When trying to return the truck, we were not able to input the correct mileage during off hours checkout/vehicle drop off. So I believe we were over charged. In general, I thought the service was very good and very helpful. It was nice to have access to a Ubox and getting it dropped off with such short notice. Everything showed up within the windows of time agreed upon, and it was simple enough to call Uhaul to change the delivery time when our schedule changed. It really made the logistics of our move easier, and all our stuff showed up in the same condition in which we'd packed it. As far as things I would like to see addressed, my UBox arrived at my move-out location with a broken lower, door side joint which made closing the the box, getting the hasp to barely fit, and get a lock on extremely frustrating. Then, when my box arrived at its final destination, something had happened to the the vinyl covering, because it no longer had all the velcro attachment points for holding the large, unwieldy flap up and out of the way. In addition to that, the driver really didn't want entertain putting my UBox exactly where I wanted it, instead insisting on putting it somewhere 'good enough', which again, given the broken front joint, now made re- closing the door impossible. Silver-lining was that it just forced me to empty the box in one-fell-swoop and be done with my move, but really, it defeated the point of being able to securely lock the door and left a blemish on our otherwise great experience.

The Blaine MN supervisor was extremely rude. She was so bad, that I may never use Uhaul again. Secondly, each time I called re the service I was on hold for 40+ minutes just to talk to a real person. Third: The Redding, California employees were very accommodating & pleasant!

Appreciated the use of the 26' truck and the price was very good. On the negative side: 1) the staff answering the phone was not helpful in making the original reservation; 2) the lady checking me out with the truck DID NOT give proper instructions regarding checking certain features BEFORE I left the UHaul lot. I left the lot without doing anything and when I got to our house, a text came that said I had to do a number of things before using the truck. The text time ran out so that I could not do as was requested. The red Oil light was on and my wife had to spend 40 minutes on the phone trying to get instructions on what to do about that. I had to go buy oil to add to the truck. It was very stressful way to start the loading of the truck. 3) The same lady was on duty when I returned the truck and she was totally not interested in her mistake and didn't even apologize - just shrugged her shoulders. Note: The truck worked fine but was 1 quart low on oil which is NOT a good thing. Suggest that UHaul staff be instructed in improved communication and being more customer oriented!! Good grief, not even an apology.

You really want to charge $1.19 per mile and make us pay for the gas? What is that? It's overly expensive. The truck was old and felt like it was going to fall apart. If I'm paying $1.19 per mile I should be in a newer truck that drives well, not an old and loud inefficient piece of crap. Everything about your business is great but your price for what customers are getting is ridiculous.

My 24hr access didn't seem to ever work the last 3 month which made it impossible for me many times. Moving out could have been done on time had my gate access card worked. Very difficult to get moved out of storage in a timely manner when the best time to move is evening / nite time hours and you can't get in to your unit. But over all the last 6 years that I had my unit were great.

Customer service was horrible. I was accused of running the truck through a drive thru and damaging. When I told them I didn't not go thorough any drive thrus or damage the truck in any way I was told they had my license plate. There was damage on the truck that was later found to be on the truck when I left the lot. I waited outside while your employees went in to confirm with the restaurant that it was me. Which of course it wasn't. I waited for 15 to 20 min getting increasingly more upset. I had no idea what the hell was happening as I knew I didn't do what I was being accused of. Finally on of them return and started get milage and I am not sure what from the truck. He was on the phone with what I assumed was his manager. I over heard her telling him that I had signed off on the truck so it was my responsibility. I finally had to ask him what happened with the drive thur. He then told me that it was me because the damage didn't line up. So they apparently didn't have the licenses plate? Why would I be told that? I have never been in a scarier more intimidating situation when I had done nothing wrong. As It turned out the damage on the truck was from the previous customers and was seen on video. To my fault I missed it. It was at the top of the truck. It was also missed by who ever inspected it before I was given the truck. I will not be using this Uhaul again.

My reservation had already been transferred twice and then a store manager or owner flat out told me they wouldn't rent to us for a slightly extended time despite my willingness to pay a late fee. Not only did I spend money on a truck I didn't get I had to wait another five hours so I wouldn't go beyond 24 hours. The rest of the staff was very nice and amicable; the other person, very abrasive and felt unwelcome.

Terrible service. Terribly managed. Looking at Google reviews I must have found out too late that the manager of this location is from another universe. You don't need me, one person, to tell the world here that this Blaine MN location is likely the black sheep of the U-Haul fleet, but I'll add to the fire as just another 1 star review for a waste of time, money, and service. I will refer family and friends and anyone else I come into contact with to never do business with this location. Further, I just saw I was charged $25 for cleaning out a truck I broom swept. I didn't carry anything in the cab so there was nothing there. I will take pleasure in the day that this location shuts its doors or goes through an ownership change at the force of the parent company.

Customer service was absolutely awful. People were so rude. It was the worst experience we have ever had. They didn't care about us or our future. They were just there to collect a check and we were just other person they wish they didn't have to be with. I will NEVER use uhaul again. I even tried to talk to a manager and was told there isn't on I can talk to. We deserve money back for having to worry about the truck breaking down because the pressure light was on. It's was awful and we were forced to rent further away than we reserved and had to pay more mileage because of it. It's a complete rip off.

At first, I was refused service because I was placed on a "do-not-rent list" due to having returned a truck 3 hours late a month ago. I was never informed of this until after I had already paid and went to the store to pick up my truck. I had to argue with a woman about being able to take the truck at all. A month ago, this same woman also threatened to call the police on me because I was going to return a truck 3 hours late. If her behavior with me is indicative of how she acts with a typical customer, she is almost certainly losing you a good amount of money. I would never use this location again, solely because of her.

It's a hard thing to fix but we were very disappointed to find that the 6 foot wide trailer had a 4 foot wide entrance/gate. We had to have our tow-behind lawnmower rigged up with chains on bobcat forks and then lowered into the trailer when we picked it up from the service place. It makes no sense to be 6 foot wide with an opening that small. Huge design flaw. Other than that, excellent trailer with no shortage of tie down points and we loved all the side steps. Definitely built with safety in mind.

The staff was only minimally responsive to my needs. The first time I walked into the lobby I was the only customer and there were four staff members sitting behind the desk and they all seemed like they were waiting for someone else to offer to help me.

Was made to wait 10 minutes on arrival with no one there. Staff was inattentive and uninformative. Description was for a 6X12 trailer with gate, did not indicate opening was 5 feet wide. Had to lift items over side of trailer anyway. No indication of return time was given. Was charged extra full day rate without notice for returning 3 hours "late". Will leave negative reviews on other sites.

The staff was great; always friendly and helpful. We had three units for approx 9 months; spanning summer through spring. We were storing all our personal belonging from our home after we sold our home and were looking for a new one. All three units were outside. Unit One's plastic sheeting along the ceiling was 'flaking' and left everything in that unit extremely dirty. Unit Two had water on the floor at one point. We are assuming from the ceiling?? It caused an excess of humidity which ruined several items and required lots and lots of extra cleaning. For example, I had a Rock Salt lamp that sweated and left a salt residue all over the box it was in. Premium boxes that were supposed to last for several moves, caved in on themselves due to the humidity resulting in boxes we couldn't restack when moving, and damaged items. Unit Three had mice issues. Everything had to be sanitized; they climbed into the holes that you use to carry the boxes and had feces in 95% of the boxes. This unit housed all of our kitchen items, so probably had food smells which I'm sure attracted them as well. I spent weeks sanitizing every item I could, and threw away what I couldn't... that included linens, kitchen electronics, furniture, etc. We lost a lot of things. One thing to note is this unit is on the outside of the property which is next to a tree line, so we are assuming that is why we had issues with that one. We opted to go with the outside units because we wanted to save money. We have never used storage before and thought it would be fine. We were wrong. If we have to move again, we would never consider this as a viable option. That being said, the staff was great and very helpful.
