I had trouble finding and reserving a motorcycle trailer on the web site. I drove to the location and reserved it in person. This worked out for me because I made sure my hitch and ball were the right height and size for the trailer. I also was able to check and see if the lights were operational. The attendant had to clean some corrosion off my plug to get it to work. When I got home I electrical contact cleaner on the plug to finish the job. In the morning I picked up the trailer and everything went smoothly. I did notice there wasn’t a spare tire on the trailer.

Check out process was not great, I had to pull out the truck from a line of others, and no one did a walk around with me. By the time I got the text for the damage check I was already driving. When returning the truck the systems were down so they could not check me back in on the spot.

U-box is the worst service I have ever experienced. Entire system is defective. U-haul hires the delivering companies to carry container. Either U-haul operator center and your local U-haul store do not communicate with delivering company. Therefore, it is very difficult to know when your container will arrive. Operators give you false information, since they have no idea what delivering companies do. U-haul says they will refund $50/day if they delay. However, everyone said to me like "Delivering company delayed, so it is not our responsibility". I still have not received refund yet. Another thing that depressed me is they charged shipping cost again when they brought my container from local U-haul store to my new home (about $90). I think that I had not heard of that cost. When my container arrived, it was clear that forklift had penetrated my container. And they did not come back on time to pick up empty container. I will never have business with U-haul.

My left tail light didn't work after leaving the facility. I returned and it was promptly fixed by a pleasant employee who apologized to me.. When I got home my husband told me we had paid for the ball hitch but didn't receive it. He called and they said they forgot to give it to us and we could pick it up tomorrow. I don't have much confidence that the rest of the work we paid for was done correctly and would not recommend this facility.

Get rid of the manager. She embarrassed me in front of customers. Was smartalec and grandiose. Wouldnt help me nor would let her helpers help me. They did but had to sneak. She needs to be fired. Truck was filthy and needs a transmission. I was afraid it would break down. It didnt shift until it reach 70 and then sluggish.

The worker I had did not smile one single time. I even told him he could, and he still didn't smile. There were 2 people working and at least 5 people who said they had appointments or had storage rooms they had reserved, being all of a sudden not reserved at all. Nobody even recognized any of the other customers who were waiting... They could have said "We will be with you in a moment" or anything whatsoever! RUDE. unprofessional.

Turned trailer in after hours as instructed by the gentleman that checked it out to me. The next evening I received a call from Carl wondering where the trailer was. Perhaps they should inventory the lot before bothering the customer.

customer service very poor at what was once a great location. I was bounced back and forth between lot person and desk person, each telling me something different. I was finally told to return trailer after hours which i did the same evening. I was then charged double the rental charge (2 days) for approx 4 hours usage. Was told the double charge return would take a few days... I am still waiting. was also email bombed with at least 8 to 10, many were duplicates. I have used this location many times, but never again.

I moved from FL.back to MN. When I started this process I selected the closest u-haul location not knowing that all locations don't have U-Boxes. That was all worked out. But when I got to MN The U-Box went to a different location then I expected and they were so backed up that they could/would not deliver until 10 days after they arrived in MN which caused a storage charge for an extra month!!!!!!!!

You had change the location of my U-Haul rental preference to the Blaine location when I had originally put in a request for the location by my house 3 minutes away. Took out a lot of time from my day to drive a town over. Also staff had forgotten to put the dollies that I ordered into the back so I had to drive back to U-Haul in Blaine to pick up the dollies which took another hour out of my day. I needed the truck for additional time I called them twice and left messages never got a return call back which added to my stress of moving which is stressful enough I don't think I'll be going back to U-Haul

I rented a storage unit with U-Haul. Great customer service all around. Compared to other self storage facilities nearby, U-Haul is affordable and straightforward. Month to month 24/7 access.

We rented a 20 ft uhaul to move furniture from Minnesota to Colorado. The left rear tires blew off in the middle of the highway, the truck started goin side ways, and we almost got hit by a semi. Our trip was delayed by 2 hours, we arrived late to our destination and had to reschedule the movers that we previously booked.

When you reserve a truck 2 weeks in advance and you go to pick it up and are told they don't have a truck for you because it was canceled. When you are the only one who uses the phone and did not cancel what went wrong. Was told there were no trucks available there or in the area and as we were speaking someone canceled the same size truck as I ordered. Extremely stressful. Employee was a bit snotty and did not like my attitude. Someone made a mistake and it was not me. Yes my attitude was a bit short.

I reserved a trailer in advance online for a 9 am pickup on a Saturday and on my confirmation I was instructed that someone would contact me the day before to finalize. I waited all day Friday but no one contacted me so I called the store a couple times and no one answered. I finally received a text and email at 9:32 pm stating a trailer (not the size I requested) would be ready for pickup at 4:15 pm on Saturday (not the time I requested). I needed the trailer in the morning as I had requested and the store was now closed so I had to wait until Saturday morning to call and explain my situation. The person on the other end was not sympathetic and said the online reservation only states morning or afternoon for choices so I had to keep telling her it let me pick a time and did not state morning or afternoon (even so I picked 9:00 am which is in the morning not afternoon like 4:15 pm). I also told her that it was a different size trailer than what the online reservation stated. I found out later that the size trailer I requested wasn't even available to rent from this location so why is it even on the website as a choice? I also noticed the hours of operation are all wrong when comparing those listed on the internet to the phone message at the store. I didn't know which one to believe. Very confusing! Eventually she told me there would be a trailer available at noon but I needed it earlier than that so I asked if she could check other Uhaul locations and she told me there were no trailers available within 95 miles for people who try to rent the day of (not sure what she was implying because I made a reservation 5 days earlier) plus she kept pressing me for an answer on the noon reservation. Finally she claimed there was a cancellation and a trailer had just became available for a 9:45 am pickup. My experience at the store picking up and dropping off the trailer was good, this is the 2nd time I have used this location and only had issues with the reservations this time around.

26 foot truck reserved became unavailable. Uhaul stated I needed to pick up at another location. Asked about mileage adjustment to cover that distance was told no adjustment could be made, but otherwise I could get their $50 reservation guarantee. Having e everything packed and help available that was not an option. Settled for a 20 foot truck. Uhaul should explore having employees shuttle trucks in situations like this or fairly compensate the customer for the inconvenience.

I would never use nor recooment Uhaul again. I started my experience the day before at the Brooklyn Park Location. I have never received such horrible customer service. Alex O was the person helping me with helping being very lose. He at one point literately told me LIFE SUCKS you just have to move on . This was in the process of telling me even though I had a reserversation that was made 2 weeks prior for a moving truck, they didn't have one and since it was 8pm he was not doing anything else to help me- he knew for a fact that there was no trucks available anywhere in the metro. Lets remind though the trucks that were supposed to be turned in were due in more than an hour before my reservation and even when I showed up on time they refused to call till what we learned was closing time meaning nothing could be done even if the trucks were returned.

The customer service at the location in Blaine was fabulous! Very helpful and informative... The customer service on the phone was one of the worst experiences I’ve had with companies. They were not helpful, and were extremely rude. I know this was not the Blaine location that answered the phone, but I hope someone coaches the employees who work on phones. We almost did not go with UHaul do to my phone experience. If you have any questions, I would be glad to explain. Best, Jennifer

Lucy, is the name of the owner, at least that is what her name tag said, was extremely rude to us when we got there, first, not even good morning but just "what can l do for you ." Then when we told her we were there to pick up a truck she informed us that the time had been postponed and we were notified by email and text. I simply made an attempt to say I did not see the email and the number we gave was a land line, Lucy yelled at both my husband and I by raising both of her arms while telling us to "all calm down and no need to yell" when that was what she was doing. It was so very upsetting and humiliating that neither of us could auter a word. We just simply walked out, and when we came back the second time she referred to my husband as "hun" which we both find very condescending As someone who also works in customer service, I found her behavior to be very poor, rude, aggressive and distasteful . I'd rather drive several extra miles to rent the next time than to use her store. I hope she stops this type of unprofessionalism and crude attitude towards customers. I for one will not use her services, neither will any of my family/ friends for that matter. Thank you.

I have never filled out a negative review until now. This was the worst customer service of my life. I had rented a trailer to pick up Wednesday, May 29. Due to lighting issues, I could not pick up my trailer at 4:45pm as planned. I called, and was on hold for 20+ minutes. The person explained he would need to cancel my reservation and reschedule for Thursday. Weird, but fine. He assured me I could pick it up at 7am. When I arrived at 7 am, the person insisted I had no trailer rented and stated they would not do so until 9am. While your policies are strange, I can grasp your rules. What I don’t see is the TOTAL lack of customer service. I will never use the Blaine store again and will encourage others not to either. When I got home, I did see that the after hours guy slated I was to go to the coon rapids store at 7. His error, not mine. I am confident your clerk at Blaine saw the reservation and just ignored it. The worst customer service I have ever received any where.

The good: the truck was in very good shape. The initial customer service was good. The bad: Per the contract I had to fill the gas tank back up to the 5/8ths point. When I went to the gas station and put in 4 gallons for a 17 mile run I was shocked to see that gas gauge still read less than 5/8ths when I started the truck. Therefore I put in another 3 gallons worth. When I started the truck for the second time the gas gauge now jump to the 7/8ths position. I pointed this out when returning the truck expecting to be at least credited for the last 3 gallons I put in. I hope this was an isolated incident and this failure to record the correct gas mileage the first time is not something that happens to everyone.

The young men running the computers were easy to talk with, funny, engaging and knew the job too. The computers were running pretty slow and the guys kept us in the loop on what was happening and why. It seems when California jumps on their computers it slows the entire country down. I might recommend upgrading the UHaul system. However, the young man helping us gave us extra time at the end of the day because of our wait time up front. Great job men!

The semi traffic in the yard, to the west side, made it difficult to move your vehicle around. The exit being around the back of the building takes you to where the semi traffic is trying to move trailers around.

I walked in without a reservation needing an open trailer to help in a house move. The person at the front desk was a little unsure of what was available thinking that only some very small trailers were available and I could look at them. I was a little concerned that I;d have to go somewhere else. I ran into the manager outside and she asked if she could help me and assisted me with not only asking what I needed it for, but also new about a bunch more available larger trailers with ramps. With her quick assessment and knowing more about availability of trailers onsite I was able to drive off in a few minutes with exactly what I needed. Not sure why the folks inside didn't know about all the other available trailers when I walked, I could have just walked away resulting in no sale without running into the manager.

Great place. Walked in, they had a truck ready for me after about 10 minutes of filling out the lease forms. Returning the truck went well. Final bill was emailed to me in a few minutes. A very good experience.

This is based on the New Brighton location. I had to go well out of my way after the New Brighton, MN location gave my trailer away when I didn't show up within 1 hour my pick up time. I put a credit card down and 12 day rental. I was not informed that I had 1 hour to pick it up or I lose it? The New Brighton location manager/ owner was incredibly rude, as he had been other times. No phone call to check up, refused to help me find another one, rude comments. Nobody else in the store at the time. I filed a complaint at the Blaine, MN location concerning the New Brighton, MN service. I was told that if hear from someone within 72 hours..... Which of course never happened. Blaine location gave good service, but DON'T use the New Brighton one, and overall, UHaul was very time consuming to work with and never followed up on my complaint. Not impressed at all.

I had rented the truck for long enough to go past closing time but we ended up finishing early and were able to return the truck during open hours for the store so bringing the truck back was super easy and we were able to get right back to our new place to start unpacking boxes.

The infomercial and online order led us to believe there would be a single delivery charge for up to 10 U-Boxes. However, the local office can only fit up to 6 on a truck, so there were 2 delivery charges on our 8 boxes. A minor inconvenience, but it could have been made clearer from the beginning. Other than that, the local office was very professional and helpful.

Have more staff and train them in customer service. There were only a few people there and it took us about 1/2 hr to return a truck. The guy who rented to us was barely there, didn't communicate clearly and when we returned truck, the young lady who was working was rude and unprofessional.

Pick up was quick. The staff that helped me did not explain anything, just did the connection of the trailer and said good to go. What if i wanted to remove the trailer and never had before. Since my last rental at this location everyone seem to be a lacking professionalism in their actions and communications.
