I made a reservation for a 5'8 trailer at this location because the website showed there was one available. I showed up for my reservation and was told there were no 5x8 trailers there and I confirmed this was the place I made my reservation. They offered a 6x12 enclosed for the same price. I backed my car up to the only 6x12 enclosed cargo trailer there. The technician asked for my contract and said I needed to back up to the 6x12 open cargo trailer w ramp. The brake lights worked the turn signals worked. The tail lights on the trailer weren't lighting up on the passenger side. The uhaul technician cut the wires that were part of my wiring harness and spliced them together bypassing my electrical box for the wiring harness. I was neither asked nor informed that this was being done. I have to buy a new wiring harness kit now. Then the technician tells me the tail lights work on the driver side, just not the passenger side and suggested I don't drive while it's dark, but said he was okay with letting me take it. This reservation was already bad news bears. There was possibly a short or a bulb out in the trailers wiring. My cars electrical components should not have been touched. I was told I was good to go almost 2 hours after I checked in. I get to the place to load the trailer and there was a thin electrical cord tieing the ramp closed. After getting that undone, I had to get a rubber mallet to get the one of pins up for the gate to open. At this point it was already dark. I should have been able to get this trailer loaded and unloaded and returned by 1 pm on 09/02/21. Since the trailer was alot heavier than the 5x8 I reserved, the load weight was alot less for my car. I couldn't take any risk with towing that trailer with a tail light out, having to go through downtown Denver at night. We also couldn't just leave the trailer with everything on it. This was a dilemna. Not being able to use the trailer while it was dark was a huge handicap in this move. So 4 days into this move it started getting really bad. A woman came driving in and parked in front of my car. She got out of her car. Inspected r trailer and began yelling at me, "This is my trailer" and asking if I knew some guy named Tommy. I explained I got the trailer from uhaul. After de-escalating this irate woman, we looked at my contract and then the trailer. The number didn't match. Uhaul gave me a trailer that her friend Tommy had returned after hours but the trailer was never checked in. After calling the uhaul store and patiently explaining the problem and why the woman was irrate. I had to explain it again to the manager, who had an issue comprehending why this was a problem. I explained that she was upset because she was being charged and told the manager they needed to switch that trailer to my reservation. So I received an email with the new contract, but now it said I was being charged more than 2x what I was told when I picked up the trailer because they didnt have a 5x8 ready. So the woman apologized and thanked me for getting it taken care of and not being mean. Then a little while later a guy showed up and began throwing things off the trailer onto the sidewalk and was demanding I moved the car and told me I stole the trailer. There was no de-escalating this guy. He wouldn't listen. Since he was scaring the girls, we went inside and locked the door. When we finally came back outside, there was a wheel lock on the trailer. I called uhaul store the next day and the guy I spoke with said that what happened was , since the trailer had been out longer than they could extend the reservation, they "probably" had to place the lock on the wheel in order to repo the trailer if the trailer was hitched to a car already. i was receiving voicemails from uhaul explaining that they filed a report that the trailer was stolen. 4 days go by and then the irrate guy returned, and removed his lock and left. I was so confused. So then I got the trailer loaded back up and unloaded and when I returned it I tried to speak with the manager but he would not speak to me, he had the trainee that was checking in returns tell me that I needed to call uhaul customer service. He explained that everything had been notated and told me to wait until I see a charge from uhaul on my bank statement. I didn't see a charge until 3 days after I returned the trailer and I was charged 226 $something. Then today I looked again and that charge from the 12th was no longer there, but a new charge for 524 $was charged on the 13th. This reservation should have cost me 1 day rental for a 5x8. Now, i think I could use some therapy, and a new wiring harness kit. I don't blame the employees at this store, I think as many issues that happen here the problem can not be a lack of competency. The problem is there is no training, or standard work process, and they just have to continuously replace employees because they don't train them and everything is unorganized as if there is no system at all. This has got to be resolved today.SARA S.

Your Highlands Ranch, Colorado location, to be frank, is absolutely horrendous. They changed my time and date of hitch installation not once, but twice and did not tell me either time. I was also informed that this had been done a large number of times just in that day alone. When I went to the Littleton, Colorado location they were able to help me however the first trailer they tried to give me was extremely old and quite gross. The break lights did not work which instantly caused even more panic your company had caused. I could go on but to end, I will not be using your services again. You need to do something about your Highlands Ranch, Colorado location as soon as possible.Amanda P.
Be more accurate re fuel level. Contract said it was 3/8, but it was 1/4.. I provided a photo. I drove about 15 miles, put in 2 gallons of gas just to avoid any hassles. But I feel I spent an extra 7,50 $ on gas that I shouldn't have had to pay.George L.

Everything from pickup to drop off went well. The 20' truck ran well. The only recommendation that I have is that anyone driving a long distance should be aware of the auto-downshift when applying the brakes. The system is VERY helpful, but it took me several hundred miles to come to an understanding with the process. A link to a short YouTube video explaining the braking would be very helpful.WILLIAM W.

Josh and Nathan ROCK. I had an 8 a.m. hitch receiver install appointment yesterday after searching places that were 3-6 weeks out for installation - I get there and the part did not arrive - we discussed how late I might get the hitch installed and it really all depended on when the part arrived - Josh called at about 5 p.m. and checked with Nathan, who would be there AND take customer calls from 5-8 p.m. - The part had arrived and they agreed to install last night - JOB WELL DONE, FAST AND PERFECTLY INSTALLED, great service, great guys - I think the online RSVP system, contact with customer service by phone and part ordering are fixable and due better management respectively, but I was treated with the best courtesy, even though these guys had put in a full day - that speaks volumes for U-Haul and these guys should be commended. I will absolutely tell my friends this is a go-to place.Mitch G.

The trailer should have been tested and fully functional prior to arrival. Instead the trailer lights were not working and one tire had concerning uneven wear with bald spots. The associate wanted to spend our time repairing the wiring, and only allowed us to switch trailers when I requested it, pointing out the issue with the tire (which he didn't even bother to check.) The tires on the alternate trailer were fine. Its exterior was not clean, though. Understandable since they were not planning to rent it out to me, I suppose. The associate seemed visibly annoyed he had to swap trailers. He processed it as a return and swap instead of simply voiding the initial trailer, but didn't tell me any of this, and didn't email me a new receipt, causing me to waste another hour and a half calling UHaul to confirm the trailer rental was correct because it appeared on uhaul.com that I had two trailers rented, both the old and the new, and the return/swap receipt wasn't available online.Loretta S.

Just have to give credit to the gentleman who checked me in and out. It appeared the rental shop at the 4500 block So. Santa Fe. In Littleton CO. Was short staffed August 11th. He was handling two customers at once and due to his efficiency, neither of us had much of a wait. He was hustling doing the work of two employees.DAVID T.

I still have NOT had my June 4 purchase installed despite being rescheduled three times. I receive NO NOTICE saying parts were not available and showed up for an appt that was NOT completed. They have never been able to obtain the parts. The Manager has NOT called me back to explain how we can finally get the transaction done. Any phone calls to UHAUL require sitting on hold for a minimum of a half hour. I would NEVER recommend this location.Linda F.

The storage area inside was very dark. I also had a bad experience with Mark where he never checked out my unit so I was receiving past notices and whenever I explained the situation to the rep on the phone they just said they were sending info to the manager and I never received a follow up. I filed a formal complaint about 4849 S Santa Fe with U-haul corporate. I was in that location twice trying to resolve issues. With no resolution, I called corporate. The full details of my concern are detailed there. I've used U-haul many times with excellent customer service, so this encounter at store 21 was unusual and shocking. The woman I saw first was seriously unhelpful, stating blatantly false information, refusing to help me, and sending me to another location in error. I was in a second time an hour later and spoke to the manager Mark who refused to even acknowledge his employee's obvious misstep or the impact on me - or apologize in any way. He actually threatened to turn me away if I didn't drop the discussion about how his employee completely misinformed and misdirected me in the first conversation. His behavior was aggressive, inappropriate, and starkly unprofessional. I have obvious mobility issues and he mocked me.
