Contact with staff at the counter was not professional and they were not respectful of my time. I am not interested in their personal morning routines, ie time they wake up and pray. Also to have the news streaming on their phone while they are supposed to be focused on obtaining information from me so I can get out of the building and get going. I have a busy day planned and time is of the essence. Two men helped hook up the trailer and they were fast and efficient and friendly. When returning the trailer at the end of the day the man receiving the trailer was abrupt and rude, and not co-operating with the person at the front counter. Again slowing the process down considerably. We have used U-Haul many times this past 5 months at many different location s and this was the first time we had a negative experience.Dianne L.

One of the tie down straps on the Auto Transport was frayed. This is a result from a previous customer not securing the strap properly and "dragging" which damages the strap, fraying the end. This situation results in it being difficult to thread the strap into the ratchet.Joseph W.

Key word customerâ€¦. It took me speaking with three different reps before I could get a rentalâ€¦ fiat lady was rude could no comprehend when customer was speaking to her, very poor customer service. Second rep was also the same as the first. Third guy was honest owned up to his mistake and tried to resolve the issue, out of fear he would be in trouble! I would love to give you there names however no name tag nor on my receiptâ€¦ when asked the first one was very rude and her behaviour was not acceptable. I was not looking to be treated as a king however as a normal human with out class system in place. I was not impress with you checking in and out system I was able to sign up for the truck that I rented however when I go to pay which I was in store for 45 to get to that point your alert system was popped up. Another half hour in store clarifying your mistake about my previous rental a dollie which I returned was never scanned in and I owe a 500 dollar fee on. That dollie in now in Texas as the over the phone rep was able to figure and track it down. Poor tracking system that alert should have popped up when I gave my phone number and your angent looked at my profile so I could settle that situation where your store messed up in the first place! You guys are in a time sensitive business making people wait almost 2 hours before they can sign out a truck is really poor. As for the customer service from your reps you need to have people who want to be there, and also have a manager or a led person who can be able to make decisions on the weekend when you reps tell me that is your busy time of the week. So when asked the question above, â€œwould you recommend our store?â€ No I can honestly say no, with out hesitation. I have rented from this location in the passed and never experienced anything like what I had to go thru this weekend. In the future I hope you really take a good look at this and improve your business model, I would hire a analyst to conduct a business audit, as this experience has left me dumbfounded!PATRICKR J.
Access to the outside unit is good. Unit very spacious. But outside area is not well lit at night. I had to keep my car headlights on to see what I was doing. Not clear on how security is maintained at night. No security gates. I used the Mobile Pickup service to pick up a van but next day your team said that there is no record of order. Why do you have a service that will create an order that is not recognized by your system in your office? After i was able to pick up a van , the car I received initially did not started so I had to get back to the office to pick another car. I appreciate the help from your team they just tried to fix theissues. Considering this issues, you should definitely do something more to improve the quality of the services you want to provide.GABRIEL C.
I have online checked in for faster service including uploading a driver's license as well. But still need to check in and prepaid at the counter and clerk didn't mentioned about the details on documentation and especially drop off location not explained. My prefer drop off location were 100 steeles ave west unit 15A and they refused to take my cargo trailer due to the parking lot issue and asked me to go 50 Doncaster Ave. Which was OK not too far and when I got there. The store is closed around 2pm. Contacted customer service and they asked me to go different location in Richmond Hill which is out of my range and town. And they said just drop it off and sent me a text message without any further notice. I used my online account to self drop off option which is lucky to take photo for proof of drop off inside of cargo trailer and outside parking spot. Hope this is ok. I ONLY USED FEW HOURS OF TRAILER AND HAVING TROUBLE WITH DROP OFF. This must be improved and should take any location uhaul.Jong-Chan K.

When I returned the trailer at 9pm I had difficulty getting my cell to connect to the internet and could not make the necessary return check in. I went to phone the location the next morning but found an email receipt was already in charging me 20 $plus tax doubling my bill. I don't agree with sticking the customer with having to do the return by internet. I don't work for the company. The company should do the return just like they booked it out. I don't fell I should be charged for not being able to do it, let alone be charged the same price as the rental was, doubling my bill.THOMASJ B.

I reserved a truck for Mobile Pick-Up. When I got there and was looking for the truck, a U-Haul worker told me I had to go register inside at the counter first. So I went inside and had to go through a whole different Counter Pick-Up process. It confused everyone, wasted everyone's time, held the line up, and made me late for my move. What's the purpose of offering Mobile Pick-Up if I just have to go inside for Counter Pick-Up anyways???!!!!! Terrible process. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!Nelson C.
Great service. The technician even showed me how to use and store the wire and hitch. The wait was 2 hours, which I spent 1,5 hours in Tims, but 30 minutes in your office. Can you reduce the time down to 1,5 hours?Phil C.
Fix the Android app to ensure after hours return works properly. I was unable to upload the odometer photo that forces me to wait on hold for 45 minute to register the return with a customer service agent. I am VERY angry that the first location we were sent to pick it up using the "24/7 self pick-up" actually did NOT have the self pick-up and we had to wait an hours before it opened, good thing we didn't reserve for 3 am...... Very bad experience! The vehicle I rented was fine. The service from the employees was the problem. I'm not including the shocking details here for fear of retribution. I will say if the customer doesn't look or act like the employees you will feel the tension. The worse part is U-Haul is the only option in Toronto for cargo vans and trailers. The customer service it's very bad. They called me three times because the employee lost the keys of the car. I already put 20 $gas on the car for 20 kilometres that I did and when I received the bill after dropping of the car notice that they charged me 50 $gas plus 30 $delivery gas fee for only 20 kilometres that I did with that car. I appreciate Tariq A for leaving the vehicle he was cleaning, to assist me, after running late, my debit card was stuck in machine by the gas pump station close by, and missed the 5:00 PM office front door, that was already closed; he went inside the employee entrance, got contract, checjed vehicle with me, then asked me to get my things out, and he said he could closed the contract if paying by credit card, which he did. I was sent to this location because my original location in Etobicoke didn't have the truck I booked even though it was guaranteed. I found this location to be very well organized and had a large fleet available. The Rep I dealt with was very nice and professional and made sure she explained everything. Overall was happy with the rental even though had to drive all the way to Scarborough. Head office was able to add some free KM to make up for it.WAQAS A.

My entire experience from reservation to pick up was absolutely brutal! I reserved a 20' truck with tow dolly 3 weeks prior to need. First call back, I am told that there were NO - 20' trucks in my entire area. The representative was curt and offered no alternatives but a smaller truck. A week before I needed the equipment, I checked my reservation and saw that the wrong date, quickly remedied. I then received a second call advising me on rental date that I needed to pick up tow dolly at a different location (same representative as call 1) again curt etc. Finally able to speak to different representative, I was able to pick up all equipment at the Scarborough location, arranged for pick and was given some extra mileage (thank you). I get to location and they had to scramble to locate one - my wait time almost 2 hours! Atrocious customer service through your customer call centre! Totally unprofessional! I will never ever use U-Haul again and will not recommend your company to anyone!JENNIFER M.

I opted to move my stuff to another non-Uhaul facility as this one I found to be not only overpriced but also not maintained well. My boxes were damp and right from my first day there I had a terrible time trying to close the locker door (I also had two friends attempt to close it and both struggled as well). Additionally, every time I opened the door or shut it a bunch of sawdust (our what I believe to be sawdust would fall on me). No elevator's!! Had a heck of a time trying to carry stuff up then down those stairs. Dolly's where provided both at top and bottom of stairs but useless on stairs. STOP IT! management: wake up to the fact you don't understand what customer service means. Get retrained so that the staff don't get the full brunt of the criticism and harassment because of your blindspots. I would never buy a franchise for that reason. The company is losing millions and they don't know it and probably do care. So sad. Little frustrating that you can't use your own lock especially when you are short on money and have none, yet need to store items so you can get the trailer back and get a refund.
