No one was nice enough to direct me to the Vehicle . I had to locate the vehicle on my own not to mention that there was a lot of U-Haul‘s there that day as if I knew my way around the area I wasn't familiar with the location and to where the fence was finally when I located the U-Haul the engine light was on so I had to go back inside. my vehicle was due back at three but I dropped it off the very same day when I was told the lady said that they closed at eight when I arrived I looked at the door and it said seven so I left the U-Haul there but was not aware that I could leave the key at a drop off box to the very next day so I was late on returning the vehicle due to the fact that I didn't know there was an overnight box if I would've known I would've left the key there. Other than that there was a really nice gentleman that was there to help me when I dropped off the key properly and told me that for further or next time that I rent a U-Haul where are the drop boxes I was like that would've been useful yesterday but it was nice to know for a heads up in case I decide to rent from U-Haul again

The man installing the hitch was top-notch, but the two ladies at the front seemed pretty clueless as to what was going on. The first one told me that I was going to have to reschedule because she didn't think the hitch had come in yet; made me stand at the counter for about 10 minutes twiddling my thumbs. Then the guy who installed the hitch came by and told her that the part had come in, she should go look for it. She did so, and didn't come back for 10 minutes, again leaving me in the dark. Eventually I just sat down and waited, assuming they had found it and were installing it, which happened to be the case. I'm not mad or offended or whatever, it just seemed like the lady didn't know what she was doing.

This is very far from where I live. It would nice if my local U Haul on Nacodoches Rd. In San Antonio carried more rental items for its customers. The customer service on the telephone said they were booking it at my close location. It NEVER WAS THERE! PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER. THANK YOU.

The 20' truck that I rented was a little slow. It struggled to go between 35 - 40 miles an hour. It sounded like it had ashtma or bronchitis.

The trailer I rented had a lock on it so I had to take it back. The guys there didn't know it was there and removed it. They were really great about it, worked on it quickly and forgave me for having to return it a little late.

Moving blankets were not provided at time of rental and a second trip to this busy Uhaul was necessary to retrieve them. I received a really old trailer (6x12) with a much shorter roof. Consequently, some of my items had to be left behind. This trailer should be retired or discounted.

The owner was efficient. I got what I wanted when I wanted. The gentleman who hitched the trailer was also productive. My hitch did not extend far enough, and he quickly provided(sold) me the proper hitch. Overall I was very satisfied.

I will never go back to this location. I probably spent 2 hours waiting to be helped, not because it was busy but because there was no sense of urgency. Returning the truck shouldn't take an hour but it did because I couldn't find anyone in the store or in the garage to help me and once I did I was told I was doing everything wrong. Very rude.

The service agent would not send a link to my email for verification. Said, “It has to be a text”. The number I gave is for a business landline, no text. Then they say I need to give them yet ANOTHER phone number, for what? You already have one phone number and one email!?? So I gave a second business landline, no text. The agent still doesn't know how to send a verification link thru email like every other normal business on the planet. EMAIL IS FOR BUSINESS NOT TEXT!

Customer service was subpar. Sales associate told me to back up to the trailer and someone would help me. Only seeing one trailer there I cracked up to it and an associate came and hooked up the trailer. I left and was using a trailer and got a call from haul that I took the wrong trailer and was going to be charged $10 more cause it was larger. I don't believe this was my mistake entirely. Seconded I came back to return the trailer and it took over an hour to have someone help me.

Our reservation was at 9am. I had not received a call the day before to confirm. 5 min before 9am while we were on our way to the location I received a text that there was a change in our reservation. When we arrived they told us they did not have the truck and we had to go to the Naco Perrin location. We were on a schedule and did not have the time nor want to spend the extra money to go and extra 11 miles multiple ways (33 total). We asked them to find another solution. We ended up renting a 10' moving van and spending extra money anyways due to the higher insurance and mileage rate. We rented a van about 6 weeks ago in Missouri while moving my father in law to San Antonio and had a great experience. The crew that checked in the trucks both times at this location were very friendly and it was an easy process. My issue this time is the lack of communication and the attitude I received on the other side of the counter. The person that helped us had nothing but attitude to give. I asked about the $50 guarantee after all the issues and she said we had to accept the Naco Perrin truck to get it. I told her that wasn't an option due to time and she threw her arms up in the air basically telling us oh well. I asked about the late notice on the change and her response was she has nothing to do with that. She can't own some things and not others.

A year ago I would NEVER have recommended this place. The previous workers were lazy and rude. I used to go there to fill my propane and more often than not they would turn me away. " can't now going on lunch" , "can't I'm busy" etc. I used them yesterday out of desperation and happily that crew appears to be ALL GONE! I had an excellent experience and I am happy to say the new employees are nice and working hard. The OWNER was on site working. Maybe the cause or maybe bad apples are gone. Regardless - it was a good experience.

I should've just called but I got charged $75 for a 8' truck and drove less than 15 miles. Was asked how many miles I planned on driving so I said less than 50 not even thinking about it. So I guess I got charged for the flat flee plus 50 miles?? I'm not sure but I'm kinda pissed about that. I assumed they would check the mileage and charge me for the miles that where added onto that. I guess next time I'll tell them I plan on driving less than a mile…

I received different information of what was available, when I called to reserve a truck, from what was physically available when I was at the store. It seemed as if the phone person was not sure of the inventory. It worked out ok, but I considered to keep checking around instead of accepting the truck option I received by phone. U-haul could have missed a sale.

Check your reservations ahead of time to make sure you have the materials requested please. I requested an appliance dolly and find out when I arrived that only the regular dolly is available. Well, I wouldn't have requested an appliance dolly if I didn't need it, but I took what I could get. Made the job more difficult.

Only concern I have is that I was not able to refuel the truck with gas. I only drove the truck 17 miles yet I got changed for 2 gallons of gas. How many miles per gallon do these trucks get. I know it's more than 8,5 miles per gallon. What a rip off.

Honestly it was a very short rental. The service was quick and painless only took the truck for about 15 miles returned in about 2 hours. In and out… done. Very efficient check out and check in.

My reservation was cancelled without so much as an email or text message AND I rented using the U-Haul app. The U-Haul rep didn't apologize or even offer me another truck. I had to ask him if there was anything else available. When I got into the truck there was chocolate (I think) on the steering wheel and grease on the seatbelt. In general, staff is always extremely slow and seems disinterested in doing anything beyond their basic job description. They make you feel as though you are a burden. I continue to rent at that location because of the proximity to my home. However, I always know that the rental process will be unpleasant. The return process is generally painless. In fact, a very kind employee in the return lane almost made up for the poor experience the day before.

My ubox did not arrive on time it was supposed to be here on the 17th but it did not arrive until the 20th but I could not get it until that following Monday the 23rd and when I called when can I get my box several people were saying that I supposed to get a $50 refund every day That my box wasn't here someone I went up there Monday to receive my box and I require about the $50 refund the manager Miguel act like he didn't know what I was talking about so I am very upset with U-Haul

For the love of God, pay your workers more so that they actually care about their job. Holy Toledo. Please. My reservations (first one made a week in advance, on August 13th, for pickup on August 21st at 7am) were canceled *twice.* The first time, it was canceled without informing me at all (I found out by sheer luck because we went to the location the day before to buy a mattress cover and bubble wrap), and then after we rescheduled a new one, THAT one was cancelled later that afternoon! Both gave no warning (although I did get an email about the second cancellation) and no reason; the poor phone customer service guy could not provide any answers, nor did he offer a discount for the stress/inconvenience of requiring me to reschedule twice. Our third reservationâ€"made by him via phoneâ€"finally stuck, but also randomly got switched to two hours late (from 7am to 9am), throwing off our entire moving day's schedule (we woke up at 5am for nothing). And when we arrived, they gave us a mud-stained and broken truck (missing a mirror); we had to ask for a different one. Staff were neutral/unfriendly at best, clearly overworked, understaffed, and not happy to be there. Raise their wages by $3/hr, for Christ's sake. Moving is stressful enough without this hassle and the crushing weight of capitalism squeezing penniesâ€"and thereby every ounce of meaning and pride in one's workâ€"out of its direct service workers. Pay. Them. More.

My order for 24 ready-to-go boxes was not filled. Only 9 were available, and the assistant manager did not seem to care. Jwan(?) provided great customer service though, and helped me to find a store with more boxes. The boxes had a lot of dust and dirt in them.

The only issue I had was that I came home from Iraq and tried accessing my unit. The key would not fit into the lock. I tired asking several of your employees what was going on and nobody knew anything. I was told I needed a supervisor to cut the lock. A few days later the supervisor was available. Just so happened to be the same day I hired a locksmith. Supervisor cuts the lock. Turns out my wife entered the unit while I was gone, she locked it in the open position. Someone at U-Haul out a new lock on and didn't tell anyone about it or made a note in the system. So here I am, wasted 4 days trying to get into my unit and $50 out of pocket (locksmith fee). Other than that, you need more staff. There shouldn't be a 30-45 min wait to get a vehicle because you have 1 person working the counter.

Got some quite rude phone calls about replacing locks. In addition, on the last day, got a similarly brusque call to immediately go fix the lock, because the door was only partially locked. Arrived to find no lock on latch (had just put new lock there one week before) and no lock on floor of unit that had been left there on purpose.

The only comment I is when I signed up for autopay it failed to work twice causing me late fees. Only issue I had. Besides that storage was adequate.

There were a lot of issues regarding the storage for move. The upside is that the manager went far above and beyond to reach a reasonable solution. he called and called again any and every resource but ultimately he made something happen for us. During this time, he had put his lunch off, and was bouncing between assisting many other big issues with customers. It was only him and another worker. His name was Matt Kalinec, he deserves a rise and praise. Will be sending him lunch for the lunch he put off to deal with our issue.

I've been using their storage for 2+mths now. And every time I come in, everyone is always so helpful and welcoming and in a content/relaxed/nice mood. If they can't help, they'll quickly direct you to who can. They actually messed up my storage unit reservation when I was down-sizing, and they completely took responsibility. They notified me quickly, fixed it, and made me feel like they really cared about me as a person. I greatly appreciate all the gentlemen I've came across there!

I had to return a trailer half way through my trip and upgrade to a moving truck and a car transport because my little Ford ranger was struggling to pull the trailer. Technically, because this wasn't where I was supposed to return it, it was a "wrong location" and I couldn't return it. But couldn't figure out where I could return it. I called 1800gouhaul and got transfered 6+ times. Each employee claimed that they didn't have access to the info I needed. They couldn't make changes and didn't know why the previous person sent me to them. I think each employee should be granted access to everyone's order, be able to see all their info, and make changes. Everything is online these days. I should be able to contact an employee in a random state and they should be able to tell me where I can drop stuff off and make changes to my order. Each time I called to figure out drop off locations there was a 10+ minute wait. Calling 1800gouhaul again, I wanted to change my drop-off location because it wasn't the same as the storage location. The telephone line said that I could change it online. I would have preferred to do it over the phone. But after another 10-15+ min wait, I gave up. When I went online, neither my wife or I could figure out how to do it online. We asked the guys at the storage location if we could just drop it off there? They replied, oh, no. If you do that, we'll have to charge you double. Fruatrated, we just took it to the other location and dropped it off. Storage locations are free for the first month. Unless you don't have a round padlock. Then you charge me 10$?! I already had my own regular padlock with me, ready to go but you said, oh no, they can't be that type of lock. It has to be a round one. When I went to lock it up, my lock fit just as well as yours did. That was a totally unnecessary move on your part. The self storage container had two tears in the roof covered in white duck tape. What if it rains hard? Duck tape won't keep the water out.

Facilities are clean and well maintained. The interaction with personal was professional. The only negative part of my experience is waiting in line for a long time to be served. This seems consistent with most of the U-haul stores I've been to.

I came in from out of town and arrived at the Uhaul at 6:45pm, 15 mins before closing. I had called ahead of time and already had a reservation for a storage unit. The employee I believe his name is Matt at 5810 San Pedro, San Antonio, Texas 78212 was fast, helpful, and very thorough. He gave me my paperwork, access gate card and explained everything to me in 15 minutes. I asked him if business was busy,and he said yes, but he was calm and friendly. I appreciate this kind of customer service. Thank you Matt! Uhail, please give him an accommodation for excellent service, especially for being at the end of the day. My visit was on 4/29/21, check his name to make sure I'm correct. Thank you again!

Excellent employees! It was cold and many people were there to get propane. Customers were not very considerate to the employees who were working hard and fast,yet these employees kept thier composure with a smile. Thank you Uhaul!

I was told I was enrolled in automatic payments and that I would be billed on a certain day, when I was not. Two days afterward I received a late charge and was informed I was delinquent. Wait times at the store were also frustrating. Each of the three times I went in and spoke to staff, I had to wait 15+ minutes due to there only being one person.

u haul is your best bet for moving and storage, very secure and they do great job of maintaining every thing. i will always use them for my storage and moving needs. they also have quality boxes and stuff to get the job you need done right. they get thumbs up from me!

Classic scenario where the right hand didn't know the left hand had already done. Got there and Gloria asked for my information, tried to charge me another fee for the storage that I had already paid for over the phone. The gentleman I spoke to must have been new as he answered the phone telling me to hold on he was dealing with another, possibly irate, customer. I appreciate the 30days free. Maybe you all should give me another 30days for the inconvenience of having to provide info that was, or should have already been, in their database about my reservation.
