He helped me perform one last check that I hadn't left anything behind, and made the whole process as simple and professional as anyone could hope for. Definitely would recommend you come here and take care of any your moving/storage needs!
Hunter L.Insufficient desk help. Long lines and wait even when all info done beforehand... Hard to understand person at desk. Mumbles. Exactly as I read other reviews. No change. First Trailor had bent hitch. Moving Trailor by hand is an accident waiting to happen. They move ships and planes by tuggers. Pretty easy to design one for trailers. The yard person was excellent. Polite and hardworking. Totally different from other U-Haul in NOLA Problem 100 % management issue.

CHARLES Z.i made a reservation for a truck, tow dolly, and appliance dolly. i only received a truck and tow dolly, so i had to waste 3+ hours of my day looking for a dolly to move my items. this was a MAJOR inconvenience and when i inquired about it at this location they raised their voice at me and said that there was nothing they could do because they had already given them all away. what is the point of making a reservation when the equipment your reserved is not there?
Christopher B.It would have been much appreciated to have been given a storage unit on the ground floor, closer to the front door as opposed to the upper floor in the far reaches of the building. This could have easily been determined at the time of acquiring the unit that I am an elderly senior citizen and utilizing the storage unit today almost took me down. However, I have been renting at UHaul from Ruth Brown for a more than 25 years. This is just a minor hiccup in younger employees having limited compassion and maximum apathy for aging seniors today. But, over all, UHaul is one of my favorite American Companies. Where else in the world can a family rent a moving truck in Nome, AK and drive all the way to Key West, Florida without terrorism, zealots, and fear or reprisal of any kind. America the beautiful and UHaul. ~RMW :)

James P.Vehicle NOT available at the time I booked it for, which caused all kinds of other scheduling problems. Only ONE person at desk checking you in for your vehicle. If I had not been there one hour BEFORE the location opened, trying to rent my truck via there app for the time I booked it for, and if I had not been FIRST in line, there were 10 other customers behind me at opening time and it would have taken another hour or two longer before I could get my truck. When I returned the truck after hours, the QR code they gave me on my receipt would not work so I just had to leave it there and hope for the best. I will find an other way to move in the future.

Trina G.U-Haul Tulane staff is great; main problems with swipe in cards, and MOVE DAT moving "helpers" listed through U-Haul: they seemed to expect to move only a few items, although we reserved two hours. They left so much behind, that we had to keep truck another day, and finish the job ourselves! Back & feet disability made this painful & time consuming....please talk to MOVE DAT about customer service, respect, professionalism...so far everyone at Tulane Uhaul itself has been good to us, and courteous...

Harry W.A few weeks ago I had a mobile check in where I never had to go inside to get keys. This was fantastic! Most recently though, they were back to system where I had to go inside and wait in line to pickup keys even after checking in online.

Brenda M.They were not able to hook up our tow dolly to our truck. We had already loaded the truck so we could not switch trucks. Also there was very poor communication between this location and the St. Claude location in New Orleans. We had to drive back and forth several times because they didn't know how to properly look up our reservation.
Joy M.My only issue was that the mileage I was told was on my vehicle was actually 70 miles off. That could have led to additional charges if I didn't catch it. I'd like those already good service agents to be more careful in the future.

In addition, the odometer reading did not reflect what my paperwork indicated, since I was in the wrong vehicle...it read 3802, but was recorded as 3777, adding mileage to my bill. Therefore, I was overcharged for mileage. I tried calling but was placed on hold for several minutes, so I hung up! I will NOT use this facility again.

elwanda W.UHaul needs to get their systems in order! I reserved a 10' truck a week in advance with mobile check-in. I arrived on-time and checked in on my phone, only to still have to wait in a long, half-hour line to get my keys. Once it was my turn, my truck had already been rented! What's more, the location had no trucks left to rent, so I had to use a cargo van instead, which was significantly smaller and required me to make multiple trips. The cargo van had a nasty, used toothbrush sitting on the driver seat. I will absolutely not be recommending this location to a friend!
Ivy S.It took 1,5 hours in line to process 12 customers. The staff was very very very slow in processing customer reservations. I had to hook up my trailer myself as no one was present outside. Finally, a rep came out to take a picture and walked off without any assistance. It was a bother to him to actually show up. I would not recommend this location!!!
Richard H.We had to return our truck Sunday night. We got a storage room that day to unload the truck. The online process was easy however once we got to our unit the storage was padlocked despite the online booking saying "the lock and key will be in the storage unit". We could not access the unit that day and had to wait for the following morning which made it difficult with my work schedule. It was stressful when you are told you have access to your unit and then you can't even open it. I also called that location in Tulane AL multiple times and they never picked up

But I had an issue with the rental of a truck the first time I got there, I got gas and returned the truck and was charged with low gas. I had only drove 14 miles and had the truck no more than one hour. What I did not do then was take photos or get a receipt for the gas. This time when I picked up a van and check the gas level it was less than the second notch (photo taken) I drove less than a mile , the marker dropped substantially (photo taken). This time I had drive less than 10miles and had the van about an hour. I did fuel up the van and returned it pass the mark I got it. I am not pointing fingers just making a legitimate case on the rental of your vehicles. SOMETHING IS WRONG!!!!

I moved out on the day the automatic draft for payment came out of my account. I've been informed that my money will not be refunded even though I will not be occupying the space. To me that's bad business. I won't be using the Tulane location again.
Karen S. | Expérience généraleUhaul defrauded me. The elevator to this facility is poorly maintained and often out of order, such as on the day I tried to store my belongings in my storage unit. No reasonable person would elect to haul heavy boxes/furniture up three flights of stairs, but that's what Uhaul would have me do as they refused to refund the cost of the unit even though I wasn't able to store a single item due to poor management and customer service. The conduct of the staff is egregious, giving me misinformation when I presented the issue to them and promising return calls from management that never came. They even went so far as to gaslight me by saying I wasn't a customer and had no account with them, even though I have documentation of my contract with Uhaul and the lease agreement. This facility has convinced me not to give Uhaul another cent, and I will share my experience with everyone I know.

The access hours changed while I was a customer, but I was not notified and it wasn't called out during the rental of the new unit. I loaded a truck full of stuff and got there at 7:20PM thinking that I had until 10:00PM to unload seeing as those were the previous hours and that's what the sign on the outside of the storage building said. My unit was on the second floor, and even though I could still access the first floor, I couldn't use the elevator or stairs to move stuff. A sign inside the facility reflected the shortened access hours. When I came back with the truck the next morning, the elevator was out of service, which seems like a regular occurrence. This led to me having to walk all of my belongings up the stairs to the second floor. I'll be leaving this facility as soon as I can.

As of now, it is still unclear if there is still an issue. Furthermore, staff was surly and unhelpful in my interactions with them.

I believe a vehicle was available and the agent was getting off and was ready to leave so she said there were no vehicles available. I rented a storage unit too. I was told the unit is open from 7 to 10. I made it to the unit to unload the truck at 9p…the storage was closed. I came back this morning for 7:30 and the unit still was not opened. I am moving my belongings to the Public storage across the street for better customer service
