Fill the gas tanks up before renting. My vehicle was between 1/4 & 3/8 full. I didn't want to get dinged for an incorrect amount so, I filled it up after I rented it. (28,08 gallons for 80,00 $). Then, I put in 0,99 gallons for 2,75 $ when I returned it full. I was total I would not get credit for the gas I put in. This wasn't the first time to rent from this location but, will be the last. They had a van (which I wanted bur was told they were already spoken for. I would appreciate an 80,00 $ credit. With the gas I put in.

I normally use the on-line check-in which means my p/u's are at a variety of locations (to include Uhaul Storage). This place is EXCELLENT at cleaning and preparing the vehicles in between renters. As you move to more on-line reservations, do not lose sight of the value your franchisors can offer.

They told me the 17ft was the only available and there where multiple other smaller (what ineeded) just parked. But anyway they told me 150 $ and then at the end i return the truck with probably 4 or 5 $ to half tank, they ended up charging 190$ just for that difference of 4 or 5 $ . I ended up paying double of what i was told days ago via phone incredible disappointing .

I paid to have the trailer vehicle tower hooked up to the moving truck and even though two workers came out to help only one helped hook it up while still having us back the truck up and assist.

When I first arrived in the lobby I waited almost 10 minutes while two employees ignored me while chit-chatting in the office area near the cashier station. No one was at the cashier station. I asked if someone could help and they replied that someone would help soon. One of the two people that were in the office was the manager. Bad management and customer service. Check oil light was on the entire time of the rental. Headlights were extremely dim and dangerous to drive with at night.

I spoke with and had interaction with several of the staff at this location. Julie was the first and was excellent in her followup and answering questions. She was friendly, helpful and timely. April, the same, very friendly and quick to answer questions and make any minor adjustments. It was a pleasure to speak with both of them. Tony was outstanding. Extremely customer service minded and fun to speak with. We enjoyed working with him. He was able to answer all the questions in a super user-friendly manner. Ask for Tony if you check-in to pickup your equipment. The nice guy on the lot who helped hook up the tow trailer was also so very nice and accommodating. There may have been one or two others and each person was above average in handling their jobs. EXCEPT one person who was just the opposite of all the rest. The experience with him was so miserable that had I only had contact with him, I would NEVER return to this location. His name is Matt. He could not have been more unfriendly. His attitude SUCKED - absolutely the worst customer service experience ever at UHAUL. Unlike Tony, Matt was terrible at explaining the terms and punitive to me when I asked questions. I was not happy about the idea of him taking a photo of my driver's license - a policy I strongly disagree with, by the way - completely unnecessary. When I questioned it, he threatened to cancel my reservation - he was so rude, I wanted to cancel myself and just leave. He was argumentative and arrogant. If you go to this location DAP to avoid having to deal with this person. He will ruin your day and he will enjoy doing it. What UHAUL can do to improve for the next customer is to get Matt some training on how to deal with the public or put him in another position where he won't be offending your customers. That is why I could not give your location great marks, it would be misleading - all because of this one rotten apple. Otherwise, I would have given an Excellent score. I hope the Manager, who I did not meet, Mr. De La Cruz, I believe, will consider what a liability Matt is at his location.

AC wasn't properly working and the employees weren't aware. Detail about a gas credit was given at time of pickup, but the service attendant argued with me about the terms of the credit even though they were detailed on my receipt. After a bit of an argument, he sent me inside. Tony was great.

Easier than renting a rental car from Enterprise, Alamo, Budget, etc... The 10 $insurance is generous and inexpensive!

Uhaul allowed me to book and confirm a drop off that it couldn't make, so we loaded at UHaul. Matt at the San Pedro Store was rude multiple times and the hold time to call was often avg 30 minutes. We were so uneasy about Uhaul that we opted to unload our Ubox and go with another company.

Reserved a pick up truck and entered all info including payment online. Was told I could convert to truck share and skip the line. I elected no to do truck share and encountered an employee that told me my payment method was not valid for truck rental but she could move me to a bigger truck. Bigger truck was more per day, more per mile, insurance was more and truck I got ran bad and got horrible gas mileage. .

I waited almost an hour for my rental trailer. I had to track down workers THREE times to ask them to come move the trailer to a place I could access it from because it wasn't even ready! Each time they said someone would be with me no one showed and I had to go back inside to find someone else and ask for help again. It was ridiculous. Then the worker that finally did help said the trailer was a repaired trailer in a section of other repaired trailers that they don't even rent out! It was ridiculous. Worst experience I have ever had with UHAUL.

Nothing. To let you know: the truck that I rented and turned in in Midland, Tx was clean, handled very well. There is one item though, when hitting a bad spot in the hole there is a metal to metal bang sound. Coming from the right rear, just behind the cab and forward end of the cargo box.

The gentlemen at the front desk was extremely rude and arrogant. I found it very disrespectful the way that he was talking to his employees and staff. His sarcastic tone of voice and snark remarks and lash outs only made me feel uncomfortable. I didn't appreciate the way that he was speaking to his fellow colleagues. As he checked me out I felt very uncomfortable but he also made me feel like I was an inconvenience to his day. Horrible customer service on his part and beyond rude to everyone around him.

Got some quite rude phone calls about replacing locks. In addition, on the last day, got a similarly brusque call to immediately go fix the lock, because the door was only partially locked. Arrived to find no lock on latch (had just put new lock there one week before) and no lock on floor of unit that had been left there on purpose.

When I was renting the truck with your 24/7 share, or whatever it's called using my phone. I was instructed to check the mileage, go through a checklist on the condition of the truck, and verify everything worked. However, I was not given access to check the mileage, was not given any checklist, and wasn't even given a location of the vehicle to attempt any inspection.. I was not told where the truck was or given the key until I already was instructed to click “okay” on each screen that was telling me to verify these things. When asked, one employee told me that he knew nothing about the online rental option. Another employee told me I have to just click “okay” on each screen until it told me to go get the key. So I did. I got the key.. and then visually inspected the truck for any obvious signs of damage but still had no checklist and no way of knowing what the last logged odometer reading was. So I took a pic of the odometer before I left the lot, as well as the gas level. Now I am being charged all these crazy fees amounting to 299 $when I put about 15 - 20 miles on it and put 15 $in the gas tank bringing it back up a little closer to the full than when I picked it up. I rented an 8 ft pickup truck at the price of 19,99 $ plus like 0,79 a mile. I extended my rental an extra day because I didn't even need it until then I just rented it a day early as an only option to guarantee I got it. That extension was 35,59 $.. which I agreed to. My bill should have been about 70,00 $ but Was charged 299,00 $. They claim I put like 200 miles in the truck, they had to add 3 gallons of gas, and then another fee that was just called “rental fees” which brought that 70 $up to 300 $. Crooked place. Nobody knew anything. They couldn't even find the truck for 30 min when I first arrived to pick it up. Complete BS. 0 stars.. beware

There were a lot of issues regarding the storage for move. The upside is that the manager went far above and beyond to reach a reasonable solution. he called and called again any and every resource but ultimately he made something happen for us. During this time, he had put his lunch off, and was bouncing between assisting many other big issues with customers. It was only him and another worker. His name was Matt Kalinec, he deserves a rise and praise. Will be sending him lunch for the lunch he put off to deal with our issue.

I've been using their storage for 2+mths now. And every time I come in, everyone is always so helpful and welcoming and in a content/relaxed/nice mood. If they can't help, they'll quickly direct you to who can. They actually messed up my storage unit reservation when I was down-sizing, and they completely took responsibility. They notified me quickly, fixed it, and made me feel like they really cared about me as a person. I greatly appreciate all the gentlemen I've came across there!

I came in from out of town and arrived at the Uhaul at 6:45pm, 15 mins before closing. I had called ahead of time and already had a reservation for a storage unit. The employee I believe his name is Matt at 5810 San Pedro, San Antonio, Texas 78212 was fast, helpful, and very thorough. He gave me my paperwork, access gate card and explained everything to me in 15 minutes. I asked him if business was busy,and he said yes, but he was calm and friendly. I appreciate this kind of customer service. Thank you Matt! Uhail, please give him an accommodation for excellent service, especially for being at the end of the day. My visit was on 4/29/21, check his name to make sure I'm correct. Thank you again!
