All of the equipment was there but the knowledge of the staff person was below marginal and there was zero customer service. Didn't even leave the counter to come into the yard to inspect truck prior to driving away - I had to come back and forth to get two bundles of pads - she didn't even know how many pads in a plastic bundle. First, the clerk threatened to cancel our 2-day rental because my husband chooses not to own a cell phone. AND they tried to shame him for not having one. Didn't matter that they had my cellphone number as well as our home phone number. Second, another employee appeared and went off on my husband saying "I don't like renting my equipment on the weekend. I need all my trucks in the lot on the weekend", which was CRAZY because we were trying to rent the truck for Thursday and Friday, but okay. So they "allowed" us to rent the truck from 8:00 am Thursday, until 7:00 pm Friday ... doesn't seem like 2 whole days but whatever. Third, they told my husband, if he doesn't get the truck back by 7pm on Friday, they're flagging our file and he's in for it. So here's an idea, if presenting a cellphone at the rental counter is required, and if renting equipment on the weekend is NOT ALLOWED, how about you put that on your website. Then people can decide if it's worth it to rent from you rather than giving PAYING CUSTOMERS a dressing down when they show up to your store. We've rented from Uhaul several times and NEVER experienced this kinda crap. 10 thumbs down on this experience.Charles H.

The u-Haul on State St in Milwaukee dispatched us with a trailer number that did not match the contract which made turning in the trailer in Olathe, Kansas more difficult. The U-Haul rental store in Olathe,Ku was excellent and efficient.LEE B.
They do not answer there own phone EVER ! They are rude. The equipment , a Van had problems. Door would not shut or lock. They did not care when I reported the problem. I want a refund.JAMES G.

Your website is awful, your app is worse, and your customer service line is useless. You rent trucks you don't have, then promise a $50 guarantee, except you deducted $50 from my account before depositing $50, thus making my guarantee payment $0. I can't dispute that online because there is no option for doing so, and if I call it will be 45 minutes on hold so a CSR can lie to Me. This past rental was a quick move to storage. In the near future I will be moving cross country. I'm already exploring Budget and Penske because I will never, for any reason, under any circumstances, use Uhaul againclaire S.
The only thing I don't like is amount of gas they start you out with in the uhaul. I have rented twice in the last month and each time it's been a low level of gasTRACI A.

Approval process took about 12 minutes, which was way too long and very frustrating not knowing whether anyone was working on securing approval or if there was a glitch with the system. That time is not including check-in, locating the vehicle, and getting the keys. Either shorten the process or at least give more insight into what is going on other than a spinning wheel.Karla M.
The staff working this morning was great. Very quick and helpful. A woman helped me and two other customers with service the counter she did a nice job walking me thru the process after I couldn't get my website login to work. A man was also working who assisted a woman behind me while I was being taken care of and he helped me checkout and return the vehicle - really polite and helpful to the both of us. The issue is not the location, the issue is U-Haul in general. Chris the GM is a great, and did everything he could to accommodate for us! However U-Haul has a whole, is a horrible company. Customer service is horrible. I spent numerous hours on the phone with reps who were not able to resolve any issues. I originally booked a 15 ft truck 3 weeks in advanced. For it to be cancelled 3 days before my reservation. The location decided to change my pickup location and put me in a 10 ft truck. Which was WAY too small. We had to come back the same day 2.5 hours later and pickup a second 10 ft truck. Completely ridiculous, I will never book with you guys again, and I will tell all of my friends and associates about this horrible experience. Once again, nothing against Chris because he did everything in his power to help us, but on a cooperate level, U-Haul needs to reevaluate there customer service skills and accommodation skills. Thank you to State Street Uhaul for accommodating me on same-day, short notice. The contact free, app-based vehicle pickup was really neat and allowed me to stay on schedule. The after hours drop-off portion was slightly confusing when I inadvertently missed a number of steps and dropped the key into the night box before completing them (pic of fuel gauge, dashboard, etc) Other than that it was a positive experience that I will do again and recommend to others.Timothy E.
