Hello, My Name is Lynda, My daughter And I rented a 6x12 enclosed UHAUL trailer on 9/16/22 from uhaul moving and storage 1265 E Benson Hwy Tucson, AZ 85713 When we picked up the trailer, they informed us that the price was $600+ more than originally planned and we're told by the original dealer. He was unable to provide the 6x12 but that size would only be $11 more. We arrived at Benson to be told that it was $1240 and that they can't give us a discount Because they were getting in trouble for using discounts too much. I had to figure out how to afford the extra money and asked the staff at (943073 Benson HWY) location, If they would accept multiple forms of payment, which they informed me they were unable to do. I had to call uhaul a few times to find out what my options were for paying for the trailer. I was finally given the correct information and had a woman who was very helpful allow me to make multiple payments to secure the rental. When picking up the trailer the person who helped us hooked the trailer up and that's it, he didn't explain anything or provide any info besides load the heavy items in the front of the trailer closest to the hitch. He did not “inspect” the tires or the wires/hitch couplings. On 9/18 while traveling east on I 30 in Arkansas, the trailer started to fishtail and my daughter Savanna slowed down and tried to hold the steering wheel, tightly to retain control. The trailer continued to fishtail even more so and started pulling our car and making it rock. There was a slight decline so we were unable to control the car from sliding. The trailer then Jackknifed up to the drivers side of the car and we skidded to a stop. With the trailer turned upwards to be side by side with the drivers side of the car. We had people help maneuver us out of the situation and to bring us to the side of the road into the grass to prevent any accidents from happening. After we were safely on the shoulder/grass we got out of the vehicle and we had no idea why the trailer started to fishtail. As we walked around we noticed the rear tire on the drivers side of the uhaul was shredded. There was only the small pieces connected to the rim itself left in the rim. I have never seen that happen to any tire before. The tire, what was left of it was shredded and on closer inspection the tire looked cracked in many places. When we asked the roadside assistance man what would cause a tire to look as shredded as it was and he said the tire was rotted and shouldn't have been let off the lot. Not only did we have a crappy experience just getting the uhaul and treated like it was a big inconvenience to the people at the Benson hwy location. There was NO inspection of the uhaul trailer, where they asked us if we had any questions. They did not point out what to look for or to go over any safety stuff. So they did NOT inspect the tires. I spent $1240 to almost be killed by a faulty tire that took the roadside assistance guy less than 20 minutes to replace. He inspected the rest of the tires for us along with making sure the hitch was not damaged and was safe to continue using. That was the only way I was going to be able to continue driving. I am requesting in the least a refund for the very scary and life threatening situation we were put in due to the faulty tire. I am requesting that some sort of oversight on actual inspections on the trailers before leaving the lot, to make sure the employees know what to look for to prevent any future incidents that could hurt or kill someone. I filed a claim for the damage done to the car from the trailer. Sincerely Lynda Potter

From the first moment of dealing with the in store staff I felt as I was treated with total rudeness, truck was not clean, windshield was not even able to see out of. I than had a horrible 200 mile drive that made me feel like the trucks steering was going to fail at any moment, reached out to the local U-Haul dealer with my concern of my safety and was treated great , I was toldthat they reached out to the place I rented it from and they would send out a mechanic to check it over, Greg with Bobs Road side service was great and said it was an exhaust heat shield that was loose. I returned the truck back to Tucson after all this and was treated like a POS and lied to on the fuel level was not at the 3/4 of the tank and charged an additional 50 dollars plus, I than questioned this and was again told it was low, so I took it to the gas station and it only took 6 dollars to hit the 3/4 mark. Enough said. I would never recommend nor use this establishment again....

Worst experience ever. Truck had over 200 000 miles on it with oil pressure of 15 lbs. Roadside mechanic said engine was shot and never should have been rented. No 26' replacement truck was available. They gave me a 20' truck so I had to give away over $5 000 in furnishings in one day. f""" You-Haul!

Trucks was in excellent condition, Clean and ran very well. Staff was anything but friendly and by some creative accounting I am out $35 in duplicate charges and am told "that is the way we do it" I will NEVER rent UHaul again even tho I will pay more

The headlights on my box truck were way out of alignment. Driver's side was blinding oncoming traffic, and I constantly was getting flashed brights from other vehicles (while driving at night). Both visors were broken, but the divers side was hanging in the middle of the windshield causing serious issues for driving visibility. I managed to fix it in a place for the duration of my rental time.

Location is hard to get to, when you have to make a U-turn with a 26 ft truck. I had reserved a 10' X 25' X 8' storage unit. I drove from Lake Havasu City, AZ. When I arrived they told me the storage unit was damaged and tried to send me to another site with a smaller storage unit. I also had arranged movers through U-Haul to assist me with unloading the truck. They informed that morning that they couldn't show up until 3:00 or 3:30. I paid for 4 hours and they worked 1 hour. I give them 1 hour credit for travel time due to the mix up with where I was going to secure a storage unit. U-Haul uses a double booking practice of bait and switch to put customers in a smaller units at different locations. Once I got very upset and they heard me talking on the the phone, I ended up getting the unit that they said was damaged (not true). After they offer me the unit I had reserved, they provided me good customer service.

When I made my reservation, I did need your services. For a space for my cargo trailer. When I went down and made my payment for the space my mom called me and said she wanted my trailer. Uhaul was excellent in their care for my in-town moving needs. Their truck was cleaned and maintained very well. The process to rent was easy and convienient due to the location being next to my home. The 'return equipment' personnel was very kind and helpful in my questions, and the process to drop back off their truck was a breeze. I would highly recommend Uhaul, and will be using their services for future needs.

When I got home with some of the furniture I had put in storage in was full of Spiders and spider eggs ( took pictures and.showed them as proof) …. I told the staff there when we turned in the locks and they nonchalantly informed us that they would pass it on to management…….

Please make the system accept an order for a second UBox. I mis-calculated but it was like dealing with congress to add the UBOX to my first order. I spent hours on the phone.

I spoke with staff at the Benson Hwy location several times and the were very helpful! The person who dropped off the uBox at our apartment location was GREAT! She called right away, worked well with us, and was very good at moving and placing the uBoxes. She was GREAT. The only change I recommend is to be more clear about the time needed to schedule a uBox drop off. I thought I could request it during the same day. Again, though, the staff was so helpful that they were able to drop off the next day for me. Overall a 5 star experience. I'll recommend uBox to friends and family, and will use your services again!

I have never been to any facility where the Workers - and I use that WORD not very strongly - you have to actually have to be working to have that name be associated with the person. You come up to a counter and they just sit the whole time they just sit - you go get the item, Truck, Van, you go get it you look it over you take pictures and you download on there app. And they still sit. You can find a Uhaul company phone sitting on the floor of the unit you just rented - you might as well just drive off with it because they probably don't need it anyways because they don't move off there seat. I just have haven't run into business running like this ever - so it's all coming from Covid and we'll honestly I don't know what exactly this is

This was hands down the worst customer service we have ever had. First, I showed up for my truck and they didn't have it. I was very frustrated. Sterling and Marco refused to do anything. Had no idea what was going on. I had people scheduled to help in the morning. I had a reservation number. But when the looked it up it was coming up as someone else. I ended up renting 2 dozen pads. My wife dropped them off and Sterling and Marco were rude. Told he it was a $5 charge per pad if not folded and watched her make several trips to the car while they were playing on their phones. She asked for their names and they refused. She asked for the manager and they refused. Told her they wouldn't even have to give the cops their name if they were there asking. I would appreciate a call from the location or regional manager to discuss this situation.

I was surprised to get a surcharge for mileage when I returned the truck. I was NOT told there was a mileage estimate on my contract as U-Haul advertises UNLIMITED mileage with a 10' truck! This was not clear or communicated to me so I felt this was not right when I was charged at my return! I would have changed the estimate if I had known. I would certainly FIX that part of the deal because it comes off as false advertising!

You are TOLD not asked to go get your vehicle- you again are told it's your responsibility to walk around inspect take pictures of and any damages not them and report them, you are charged the insurance which when you phone in to the National Uhaul or online or even a different location that it is optional- this location on Benson Hwy it's Mandatory - you are basically a Uhaul employee but don't get paid for the work- I'm very disappointed/ the attendant that assisted us was RUDE AND VERY Argumentative - if we didn't like it go somewhere else !!!

I reserved to pick up at the location on Country Club drive. I was called and told that my reservation was changed to 44th street. When I got to 44th street, no one was able to dispatch the equipment. So I had to be transferred to E. Benson hwy. The eventual location was great, but there was a major inconvenience before getting there.

This was the 3rd place we finally went to that had a real place to leave the equipment--we were first told by a lady on the 520-829-5112 phone to drop it at 3760 S Park where there was NOTHING--we talked to a trash hauler and he directed us to a place on Benson which was only a storage facility---then we talked to a security guard next door and he directed us on down the block to a u-haul facility--the guys there were GREAT--equipment was not supposed to drop there but arranged to drop it there for us......PEOPLE AT ALL FACILITIES ARE GREAT WONDERFUL FOLKS----TELEPHONE CONTACTS AND THOSE REPS STINK!!! SOMETHING REALLY LACKING IN PHONE/TEXT/EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS---BAD/INCORRECT/OLD DATA IN SYSTEM-----VERY FRUSTRATING IN 105 DEGREE WEATHER!!!!!!

I have utilized your service numerous times but after the last one I will no more. To start, I reserved a dolly and then didn't get one which I really needed as I was moving by myself. I was forced to drive across the city to secure one from another store which made me late to my lease signing. The original location put a $100 hold on my card which the dropoff location told me was unnecessary. The pickup location was to busy to go over the condition of the truck and just handed me the keys, had me walk across to the far end of their parking lot to find the truck. Then I mistakenly filled up the tank on your truck which cost me an extra $80 and you wouldn't refund the extra amount even though it's clearly marked on the return paperwork. I won't be using your service again.

I tried to pick up the truck using my phone but the app requested information I did not have like passport . If I uploaded my drivers license and my picture why do you require more stuff , dumb!!!! I provided 2 contacts but they were never contacted and the app did not accept them , useless app. The location personal we're very helpful.

The facility 'sized-up' my truck size without communicating with me. I would have opted for a smaller size instead. I had a one way, out of state move and had to drive a truck that was much larger than I was comfortable driving.

The storage itself was fine but the communication was not great. I only visited the rental maybe 5 times in the year I had it. Once my keycard didn't work and the office was a good 100 yards from the entrance. the person at the front desk must have sent me back to the gate 3 times with "try it now" before they manually opened it for. should have done that in the beginning was a bout a half hour I was waiting to get in. I also emailed the manager 3 times with no response over a 2 week period to cancel the unit when I moved out. Then also called a week before the renewal to tell them I had moved out weeks earlier. The person on the phone said it was closed. then I got an email 2 days after renewal to say I had a late fee. Then called and got another person who I think finally closed it out. so 3 emails and 2 calls just to get it closed.

Let me start with the facility itself is very clean, great location, and some of the staff are very friendly and helpful. My issue with this facility, and the reason for the lower rating is the challenge in redeeming the free month of storage u-haul offers. They claim at 90 % they don't have to honor the contract you have yet a call to corporate and they will tell you that is NOT the policy. End result is, after several calls and a couple hours time to corporate, they honored my contract.

Many staff did not have answers to questions I posed about RV storage. The electric box provided does not accommodate size of RV plug due to type of hinge on box. I said I only wanted 1 month storage and would let them know if I was going to extend and I am being charged for overdue payment
