The facility us good, storage is well secured, but there are long wait times, little or no flexibility when it comes to payments. I also had to give same information twice, one for storahe and another for truck rental. I was charged more than what I should have been. I filled up gas tank before returning the van and didn't notice that I was slightly off from the mark where the fuel level was when I got it. They charged me 25 dollars for the gas which is absolutely higher than what it should have been. Unfortunately there is no absolute way for me to prove it on paper so I couldn't complain but disappointed that a bug company like U - haul has such low ethical values.Hardikkumar P.

The staff at the Brampton location are extremely inefficient, slow, do not try to be helpful and get clients in and out. I had spent 1,5 hours at the location trying to pick up, switch and load to leave. I was extremely disappointed from the poor service. The actual equipment was great as always, electronic drop off was great.Dror D.

To qualify the two above items, the equipment was in proper functional order and upon request they checked the tire pressure.(previous rental was very underinflated) However, once again I dropped the trailer cleaner than when picked up. I've learned to carry a leaf blower to use before loading. The location is a bit "out there" from Toronto and my original in-town reservation location, but they do have a LOT of equipment on hand as opposed to many other locations, so less chance of being disappointed.L Scott S.

Waited 25 minutes at the desk to drop my trailer off and in that time no one acknowledged me. They said they thought I was with another customer but there was no longer anyonone else there? When they realised they were apologetic and did try and speed up the process which I appreciate but it was just a bit annoying when the whole drop off actually took about 3 mins.Lloyd S.

I needed a little pull trailer to move my daughter to university in Peterborough. There was no place nearby to pickup so I had to go to Brampton. I live 40 mins north. We drove down to Brampton to pick up at 9am and the location took well over 45 mins in line just to sign out our trailer even if you did the online checkin already. Only 2 people were at the desk for a line up for 20 people! The open trailer was decent and in good shape however unlike what I was told on the phone you can't return it after hours and they closed at 7pm on the Saturday. Since I didn't get out of there till 10 am (my 24 hour reservation should have been adjusted to a 10am Sunday return and it was not). Then I had to drive it 40 mins north to home to load it and then drive 2,5 hours to Peterborough (passing through Brampton) unload at the university and then drive 2,5 hours home again passing through Brampton but not able to drop the trailer off on my way because they were closed so I had to drive it all the way back home. Since I had early morning plans the next day and didn't know I couldn't drop off after hours I called the main office and they were great for extending the Sunday drop off time from 9am to 3pm without an extra cost. I appreciate that. It still however meant driving it all the way home only to go back to Brampton after our Sunday plans and return it by 3pm and then drive back home. So it added almost an extra hour and a half of driving for us on Sunday. Gas is not cheap, not to mention our time. They need to make it clear when making the reservation that there is no after hours drop off and to be prepared to either drop it off by their closing time or go back the next day when they open. If I had known that I probably wouldn't have booked and just used Home Depot trailer local to me. Their expensive by $20 but it cost me more in gas to do all that extra driving. While I'd recommend uhaul as a wholeâ€¦.the phone lady was awesome in extending my time, waiting an hour to check out the trailer and their early Saturday closing time at this particular location was not impressive.johnny P.

It was guaranteed pickup so i called the u haul office and explain the situation and i asked for 50$ credit; the lady on the call first she refused to give so i had to argue with her and after 40 mins she gave me credit and wasted my time. . . i booked my apartment's elevator and i became late because of this situation. . . i would never suggest u haul to anyone. . . other local guys in my area would be cheaper and guaranteed. . .PUNIT J.

So i called customer care to help me with the online formalities afterhours drop off at night, nobody picked up the call at night and the guy there saidâ€i am only here for taking your keys, i have no knowledge of how to do this online returnâ€. Checked in online. I took photos of my driver's license online as well. Line up was long and extremely slow. When I got to the counter, although I said I checked in online, I still had to take a selfie and take more pictures of my driver's license. I then had to announce to all who were there what my phone number is, although all that was there when I booked. What is the point of checking in early if I have to do all this at the counter anyways? I and two others were picking to pick up trailers and speaking with two employees when all of a sudden they left and we did not see them again for almost half an hour. My 4x8 trailer rental was changed to a 5x8 because the 4x8 needed some type of repair (supposedly). I believe I was told that the rental cost would be the same (not sure), but even if I wasn't, I think I should have been charged for my original rental value. Instead, I was charged the full cost of the larger trailer. I have to wonder if I'm not the victim of a "bait & switch". When I raised this cost issue at the location, they claim they had no ability to change the rental fee and that there was no manager around (at 5PM on a weekday) to assist.Yvan C.

I Booked a truck for one way 1 month ago and day before they advised me that I am required to bring it back to "their" location as it's their truck (wtf) else i cant rent. The whole point to book one wat was that i moved almost hr away but thia hostage taking a day before cost me time, gas and Uber cost to go back and they only offered 75km to bring it back which is nothing short of a joke. Location always has plenty of supplies and equipment, however, CONSISTENTLY their customer service is terrible from the manager down to the desk staff. It is unfortunate. A smile, a hello, a how are you doing would go a long way. It appears as though the staff go out of their way to be abrasive. Always on their personal phones when they should be serving the next person. The manager has to come out and ask staff to tend to customer lines. Frustrating experience overall.Gurinder R.

I have had a unit for years and I needed the due date changed by three days because I am now retired and my pension comes in on 27th. Was told could not do this. Was charged late fee each month. Called district manager last month and was told to just pretend to move out and move right back in, all just paper work and this would change due date. She said they should have done this years ago for me. When I asked staff to do this young girl did not know how to do this procedure. Finally one of the staff knew how to do this and completed my request. This location gives worst customer service I have ever experienced and manager is never there because I have tried to talk to her for months with no success hence the call to district manager. STAY AWAY! Would DEFINETLY NOT recommend! I got a storage unit here and the girl who served me (brown hair with green tips) was having conversations with her co-workers while serving me and gave me wrong information! She told me I could put my own lock but that i had to also have a Uhaul lock that i needed to buy. I did exactly that and i told her i would be returning within a month to get my stuff out of the unit as there was a promotion for 1 month free storage with use of a Uhaul truck. I told her the exact date several times as she was distracted. I went on vacation for that month and kept getting calls from them! They called me during my vacation where i didn't have much reception and told me i needed to come to the storage unit and remove my lock as I wasn't allowed to have one. I told the girl i was told i could. She started to get mad/ sassy with me and told me if i don't remove it they will charge me 50-150$ to get it removed for me. She was very unprofessional! The manager then called me and told me that i'm a delinquent when i told the girl on the phone that I saw other people also had their own lock. Very unprofessional coming from a manger! The manager never addressed the wrong information i was given by their workers! Instead she asks me when i will be picking up my stuff, which I had already informed the girl with green tips, on the first day, several times as she was distracted talking to her co-worker! Highly unqualified workers and bad management! Being on vacation and having to deal with them and reporting it to Uhaul was a huge hassle and inconvenience! The lady was very rude to me. After took more the 4hrs of waiting and traveling. A long day. I am handicap lady. It took a toll on me. Traveling from Toronto storage space. Told me that there was no unit. I had reservation number. The man that worked at Queensway started yelling at my daughter. Told us where wasting are time here. I was in tears and emotional knowing I did not have storage space. I have never seen customer service was so awful and despectful. The staff in Queensway should be fired. The way me and my daughter was treated so awful. She called me on the way to Brampton she did not give the correct address of storage. We went to the wrong location. We had 15 minutes to get to the other location. When we arrived to the 2nd location. Only 10 by 10 was avaliable . The lady was so rude and told me that I can't get in the storage room. Cause it's after 700. I total lost it on her. I told where not leaving. One of the mover spoke to the lady. Finally they came up with the solution and let us in. I would like to compensated for all I been through. The movers had to leave. I had to find another mover to help. It was crazy exhausting experience. One Staff did not have access to collect payments. Male employee were condescending to employees and customers. Simrsnjit Kaur could not respond to questions or her respond was opposite, and she was preoccupied with conversation with male staff than helping customers, but seemed to be the only staff member able to do all tasks. Manager, Rajnit, did not look at me but continued typing on the computer, was unprofessional, dismissive, and rude. An hour wait for each visit on the same day. Horrible experience as a customer. U-Haul review 1.Nobody EVER answers the phone at this location. The line is ALWAYS fowarded to the USA customer service line. Nice as they are, the US agents could rarely resolve my local problems. It was extremely frustrating not ever getting a live local employee on the phone in an entire year. 2. I requested an email reminder be sent to me when the storage locker payment was coming due. Was told it was not possible to do that (despite the fact I'd had them sent to me from my other two U-Haul storage rentals.) After I called the customer service line in the US directly to request it, the email reminders magically started to appear. 3. Every other UHaul storage facility I've used gave access to the lockers after store hours up to 10pm. You apparently have to specifically request it with this one. Could not get in my locker two days in a row until access was "granted". Still took 24 hrs to process, causing moving out delays for me. This location needs to start picking up the phone and offering live customer service directly to their clients instead of throwing them all over to the US side to handle.Laurie E. | Expérience générale

Moving trucks, supplies, and storage has become a necessity and yet UHaul is not in any way customer friendly. You stand in line for such a long time only to be greeted, or the lack of happy greeting, with someone who does t even smile or look at you. While serving me, employee picked up her phone, stopped working to have a personal conversation laughing and joking. After about 10 minutes of watching her talk, she decided to end her call that was conducted in front of me and finally help me. Long line up only two customer service representatives for over 18 clients. Was a slow process. But when you get to the front of the line, they are very helpful and proffessional. It worth the wait. I had to sweep out the unit that I rented because no cleaning person was on duty, but the facility was very clean. Overall experience is good, will I recommend Uhaul to others? Absolutely. I was informed I was ready to move in by email by general manager with a standard welcome greeting email; upon loading my vehicle and arriving on-site I could not access the building and numerous call to customer service( proving unless) they were not able to help. Later on after 3 hours on-site waiting for a resolution, I was informed due to being a new customer my access will take 24 hours to be in the system. All this would have be avoided if the site manager had sent this in an email to me. This proves my time was not important and because I rented a small unit I was not priority. As a result of the level of service and misinformation I was given in regards to moving in I will not be doing business with this or any U-Haul locations. The storage was excellent, I should have rented the van from you however. My experience with one of your local dealers at Tostam Event Rental was horrible. The van was poorly maintained and the exhaust was very loud. The check engine light came on 5 minutes into my trip. The lady that rented the vehicle then called me after I dropped it off saying I returned it without the muffler, that it was my fault and then she tried to extort money from me to fix it. She was unreasonable to deal with and is a poor ambassador for the U-Haul brand. I hope that bad actors such as this are punished because the experience for the customer was awful. I understand that each dealer is independent of the others. The storage facility was great though it took me a while to figure out how to get in. I would definitely recommend your facility. I will never used nor will I ever recommend Uhaul storage to anyone. For almost 1 month after moving out, I was harassed 2-3 times a week about a unit I no longer had. The staff sit around on their cell phones rather than assist customers and the manager is always "in a meeting" or "unavailable". She also never returns phone calls or messages. My storage was broken in. Burglary happened in my storage. I have almost $70 k stuff missing from the u haul storage. I had this storage from last 4,5 years. The storage facility is good and fit for purpose but I am quite disappointed that there are no lifts to take heavy items upstairs. I had so many things to take up to the storage lockers upstairs and there was no way I could get them across without the help of another customer. I had injuries trying to get my stuff up. It would be to your advantage to try to have more staff scheduled at the end/beginning of the month when more moves occur. The staff is often stressed out , overwhelmed and overworked! They actually did not put my termination of my rental unit in the computer system properly , as the agent was overwhelmed and wrongly charged another month (now corrected). As usual , there was a long lineup at month's end. The problem is that are only one lineup and often are so long. Everyone is put into one lineup : truck rentals and other complicated rental agreements ( that take a long time) and then other retail purchases that takes a minute. . There should be a line up just for simple merchandise transactions that just take minutes , so you don't have to stand in line half an hour for example just to buy tape or boxes . Otherwise , must say an associate named "Samantha " was amazing and perhaps should be in a managerial position one day. Thank you . JONATHAN S.
