I was billed 235 $after using the truck for 2 hours and doing less than 100 kms. Manager told me I put over 280s and returned the truck with only half a tank. Called the location immediately following the over charge, the manager still hasn't gotten back to me.Tyler B.

Everything about the rental experience was smooth. I was particularly impressed with my ability to make changes to my reservation right up to 12hours before picking up my rental van. I thought pricing and agreements were very reasonable. To improve experience, you could demonstrate appropriate mask wearing - both nose and mouth covered. One employee entered the building prior to their shift without a mask on at all. Another wore a buff style mask which has been shown to be much less affective than other face covering options. You could also make public what you are doing to sanitize vehicles between users at this time. Merci.Holly H.

The instructions on how to return your truck said to sign in, then go to the Return My Truck button. However, once signed in, there was no such button to be found. Also, when I said I would be returning the truck at 8:30 on Sunday, no-one at the location said they would be closed then. So, I then tried to return online, with the frustrating experience of the website noted above.Thomas F.

The technology is awful. Somebody should test picking up a vehicle using their phones. Twenty minutes of frustration. Returning the vehicle online is hopeless.Patrick C.
I showed up on a Friday afternoon between 3-4pm wanting to rent a 15' Truck with a ramp for the Saturday. I think there was a huge communication barrier as I left this location without a truck or a reservation for Saturday, believing the truck I needed was not available. I went home and booked the truck online only to find out the truck was at the location I was just at. My virtual experience with U-Haul was perfect... in person, not so much!!!MARKD L.

For a one day (8 hrs) rental it ended costing me 225,00 $ as I had 155 $in mileage fees because I ended having to drive 140 miles instead of the 75 originally planned. 1,11 $ mile / 0,69 km is too high in my opinion for longer hauls. My thoughts would be perhaps use that rate up to a threshold distance and anything beyond that drop the rate of the renter plans on 100+ Km distance as that might entice more renters for longer day trips. Overall happy with the service at this location just wish the advisor had a few more options to maybe offer me at time of rental then just the standard uhaul plan.Jeff H.

The return process should have been explained at the initial rental. It would have saved me 20 minutes of waiting. The truck was clean, full of gas and no mechanical issues during the move. A back-up camera would be a great feature to help novice truck drivers like me.Brian D.

We checked in online before arriving. It made absolutely no difference to the time to get the equipment. It took 30 minutes to actually get served and fully check out with the equipment. Checking in beforehand took a lot of time in advance and made no difference in the end. Not sure I would take the time to do the online checkin in advance next time.Lynne K.

Location didn't have my truck, sent to location 15 min away which also didn't have my truck. Sent back to original location for a 10' truck instead of the 26' truck I had ordered, move took several hours longer due to multiple trips with smaller truck, cost me more to pay movers due to taking longer, lost an hour of my morning with the run around of not having the truck I ordered. I booked the truck near 20 days sooner and scheduled my movements and managing many things based on, but the picking up location changed suddenly which shocked me. The truck was clean but its engine was not strong as I expected. Merci.Mohsen F.

Around the truck and the parking lot were full of snow, with no attempt made to remove the snow from the area. It was difficult to back out the truck in the snow and I would not be surprised if some type of "fender bender" happened in the lot because of the mess. Just irresponsible on the team in the store for not addressing this so that customers would have a potential mishap with their own vehicle or the UHaul vehicle.Bradley D.

Two issues caused me to rate this location low: 1) I had ordered two furniture dollies, and my order had been confirmed. However when I arrived, I was told they only had one dolly and that if I needed two, I'd need to buy the second one. I declined. Instead of a second furniture dolly, they gave me an appliance dolly, which wasn't relevant. 2) When I started the cargo van, the dashboard indicated a problem with one of the tires. When I got out to check, one of the staff said that the indicator light was faulty and the tires were ok. In my view, the indicator light should have been fixed before the van was rented.George M.
I started the day with 7/8 of a tank of gas and anticipated approximately 70 kilometers usage. I returned the vehicle with a FULL tank of gas and did go over the kilometers slightly. Did I get charged for being over, YES. Did I get reimbursed for returning with too much gas, NO! Will not be using U-Haul again.Martin S.
Trying to talk to an actual person at this location was difficult. I ended up talking to the person who works at the waterdown location who helped me out. I was told I'd have an 8:30 pick up and your location changed it to 9 without calling me or contacting me at all. I waited for a half hour. Then when the young man arrived for work and saw I was waiting he didn't acknowledge me until 9:01 when he unlocked the doors. I explained my frustration and he had no customer service skills. If he didn't have to talk to me then he wouldn't have probably. Very much unsatisfied with the service overall.Maria C.

The experience overall was ok. The truck worked well, however, the CSR on pick up was not overly helpful. The truck lock did not work, so he worked to fix this issue but did not apologize for the issue and delay Thankfully, the CSR during drop off was helpful, kind, empathetic and redeemed my experiencedLaura H.
I have been repeatedly overcharged for my storage unit from the beginning of my account use until after I moved out. The first month promotion from Uhaul was never honoured. I have made numerous attempts to contact the Aldershot location, by phone and email and my calls were never returned over the whole 5 month period. I even waited on hold for an hour to contact Uhaul central Customer Service, they tried to get in touch with the Aldershot location, and couldn't get a reply by phone, then they sent an email to the location, and still the Aldershot location didn't reply to the message from Head Office Customer Service. The Aldershot location continues to charge me even after I moved out, despite my numerous emails advising them that I'd be moving out, and to stop charging me. They placed a lock on my unit, and never removed it even after I paid excessive extra charges. The lock remained in my unit long after my account was fully paid, which prevented me from moving out earlier resulting in several additional months of unnecessary storage costs. When I had paid for and arranged a moving service to move out of my storage unit, I couldn't access my storage unit for the moving company because the Aldershot still had a lock on my storage unit. This is the worst predatory business practices I have ever seen, especially during the pandemic, and with such a large International Company like Uhaul, this is completely unacceptable. Customers of Uhaul at the Aldershot location have been leaving very Negative Reviews of the terrible customer service and overcharges at Uhaul at Aldershot. I would like Uhaul Head Office to assist me with providing a refund for all of the amounts that have been Overcharged on my account by Uhaul Aldershot. Please have Uhaul Head Office contact me to resolve the unethical business practices of the Uhaul Aldershot location and their numerous overcharges on my account.
