Better customer service. Male employee sat with his legs crossed while chatting with his company that was not a customer while the female employee was checking trucks and serving multiple people at once. He was a very sorry excuse for an employee. I commend the female employee

The staff member providing the truck completely screwed up. First giving the key to the wrong truck then swapping them for the right truck and canceling the first. The result was we had a truck without any active registration. So when I tried to extend by 1 day I couldn't because it was told I didn't have a registered truck to extend. It took a chat conversation and phone calls with 4 separate people totaling over an hour either on hold or explaining the situation before convincing someone that I did in fact have a truck to return and extend.

Scheduled my pickup along with two delivery people our delivery person called to say he couldn't help move and it was my responsibility to call and attempt to find someone else or get my money back but had no number to call etc. then I get to U-Haul to pick up the truck I ordered and it was not ready to go and there were two men just sitting behind the counter with their feet up. So then I waited for 30 minutes for them to check the vehicle so I could get it and they still charged me for a full three hours! Never again!

Attendant hooked up the trailer and stated all was good to go. Ended up not being tightened down properly and didn't put all the safety chains on. It came off on the highway and damaged jeep hauling it.

Location was out and of furniture dollies and been out for a while, should advise customers they are not available when they are reserved online so that you are not disappointed when you arrive and unable get no furniture dollies for your move

Truck was clean, and although air conditioning worked, it only came out of windshield vents and caused fogging of windshield. All other selections for other vents did not work. Door handle on drivers side broken on inside. Window crank on drivers side knob was broken, kept falling off so hard to roll down window with no knob to hold on to. When I returned it, the clerk had no interest in checking out truck before I left as all he wanted was keys. I won't be renting here again.

Have your employees take their cell phone off their ear while assisting customers. Ther girl who checked us out seemed irritated that we were interrupting her personal phone call, especially when we had questions about our rental. She held her cell phone to her ear the entire time she was working with us.

I made a reservation for 6pm and knew I was doing the 24/7 truck pickup option. However, I did not know that the process was going to take 30 minutes before I finally got the keys, finished the steps, and drove away. Thankfully, I only needed to rent a cargo van for one pick up (and I had help as well) so I was able to return it in time but I think it should be clearly stated that the 24/7 pick up option takes a while so customers should arrive to the location before their scheduled pickup time, or make it clear that the pick up process is part of the scheduled time frame that they are rented the truck/van for. Like I mentioned though, I was able to do everything I needed to and return it in time but I would hate for some other customer to be fooled by it.

Initially my reservation sent me to a 2725 Greensboro address where there was no physical person but two trucks. When I spoke with customer service via chat, they were no help. When i spoke to them via phone they kept placing me on hold. Skyland location was perfect and efficient.

I rented a moving truck I was given the keys and told to check mileage and fuel 142,0000 miles full tank of gas ! Chip in windshield. Passenger mirror broken!! No dolly !! Which slowed me down tremendously! It got dark I only had 1 headlight!!! Very Stressful 24 hours

I Politely slid my creditcard under the protective plexiglas glass to avoid much physical contact. Employee rudley tells me to put the card in her hand. Her hand was 1 inch from where my card was, but she was to good to pick it up? I'm not sure why behave this way other than to belittle a customer. I will not go back

I returned my rental over 24 earlier than scheduled and asked to be credited back for 1 day of my rental fees. The girl just said...we don't give any returns for early returns. I told her that I just rented another trailer a week ago and returned it early and was credited for 1 day rental. She just looked at me like I was stupid and asked me if I wanted a receipt. I would like the receive a refund of 1 day of my rental!

Clean and maintain trucks better. Clerks didn't page me any attention when I went to counter to get key when I was using mobile pick up. So it delayed me more than 20 minute due to waiting to be acknowledged. They were friendly, but this defeated the whole entire purpose for the mobile use for ease and time saving with fussy children it he cars.

My reservation for 5x8 box trailer to pickup on Cotrondale Alabama. Upon arrival agent said they did not have one for me. They said the one for me the customer was told by uhaul to take it to a different location. I called uhaul and you guys reserved me for one at Skyland. When I arrived at skyland, they did not have one. My option was to leave with nothing or pay for a truck. After wanting to satisfy my agreement to my customer. I went from paying 15 $for a box trailer to paying 150 $for a truck. I am highly disappointed and lost money on my end. I want to be reimbursed by uhaul. You guys did not stand by your contract.

This storage unit was supposed to be climate controlled but this was not the case as there was obviously some kind of leak (because there wasn't a proper ceiling above the unit) causing water damage and mold to form on all of my furniture within the short time I had it stored here. The storage facility had to know about this because all the wood around my unit was also ruined, but they never notified me of such and I only found out as I was moving out. There was also a rat problem in the facility and I was again not informed of this; the staff's response was to drop a rat trap into the unit from above (since there's not a ceiling) which cracked a piece of my furniture. There were rat droppings throughout the unit. Because of the poor conditions of the unit/facility, I had to throw out everything since it was ruined- such a waste of money. Moreover, I could never reach the facility on the phone. Lastly, the majority of the storage units are off the ground level and can only be accessed by a set of wheeling stairs- such a hassle to move stuff in/out of. I can not stress enough not to get a storage unit here- horrible experience

A reservation was made days in advance but there was no truck available. They did give me a different truck but I had to return it to the same location instead of a one way drop off as planned. I did pay for the extra fuel expense but was not charged for extra miles for returning to the same location. It was about 120 miles.

I reserved equipment to help make the move more smooth, when I arrived, I was informed there were no dollies. I was also informed there may or may not be one on the back of the truck we were assigned. I remember years ago when Uhaul had equipment zip-tied on back of the trucks and if it was used then you're charged. Now equipment is nonexistent

Customer service was terrible. An employee literally looked at me and said "what do you want" while waiting in line. The lack of professionalism was laughable. The facility and units are the perfect example of false advertising. The location itself was disgusting. No lock was included in my unit as it should have been. A two story storage facility, more like bunk bed storage units. I was also told mine would be ground level, it's in the air. I will never do business with uhaul again after my belongings temporary stay here.

They lacked customer service. The air did not work in the truck reserved for me and they acted as if it didn't matter what we did about it. After calling customer service and they asked for the manager, I then got offered a 20 foot truck or call roadside to fix the air. This should have been done immediately. Not 2 hours later, after making me totally upset. These people need to be retrained in customer service!

Kevin and Ciara were wonderful in customer service! The Uhaul was terrible we had to continuelsy put oil in it and the A/C kept going on and off! There wasn't a spit of oil in the truck! And somewhere there is leak because we could fill up and probably 2 hrs down the road we were back to quarter tank!!!! Online app didn't work properly as well!

Fast service and got me on the road with a vehicle transporter in under 15 minutes, Not just once, or twice, BUT THREE TIMES IN A ROW when I had found a car that I needed to run pickup and get to my mechanic to get ready for my sons to use as their other vehicles were on their last legs!!! I was in the store several minutes and never was spoken to by an employee. 2 were behind the counter (one in a cell phone). One was propped up on boxes in front of the counter (I think he was the store manager) on his phone. I had to engage them. They act like they could have cared less if I was there or not. Dropped the trailer off and received the same rude behavior. Seems to me there needs to be an overhaul at this location. To improve things for the next customer get some employees that have the people skills to be in a business that provides customer service.

Our equipment was broken when we picked it up- couldn't be fixed, a ratchet had to be replaced and it took him 2 1/2 hours to do it. We lost driving time, almost missed the movers. Not happy. Wasn't offered any kind of compensation. Then when we returned our products they were so busy at the new location that we ended up receiving a statement telling us we dropped off just the auto transport at the wrong location? How would that even be possible? We towed the auto transport with the uhaul truck?

I was charged for mileage an gas from previous renter. It was not disclosed at time of payment to check milage an gas in truck. That for one is what UHAUL employees are paid for, not to sit behind a desk. No I will not refer anyone and I will spread the word to be sure people know how customers are charged extra. It is the employees responsibility to inform us of what milage an gas are in vehicles not we the customers responsibility. People are trying to survive an get on their feet after this pandemic, not to be robbed by a company who hasn't suffered loss.

said that they had more reservations than units, although i reserved it over a month ago, had to keep insisting for them to actually give me a unit because it was too late to go somewhere else. code and card did not work or let me into the facility, the assigned unit had other people’s belongings and two locks on it. they had to assign me a new unit which took forever. staff not helpful. very disorganized, will not be using this service ever again.

The entire time we had the unit, the door was severely damaged that we needed a pry bar to open it. We were promise the door would be replaced but never was. I asked for a discount rate on the unit but my request never was acted on. So with that said my experience was a disaster. I hope these comments are reviewed and acted on by your district managers.

My only complaint is that we were charged when it was supposed to be free for a month. After I brought this to the staffs attention it was reimbursed. However, we were locked out of our unit for nonpayment. The problem was corrected by the manager. This complaint is being posted so you know if you have a problem just talk to the staff. They are great!

I am deeply disappointed and appalled by the treatment and lack of customer service by your staff at the Skyland location. The employee was snippy and very short with me throughout my checkin process and was extremely bothered that she had to show me and my son how to get to the available units so we could see which unit to rent. We had to trample through a repair garage with tools, boxes, fans and crap all over as well as a car the repair guy was working on. It wasn't until the very end of the process, when I was paying for the unit, I had asked for her name, which she hesitated in answering that she decided to be nice. I am in the customer service business and I would never treat a customer the way she treated me and this transaction. She does not represent UHAUL company well and in my opinion she shouldn't be working in customer service.

Calling in to make reservations sucks none of the information they give over the phone is correct it's best to go in to the location personally and handle your business

Cashiers were always kind of rude. The assistant manager has no empathy and understanding to help people or to correct his mistakes. Assistant manager talks about customers and their accounts out in the open to other workers and customers, which should be a violation. Your account has rare privacy

Information given to us on the initial call was not accurate, could never get anyone local to answer the phone, gates given over the phone were not correct, staff rude and argued with customers, awful

Mensa did a great job! There were too many reservations & not enough units. I reluctantly took a more expensive unit. He took time to show me around and gave me 1 month free for my time and trouble.

It was unclear that the second story unit required steps vs a lift of some sort. All worked out, but it would be helpful to know about the stairs in advance.
