Both times I have been here they are incredibly rude and unhelpful. They act like every customer is scum of the earth. Will never come to this location again.
Paige RMy pickup point was at the location I made the reservation for. When I arrived at Storage King 3201 E Judge Perez Dr Meraux, LA they had no trailers there and told me I was at the wrong location. I told the lady U Haul never sent me a location in New Orleans to pick up the trailer, just this location. The problem was solved rather quickly, but it did interrupt my busy schedule that morning and made for a longer drive that day and into the night.

Ronald RThere were homeless people in and out the storage area and I paid for climate control but the homeless people kept the doors to the stairwells open and that made the 3rd floor and that kept the floor at 80° at all times. Therefore there wasn't a reason for it to be climate controlled. I was so disappointed that I moved all of my stuff out of the storage asap.

Ended up having to rent a 10' box truck that cost more per mile and on fuel consumption. I also had to go to a different location 15 min in the wrong direction which made me 30 min late while a crew was waiting on me. The truck had also seen better days. Renting a U-Haul always seems to be a hassle!
Zachary BThe trailer that was rented to me was very old and the lock was rusted. Steel hooks inside the trailer was broken so I couldn't strap my belongings down. Whenever I raised the door up it got stuck at the top. I hurt myself trying to pull the door down each time. Ridiculous.
CHASITY RWas charged for 2 gallons of fuel even tho I filled more than it had when picked up. Tuck was dirty, dusty, sticky and smelled bad.

Ebonie Mthe person that was processing the returned truck needs to be more communicative. the gal from the office came out and got me started with him, i gave him the key, he went to the truck, got in the cab, did his thing - which took a minute or two, got out of the truck, and when he was about to walk right by me, not saying a word to me, i asked him "is everything where it is supposed to be"/ - to which he replied yest and kept walking, disappearing from sight so, there i was, standing in the yard like a lost puppy not knowing what to do, wondering where he went and whether i needed to do something. minutes later i saw him driving another truck thru the yard. There was no "you are all set" or "you are good to go"; so after trying to find him again to get something along the lines of an "all clear" from him, i just left, having no idea if there was anything left i needed to do before i left.
Shane SEven though the system went down, y’all gave me good customer service, got me out there quick as possible, answered all my questions did everything I needed for a affordable price, with no doubt I’ll recommend and will be using U-Haul in the future

DAVID BThe uhauls steering wheel needs to be replaced, it's so old and was basically melting off and every time you use it your hands become sticky. Also- Tulane ave is generally a dangerous area of town and there was a ton of homeless people.
Abigail DThe customer service wasn't great. One employee snapped at me when I asked him a question. I came to drop off my truck and asked him what if anything do I need to do for my drop off. I tried to find another employee because no one was inside. This other couple was inside waiting too. They made a reservation for a truck and found out when they came to pick it up, that there wasn't any trucks available. I also made a reservation to include a dolly and when I showed up, I found out none were available. Not really the interactions I want to have on the day I'm moving.

Thanks for the hustle it was much appreciated. Equipment was clean and ready yo go when I walked out. No issues with equipment. One area of improvement. When I went to return the truck the app did not work correctly. It was unable to find my location. I called at it was handeled very quickly and to my satisfsction.

Andrew LMiss Ruthie was absolutely wonderful and so was the young lady who opened the lockers for us and got us started. So was the nice young man who helped me add a locker when we ran out of room later in the evening.. Strangers came up and helped us unload two pianos and we ended up exchanging information. It is very stressful moving but these things all made it easier. Had some trouble with the key entry after the office closed and that was a real pain in the butt. Having to scan in and out over and over and especially when using the elevator was not fun. At one point the system locked us out and wouldn't let us back in and we hadn't secured the lockers or even closed the doors, and we had stuff in all three hallways. Thankfully another customer let us back in but we had to leave the door propped open while we were outside finishing unloading the trailer so we didn't get locked out again.

I was originally set for a pickup at 10 am for marrero La location and then uhaul called me at 9:30 pm and telling me my truck wouldn't be ready until 2pm for st Claude New Orleans la location when I called to make sure truck was there. The lady told me not till 5 pm , I arrived at 5 pm and truck still wasn't there. The customer before me still hadn't returned it when he was scheduled to and I sat there til 545 and they called the customer and no answer and finally he answered and dropped the truck off at a different location which is Tulane Ave so then I had to drive to a different location to pick up my truck. I finally got my truck at 6:45 pm This was definitely a INCONVENIENCE TO ME I COULDNT START MY MOVE ON TIME AND HAD TO PAY HELP EVEN LONGER BC OF ALL THIS! I truly need to be compensated on this rental. THIS WASNT MY fault! AND I was ran around. All that day. Very aggravating

Thomas CI rent very often from this location because it is convenient for me. The cargo van had a very bad odor. Perhaps old seafood that a renter was transporting. I had to clean the windshield myself because it `was so dirty. There was also a 1,5 foot crack in the windshield which the location had not noted. I notated it on my check list but went back into the dealership. Ruth at the desk was helpful and came at to inspect it and made a note on my contract.

I was emptying my unit and I had furniture that could be passed on to anyone in need of a bedroom set. I placed the furniture and a few comforters that I no longer needed into the space. The person that closed my account told me I cannot leave the donations there. I need clarity of the policy for the U-Haul community share space.

Upon return when I came back into the building another gentleman told me that I actually didn't need my dl because I was only getting a unit. They left so much behind, that we had to keep truck another day, and finish the job ourselves! Back & feet disability made this painful & time consuming....please talk to MOVE DAT about customer service, respect, professionalism...so far everyone at Tulane Uhaul itself has been good to us, and courteous...

The online process was easy however once we got to our unit the storage was padlocked despite the online booking saying "the lock and key will be in the storage unit". We could not access the unit that day and had to wait for the following morning which made it difficult with my work schedule. It was stressful when you are told you have access to your unit and then you can't even open it. I also called that location in Tulane AL multiple times and they never picked up

But I had an issue with the rental of a truck the first time I got there, I got gas and returned the truck and was charged with low gas. I had only drove 14 miles and had the truck no more than one hour. What I did not do then was take photos or get a receipt for the gas. This time when I picked up a van and check the gas level it was less than the second notch (photo taken) I drove less than a mile , the marker dropped substantially (photo taken). This time I had drive less than 10miles and had the van about an hour. I did fuel up the van and returned it pass the mark I got it. I am not pointing fingers just making a legitimate case on the rental of your vehicles. SOMETHING IS WRONG!!!!

I moved out on the day the automatic draft for payment came out of my account. I've been informed that my money will not be refunded even though I will not be occupying the space. To me that's bad business. I won't be using the Tulane location again.
Karen S | Expérience généraleUhaul defrauded me. The elevator to this facility is poorly maintained and often out of order, such as on the day I tried to store my belongings in my storage unit. No reasonable person would elect to haul heavy boxes/furniture up three flights of stairs, but that's what Uhaul would have me do as they refused to refund the cost of the unit even though I wasn't able to store a single item due to poor management and customer service. The conduct of the staff is egregious, giving me misinformation when I presented the issue to them and promising return calls from management that never came. They even went so far as to gaslight me by saying I wasn't a customer and had no account with them, even though I have documentation of my contract with Uhaul and the lease agreement. This facility has convinced me not to give Uhaul another cent, and I will share my experience with everyone I know.

The access hours changed while I was a customer, but I was not notified and it wasn't called out during the rental of the new unit. I loaded a truck full of stuff and got there at 7:20PM thinking that I had until 10:00PM to unload seeing as those were the previous hours and that's what the sign on the outside of the storage building said. My unit was on the second floor, and even though I could still access the first floor, I couldn't use the elevator or stairs to move stuff. A sign inside the facility reflected the shortened access hours. When I came back with the truck the next morning, the elevator was out of service, which seems like a regular occurrence. This led to me having to walk all of my belongings up the stairs to the second floor. I'll be leaving this facility as soon as I can.

I believe a vehicle was available and the agent was getting off and was ready to leave so she said there were no vehicles available. I rented a storage unit too. I was told the unit is open from 7 to 10. I made it to the unit to unload the truck at 9p…the storage was closed. I came back this morning for 7:30 and the unit still was not opened. I am moving my belongings to the Public storage across the street for better customer service

I talked to the manager Brandon Pierre and he was very rude and said that's all they had available. I stood talking with the associate before he even came out the office and his office is literally one step away. We went back and forward about the storage not being a 4 bedroom unit. He said the person that helped was working from home and didn't know what sizes the storage units are, I told they should have knowledge of anything they are selling from uhaul. Brandon gave me a refund on the storage but I feel I should get a refund for the truck that I used and loaded for nothing. Tulane Ave. UHaul is very unprofessional and unorganized. Would not recommend anyone to that one.

The reception was unhelpful and said they could not check security cameras and I was given a contact number to call. No one answered this number or responded to my voicemails. I assume that it was the business that backed the truck into my car, it cost me a $500 deductible. I would in no way shape or form recommend such a business to anyone.

I called and told them I moved out. I got emails about stuff going up to auction. I called and told them I moved out. I left a few things because I could not get them. I told desk employee. I even asked if they had somewhere I should throw the few things I had left. I have asked multiple times to speak with manager. Waited on phone for hours multiple times for almost a year. Was told he would return my call ever time after being placed on hold for unrealistic amounts of time. Was told he was hooking up trailer, filling up propane, checking truck, over in storage. None of these things should take almost two hours. He has never returned my phone calls. My account was sent to collections for over $1400. I am so disappointed and disgusted with the staff at this facility. I did everything I could to get this matter straightened out. The employee instructed me wrong. Had I known this would happen of course I would have done it differently. The manager avoids his duty to speak with customers and discuss important matters. I would not recommend this facility at all nor any Uhaul facility if I can not get this off my credit history. I should not have to pay for a storage unit I moved out of. I can not drive four hours to speak to a manager face to face. I am now going to reach out to headquarters on the matter.

I do have a problem because in the description of the storage unit it said 5xx8x10 and it is not that it is 5x8 at the front but it drops down to 4 or 3 foot. I really needed a storage unit as advertised. I will need to get into the storage unit often. I do not want to have to go and have to remove everything or close to everything just to get items out and put it all back just have to take it all out again to put it all back. I did not say anything the day I took possession because I was extremely tired and did not want to lose my temper. I hope that we can work something out because honestly it is misleading and I expect better of U-Haul.
