I reserved a truck Friday morning. Then I find out Friday evening I have an email changing my pick up location and my pick up time. This really didn’t work well for me at all. I was able to rent a small van. This lengthened my moving time and my mileage was doubled due to multiple trips which increased rental price.

We rented the truck to help clear the apartment of a friend who passed away from cancer. His family had come to town and needed help. The truck was clean and well-maintained. It functioned well and there were no problems. The truck being air-conditioned and equipped with a quality stereo FM radio were unexpected surprises.

This location was difficult to get to from the south. It requires turning across a major highway. Doing that in a large truck is not an enjoyable experience. Other than that the staff was courteous. I would recommend a different location due to traffic.

Check in the uhaul for them. After unhooking my trailer I was told that I could leave. I returned it 1 day early. Then the next day they called me wanting to know where it was. I was charged $31 for a late fee after they decided to check it in. After unhooking it they asked me if I was out of state. I said yes and they said that I was all good to go. I'm really irritated because it's unprofessional. I returned it early and got charged a $31 late fee because they didn't check it in.

truck broke down 30 minutes after the move started and lost 7 hours waiting while repairs were made, then had to pay an extra $200 for labor to get the truck unloaded fast on the before planned date. Just an overall headache and financial loss!

I was notified 16hrs before pick-up that my original location changed from 8100S. Holly to this location...it cost $15 extra because of added mileage. Why was it changed...I should have been given this location from the beginning. It cost extra time and money, but no one at U-haul would compensate. Will look at alternatives next time!

I'm appalled at your pricing practices. I rented a truck for the daily rate of $19.95 and returned the vehicle after 23 hours. I was charged for 2 days because I was wrong when I estimated the time that I needed the truck when I booked the reservation. I originally thought I only needed 4 hours, but I ended up needing the full allotted time. (My movers ended up having to cancel because of the weather and rescheduled the next day.) You should not allow someone to select a shorter period of time online if you are going to punish them for guessing wrong.

Our experience was absolutely horrible. I paid for an appliance dolly and did not get it then had to sit on the phone for hours trying to find one near me. No one helped so me, a 115 lb female had to move all of my large furniture out of an apartment and into a new one. Then to even get my money back, I had to sit on the phone for another hour. I also requested a location near me to pick up then a separate location to drop off, but they change both locations to an hour away from me. Never again will I rent from uhaul.

I needed the truck for an extra night and whoever answered my call in the morning definitely could've handled it better. I was wrong for not calling the night before to notify the staff, but kindness can go a long way. If it wasn't for the nice young lady that helped me 5 minutes before closing this definitely would've been a below average review!

I had to go to this location because the location closest to me didn't have the trailer I needed available. It would've been so much more convenient if I could've at least dropped the trailer off at the location closest to me instead of driving an additional 50 miles (round trip) just to return it. I will need to rent that type of trailer again but if it's not available at the location closest to me then I'll have to find someone else to rent from.

Booked 5x10 trailer and utility dolly. Advised the night before pickup that the reservation was as being switched to a 5x8 as that was all that was available. Was running 20 minutes late for pickup, so called ahead and was on hold for 15 minutes. Once paperwork was signed and trailer was hooked up, U-Haul rep brought out a basic hand truck, saying it was what was available instead of a utility dolly.

Very bad experience. This store connected me up to a trailer with no running lights and sent me on my way. I noticed the problem with no running lights before leaving their lot and asked for a replacement. They then hooked me up to a flat bed trailer with a back loading gate that was not 6 feet wide as requested. I drove 15 hours round trip and 1 overnight in Garden City, KS before we discovered their error and could not load the farm wagon. Had to drive all the way back to Denver to return the wrong trailer. Horrible experience and very costly to me for gas, motel, food, and time - over $350. When I called the store from Garden City, KS to report problem, they said to return the trailer and their would not charge me anything because of their error. Would not recommend this store to anyone.

The employee was too flustered to give me the help I was wanting. I wanted to buy a few items in the shop to help me with my move, but the employee was wanting to rush me to the rental to help with the next customer. I wanted to spend more money with the service, but because this employee brushed me off, I decided to get the materials elsewhere. When I returned the vehicle. I waited outside for 5 minutes, then the same employee came out the door and told me to hang on a little longer. 5-8 more minutes. My ride called me and asked me where I was, my ride then entered the FRONT DOOR and confronted the same employee, and the employee asked what he could do for him. This employee had completely forgotten he had just told me to hang out in the back for a few minutes. He had no intentions of returning in a timely manor. They BOTH walk out the back door, and he inspects the vehicle, writes on a tablet, and I leave. If it was that simple, why did I need to wait around longer? If he doesn't like his job, why is he still working there?

Denver uhaul computer network systems were down. I was on a tight time line and lost 4 1/2 hrs trying to get a truck from 3 different stores!! Everything was setup weeks before, checked, and was ready to go. I flew in to move my daughter and grand children back to east, got to the store, truck was ready and kid at the counter said "we can't help you unless you give us $1500.00 cash. You can have the truck and we'll try to send you your paper work later. Do you have cash??" I was stunned, and said " ARE YOU CRAZY, I don't know you, you don't know me. You'll call the police the second I leave the lot, for stealing your truck... CASH, REALLY!! Who carry's that much cash?? He said everyone now. Don't they carry cash where you're from? It took them 2 hrs of playing with the computers, card reader, printers... Nothing.... I said over and over, "find me another store that can get me a truck"!! Finally a store called back, I went there, and the system was down. Left, went to another store, now way out of my way, they had figured out how to get around the computer problems and after 45 more minutes, I drove off with a beat up, empty tank, bent door so the wind blew in my ear (1500 miles) truck!! I drove straight out of Denver, and 25 hrs back to the drop off. The worst drive I have ever made! I am 66, retired Navy Seabee with 29yrs. I've moved more 30 times (20 times in the first 4yr). I've driven uhaul trucks, car toppers, big and small trailers back and forth east to west, north to south over the whole country in all 50 states. I have never had such a stupid group of denver counter people try to sell me junk!! This was my LAST uhaul!!!

The trailer I rented must have had LED lights which didn't agree with the electronics of my 2013 Escape Titanium. Every time I used the Turn Signal or break, I got a notification of a "Trailer (turn or Stop) bulb fault. The lights did work fine but the alarm was irritating. I saw a while back that some recent LED replacement bulbs at the auto parts store had resistance built in to eliminate this problem. You might want to look into a fix for this.

I lost an hour of moving time because the reserved truck had been sent out with another customer. That location appeared completely unorganized. Those guys treated me with the HIGHEST respect Being that I am retired NAVY, that means a lot. Which was a pleasant surprise coming from guys at their ages. This is a great store. Way better than the big facility just north on Santa-fe. The only problem is how crowded and tight the parking lot is. I drive an extended crew cab dually and there isn't any place to park a big truck like that except in the middle of the parking lot. Great service!

Two comments concerning this rental. The rental tech that assisted me went above and beyond to accommodate my need on this rental. However, I was disappointed that the truck I had reserved did not accommodate the use of a 7 pin round light connector to allow me to tow my trailer with a Uhaul truck. Surprising to me, that Uhaul does carry an adapter to to go from 4 pin on your trucks to the 7 pin round on my trailer. Most vehicles equipped with towing packages from the factory include both connector styles. .Also the windows of the van I ended up renting were so dirty I had to stop and clean them in order to be able to safely drive the truck. First, I rented a dolly and it was not in the truck when I got home. I am still trying to get the charge credit back to me. I’m on hold for ever when i call. This location was very slow! I even did the check in the night before. I rented a 26 foot truck and small trailer for my 1600 sq foot 2 bedroom townhouse. After filling I had to rent another 15 foot truck and large trailer so your info of a 26 ft truck for 4 bedroom home was way off! When I went to the pickup location I spoke with the man there and discussed that I was driving into the mountains and asked if I needed chains for the tires. He told me that the trucks weight would not get me stuck. Well, I got stuck 3 times because the tires were bald. They could not get me to my home. I called roadside assistance and they kept putting me on hold. They were zero help. I paid for that to be sure I would have backup. It was getting dark and we couldn’t be stuck in the mountains in the dark. I had to call for help from a local to get us to the house 2 hours later. Why did I pay for roadside when i Didn’t get any help at all? Also why do you rent out trucks with inadequate tires where it snows and gets muddy. You need to educate your people to make sure there are trucks available for mountain driving when your in the mountains!?! I will not recommended uhaul and I’ll rate you on yelp for leaving me stranded.

Trailer roll up door sticks about 1 foot from closed upon opening. Door appeared to be much worse in the cold. Needs to be repaired. RV lights worked OK on pickup but were not working when I started travel on Tuesday A.M. Appears to be a short in wiring. Needs to be repaired.

The gentlemen that came to unhook our car trailer had a careless attitude, were not very helpful at all and when we told them that there were issues with they trailer they shrugged it off. All and all they were not inviting and kind of rude.

Lack of communication between call center and rental locations resulting in confusion for all. Rental locations should be able to see break down of bill instead of having to transfer to call centers. I adapt easily to change but rental locations and call centers need to be on the same page. - If I were to rate U-Haul in general and not per store, I would have to give them a Below Average for communication issues and inconsistencies.

It worked out ok, we reserved a 26 foot truck, but the person who had it did not bring it back on time, so we got the 20 foot truck. It caused us to have to take more trips, but it worked out ok.
