The truck was in poor working order. The wipers were malfunctioning, the headlight assembly was not aligned and falling off. The overall condition of the truck was poor. There were old masks and earmuffs in the cabin which I had to dispose of. The representative at the counter asked for two people to have on file as if I was a criminal. I have rented U haul trucks frequently. By far my worst experience.

Customer service was fantastic, I have had poor experiences 2-3 years ago at a different uhaul and this has really changed my mind. Both check in service was very effective, and drop off was really fantastic. Great work!

I've had some hiccups, with my rentals...a wrench was lite up on dash board, the back end was full of drywall from the last customer, a broken wiper, etc. Small issues, but I still appreciate this is not what Uhaul generally intends from their brand. Last week however, the problems that I had, due to Uhaul's equipment cost me time and money. I was scheduled for a warehouse pickup, for 8:30, and when I got to my puck up location, the back door was jammed, and 5 people tried to get it to open, but it wouldn't budge. I had to leave, return the rental, get a new truck, and a new time slot, to pick up my shipments. It was finally given a time, that was 2hrs after my original time slot, which had a domino effect, and pushed back the remainder of the day, and was unable to attend other appointments. I was given a replacement, and that on had a steele plate that was part of the flooring, all bent (I can send pictures), and it was a tripping hazard, not to mention things kept getting snagged on the hole, as they were going into and out of the truck. The hole measured about 2feet x 2feet square. I was not happy this time round.

I was very disappointed at the service at this location. Our reservation was made almost a week before pick up and by the time we arrived, the truck was not ready or cleaned. We were given the key to check the truck and move it. The truck had a flat tire and we asked a staff for help. A staff pointed us to the garage door and asked us to wait in front of it for someone to open up and attend to us. After waiting outside in the cold for almost 10 minutes, I went in and asked the staff behind the counter for help. She looked at me rudely and said she'll get someone to open the garage and attend to us. This took another 5 minutes until someone came to pump air into the flat tire. Instead of checking the other tired to make sure they were good, he rudely asked us to move the truck right away before we can check the other tires. I will not ever recommend this location to anyone. It was a really terrible experience. It took about 45 minutes to complete the pickup. We have rented at other locations and had a great experience. Unfortunately, this location lacks customer service.

We booked an appliance dolly with the reservation but it was not available while pickup. The desk lady informed that dollies cannot be guaranteed even for reservations. I had made my reservation 4 days earlier (and checked in) just to make sure I get it. If a dolly is not available I should be informed before my pickup. We had a hard time moving bigger appliances because of this. I feel this is a problem that needs to be fixed by this location or Uhaul in genreal.

Contactless pick up was not contactless I followed all the steps on my phone, it directed me to go inside “skip the line “ and go to the side counter to collect my keys when I went inside there were a few people in line I went to the counter a woman wearing a hat that said she was “management” told me I had to wait in line I got in the back of the line and then she yelled for my information across the room. Although I followed all the steps in my uhaul account and I was at the receiving key page she said I only had a reservation she instructed me to click “ got my keys “ which I did and she said “ in my system it's still just a reservation” she gave me no further instruction on what I should do and I continued to wait in line for 30 minutes when I finally got to the counter and they verified my reservation and my credit card had gone through( which had already been done online) they told me the keys for the truck were back outside, I then had to ask “ okay where outside ? Where do I go ?” The manger seemed annoyed that she had to be working and was very rude, the lot guys were very friendly but it took an additional 10 minutes to find the key, once found in the lot lock box the lot guy said I should have received a lock code so I didn't have to go inside but the “my uhaul account” prompted me to go inside instead. Once truck inspection was done the truck had low tire pressure which required air and took another 5 mins my reservation was for 4pm and I arrived at 3:55pm it was suppose to be contactless and was not, I didn't end up leaving the lot with my truck till 4:50pm, very unimpressed with the customer service at this location.

First off I had a reservation when I got there I had to wait for the guys outside to find the truck and to top things off they made me pull out the truck while they stood around talking with one another it was very unprofessional I will not be renting from you again also I filled up the truck and you did not reimburse me back and I spent almost 800 at your store I've had problems with this location in the past but this did it for me

Improve your customer service training by teaching staff what the word compromise means. Encourage staff to think outside the box and offer solutions to customers needs rather than providing a “one fits all solution”. Highly disappointed with the service I received from this location. The 1-800 number was much more understanding, efficient and customer focused.

I think the mobile pick up is amazing, but perhaps put a few more specific instructions of where the lock is. And maybe even a picture of how to operate the lock. It seemed a little bit like doing an escape game in the cold. I did not know that the lock was at the rear of the truck and took me some times to find it. And the lock itself wasn't the smoothest to open, and I had to second guess myself or if the lock combo was correct, turns out I just needed to press it harder than I expected on the open lever.

The truck was broken and was towed two weeks earlier for the same issue. It was never resolved and was rented out to me. I originally had a 20 foot truck and was given a replacement 10 foot truck at 1 AM! This is horrible and by far the worst experience of my life with any company

At the time of picking up the trailer, I noticed that the right tire was running low and indicated this to the U-Haul representative who said they'd fill it up and not to worry - I thought that the trailer may have been sitting in the yard for an extended period of time. I stopped an hour or so later for gas and realized the tire was running low again, didn't think much of it and proceeded to fill it up at the paid pump available at the gas station. I stopped soon after to get lunch and realized the tire was flat, and realized that there was likely a leak. I proceeded to fill it up and immediately called the number indicated on my contract to inform them that the tire had required air 3 times over the course of the last four hours (once at the dealer, and twice along the route). They referred me to another number and said that they could not assist but that if I felt it was necessary, I could call roadside assistance. Given this conversation, I decided to stop every hour or so to fill up the tires instead of calling for assistance (ultimately stopping every hour to refill the tire). Upon arrival at the U-Haul in MTL, I informed them that the tire was leaking and that I had indicated this at the time of leasing the trailer. The APM told me that I need to submit a complaint and would be refunded considering this was negligence on 411Main St N's part. I was later contacted by the branch manager at 411 Main St and was offered a 20$ refund for the inconvenience. This was extremely frustrating. Given the fact that I had initially pointed this out at the time of leasing the trailer, the fact that I had to stop 6 times throughout my trip to MTL, and that I had pointed this issue out to three different U-Haul reps (411 Main St, over the phone on route, and at the destination location) who all passed me onto the next person. I am not satisfied with the service U-Haul provided. It was negligent of U-Haul to provide me with a trailer that was not functional.

We called to determine if the ball would fit the trailer that I was renting. Was told that it would. Got there and the person that was out back giving out the trailers simply said that my trailer ball would not work and did not have any alternative. So I went back into the store to cancel my order and the girl there went out of her way to find me the correct ball. Great effort to ensure customer satisfaction after a problem happened. BRAVO. I realize that there are always misunderstandings and problems, but many people don't care about customer satisfaction. Your employee did. GREAT JOB!! I will rent there again.Dave Dodds

Very poor customer service and extremely poo communication towards what customers need to do. The two women working the desk set the tone in this location to be a negative experience. Every single customer was spoken to with a negative attitude. My personal experience was that every question I had, I recieved attitude with short answers that did not answer my questions. I felt that because I'm in a situation where I need a truck, they are abusing their power thinking that they can talk to customers however they want and that we cannot respond. The man outside who was giving the keys to customers was very friendly. No issues with him. The following day, I went to Google to see reviews for this specific location. Peoples reviews accurately described my experience. I called the store but was bumped to their head office. Customer service was nice. They listened. When the phone cut off, they attempted to contact me right away. When they couldn't get through, they emailed me and let me know that they would have the store owner contact me. With so many u-hauls in the area and big box stores to compete with, I'm not sure why the owner would want to keep employees who are giving their business a bad reputation in the community and risk losing return business, especially during a pandemic.

At the time of truck rental pick up customers should be advised of the $20 ADMIN FEE for early after hours return. I returned my truck a whole 15 hours earlier than the contract due time and was charged an extra $20. The strange thing is that the Uhaul staff checked in the truck during their business hours which was evident on the emailed receipt! the receipt showed the check-in time. What is the explanation for the charges? I know it's in the fine print!

Wen I took uhaul the lady asked me whether I need insurance I told clearly no then she told me to insert the card and told me to accept the approximate amount of 73$ . I did it she printed a receipt and have given me.... Later after 3 hours I returned the uhaul.. next day wen I saw the receipt 15$ for insurance was deducted..I called the customer care they connected me to the same lady and she told as you accepted it after inserting the card it charged you.. Wen I told you checked with me and I told no she told still you have to decline after insertion of card I told did you tell me that she told that's not her job... She was so rude and was putting mistake on me rather accepting it.... This is really a horrific experience and will never go to this location again..I picked uhaul so many times previous but this was really bad....

Rented a cargo van on a snowy day, was surprised when I hit the highway and there was no washer fluid. Had to stop 5 times to clean windshield.Came back to return, notified the guy who inspects and he was shocked as well. He advised me to go inside and raise this issue. Went inside and the customer service rep Gurleen was so rude and she was like Meh..u have to check washer fluid and everything. I was like WHATT .She offered me a 15 dollar discount as she did a huge favor to me and told me it was your duty to check. I walked out of the store wirh a blank face and thoughts what if I had hit anyone with that poor visibility and uHaul must have blamed me, and police as well.

The vehicle was clean, but not well maintained. The suspension is very old and bouncy, it's not easy to control the vehicle, even with no cargo and dry driving conditions. The after hours drop-off is a money scam. There's issues with the website, and YOU must have a cellphone, just to return the truck or equipment, otherwise, you're charged an additional $20 plus taxes. When I went back to show them photos, they were very stern, and didn't want to return it. After I showed proof of photos and a faulty website, I was refunded only $18. I don't know where they got that amount from. I'm going back.

I paid $73 plus $20 in fuel for a 2 hour van rental when I know friends who only paid about $60 for a full day. Its ridiculous. The line up was ridiculous and the wait time was almost half an hour which is unacceptable.

In the past 10 years I have used the storage space at UHaul a few times.I have always been impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and I have also observed how well they take care of the vehicles.I do have one recommendation and that is some of the staff need to smile more while serving customers.The cleaning lady was always very helpful and pleasant. I paid for this storage unit for a client as I'm a realtor. They were not happy at all when they couldn't access the unit. I had also asked if by chance the unit for the 3rd month could be shortened to the end of the first week as the client moved everything out Aug 8. I will never get involved or book through your location again. Your staff was extremely rude to myself on 2 occasions and my client on another occassion.
