had one car transport trailer and that they preferred to keep it at their location, but UHAUL's phone customer service who arranged the booking said I was set to return it to a different location (Natick) before I made the trek down to Norwood to get the trailer...it wasn't fun driving all the way down to Norwood to have the employee beg me / make me promise that I couldn't return the trailer to a different location closer to my house (saying I'd make him lose his job if I didn't return it to the Norwood location). Either UHAUL's phone customer service wasn't on the same page as this Norwood location regarding the booking, or the employee at the location was playing games with me - neither of which leads to a great experience.Josh S.

The storage facility overall did not feel clean, the elevator was often not working, the card pass to get in was difficult to get to work (eventually the door was just left open and that was better). In terms of staff, I just felt sorry for them because there was mostly just one person there so how could they manage the rentals and help people in the store or help with issues getting into the storage facility? They were always nice, but assistance was so slow I sometimes just left and all I wanted to do was have help with my card to get in. Terrible experience at uhaul would not recommend to my worst enemy. Employee working the desk was talking on her personal cell phone the entire time I was trying to get my unit. The unit I reserved was no longer available so I'm not sure what the point of a reservation was. The one open unit was much smaller, dirty and would have to carry my furniture upstairs. The staff is no good nowhere to be found every time I go there I have to wait at least 20 mins just to talk with someone Not only that they charged me an extra 80 dollars for unit that was a suppose to be a month free! The manager (I wish I could remember his name, it started with a J) was super friendly and repeatedly went out of his way to help us. We visited the Norwood location on several occasions to rent 2 trucks and 2 storage units. The location was very busy and he still remembered us each time we came in and worked hard to help out the many customers coming in and out. There were admittedly some glitches along the way, such as our key card not working and the elevator being stuck, but they worked everything out for us quickly and professionally. If I could change anything, I would ask U-Haul to give these guys some more head count so they could get some extra help in these busy and unprecedented times. Place was always dirty. Customers bathroom i.e. inside where the actual storage units are located was never clean and trash all over. Parking lot always had trash. Card reading machines to access my storage unit never worked properly. I complained to management nothing was done.I went to a local competitor who had cheaper prices and cleaner premises.
