TERRIBLE experience. I rented my UHaul for my business to move some exercise equipment, and I only had the truck for 2 hours...even though my rental time was for the whole day. I returned it, and ran in to see if there was anything else needed from me, and the guy told me I was good to go. An hour or so later I got my final invoice & it showed I had driven 94 miles, when there is NO WAY I went more than 20 miles!!! They charged my card, and when I went down there to talk with them (because I couldn't reach them on the phone), the lady said that unless I took a picture of the mileage, there was no way to prove it!!! Super rude, zero customer service etiquette, and on top of it, they are completely lying or wrote down the wrong mileage. I have a call into the manager, but have yet to hear back. Very upset, and will NOT return there ever again.

This location has gone from bad to worse. Once you get a vehicle and get away from them it’s a good experience, but dealing with their staff is a bad experience: they are rude, short tempered with their customers and have no problem keeping their customers on hold for ten minutes or more. I’ve chosen, for future moves, to hire someone who has a moving van to do the work. Cost more but better experience.

Customers should not have to go through the booking process more than once. I had to do this 3 different times with this rental! I’ve never had to do that before! Store my info & eliminate call centers if the reservation is going to have to be redone! Also eliminate the need for a receipt!

I didnt realize I was 13 minutes late returning the truck until I got my final bill via email. I would have kept it another day if I knew I was paying for an extra day. Next time I will wait to be checked out. The lot attendant told me not to wait they would email me.

Apparently several people had called in so the guy who was there was overwhelmed by customers & so I had to wait for half an hour for my trailer, & dig it out from behind a small snow bank myself. I am very familiar with hooking up the 4x8 trailer safely, have rented it several times before. It would be nice if U-Haul allowed repeat customers to hook up their trailers on their own after initially demonstrating they can do it properly. That way, in case they are busy or short-staffed, repeat customers who rent the trailer often can get it hooked up & be on their way, & not have to wait for half an hour. Thank-you!

The experience went well and the gentleman that helped me the morning of was very helpful and informative. The areas where it needs improvement is the night crew the night before. I planned to pick it up the night before(Friday 7pm) for saturday morning but i couldnt because i forgot my drivers license (that is my fault). Where it comes to play is that they did not relay the message and change my reservation to the next morning at 7am. So the morning crew scrambled a uhaul for me that luckily had returned 10 minutes prior to my arrival around 745am. Those guys are the true heroes in my situation. Just be more communicative amongst your peers. That is all. My experience dropping off was great, short and sweet. overall experience was excellent minus the little appt mishap. Had they not had a uhaul for me the morning of, the survey would be a different experience :)

Horrible experience in dropping off my rental equipment. I pulled into the yard as part of a line of customers trying to return equipment. There was a yardman standing at the entrance screaming cuss words at the top of his lungs. The CSR behind the desk told me there would be at least an hour delay in getting my trailer unhooked and checked in because there were only two yardmen. There was an unhooked trailer blocking the equipment return area. I finally disconnected the trailer from my vehicle and left it where it where I had stopped in the yard and drove off. By far a horrible experience.

When I dropped off my uhaul they had told me that the power steering went out. I'm an never going to drive a uhaul again because of it. Something terrible could have happened. I feel as I'd I should get a refund.

The mobile checkout process is HORRIBLE. I rented a uhaul twice within a week and had problems both times with it. When I would make it to step 3 it would reset and I would have to do it all over again. Over and over and over. Get my gest? Imagine being there late at night trying to go through this process and it not work. Very frustrating and uncomfortable being a female with a concern for safety. I wanted to get it done quickly but was not able too. If your hours dont accommodate late drop off the alternate option should not be that discouraging to use or the option of leaving the vehicle without that shouldn't require an extra charge. Highly disappointed. The way technology is now, uhaul is lacking. An improvement in that would be great.

Good morning about their services and their rate. A charge somebody else's card on the account. Even after I explained That my girlfriend rented the first two days. They still charged her card even though I had a new card. I wanted to put down or come in to pay cash. They had a lot of hidden fees. And didn't explain everything completely. The workers how did attitudes and were just rude.

The employees in the afternoon on Tuesday 2/18 were unhelpful unhappy to be there complaining about their jobs. And left me another standing there I was there for half an hour waiting to buy five boxes and a roll of tape. Yes they were unknowledgeable about the systems and not able to help the people that were ahead of us in line. Yes when I drop the truck off today I gave it to seem like he had been smoking weed all day long. All the employees were complaining about management and scheduling difficulties. Management definitely needs to be more involved in the day-to-day activities.

Great fast in and out. Fast return. Very easy and pleasant. I believe cost is fair. Only improvements I can recommend is that the truck smelled heavily like cigarette smoke. Also I used the chart to put gas back into the truck. I actually put 2 gallons more than it recommended, and I only drove the truck across town to deliver a table. I was still charged for the gas. I didn’t realize it until I had left and I received the email. Since I put kore than required back in and got charged again it made my rental significantly more expensive. If I rent again I will not put fuel in after using.

I disagree with the fuel charge, I did fuel and it looked half to me, I think I got cheated on the fuel charge.

Staff were friendly and check out was quick. The issue was just leaving the truck with the attendant and not finalizing. After leaving they determined I didn't fill up the truck to "where it was before". I definitely had put in the recommended 3 gallons of gas for the 15 miles I drove, had taken a picture of the gas gauge before I took the truck and when I returned, and kept the gas receipt. When I received the bill I had been charged an extra $13 for 3 gallons of gas. When I called, their only reponse was "you have to fill it up to where it was" I did do that!!!!! Despite saying I had photos and receipts the response continue to be "it has to be filled up to where it was." News flash, when your dealing with a 57 gallon gas tank, drive 15 miles and put in 3 gallons of gas, there's is definitely wiggle room on where the gauge and lines fall, exactly why I took photos and kept the receipt. Do not leave the premises until you finalize everything, they will definitely use every opportunity to take advantage of you with absolutely no customer service after the fact.

The girl at the counter was patient and very knowledgeable about all products and services. Very efficient and tried to go as quickly as she could, servicing the long line by herself.

Can have more than one person doing check in and outs. The parking was a cluster fuck couldn't even leave after waiting in line for 30 min cuz the guys had trucks parked Infront of my car. They are some rough guys that aren't very presentable and when I asked them to please move I got blown off.

I never recieved my order number. I was told I could return a pickup truck after hours by using their app or their website, but whenever I put the contract number into it it kept saying it could not add it to my account or find it at all, so I was charged an extra 20$ despite leaving the vehicle and keys at the location same day 15 minutes after they close. I'll choose somewhere local next time, Uhaul needs to get it together.

I don’t like the UHaul policy that you call the secondary contact person that we provide to you. You apparently also have a policy of not being able to let me know ahead of time (before I choose this contact person) that you will be immediately calling whomever I chose as my backup reference. You called my mom on the east coast at 830pm EST. That’s not cool. I gave you my license, credit card and address. I left my car in the parking lot. There’s no need for calling our significant people, employers, etc. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. (Darn-it, there’s nowhere else to go in Anchorage AK)

I'm not sure but I had scheduled a 7am pickup and my vehicle was not started or warmed up, while others seemed to be started. It may have been started prior to my arrival but wasn't on long enough to defrost front window. The cardboard was still on the inside.

$54 dollars, plus they charge me an extra five dollars for a dirt Arizona box truck ripped seats & back as it stunk like garbage. And I wanted a truck. But you need a credit card instead of a bank card and he just put me in this, but it worked.

I think that I was over charged for gas. When I picked up the van on Saturday, I was told that the beginning level of gas isn't always what their records indicate, because they have to run the vehicles everyday in the cold Alaskan winters. I was told if it's less, take a picture of it. Sure enough, the records showed that there should have been 1/2 tank of gas, but it was at 3/8 so I took a pic using my cellphone camera. I drove the van 32 miles, and filled the van with 5 gallons of gas, so when I turned it in, the gas gauge was just below 1/2 tank - more than when I had picked it up. I told the check in guy outside what had transpired, and showed him the before pic, as well as my gas receipt. He called inside to see why it showed that I owed $4.50 for gas, and the woman there said I was supposed to upload the photo to an online Uhaul site - and there was nothing else to do except I needed to pay the $4.50 or go get the gas. I believe I'm due a refund of ar least $4.50. In the future, it would be useful for your employees to more clearly explain the photo procedures. The woman should have been more helpful, too, by at least omitting the extra gas charge after hearing what happened and seeing my pic and gas receipt. # # #

It has been at least a few years since I last visited the Old Seward location, and I didn't really have a good experience there overall. I think there were long lines, and it took a long time to go through the rental process. Today, was a HUGE improvement! I called first to see if there was a cargo van available, and an extremely pleasant and helpful woman made a reservation for me. Then I was able to check in online (another new feature, I think), and when I went to pick up my van, I was amazed by how quickly everything went. The young man who helped me was very pleasant and helpful, too. It was a great experience today, and I appreciated everyone's helpfulness and kindness and the improved processes. Thank you!

Your people were very good on the phone and in person, however the truck made a loud grinding noise when I started driving it and got louder as I drove. I suspect there is a problem with the drive train that should have been determined during a test drive of the vehicle.

Customer service not a good fit for your company. Truck was dirty on outside. Outside return box was no working and was charged for after hours service. I was warned by taxi driver that your business has a reputation of adding up charges. The truck was as clean on the inside as the outside when I returned as when I received the truck.

make sure if they are going to do an after hours drop that they open the uhaul app and have contract in there PRIOR to leaving store otherwise it IS NOT straight forward. and although we had a new pickup with only 1600 miles it ran very ruff... It looked brand new but ran poorly... it did the job I was just surprised because it was new... staff were great friendly and helpfyull

The outside door 1008 would never close we properly. The ledge going outside was so damaged that every load on a cart in or out dumped my stuff. It was incredibly frustrating.
