I understand the importance of driving a higher average ticket but the push to buy the tacked-on insurance in addition to all the other add-ons feels, well, pushy. I was asked about it several times when placing a reservation online, again in person when picking up the vehicle at the counter and again when verifying the condition of it outside. I like UHaul and will probably return when I need a truck but take it easy with the insurance!

Even with COVID on our minds U-haul really made life easier. Just left keys in as advised which was super easy. Thanks
This location alwasy gives good service
First, I waited in line for 20-30 min since there was not enough agents. Then again for over 30 min as the tech struggled to wire the trailer that had not been adequately QC'd. I'm not a picky person, but when I suggested to the asst mgr that she should offer me some sort of compensation, her only offer after an hour of waiting was to cancel the order. I had dropped over $2400 the last couple weeks and Uhaul should treat customers better than that.
There is only one person working the counter which means lots of waiting in line. Agent also was wearing mask below his nose, so how does that keep the customer safe?

I had a major issue during the weekend to which the General Manager thoroughly looked into it and professionally researched my issue with integrity and empathy. I'm grateful Mr. Womack and will recommend you personally.
I reserved a truck to move for 12pm then changed it to 12:30 due to not getting off on time and when I arrived I waited for 45 minutes and didn't get a $50 refund but got charged an extra $40 .... why make a reservation if a truck wasn't available at this location and waiting 45 minutes without notice ?
When I got the truck home I had to clean it the water came out black, there was glitter all over the dash and no one offer to walk around the truck and inspect it with me. All important items especially with the times we are living in right now
Ordered online and had to wait in line for almost an hour because the employee who was supposed to set aside the keys didn't the night before. The one employee working to check out vehicles felt apathetic. He also made sure to tell a patron that he and his church were renters to the lot near by and it wasn't his problem if their parking lot was blocked. He didn't explain the check-in process leaving me to wait in line again only to be told to leave the keys in the vehicle. All around this process took longer than I actually needed the truck for!
They donvanswerbthe phones during the day and had multiple reservation mix ups. And depending on who answers the phone thy may give you the wrong information.
Staff was not attending to customers. The were inconsiderate and rude at times. I have always had good experiences before but will look for another service next time.
Usually the service sucks and you wait forever for service this was the only time that I have used them that the service was good. I have had to use Uhaul 3 times in the last year.
There was no one in the office when I got there for 5 minutes.
The only people who were nice and friendly were Steve and jazmin. The other staff we had contact with were rude and I. A rush to get people out of their way!

i didnt get the dolly i ordered, truck was not ready at when i was suppose to pick it up took almost an hour to get it, the truck was filthy dirty, was not happy, at all & they said gas was at 1/2 tank it was not it was about 3/4 the way to half tank, they still charged me for the dolly i called the 800 # # told them because i called them repeatedly & got no answet

It wasn't the service at the U-Haul place in anchorage, it was the customer service during checkin process vÃa the website. Patricia was verifying and in the process in approving my rental when she failed to contact my alternate number. She said that the call failed and that I needed another alternative number, instead of waiting for my response, she fucking canceled the alternate number and my texting response. My wife was in the shower and that b$$&h had the audacity to tell me she waited, like a fucking second, didn't wait for my response, and forced me to setup another alternative number! My wife called back your number and verified my information, but I couldn't continue because I had to give another contact number. I will never use your website service again! I'll support my local next time!
The person who brings out the U-hauls and collects them is extremely rude and aggressive. Upon arrival he came flying around the corner to the pick up point and then threw the back of it open so violently that the door actually got stuck and him and another attendant had to fix it before departure. He didn't speak a word to me and at first I wasn't even sure if that was the U-haul for me or not. The photos that were texted to be showed the vehicle in perfect condition yet it was not so I uploaded many photos of the deficiencies prior to departure. Upon returning the U-haul I had the same guy (didn't catch his name but he is a black guy maybe in his 30s at the old Seward highway location) I rented on the 26th of July 2020 around 1pm and returned on the 1st of August 2020 around 1215 if you would like to check the cameras. Upon returning he aggressively came up to the window and just said â€œdo you need a copy of your receipt â€œ before I could respond he said it again with more hostility. I responded yes and was about to ask if it could be emailed But didn't get the chance when he aggressively said you gotta go inside (I did but my receipt was emailed as well so again I could have avoided going inside) anyways he proceeded to the back but him getting ahead of himself forgot to grab the keys from me so he had to come back to the cab where I was and I gave it to him and then he just walked off. He wasn't wearing a mask either. Interacting with him alone makes me want to seek truck rentals elsewhere from now on. There was a dolly in the back of the truck but since I got NO assistance when I picked up the truck I wasn't aware that I would be charged daily if we open the zip tie. We opened it but ended up not having to use it at all. This location was a bad experience especially because of the specific attendant. I wonder if there is something U-Haul could do? I booked a ten foot truck for four hours. I rushed to have the truck back in three as to avoid after hours drop off. The truck was back ten minutes before close. I followed all directions of the office employee who was still working... as they were still open.... I received my receipt via email saying that I had officially dropped the truck off two days after I actually had. I was charged for extra days and an after hours drop off fee. I would not recommend this location to my worst enemy.
Make sure all the lights are working case some time we haul at night and last time we rent the big uhaul it wasn't clean or wipe down at all . But other then that we're thankful to have you guys and appreciated
