The team needs to learn how to operate the computers much better. It took 30 to 40 minutes for two people to check in the two people on two different terminals in front of me people. Also when there's an issue it takes a team a long time to look for a phone number for comfort. And then eventually I gave up and asking and figured I'd find it myself. I was sent to this location secondarily because the original location did not have the equipment despite my calling to confirm no less than 24 hours earlier. This was a 2 hour detour on the day of the move. The original regional manager promised a 200 $discount for the inconvenience but Roseville was not made aware of any such discount and reluctantly lowered the price by half of the promised discount. The person standing in line behind was experiencing the same thing. So did a friend of mine that recently moved. The tracking system U-haul uses must be seriously antiquated. But that doesn't excuse the staff's failed promises.Theodore L.

The manager completely took advantage of my older mom, who was renting this vehicle. I helped her make a reservation online and made sure not to click the damage waiver. Of course, they took the opportunity to add a 240 $charge, as she would not even know to look for it when she picked up the truck. Very disappointed! The corporate office made it right though and removed the charge after I called and spoke with the manager who refused to remove it. With many other places to rent a truck, don't go here. This review has nothing to do with the specific site I used. I find it maddening that U-Haul now expects me to check myself in as far as confirming mileage, and possible damage to the truck. What ever happened to customer service? I also find it repugnant that uhaul would charge me 20 $to check the equipment back in. Why should I have to go to a text link and do that myself? You are completely dumping customer service and I will be looking for another rental business who treats her me as though I am a commodity. This young man said to check with him after we were done and he'd see what he could do. Your staff did not help us in anyway. I took a picture of the odometer and did he whole phone thing for pictures etc. When I returned the truck they said I had gone 103 miles. When I had only gone 30 miles. They said we took the picture of the wrong thing and took a picture of the Trip miles. I had to pay 40$ more for it and I had just put 16 dollars worth of gas in. The only redeeming quality they have is the manager onsite. She is nice. And willing to strive to do better. Everyone else i dealt with for my storage and/or truck rentals, were less than desirable. I was given misinformation from one girl and almost charged a penalty for it. Even after i clarified it with her several times. She had NO idea what she was doing when trying to rent a truck to me. Yet when i came back the gentleman that helped me had me taken care of in less than 10 minutes. Absolute joke of a storage place. Truck was nice and cleam and ran great. For a company whose business it is to provide rental equipment, it is frustrating that the customer had to drive 150 miles from a major metropolitan area to get a rental for a reservation made 3 weeks in advance. Service was fantastic. However, Uhaul needs to invest in better tech support and interface for mobile pickups as well as their in-house booking system. Staff was faced with back to back tech issues that were not resolvable in their hands. They seemed to be dealing with a lot of tech issues that they didn't have a solution for. Would be great to support your employees better by diagnosing the tech-side of things. For example, I was scheduled for a mobile pickup. The phone process was ok until I had to verify a secondary contact. That didn't work for a few minutes and my secondary contact couldn't be contacted. I went inside for assistance and the staff was nice enough to sign me in manually. Then, we got to the end of the transaction and the system sent the entire transaction back because I had begun my 24 hour pickup. So I then had to close out tabs, staff tried again. It happened a couple more times. I ended up getting my truck 1 hour later into my 4 hour reservation. Thanks fully I got everything done on time and was able to return the truck before my drop off time. Staff were beyond apologetic and stressed about the whole thing. I told them it wasn't their fault and that Uhaul management on the corporate end should be doing more to tackle these hiccups so their employees and customers are equally supported and content. As I said, I was scheduled for pickup at 3 and ended up finally leaving the facility at 4:15. The headache Wasn't worth the 40 $I spent to be honest. I hope Uhaul can address these tech side issues in the future.Mary R.

Guaranteed reservation was canceled two days before my move. I was very concerned and called the number. They would "try" to find something for me. They then downgraded my to a smaller trailer, "unless I wanted to do a round trip" Showed up and Clerk was unable to find my reservation, even when showing the reservation number. truck was out of gas when I left uhaul facility. associate told me 1/4 of a tank.. there wasn't. so I called to let the associates know, they said not a problem, you will be credited for the gas you put in. not a mile down the road, truck completely dies, yep out of gas. I call associates again, let them know I'm down the street truck won't start..they had me send photos of gauges to a phone number. the gas cap was already off.. looks like the trucks gas has been siphoned, luckily I was 15 min walking distance from a gas station. after 30 min finally on the road. now I'm ready to return and manager was no help nor gave me any kind of credit for the trouble as well as the gas I had to put in.. she had me leave with no sollution, unsatisfactory and very unprofessional. This storage unit is about 3 hours away from where we're moving from. We decided to check in online because we knew we'd get there late. Having the access code would have been extremely convenient for us had it worked. We got there WITHIN the unit access hours but after the staff had left. Customer service over the phone and chat has absolutely no ability to help you with literally anything because even though it's uhaul, from the website, and the number is on the facility door, they're separate from them and can not help I any way shape or form. Alls the woman on the phone kept saying was, "this facility probably hasn't set up 24hr access." I said, "it says 24hr access right above the security box...it's 8pm..." and alls I kept getting after that was, "there's nothing I can do." It was literally our only available day to move our belongings and we had no other option. Luckily, a very nice woman who was accessing her unit let us in and helped us move inside. So all in all, this facility might be amazing, but holy smokes did the virtual customer service stink! I've contacted CS over chat before and they've been able to help, but little did I know they aren't connected to certain facilities in any way! Why in the world even have a 24/hr CS team if they literally can't do anything? The point of the code was to be able to access our unit contact-free on our own time. No where did it say it wasn't going to work! I reserved a ground level unit with a credit card and then called 2 days prior to moving to ensure there is a ground level unit available, and was told that YES a ground level unit available to me. When I arrived there was no ground level unit and it took me twice as long to move in. The customer service was excellent. I even had a rep remind me of my payment due date before it accrued a late charge which I truly appreciate given the hustle and bustle of my life. It truly meant a lot to me as a hard working single mom. When I moved in there were a LOT of leaks in the roof and I even had to change units before actually moving in due to water damage and leaks. Because of this I made sure to get the extra insurance coverage. I'm glad to say that while there were lots of leaks in the roof, thankfully my unit did not appear to have any water damage during the course of my rental agreement. When I went in to set up my storage it was apparent that many of the staff members were not trained eventually somebody did come over and was able to help me it did take excessive amount of time everybody was very polite though. When I came just about a month later to close my account it was on Saturday it was a young girl working and a young man you could tell he wasn't trained but he was polite but the girl seemed like she was inconvenienced after waiting a while I did leave came backWithin the hour and the young girl was in the restroom I could hear her talking on the phone I was waiting in line she came out of the restroom and was began texting on your phone and then eventually came over to help me other than the staffing everything else was greatgale t. | Expérience générale
