This was the most hectic move I've ever had. I had to switch pickup locations twice only to not have them have all of the equipment ready for pickup.MICHAEL V.
I made a reservation for a trailer on 10/14 for 10/16/21 & I picked it up at 7am on 10/16 and had to give additional information that could have been given at the time of the reservation. Since your store is so busy Saturday mornings, I think it would save you time to get all the necessary information when the reservation is made.STEVEN M.
I thought all paperwork had been accomplished on line and the only thing to do was pick up trailer. Wrong. Had to do the paperwork all over again, including destination address and phone number that I did not have with me. What should have taken 15 minutes took about an hour and a half. The workers never closing the elevator leaving people stuck up stairs. No one answering phone when u push the emergency call button. A tire had a slow leak which was a problem. We reserved a 26 foot truck but one wasn't available when we picked up a truck - had to settle for a 20 foot truck. Ended up picking up an additional trailer from a 2nd location.JEFFREY P.

We waited for quite a while inside the store to get helped. When we finally got checked out we had to walk all over looking for the truck we rented. It was about a block away behind the storage unit facility. No one was available to help us. Two guys sat and watched us take care of things never offering to help. My husband had to go into the mechanics shop to get the bags of blankets we rented. Gas tank was below half a tank, Would be nice to pick up truck with a full tank of gas.BRYCE S.

Overall good experience but delivery drop off was late at both locations of the move. Would be helpful to have dropoff times a few days in advance to coordinate help to load/unload. Boxes for the most part were in good shape but actually ordered an extra box in case I needed it but also after reading reviews on bad boxes being dropped off. I'm glad I did because 1 of the 4 boxes in CO was in really bad shape and would not have used it even if I needed it. Was able to get the majority of my stuff into 3 boxes which were in good shape so glad I got an extra one dropped off and didn't have to pay for it in the end. One of my boxes showed up in NC with the door almost ripped off but thankfully nothing inside was damaged. Overall I would recommend this service to others. However I had to call before dropoff at both locations for delivery instructions even though I filled out the information online in my account. I waited ~45 minutes to get the right person when in CO and then waited ~25 minutes to get someone on the phone in NC. At least the CO call had music or something but the NC one kept ringing the whole time until someone picked up the phone which was really annoying. Delivery drivers were nice in both locations and put the boxes exactly where I wanted them which was good. Would use the service again for that reason but definitely recommend ordering at least one more box than what you think you'll need in case one of them is in bad shape.Chris W.

No one ever answers the telephone. Recd an email stating that I was to get a 20' truck but instead only got a 15' truck. Had to leave two couches and 5 boxes of my stuff. Andrea is a very pleasant and helpful manager. The others team members were attentive and friendly. The young man that explained and showed me how things work was knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. The facility was clean. There were not enough rolling carts to go around and luckily the person next to us was just finishing up with his cart. The elevator stopped working and should be checked. The past rental I made here was so great but this last one the return process isn't acceptable at all. I was waiting outside to return the truck while one guys keeps going in and out of the office and their storage area. I know he saw me SEVERAL times but it was as if he didn't see any human being. I have to line up inside only to find out it is the same guy who saw me waiting outside who will check me out. And here I am 2,5 days later I haven't received my receipt yet which he told me it will be in my email in a few minutes. My last two rentals I was acknowledged by the worker and after they checked me out I have the receipt before I even get home. So this one is clearly on the worker! Sean did an excellent job trying to help find a truck for me after my truck that was set as a reservation 30 days before was not available. I was set to 4 locations to pick up a truck and two of them where not even open for business. It actually took from 830am to after 6pm to get a moving truck. There was several workers but only one was working the cash registers and was having to deal with difficult customers so was dealing with a long transaction and no one else was willing to help until I waited 15+ minutes waiting to get the key. That was it just a key I didn't need anything else. And then when it came to drop off we needed help with the app and was trying to ask the drop off attendant to help and he was more involved in his phone and trying to talk about some kind of event than helping me come up with a solution. We spent 20 minutes at the location trying to figure the app out from a glitch before he finally told us he can just check us in for drop off. All in all the location was a unpleasant experience and I will not be returning.Emelia W.

There were two employees who were very professional. The others weren't. When my spouse and I walked in the first time, all of the employees were on their personal phones and barely looked up to greet us. Thankfully, the person on the far end who had glasses, dark hair, and was Hispanic saw we needed assistance and put his phone down; he was very professional and did all he could to help us. However, the store manager had a side conversation with him about issues with other employees, which was very awkward. She was also not in a uniformâ€"just a hoodie with no name tag. Only knew she was the manager based on the photo on the business cards on the counter. None of the employees had name tags. Upon arrival, we learned that our Ubox had not arrived yet (even though it was guaranteed for the day before) and that we would need to call the location from where it originally shipped because none of the Ubox workers were available to do this themselves. We called the Davenport, IA location to determine if/when the box has been shipped. All that that employee said was that his manager would be in later that day and give me a call. I called back a few hours later and learned the manager was not scheduled for work until the next day. I never did receive a call from him, James Kelly. When our Ubox did arrive (the next day) I received a call from David at the S Havana St location in Aurora who asked for my husband, since he was the primary person on the reservation. I said that I was his wife and David responded in a rude tone, â€œso he's not available?â€ The conversation ended with David stating that our Ubox had arrived but he did not ask when we would like to access it. I tried calling back multiple times over a 1 hour period but no one answered, so my spouse and I showed up about 3 hours after the call from David to access our box. When we arrived, our truck and trailer reservation to transport our box had been cancelled (set for the previous day when we were supposed to get the box), and it took 20-30 minutes for the staff to figure out what had happened and to make a new reservation. We then learned that a 24-hour notice is required in order to access the box, even though it had arrived late. The staff radioed over to the Ubox center and thankfully the box had not been put away yet, and all of the equipment (trailer and truck) was available, so we should have been able to access everything then, BUT the Ubox people then said they couldn't do it until later in the afternoon (2-3 hours later) because a semi had arrived even though there were 2 Ubox workers. The front desk people very unprofessionally stated that the Ubox people work 8-5 and are grumpy so you never really know what they'll say. So, we ended up leaving and coming back 2 hours later to pick up the box (we just left the truck even tho we were paying for it because we didn't want to pay for extra miles). Also, one of the employees stated to another that they weren't going to answer the phone for the people who were on hold. Lastly, when we dropped the truck back off, my spouse saw a sign that stated to wait by the equipment in order to be checked out. He waited 5 minutes and when no staff came, he went inside. He then waited 20 minutes in line just to be told to leave the keys in the vehicle. These instructions were not posted anywhere. I'm glad that we'll be getting at least 50 $back for the late box, but I also want a refund on the truck due to the inconveniences and unprofessional behavior we experienced.LEAH JO B.

It took over 20 minutes for someone to come and hook up the trailer we rented. I had to go in twice and ask before someone came out. I was not pleased. Also the trailer was dirty and had small debri from potted planets, we had to sweep it out before we could load our stuff. We are a local Star Trek social group that sets up a large display at different events and continuously need to rent trucks and trailers, but we will not be back to this location.Timothy E.

I reserved a truck online weeks ago but there wasn't one available for me when I went to pick it up. I was told there was nothing they could do and I needed to go to another location 30 minutes out of the way, which is annoying because you charge per mile. I was told by the clerk that the online reservation system is flawed and results in "over-bookings". How can you run a business this way? It's impossible to get anyone at an actual location to answer the phone so booking online is the only available option. I wish I could add a screenshot of the 1 star rating this Uhaul location has. The customer "support" I received was so bad it was comical, I felt like I was in the movie Office Space or something. Words cannot express what complete sh*tshow the situation was. Do better.KARA Z.

Overall, my experience with uhaul was positive. The employees that dropped off and picked up the boxes were friendly and polite. But the real heroes are Jeff and Emma at the Augusta, GA. Store where I picked up my uboxes. They went above and beyond the call of duty. They were so helpful and kind. I had some issues trying to swap out balls on my hitch and they took the time to help me get it done and make sure I was all set before sending me on my way with a smile and a wave. I would recommend uhaul to others mostly because of my experience with them.lizabeth L.

I rent from here often because it is a large site and they typically have the truck size I need; however, they rarely have other reserved equipment, such as dollies, blankets, etc. This rental, the truck did not shift well (almost 5 before shifting), the AC did not work (it was 99 degrees on Saturday), and the truck cab was dirty.PENNY K.

We always get an excellent service from this location. The staff are all nice and always ready to help out. They make us feel welcome all the time. But as we always say there's always room for improvement. I can tell that they have new employees and in the process of of learning the ropes. I say give them more time to be shadowed by a more senior staff so they can build confidence faster and learn properly. We almost left the office with an incomplete reservation. And I really love those 9 foot vans that are new as they drive wonderfully. The staff there are accommodating. I rented the storage unit in April and couldn't get my stuff out because I couldn't see. I've contacted U-Haul through email stating that it would be fixed soon and wasn't. I left for FL in June and came back in August and still the light didn't work. The only answer I get since April is we know and working on it. The general manager Andrea is absolutely AMAZING!! I had a HORRIBLE experience at the 750 s Buckley location and went over to her store and she was so apologetic and extremely helpful to me! The building housing my storage unit was clean and well maintained, however the restroom no so much. When you are moving in, or out of a storage unit depending on the size of the unit, or how much time you spend there, at some point you are probably going to need to use the restroom. I was typically in and out of there quickly, but the couple of times that I did need to use the restroom it was below standards in my opinion. Was it the most disgusting restroom that I have ever seen, no it wasn't, but it needs more thorough cleaning, and more frequent attention, especially given that it isn't a public restroom, so not just anybody has access to it. The only other problem that I had was that I moved into the unit in late May 2021 with the promo of 'One month free'. Before I completed my first paid, and first free month I received a notice of an increase on my rent. One of the reasons given was to ensure facility upkeep and cleanliness! This is the same facility that doesn't keep the restrooms clean! Bad move. First of all I just moved in and you are already increasing my rent! On top of that you say it's to help keep the facility clean, and I don't even want to use the restroom because it's just not clean enough??!! That's a hard pass for me. I immediately gave notice to move out. The general manager said that she doesn't decide when the rent is going to be increased, which is probably true, but software is a thing. They should have a program that can flag the move in date of each unit, and send an increase based on when you moved in, not just the same random date for everybody!! It leaves a bad taste when you just moved in!! At the end of the day, I found a facility that is much closer to my home, super clean, and at a price that I can live with! Having said all of that, the staff was always friendly, though the wait could be long sometimes even with just a couple of customers in ahead of you. I got a charge for a month for a uboxes I used to had when I didn't have them anymore cause I rent with them a storage facility, even that I downloaded everything on my U-boxes before my due day and did everything I suppose to do to don't get that charge. We were dealing with an unexpeted situation that day, so finding a place that has truck rentals, AND storage facilities was awsome! We had previously decided to use a storage facility in Lone Tree, (which is VERY CLEAN) and closer to were we live, but having been given a unit in your newer building across the street which is also clean, AND brightly lit, we just decided to take advantage of the convenience of what you offer. Now when you are moving it takes time, so at some point you are probably going to need to use the restroom. That is where you guys fell down a little bit. While it wasn't throw-up inducing disgusting, it could have used some attention. There was dried #2 residue in the toilet bowl. The fact that it was dry, and would not even flush away after a couple of us used the facility indicates that it was probably left there from much earlier in the day (or maybe even from a previous day), and is really not acceptable. The bathroon should probably be checked AT LEAST once an hour, and the employees should be required to bring the proper cleaning materials with them EVERY SINGLE time, so that they can address whatever problem they encounter. They aren't going to use their hands to clean a dang somewhat public toilet, which is obviously understood. That's why they need to bring a toilet brush with them (or maybe even leave one in the bathroom) because NO ONE is going to steal a nasty toilet brush. Cleaning the toilet regularly will also cut down on stinky bathroom odors. We got hungry at a certain point and ran to grab some food to bring back to the facility (we ate it on the curb outside), so we needed to wash our hands. Dealing with the bathroom right before eating was frankly, GROSS! Other than the bathroom, I was quite happy with the experience. The access door to the facility was not working right any of the three times that I've been to the facility, including moving in. My access card would not open the door. The staff said the door hadn't been working right because people had been propping it open.
