this place is horrible. the staff are rude and completely not helpful. they just spend their time ignoring customers and hanging out and talking to each other. communication is non-existent. after thinking my payments were automatically being taken, come to find out that my items were sold in an auction following ZERO communication. so, you sold a sick woman with cancer's childhood possessions from her dead family at an auction without contacting her. nice job you disgusting people. oh, but they did contact me before selling my stuff to inform me that all of my belonging were destroyed in a flood. make sense of that.Corine A. | Expérience générale

When a customer uses your app for 24/7 truck share don't force them to wait for the location to open. Make sure the truck they are renting had working wipers and the steering linkage is not so shot that it is a constant battle to keep the trunk in a lane of the road. The manager was able to make sure I got out of there with a truck to do my move.TODD D.

I reserved a A pickup truck and trailer. When i arrived, as soon as i got there i was asked my age. I told the lady my age. The lady explained to me that i had to be 30 years old to rent what i already reserved online. Mind you this is not my first time at this location nor have i ever met this lady. I had To call uhal for them to reschedule me somewhere else. They explained how i needed To only be 18 years old. I went back their told them and they gave me the truck with a attitude. Locaton great. Staff not so good. Man behind desk was super nice, but gave wrong information. He said I'd get refunded for unopened bags of blankets. He said my credit will come on email with my gas credit. The girl who cleaned trucks was rude and not wanting to give time of day. She didn't stop what she was doing to talk with us and make us feel welcome with our questions. She gave me a nasty stare like she wanted to scare me away. She answered, but as if she was very annoyed. Every question asked you could tell she was not happy. It was like trying to pry out information. I think we may have interrupted her conversation with whoever was hanging out with her in his own truck parked next to her with his window open chatting with her while she was cleaning the truck in front of us. Because of her, I wouldn't want to go back to this location. Only reason to go back would be convenience of location.Christine P.

It was a horrible Uhaul experience. I originally reserved a 10 foot at 120 th ave 99 cent store location in queens NY. Service was horrible, they did not have the truck. I reserved, they didn't even try to help me book another. I Called Uhaul, on hold for over an hour, went to 3 different locations. No one had a truck. Had to go to location in another borough which was the Jericho location. Finally got a truck but did not have the two hand trucks I also reserved. I had movers on stand by that I had to pay. It was a horrible experience. Uhaul needs to do better.KIM M.
Scheduled a trailer rental for 11/1/2021, at 7: 00 am, from the Bellerose location . No one showed up until 8:30 am. Finial had my trailer at 9:00 am over 2 hours late. ( Had a 8 hour ride in front of me) Returned the trailer on 11/1/2021 at 7:15 pm to the same location. There were two employees in the store, thru the crack in the door they said they were closed and made no effort to help me return the trailer. I dropped the trailer myself in front of the building and left. I don't know how U-Haul is still in business. Why do you rent trailers if you don't consider the customers with any value? This experience shows a complete lack of integrity by your employees. There is no leadership or supervision. Its not my job to manage your business. When you call customer service it takes them a Â½ hour to pickup the phone, then they are completely useless as well. I have never seen such a complete breakdown with such a large size company. FYI, there were 5 other customers in front of the building this morning at 7:00 am besides me.Robert N.

I reserved a van a week in advance. However, when I got there, David told me that van wasn't available (either because they lost the key or because one of the tires had a problem). The truck had about 80k miles which I understand. But buttons felt loose steering wheel was beat up as well as the driver side seats. But it got the job down drove 300 miles back and fourth.Joel M.

Entered at 1105am on 10/23/21. ONLY (1) female working. She was smoking weed behind my truck as she had heavy odor. She told me my truck had No Gas and theres no Staff so she cant leave to fill it up. She made me wait til 1155am hours. I tried to self-inspect my vehicle and the website said the Link Expired. Thats how long she took to give me my rental. Check cameras. I waited like an asshole for 50min so she can pass a Mop in the floor in 5 seconds. She told me dont worry about the self inspection, when u return the truck - hopefully shes not there - just tell them to Log You In. I returned the car to Mr. Lawrence at 710pm and could not self inspect the car a because i wasnt send the link in the morning because she didnt know to resend me the link. Hands down the most unprofessional experience i have ever had with U-Haul. Check my record. This should be my 5th time. A manager needs to he accountable and reprimanded. I was incorrectly charged for fuel when I returned the vehicle with more than what I used for the trip. I was charged for 8 gallons for a 24mile trip! and a 30 $surcharge on top of that because they said I returned it with less than 1/4 tank, which was not true!. Good thing I kept the gas receipt. Location was great. Convenient location. Staff was courteous and attentive. Bathroom was super clean. Only drawback is that we could not do a one way trip. Big bummer! The access code to the building never worked. Showed up on a Sunday evening before 10pm and could not gain access. Customer service did not help how to mention the 60 min wait time to even speak with someone. Was also unable to use mobile device to return truck after hours as it would not recognize any number or email linked to rental. The woman leading the show was amazing. She was faced with at least 6 sets of customers at a time the entire time I was there, and she handled them all swiftly, efficiently, with care and attention to detail. That being said, give her more office staff!! As a manager myself, I'd hate to be the lone office support on duty on such a busy day!
