The reason I wouldn't recommend is I had reserved a unit online, got confirmation and the reservation couldn't be found. So I'm not paying money for a bigger unit because I was there with my stuff and needed to store. It's a Saturday and of course it's going to be very busy but there was not enough staff on to help people. It was a very long wait. Your staff was very pleasant and helpful but very over worked which is U hauls fault, not the staffs fault. They were trying to do both uhaul trucks and storage. It was a lot for them! The other reason for the low rating is your co Outer system is slow and and accurate. I was told it was better to pay my bills in person because of glitches many times payment doesn't get recorded. Really, in a technical world full of technology I shouldn't pay online. That seems ridiculous but after losing my online confirmation I believe it!!!!Gabrielle S. | Premières impressions

Ariella was extremely rude on the phone and snapped and continued to talk over me as I was giving her an ETA on the trailer return. She then said she would not charge me any extra fee. When I returned the trailer, both Matthew and Megan agreed that my full deposit would be refunded. After heading in the office, Megan couldn't figure out how to refund me my 75 $cash deposit on the trailer, and said it would be credited to my storage account towards rent. After leaving, I received a receipt saying that my total rental was over 100 $when I was given confirmation of my deposit being refunded and or credited to my account, Ariella had been so rude and snapping on the phone, and then to learn that not only was my deposit NOT being credited or returned to my account, but I was also being charged an additional 40 $something dollars. I repeatedly asked for the manager and was told that Matthew had left, and James would be in in the morning. I will be in tomorrow to address the situation and hopefully leave a better review about this situation.Mia M.

I made a reservation online to pick up at 51 Natoma st, Folsom ca - who at the LAST minute sent me over to 9357 greenback ln, in orangevale, ca - who had NO idea that this switch has happened, and was no help in finding out what was happening. Called natoma location to see what's up, they transferred me to the WRONG dispatcher (San Francisco), who finally got me connected with Kim in the north east I believe. I would give both the greenback and Natoma location a F- or 0 star rating and will most likely use Penske next time. Ive been meaning to reach out to complain about how badly both locations handled this situation. The only positive thing I can say is that ur equipment was clean. Other than that ur services completely SUCKED!!!!! I had calls from different people and locations ALL WEEK and still problems at the end of service. Everyone kept trying to get rid of me and famous last words "call the 800 Corp ofc". I will say this rating has nothing to do with the gal that helped me and it all boils down to what I'm assuming is cooperate. The building where my storage is at is under construction and adding units. Those units won't be available for another month. The team needs to learn how to operate the computers much better. It took 30 to 40 minutes for two people to check in the two people on two different terminals in front of me people. Also when there's an issue it takes a team a long time to look for a phone number for comfort. And then eventually I gave up and asking and figured I'd find it myself. I was sent to this location secondarily because the original location did not have the equipment despite my calling to confirm no less than 24 hours earlier. This was a 2 hour detour on the day of the move. The original regional manager promised a 200 $discount for the inconvenience but Roseville was not made aware of any such discount and reluctantly lowered the price by half of the promised discount. The person standing in line behind was experiencing the same thing. So did a friend of mine that recently moved. The tracking system U-haul uses must be seriously antiquated. The manager completely took advantage of my older mom, who was renting this vehicle. I helped her make a reservation online and made sure not to click the damage waiver. Of course, they took the opportunity to add a 240 $charge, as she would not even know to look for it when she picked up the truck. Very disappointed! The corporate office made it right though and removed the charge after I called and spoke with the manager who refused to remove it. With many other places to rent a truck, don't go here. What ever happened to customer service? I also find it repugnant that uhaul would charge me 20 $to check the equipment back in. Why should I have to go to a text link and do that myself? You are completely dumping customer service and I will be looking for another rental business who treats her me as though I am a commodity. Your staff did not help us in anyway. I took a picture of the odometer and did he whole phone thing for pictures etc. When I returned the truck they said I had gone 103 miles. When I had only gone 30 miles. They said we took the picture of the wrong thing and took a picture of the Trip miles. I had to pay 40$ more for it and I had just put 16 dollars worth of gas in. This storage unit is about 3 hours away from where we're moving from. We decided to check in online because we knew we'd get there late. Having the access code would have been extremely convenient for us had it worked. We got there WITHIN the unit access hours but after the staff had left. Customer service over the phone and chat has absolutely no ability to help you with literally anything because even though it's uhaul, from the website, and the number is on the facility door, they're separate from them and can not help I any way shape or form. Alls the woman on the phone kept saying was, "this facility probably hasn't set up 24hr access." I said, "it says 24hr access right above the security box...it's 8pm..." and alls I kept getting after that was, "there's nothing I can do." It was literally our only available day to move our belongings and we had no other option. Luckily, a very nice woman who was accessing her unit let us in and helped us move inside. So all in all, this facility might be amazing, but holy smokes did the virtual customer service stink! I've contacted CS over chat before and they've been able to help, but little did I know they aren't connected to certain facilities in any way! Why in the world even have a 24/hr CS team if they literally can't do anything? The point of the code was to be able to access our unit contact-free on our own time. No where did it say it wasn't going to work! I reserved a ground level unit with a credit card and then called 2 days prior to moving to ensure there is a ground level unit available, and was told that YES a ground level unit available to me. When I arrived there was no ground level unit and it took me twice as long to move in. I would recommend helping the employees to upgrade their internet or computer equipment. They have ran into issues multiple times when I've gone in for a purchase, all due to computer issues. It is clearly really stressful for them, especially because customers get frustrated about having to wait while their computers continue to have problems & respond slowly. The customer service was excellent. I even had a rep remind me of my payment due date before it accrued a late charge which I truly appreciate given the hustle and bustle of my life. It truly meant a lot to me as a hard working single mom. When I moved in there were a LOT of leaks in the roof and I even had to change units before actually moving in due to water damage and leaks. Because of this I made sure to get the extra insurance coverage. I'm glad to say that while there were lots of leaks in the roof, thankfully my unit did not appear to have any water damage during the course of my rental agreement. The manager at this location is so rude, zero customer service. What has happened to U-Haul? How is someone like this running a facility. If you have an issue to bad your dealing with corporate U-Haul it's not my problem, you want help with storage to bad we don't have time. When I went in to set up my storage it was apparent that many of the staff members were not trained eventually somebody did come over and was able to help me it did take excessive amount of time everybody was very polite though. When I came just about a month later to close my account it was on Saturday it was a young girl working and a young man you could tell he wasn't trained but he was polite but the girl seemed like she was inconvenienced after waiting a while I did leave came backWithin the hour and the young girl was in the restroom I could hear her talking on the phone I was waiting in line she came out of the restroom and was began texting on your phone and then eventually came over to help me other than the staffing everything else was greatgale t. | Expérience générale
