Have people who are more friendly and have more compation towards people... Follow up on the customer request if they didn't get an answer on what container is being picked up.. Also listen and don't rush on the paperwork double check to see if the paper is write before the customer leaves the store..

Went through 3 trailers before we got one that worked. Then come to find out the screw Jack on the trailer we got didn't work well at all, binding up. Pick up location moved from original causing me to drive more. Mileage allowed was insufficient and was charged extra.

Give Tony and Miguel of Uhual San Pedro a raise. They handled a very frustrating situation caused by poor customer service at a different location with professionalism. Often times people come in angry and they blame the people trying to help, but I made sure to explain everything and let Tony give me my options on how to handle it. He remained calm and helped me as we were both very frustrated that a third party caused the problem. He worked with me willingly and quickly, allowing us both a speedy experience as it was the last 10 minutes of business hours. Miguel was a wonderful employee to work with getting the trailer parked and unhitched. It was closing time but they refused to lack in customer care in order to ensure we had the same thorough treatment as if we were the first customer of the day. San Pedro location has always been such a joy to work with so when I had to change my drop off location and the phone customer service against asked which one I would prefer, it wasn’t even a thought to ask for anyone else. Everyone at closing shift this evening at the San Pedro location were wonderful, professional, and beyond helpful. Thanks again guys!

I called the location after loading the truck at my home. We had taken a picture of the gas gauge and odometer and were unclear how to submit that - all we were told was to "send a picture". The guy that answered the phone (no name given) asked if I got a text with a link and I should send through that -however that link was only good for 30 minutes. If it was later than that, I would "just have to eat it". I do not know who that was, but you need to discuss with him a more appropriate way to communicate with costumers. When we returned the equipment, Doris resolved a billing issue which we appreciated. My initial 'we'll never go there again' was balanced out by her. I would give your location another chance, but I really believe some of your team are not customer focused.

When we returned the truck, my husband waited in the designated area for approx 10 minutes (sign stated to wait here and someone would meet him). No one was around so he got out and went inside the store where an employee was. It took a bit to get the employees attention and my husband explained that he was returning the truck and waited, but no one went outside. The employee stated “okay, I’ll help you, but I don’t need the attitude”. At no point in time was attitude given, my husband was simply stating why he was inside versus waiting in the truck. The employees name was Alex. On top of all that, shortly after we picked up the truck, we experienced a family emergency on the other side of town and it was going to be easier to just leave the truck in that area rather than driving it back. I called customer service who said I had to call a store manager (she was incredibly rude). I called the store near us and the lady was helpful, but said she would have her manager call. I was just trying to get the price to see how much it would be so I could work it out. Eventually the manager called and said I needed to call the other store manager, but how it would be “so much more money” since it’s a return at a different location. I understand that it was going to cost more. I was just trying to figure out how much and if I could drop it off. The whole event was super frustrating so we just left it at the original location and then dealt with the situation I first mentioned. All in all not the greatest customer service experience and truly an overall let down. We will not be utilizing them again when we move this weekend.

A clearer understanding of what is going to be required by using the online order and check in process. I didn’t know I would be required to give a third party to vouch for me until I arrived at the pickup. The person I chose was still asleep and did not answer their phone. I was able to change the person thanks to your awesome operator, Scott, but in future please let your users know a list of the things they might need at pickup.

This location is rude. You can never reach them and I was already having hard time moving and to top it off phone broke, so i get there at 6:59 I could only receive calls so i asked friend who called me to call them let them know i was at light but almost there and lady said well if she is here after 7 then I wont allow her to return and she owes for another whole day. I pulled into the place at 6:59 and all doors locked garages already closed. So they were not just locking up they had already been locked before they even closed. They refused to take truck back and due to phone being broke could'nt check it in. She all around made it difficult for me to get their rental back. She was unhelpful poor customer service skills and all out rude. I don't suggest anyone go to this location. When i rented the truck they didn't explain anything nor let me know i was supposed to take photos and agree to condition of truck as far as dents and things. I was confused about whole process of renting u haul. AGAIN DO NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS U ARE LOOKING FOR RUDE AND UNHELPFUL SERVICE.

1. Check in. 7-8 people waiting. Took too long and not enough help at the counter. Basically one person to take care of Saturday traffic in your store. need more help in this area. 2. Answer your phone. I had to extend the rentai on the trailer by one bay and called Sunday morning to do so. On hold for over 20 minutes and no answer. Multiple callbacks no answer. Had to stop at another location and he called the store. Immediate answer. I was mad at that point. 3. After hours check in. Horrible. tried to use the check in data on the bldg for after hours and couldnt find it on the web site. Very hard to find and use. I still dont know if it was received and closed on my contract. my contract number is 29915982

Upon the trailer hookup. General Manager Adam Pena was completely unprofessional and outrageously rude. His aggressive and hostile behavior was completely unwarranted and displayed extremely poor customer service. I was extremely disappointed with this manager and the distasteful experience. His aggressive behavior led him to skip the inspection of the trailer and tell me “get out of here”. I use U-Haul services regularly, however This poor customer service has forced me to make the decision to never use this location again.

Getting charged for two extra days when it was written on my contract to turn the vehicle in on the 7th of June. This was rectified over the phone but when I turned the vehicle in I still paid extra (process may need improved as systems don’t appear to communicate). Then after telling the agent at turn in that we were rerouted due to flooding in Arkansas and Louisiana during our travel it pushed us passsd our “mileage allotment” which we then paid extra for again. After contacting customer service thinking it would be handled...it wasn’t but the good news is our file was updated and someone is supposed to contact us which they haven’t.

When picking up the trailer I had a bad experience with two separate employees who were both rude and unhelpful. The first was the lady at the desk who was very short from the beginning making our experience deciding on the equipment difficult as she was very unhelpful in helping us navigate our options and ultimately we had to rely on the app. Then the gentleman that checked us out and showed us to the trailer was impatient and disrespectful while we were try to back up the truck to load the trailer and even yelled out myself. He stated that his “time was money” of which he apparently had none for the customer. Overall the experience was unnecessarily stressful and your employees made us regret our decision to go with uhaul we will not be recommending to others.

We brought the situation to the attention of the person who we were returning the trailer to yesterday. But obviously it was not corrected. We have been overcharged for a trailer that was supposedly returned and set a Tonio they got the license plate or try to text mixed up please help immediately

I got charged a $10 cleaning fee when the vehicle was cleaned. I moved 2 sets of couches and they were pretty new. So as far as these guys charging a clean fee I don’t know why this was charged.

The attendant getting me to my truck did not know how to finalize some things such as previous damage to the truck or finalizing the contract electronically. He had to go get someone else to help me get on the way.

The General Manager was verbally abusive towards me without instigation. He accused me of being confrontational when I asked questions ab UHaul products, and that I was interrupting his time to ‘count his cash.’ He commanded me to sit down and threatened to cancel my order, remove me from the property and call the police. I really hope the store videotape has the audio. He was so out of control it was like a comedy. I couldn’t believe a General Manager was behaving like this. Either he hates his job or he thinks he get away behaving like this or both. I’ve reported this to UHaul, ref #2223332. I will not be satisfied until a specific individual in corporate leadership is aware of this incident.

The one staff member that you had at the sales counter, Tony Gosa, was extremely chatty, but unable to talk and type at the same time. This caused a major delay in getting my rental. Other people in line were visible annoyed. I was 3rd in line and it took over an hour to get my vehicle. When I was getting the 17' van from the back, I asked about how to report damage. I was told that I must use the link that was texted to me. However, I never received the link so it didn't allow me to process any damage notation. There must be a manual process to this if U-Haul's system is down/delayed.

Your App could use some work. I checked in online but it was not clear about what to do next (all it said was "you just cut your check-in time in half) so we checked in inside the store. This caused some trouble for the very nice and personable salesperson inside the facility because their manager was upset that we didn't check in where we were supposed to. This was obviously not their fault and she took great care of us. I would recommend that the app send text message alerts to customers the night before or day of to inform you of exactly what to do. People that are moving are exhausted, frazzled, and could use extra reminders. Otherwise, salespeople inside are terrific - very helpful and patient and the guy who checked us out when we brought the truck back was fast and efficient.

When I returned the truck the guy that checked in the truck was rude and tried to charge me for 2 days and I feel like I was still over charged. I only drove maybe 15 miles, the gas was full, yet I was charged $49.00. I also rented a uhaul truck on Saturday, it was only 55.00 and the mileage charge was 1.19 a mile, with the second rental, which is this one, I was charged 49.00 when the mileage charge was supposed to be 69 cents per mile! He over charged me!

We were not asked about insurance at all. We were quoted $67, but charged $94. We found $25 was the insurance Charge which was never discussed or asked about.. I also called the San Pedro location prior to arriving and was placed on hold without returning for 13 MINUTES!!! Deceptive, Practices and bad service to be over charged by almost $30. We have been long time customers of uhaul from trailers to propane for over 20 plus years, I am highly disappointed in this past experience.

The only thing was the line situation. Me and another man walked up to the counter and were told where the line started, so we went into line and as we were talking another man came in and went to the counter and was helped right away and took 15-20 minutes. Then the manager was free but got a phone call and was on there for at least 10 minutes. There were only two people at the counter and one was the manager. That was the only issue I had.

Well, I was given a $50 credit because last time I turned in the trailer it was not checked in correctly. I used the code when making this reservation, however I was still charged $25.25. I'm gonna give this location one more shot, if it doesn't work, I'll have to start thinking about other options. Over all the majority of the workers are nice and friendly, however there could be more attention to detail. Think about it. How would you like to be charged twice, then go to the store and get blown off by the manager, and then on top of that being charged for something when they give you a $50 voucher?

The only negative is: the truck I had initially was very dirty inside, the check engine light was on, and it appears the tires needed balancing; the tires vibrated a lot when driving.

You need to have a way to lock the trailers. It is absolutely ridiculous that your trailers do not have that option. We were relocating across the country with our trailer and had to take a lot of extra precautions so our household goods would still be there in the morning when staying at hotels. I will not rent another trailer from you.

For first time uhaul renters maybe slow down and explain the pick up/drop off process a little better. Also going over any questions about operating the vehicle once the customer is taken to it would be helpful. I couldn't figure out what gas the truck took, or where the shift was and had to wait for customer service.

I rent from this location all the time. I returned the trailer on Sunday afternoon, between 3:00-3:15pm. However, the trailer was not checked in until Monday at 7:20am. I get it things happen. When I came into to talk to the manager about the issue he had his smart ass hat on and told me he would check the cameras and if I did return turn the trailer at the time I said he would reverse the fee. Here I am, taking time out of my day to address the issue. The least he could do is check the tape right there and then. The location was not busy. He gave me no time frame of when he would do this. He just sat there. I just don't get it. I'm here all the time. I never cause problems with the staff, but Mr. Adam Pena always has his smart ass hat on when I have to deal with him. If you don't like your job, you don't have to work there.

As with all businesses, at peak periods, the service is slow. I had to wait a while on my advance trip to have my vehicle inspected to assure it was capable of pulling a trailer. I checked in on line and the next day I picked up the trailer with no waiting and when I returned it later that day, I was met in the lot by a rep who checked me in promptly. I was a happy customer.

When I told them I couldn’t wait that late once the truck arrived there, instead of sending it to an earlier opening location they “tried” to set me up with the 24/7 login. The login online never worked, regardless what device or app or site I used. Which every person I talked to at either pick up or drop off city had never heard of. A manager of a different location had to personally come to get me the key after 2 hours of waiting and calling. When it came time to drop off at drop off location I let them know I couldn’t drop off the truck personally during business hours, but that I could at night and have someone else drop off the key. Instead of accompanying my situation calmly and accurately, the guy just told me repeatedly if I did that if something happened to the truck it was on me. I already bought the insurance at pick up, there was no need to act demeaning to me just because I have to commute for work and can’t personally deliver everything on their timeline.
