The drop-off was also easy. Ramanpreet Kauer, the agent came out to help with the drop-off service soon after we arrived at the location. She did inspect the truck and gave us the all clear and informed us that a receipt would be sent later. She however did not tell us that there was extra charge for mileage and found that out later when we got the electronic receipt. I am not sure if the extra-mileage was due to U-Haul changing the drop-off location at the last minute. It would have been nice to have been informed of the extra charge ahead of time. There is zero chance I come back to this location ever again. The customer representatives do not care about what is going on. My invoice is incorrect due to their laziness and unwillingness to help customers. So far all the extra equipment I've tried to rent isn't available when I come to pick up the equipment and you do not receive notice of lack of availability. Avoid this location at all costs.Patrick C.

Horrible customer service, horribly maintained rental vehicles, and rude employees seeking to rake customers over the coals. Unprofessional overall and I will be sure to make sure no one I know goes to this location. Their money is better used and better spent elsewhere.Alexander S.
This was reservationn drop off location but uhaul changed it on me without notifying me. The attendant was able to correct this to avoid additional costs. Not sure why my location was changed but not impressed at the additional time required to correct this problem.Andr D.

My truck was disgustingly dirty... It has layers of dust in it and hasn't been clean I'm what looked like months. The engine light was on, the tire light was on and the charge engine oil light was on..... All things that can make someone feel pretty uncomfortable driving your trucks. I spoke to an employee when I returned it and he said I would get a discount and the assistant manager would call and give me my goal after it..... Needles to say, I never got a call nor the discount that I was offered. Horrible customer service and communication.Erin M.
My truck was not ready at 7:30AM as booked and I had to wait until 9AM for the location to open. When I phoned customer service at 7:45AM to find out why I wasn't set-up properly for 24/7 access they could not answer but did start my complaint claim. The call-in representative was excellent. The same cannot be said for the face to face service. When I could get my vehicle at 9AM and asked the assistant why my truck was not set-up properly she blamed me for not pre-registering but then acknowledged that I was 24/7 so maybe something happened. She did not care that I was inconvenienced and offered no apology. I won't use the Aldershot location again and would not recommend it to anyone else. MattMatthew O.
Trying to figure how much gas was used was difficult because we needed to hit the 1/2 tank. It would be easier to start with a full tank so we could just top to full on return. Otherwise everting was good.Ulo K.

The representative was competent but appeared tired and not interested. Did not take the initiative to transfer the reserved pads to the truck and failed to communicate that I was to do it myself. I had to drive back just to pick-up the pads on a very tight schedule.Dragos C.

Exceptional service from UHaul people on Plains Road, Aldershot. They hooked me up, cheerfully, and nine days later when I brought back the trailer, they unhitched it for me. Quite different from a few years ago when I had to do it all myself!Mark H.

We had a trailer hitch installed on our van. We booked online, indicating that we would wait for the vehicle. We were contacted twice to change the time of the installation, even though we explained that we were coming from out of town. When we got home and hooked up our trailer, we discovered that the wiring kit was installed backwards. When we signalled left, the right light blinked, and vice versa. Luckily we noticed before we hit the highway on our vacation, and we reversed the wires ourselves. Also, instead of a small cut for the hitch mount, they cut the plastic from the back of the wheel all the way to the back bumper. As a result, we were not at all pleased with our experience and would NOT recommend this location.Leah G.

I booked a 20' truck for my move two months in advance from Queensway Uhaul in Etobicoke. The reservation was confirmed and I even contacted the store location the morning before the move to make sure everything was ready to go. The representative I spoke with told me the truck was ready and we'd be all set for pickup on July 30 at 10AM. I was later contacted by Uhaul at 8:30PM on July 29 to let me know the 20' was in fact NOT available - instead offering a 15' truck for pickup in Burlington, no where near to where I lived. As a result of the smaller truck, we could not fit everything in one load. We filled up several friends and family vehicles, and still needed to make a second trip. The last minute change in truck was a massive inconvenience - both in pickup as well as cargo capacity. Uhaul offered a $50 credit and small reduction in mileage charge - a very nominal compensation for the inconvenience. Upon receiving my final invoice, the $50 credit was overlooked and so far yet to be applied. I find myself wasting even more time and energy now trying to get this resolved. The customer experience in this case was pitiful. My feeling is that Uhaul is incredibly disorganized with very poor communication and professionalism. I will not be using Uhaul for my next move.Stephen W.

Please use lightweight materials to build your trailers. They weigh more than the cargo capacity rating. Empty they use up more fuel than necessary.paul G.
We had originally scheduled a 26' truck through the uhaul site and were directed to pick up our truck at 3040 Trafalgar Road- Saturday Accounting Forum Inc. Upon arrival for our 10am pick up we were informed our truck was not there. No effort was made to retrieve the truck or to inform us prior to arrival that the truck had not arrived. Instead, the woman flipped us to the Burlington location on Mainway stating we would be able to get our truck there. Hopeful, we drove 25 minutes in traffic to the Mainway location where there was no truck available, the previous lady had simply flipped us there to get rid of us. Luckily, the folks (Jen and Tracy) were extremely helpful and secured a 26' truck for us at the Burlington Plains Road East location. Following them scheduling this truck for us, the women from the original booking called to state she had booked us a truck on Plains Road East, trying to take credit for the work Tracy had put in to secure us this vehicle. All in all we were kicked around to three separate locations and lost over 2 hours of time from our original 10am booking. This was an absolutely terrible ordeal and cost us time and money with hired moving help. We were fortunate to have the help of Jen and Tracy at the Mainway location otherwise we would have been out additional time and money and potentially be dealing with legal repercussions because the 30th was our scheduled closing and move out date from our home. Uhaul states that our booking is guaranteed but absolutely no effort was made to guarantee our initial booking or to inform us that the truck we were scheduled to pick up was not available. We will never be using your services again as this has caused us so much undue stress that it is simply not worth it. There should be actions taken to discipline Saturday Accounting Forum Inc. and we feel we should be reimbursed for the mileage we were required to drive to pick up another vehicle. Beyond that, even having to pay for the services after this experience is maddening, as we do not feel it is deserved after what we were put through. When you reserve a dolly and then being told sorry first come first serve? Sorry that's happened twice now. Not impressed at all. When you male a reservation for something you kind of expect it to be available. You don't go to a restaurant where you make a reservation and they never tell you sorry it's first come first serve. You can't have your reservation. So when I reserve something I was expecting it to be available.Terry B.

To Whom it may concern, As you are aware, your technician disrupted my 2010 Acura MDX signal lights system. Per your instruction, I made an appointment with Burlington Acura to diagnose the problem. Please note that the vehicle is unsafe because the signals are not working. Burlington Acura needs first to diagnose the problem before they can fix it. The cost for the diagnostics is $185 plus taxes. Please be informed about the cost and that I may need to rent a vehicle until the issue is resolved. Customer service was terrible. Staff unfriendly and not helpful. Had to wait both when we picked up and dropped off even though staff were available. When I originally booked online, my package included 200 Kms for a set fee ($109) and then $0,2 above 200. When I picked up the truck, it only included 150 kms and then bill says 149 kms included. Not very reliable or consistent. Very disappointed, specifically in billing and customer service.Jill K.

My experience was great until I emptied my unit I called to get information and was told that I did not wait till the end of my pay period and my account would be adjusted and pro rated for the time I used. However when I tried to settle my account I was told that customers have been told that but it was not what was on his computer and he would look into it and get back to me As of today I have heard nothing and I have not received a credit Can you please rectify? Staff tried to lie and say or storage booking didn't exist and that all the storage units were occupied. After minutes of explaining we indeed did book, randomly there was a unit available for us... I have been repeatedly overcharged for my storage unit from the beginning of my account use until after I moved out. The first month promotion from Uhaul was never honoured. I have made numerous attempts to contact the Aldershot location, by phone and email and my calls were never returned over the whole 5 month period. I even waited on hold for an hour to contact Uhaul central Customer Service, they tried to get in touch with the Aldershot location, and couldn't get a reply by phone, then they sent an email to the location, and still the Aldershot location didn't reply to the message from Head Office Customer Service. The Aldershot location continues to charge me even after I moved out, despite my numerous emails advising them that I'd be moving out, and to stop charging me. They placed a lock on my unit, and never removed it even after I paid excessive extra charges. The lock remained in my unit long after my account was fully paid, which prevented me from moving out earlier resulting in several additional months of unnecessary storage costs. When I had paid for and arranged a moving service to move out of my storage unit, I couldn't access my storage unit for the moving company because the Aldershot still had a lock on my storage unit. This is the worst predatory business practices I have ever seen, especially during the pandemic, and with such a large International Company like Uhaul, this is completely unacceptable. Customers of Uhaul at the Aldershot location have been leaving very Negative Reviews of the terrible customer service and overcharges at Uhaul at Aldershot. I would like Uhaul Head Office to assist me with providing a refund for all of the amounts that have been Overcharged on my account by Uhaul Aldershot. Please have Uhaul Head Office contact me to resolve the unethical business practices of the Uhaul Aldershot location and their numerous overcharges on my account.
