There seems to be a disconnect between the booking/sales department and the location staff. I was told on the phone during reservation that I could set up additional days after my initial booking. When I got to the location I was informed otherwise. The real problem was the lack in customer service and blatantly rude staff. I was accused of not understanding what I reserved and told if I really wanted multiple days I should of reserved the truck weeks in advance. That would be fine if I was informed any of this on the sales call. The manager when on to say he was nervous to rent me the truck because he thought I wouldn't bring it back. The customer service reps all started barking at me at once when I informed them I was giving bad info the phone. Zero customer service and rude unwarranted attitudes from all staff including the manager on shift. I left feeling very disrespected.

I completed the online check in but no one was outside to complete the process. I still had to go inside and wait 20 minutes while they pulled up my order and had me swipe my credit card?? This was all done online to avert this unnecessary COVID risk!!! Frustrating as all!!!

The team at this location was incredibly helpful. Really nice to talk to but also got us on our way really quick. When booking, we also had a great experience. With a low amount of vehicles, the representative (Rachel) was able to put in extra time to find us an available 20 ft. moving truck. Aces across the board especially during times like these.

The van was clean but not very clean. The windshield was very dirty and couldn't see the road clearly especially in the direction of the sun. Wipers did not help to clean it.

The truck was easy to find and it was ready to go. However, the dolly I rented was not included in the cargo area thus paid $7 for no dolly during my move. Everything else with the truck went well. I also kept getting charged extra for the rental from the app. When picking up, the app needed to charge me an extra $12. Then upon returning I was again charged another $20. I pre-paid $141 which included an estimated 50 miles. Not sure what's happening there.

Would be nice to know all components of the pricing upfront. For example, fuel costs weren't included in my original quote/charge when I picked up the van. The total quoted initially was much lower than the actual charge ended up being, although the number of miles driven was around the same as what was estimated.

The ramp into the facility can be a little challenging with a trailer, but that's more to do with where the city put street parking and designed the ramp. The facility itself was excellent

So I reserved a one way special fare of $385 from pacific blvd, San Mateo at 7 am for September 28th. Two days before my expected reserved spot and allotted time I was told I was changed time to 11::30 am in Sunnyvale. Without a car to get there this was a major inconvenience plus the later time was not so great either . I was told time and location are not guaranteed then my response is what's the point of making a reservation. Then to make it worse I was in Sunnyvale until 5 pm because customer did not return truck and didn't answer their phone. That's fine but someone should have given me a suggestion of doing the round trip . All of these major inconveniences they only gave me a $50 credit. I felt this was so inadequate!! I took three days off from a brand new job to do this and made a risk by doing the r/t to Reno and back in one day, arriving back in San Mateo in the middle of the night. I am very disappointed and this is the third time I've had problems with you all. I'm not sure if I will use your services again . I gave you a second chance and you failed me.

I wanted to extend my rental, but was told the truck is needed for the next renter the next day. I didn't think much of it, but when I came back to by a lock, the same cashier told the customer in front of me that there will be the same kind of truck the next day and was scheduling for pickup. If there was another truck available, couldn't they have extended mine when I asked first? Otherwise, my experience was nothing special and will recommend this place due to cleanliness.

I reserved 2 furniture dollies. Upon picking up vehicle I was told not sure why they let you do that we don't have them. They offered to sell me dollies from the store. I said this may delay the vehicle return. At which point I was told we will charge you another day. My furniture received several scratches I believe could've been prevented with the use of the dollies.

this is the best place in the bay area to rent a uhaul. I have lived here for 13 years and Belmont location is the most professional, easy and fast. Never had a problem at the Belmont location. So I always go there.

Uhaul is such a rip off company. They didn't honor the price quoted to me on the phone at the time of reservation. Tank was only 7/8 full and they made no adjustments even though I returned a full tank. I specifically asked if there were surcharges on bridge tolls and was told no. I get their bill for bridge tolls and they added an “admin fee”. They make money ripping customers off.

I tried the mobile pick up and it was TERRIBLE. When I got the vehicle number and and found the van, there was no key. The van was clean on the surface but judging by the dust on the dash it is clear that it has not been cleaned in while. During COVID times UHaul should make sure their vehicles are cleaned better.

I had a 11am reservation and did the online check in to save time only to get there and the van I reserved wasn't available. The employee said they had to program the key and would take 30 mins and they would call or text when it's ready. I went and killed time at McDonald's. 45 mins later I decide to check on the status and it's clear he forgot about me because he said the key was still being programmed but then his coworker simply grabbed the key off the wall. There was no sense of urgency nor respect for my time. I would have kept waiting.

Did mobile drop off and it worked well. Had to figure out how to change my settings on my phone to share my location and that was a challenge. Providing a link to apple or android instructions for how to change that would be helpful but otherwise great experience.

i rented Uhaul storage since 2009 and moved out 2 days ago. Half of my valuable stuffs damaged with water cuz of broken pipe Uhaul failed to informed me and just noticed it few months ago.
