I was disappointed that most of the equipment I reserved online was not available when I came to pick up the truck but thankfully my building had two large flatbed dollies that we used so everything worked out. Roanita and the other staff were extremely kind and helpful which is always appreciated especially for something as stressful as moving day. My only critique would be if additional equipment is reserved online with the truck, those items should be put aside and put on the truck that was reserved for that customer.Julia B.

I was behind in picking up my U-Haul rental by an hour 30 minutes, and the staff still worked with me to pick up the first rental available outside of the already reserved vehicles. The staff went above and beyond. Each of them deserve a round of applause and pay increase because it's difficult to keep great people like this in place without paying them properly. Roannita was one of the three most helpful with making sure I had a rental. I didn't get the names of the other two, but I wouldn't be moved without their assistance.TARIQ S.

The oil was less than half full. That's not good for the truck and Instagram for the customer if he changes tobone way. There was no maintenance people to put in an extra couple quarts of oil, and nobody was willing to let me buy the oil and reimburse me. I also put in a little bit too much gas, and nobody credited me if I had been an eighth of a tank short I bet you would've credited me Overall I was very pleased with the experience and the after hours app. I was also pleased with the after hoursMARK R.

The truck i rented had no a/c and less than a 1/3 tank of gas. I had to get gas before i moved anything. Thank God it was not a 105 degree day and the move was not very far, but still it was very miserable loading and unloading without air conditioning to cool down in between. The truck was rather sticky inside and had damage on all four sides. I'm concerned because the website stopped working when I tried to document this. The staff simply said "that happens sometimes so just document it yourself." TERRIBLE experience. Canceled mid-move because they brought the wrong number of pods (one less than reserved) and the movers damaged our furniture. The dolly wheel was broken upon first getting into the vehicle. The previous renter also left the gas on empty. Luckily I found a gas station in time but it was nerve-racking having to find a gas station that was open at 645am.Braeden K.

The facility is understaffed and the garage is too small. Often trying to drop off or pickup a truck is extremely tedious even when not busy as you are blocked in by another Uhaul. Also, the website to check-in/verify that the gas tank and condition of the truck is up to par is faulty. Tried submitting the form 3 different times at the Uhaul facility and it wouldn't let me.FLORENCE A.

We made reservations through Uhaul.com to have the truck from 8 AM for 10 hours. We arrived at the location at 8 AM only to be told "you can have the truck for only 4 hours." We showed the reservation shows we can have it for 10 hours, but were told "no, this location doesn't do that. Have it back no later than noon." My husband was able to talk to someone to get a couple of extra hours on the truck, but it was not what we reserved nor what we paid for. I am very unhappy with our experience and will not rent here in the future.It makes no sense to have a confirmed reservation from Uhaul only to be told it doesn't matter, it means nothing.RAYMOND H.

1st off when you went to the front desk the worker or employee who was working there looked like she hated her job and and was not paying attention to me at all and then she charged me for a full day of rental on truck for 4 hours only along with the mileage and when I called them for extension they threatened me to charge me for 2 days rent for the truck a very horrible experience I'm never gonna use UHAUL againELEONORAMACOROL B.
Everyone had different answers for me when I called to inquire about setting up pick up and delivery options. I was told I could not book movers to deliver my pod until it had reached my destination. By then all the movers in the area were booked so I had to scramble to find help. I was told I would have someone call me the day before set delivery to confirm a time. I was never called. Any time I tried calling I was on hold for over 30 minutes. Your logistics and tracking are terrible, as is your customer service. I will not be recommending u-haul/u-box to anyone I know. I also keep getting several separate charges with no indication as to what they are for.MEGNA K.

I cannot remember the name of the woman who helped me (black woman with braids and red highlights, said she was the manager of the storage part of the experience, i think her name was four letters long), but she was awesome. super friendly, helpful, fast and was able to remember me when I came back later in the day to take care of an issue. she was also helping out all the junior staff around her like a boss. This was an excellent move, from the guy at the desk being so kind to noticevmy handicap and extending my rental ðŸ˜€ THANK YOU SIR. Drop off was a little interesting. The dark skinned young lady (I do understand that their was a lot of trucks to check in) she wasn't personable. The guy told me when I picked uo my truck to log in to return my dolly, she didn't offer any assistance and was a little rude. So she said "I TOLD YOU I GOT IT NOW CAN YOU LEAVE" wow ok! I do understand that it was 7:05 but really. When one person tells you to do something and the other tells you not to do it gets confusing. She needs to be trained again in customer service. When I came, they didn't have the proper amount of dollys ready for me in the truck. They corrected after I spoke to them, however when I came back with everything and turned it in, I was charged a 100 $missing fee for the dollys on top of my regular charge I was expecting. While personnel was helpful to get me the storage and quick to process, the Loading Docks "where not useful" because according the the personnel "we don't use those, those are parking for the transit office" which I found laughable. Everything was wonderful. But I had an emergency and the office was closed and they put their own lock on my storage unit. I was told I had access from 5am-10pm, and was given a security card to get into the storage facility during those times that the office wasn't open. When I came to the facility at 9:45pm one night and tried to get in, my card wouldn't work. I entered and it was very difficult to find out where I was supposed to go. Then I arrive to find that a door had been left open and the air conditioned or climate controlled area I paid extra for was extremely hot. I was especially disappointed because U-Haul raised the monthly rental price for pest control, however, it seems that the problem was not mitigated. I only chose 3 stars because the staff was pleasant but there was a lot of hidden information that I did not like. The biggest issue I had was the fact that I was chatged 50 $to cut MY lock off with materials I'm sure they keep on hand. While I support training a new employee, my recent experience was so unsatisfactory that I had to walk out without a satisfactory experience. For me to rent a storage facility I think ten minutes would do it. After 35 minutes and multiple errors I had to leave. It may be a while before I go back there.Rich B. | Premières impressions

Leading up to my move out, I called Uhaul several times to ensure that I would be out in time to not have to pay for the month of October. Each time, I could not reach the local office, and was sent to the national hotline. They would tell me they had no power to do anything, but they would send a note to the local manager, and he said he would call me back the next day. He never called back, and I was charged for the entire month despite moving out 1 day into that month's contract. I was out of town leading to the move out and could not personally go into the local office, so the fact that I could not reach it beforehand by phone is inexcusable, and resulted me paying an extra 200 $that I should neve have had too. I hope Uhaul actually takes this seriously and refunds me for that last month, because it is entirely the fault of the local and national staff that I had this charge and would never recommend their service to anyone.Samuel J. | Expérience générale
