All of the equipment was there but the knowledge of the staff person was below marginal and there was zero customer service. Didn't even leave the counter to come into the yard to inspect truck prior to driving away - I had to come back and forth to get two bundles of pads - she didn't even know how many pads in a plastic bundle. Poor Training - and low desire to accommodate customer!

First, the clerk threatened to cancel our 2-day rental because my husband chooses not to own a cell phone. AND they tried to shame him for not having one. Didn't matter that they had my cellphone number as well as our home phone number. Second, another employee appeared and went off on my husband saying "I don't like renting my equipment on the weekend. I need all my trucks in the lot on the weekend", which was CRAZY because we were trying to rent the truck for Thursday and Friday, but okay. So they "allowed" us to rent the truck from 8:00 am Thursday, until 7:00 pm Friday ... doesn't seem like 2 whole days but whatever. Third, they told my husband, if he doesn't get the truck back by 7pm on Friday, they're flagging our file and he's in for it. So here's an idea, if presenting a cellphone at the rental counter is required, and if renting equipment on the weekend is NOT ALLOWED, how about you put that on your website. Then people can decide if it's worth it to rent from you rather than giving PAYING CUSTOMERS a dressing down when they show up to your store. We've rented from Uhaul several times and NEVER experienced this kinda crap. 10 thumbs down on this experience.

The u-Haul on State St in Milwaukee dispatched us with a trailer number that did not match the contract which made turning in the trailer in Olathe, Kansas more difficult. The U-Haul rental store in Olathe,Ku was excellent and efficient.

They do not answer there own phone EVER ! They are rude. The equipment , a Van had problems. Door would not shut or lock. They did not care when I reported the problem. I want a refund.

Your website is awful, your app is worse, and your customer service line is useless. You rent trucks you don't have, then promise a 50 $guarantee, except you deducted 50 $from my account before depositing 50 $thus making my guarantee payment 0 $. I can't dispute that online because there is no option for doing so, and if I call it will be 45 minutes on hold so a CSR can lie to Me. This past rental was a quick move to storage. In the near future I will be moving cross country. I'm already exploring Budget and Penske because I will never, for any reason, under any circumstances, use Uhaul again

The only thing I don't like is amount of gas they start you out with in the uhaul. I have rented twice in the last month and each time it's been a low level of gas

Approval process took about 12 minutes, which was way too long and very frustrating not knowing whether anyone was working on securing approval or if there was a glitch with the system. That time is not including check-in, locating the vehicle, and getting the keys. Either shorten the process or at least give more insight into what is going on other than a spinning wheel.

The staff working this morning was great. Very quick and helpful. A woman helped me and two other customers with service the counter she did a nice job walking me thru the process after I couldn't get my website login to work. A man was also working who assisted a woman behind me while I was being taken care of and he helped me checkout and return the vehicle - really polite and helpful to the both of us. Every time I come to this location I have a really positive experience.

The issue is not the location, the issue is U-Haul in general. Chris the GM is a great, and did everything he could to accommodate for us! However U-Haul has a whole, is a horrible company. Customer service is horrible. I spent numerous hours on the phone with reps who were not able to resolve any issues. I originally booked a 15 ft truck 3 weeks in advanced. For it to be cancelled 3 days before my reservation. The location decided to change my pickup location and put me in a 10 ft truck. Which was WAY too small. We had to come back the same day 2,5 hours later and pickup a second 10 ft truck. Completely ridiculous, I will never book with you guys again, and I will tell all of my friends and associates about this horrible experience. Once again, nothing against Chris because he did everything in his power to help us, but on a cooperate level, U-Haul needs to reevaluate there customer service skills and accommodation skills. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED

Thank you to State Street Uhaul for accommodating me on same-day, short notice. The contact free, app-based vehicle pickup was really neat and allowed me to stay on schedule. The after hours drop-off portion was slightly confusing when I inadvertently missed a number of steps and dropped the key into the night box before completing them (pic of fuel gauge, dashboard, etc) Other than that it was a positive experience that I will do again and recommend to others.

The truck needed to be washed. There was red dirt all over it from where ever it came from. There were also damage inspection stickers in a couple spots. Overall the facility and mechanical condition of the truck were great. I will be using Uhaul again soon.

The guy that checked me in was not polite. He seemed like he was having a horrible day. We had to pull our own truck out. The pick up was not customer orientated at all. I love going to east capital. In my opinion State street location is a dead zone, which is the feelings it gives. I hate this location.

As a senior citizen it's very hard checking in after hour there should be a better method, I always have problems checking in.

The truck was horrible. It stalled very bad. It ran out of gas so quick , I said spent a lot in gas, I think it had a gas leak.

Manager on sight gave excellent customer server service. He was very courteous and definitely made me feel as of I was good hands. His covid protocol to do his part in keeping himself, employees, customers protected in the store is the best I've seen so far. Definitely would recommend his store.

I didn't receive a refund for the mileage I didn't use and also when I received the keys to the truck there was no gas in the tank the needle was on E

The truck needed to get a wash. I was also charged another fee of 56 $on top of already paying for mileage, van and for renting for less then a day. My original cost was 49 and the next day they took out another 56 without explanation. I've had several issues with this location.

Clean the trucks. Put the equipment io in the truck. Advise customers the truck bed may have ice due to low temps. Check the tires, so the customer doesn't have to wait for other customers to be serviced before they put air in tires. I fell & hurt my back due to the ice in the truck that no one warned me about.

The van windshield was completely covered with snow and ice. The employee I told about this told me it was my problem. He ultimately handed me a fractured ice scraper to clear the ice myself. I expected the van to be ready to go.

I had contact free pick up and waited over 50 mins for someone to approve my documents to get the truck and it ended up not working. They ended up having to cancel my order and redo it in the store. Definitely will be going to u haul for my moving needs

I had problems scanning the site,..it locked me out of the account..the truck was clean, but when I loaded my load up and attempted to start the truck back up it wouldn't start..I had to call the 100# for assistance, and I had to pay for someone to give me a jump because if was too cold to be sitting and waiting for road side assistance.

The General Manager in this store did a outstanding job supporting all customers on Sat Jan 2. It was a busy day and I waited in line for approx 15-25 mins; however this gentleman kept his customers up to date with his next move; supporting customers outside, filling propane tank, helping two customers at once; going back and fourth from each register. If I had a business in Milwaukee he would have been hired on the spot. Phenomenal work ethics, respectful, hard worker, overall very very impressed. Without his attention to the customers like he did, my overall experience and rating today would have been terrible; but it's his transparency and positive attitude that made my experience different. He made my frustrating day much easier, especially because I'd just loss a beloved several days before. Huge thank you!!!!
