Better communication with the customer is necessary as well as employee evaluation. My rental boxes were suppose to be delivered between 9am-1pm however they arrived at 4pm with none of the purchased supplies in It, so I spent an hour on hold to get in contact with someone to send me the supplies so I could start packing. Then they were suppose to pick up the Uhual Saturday between 9-1 and the following Monday as I flew out of state I had to call and ask why my stuff was still sitting on the side of the road. After arriving in Michigan the 23rd my stuff sat at the Byron center Uhual for almost 3 weeks, which called me the day of scheduled delivery at 3pm to tell me they weren't going to deliver my stuff. They went on to reschedule for Saturday which was then rescheduled to Monday after the driver deemed It impossible to get to my house. The Monday driver was there on time and had no problem getting to my house so the original driver just lied. I had to take of 3 days of my new job to handle yalls mess. On top of that all the president of west Michigan Uhual (Johnathon Gilmore) basically told me It wasn't his problem because he was on vacation. 0/10 will never use y'all again and will continue to warn everyone how terrible this company is.Dominique F.

I arrived at 4:40pm on Sunday. Yes it was almost closing time however I had time to sign my contract. Customer service told me the storage I rented was big enough for a 2 bedroom apt. It's clearly wasn't even big enough for a 1 bedroom. When I called the office to see what we could do he said we held this one for you and there are no others at this time and was basically like o well your issue. We had a truck full of our belongings and had to throw away some furniture and other things. There was no way to resolve our issue and most definitely not a care. The general manager dealt with my brother at 0700 and informed us of a delinquent balance with uhaul. So at 1000 after settling the issue I came in with my brother to help get the uhaul and when we stepped up to the desk the general manager was very disrespectful and rude and just said " I done told him ( my brother) this morning I will not give him a uhaul" before we were able to say anything so I preceded to inform her that we had called uhaul and settled the delinquent amount and I had a email with a code on it and she was still very rude and said "well I'll need to see that before I deal with either of you" which I knew she needed and even after showing the email and proving he was no longer delinquent she proceeded to have a harsh attitude and disrespectful manner towards us the entire time we were in her presence. I will no longer deal with this location due to the general managers actions. I only know she was the general manager because her shirt said general manager.Cody P.

I had a reservation for a 6x12 covered trailer at the 102 E VETERANS MEMORIAL BLVD in KILLEEN TEXAS at 4:45pm. I get there early at about 4pm. When the family in front of me which did not make reservations ended up getting the trailer I had reserved days before. The guy working there (I think his name was Lawrence) ask me while I was waiting in line if I had a reservation. I told him yes and then he asked me what I had reserved. I told him a 6x12 covered trailer. He then walks me outside and shows me a 6x12 trailer and ask if it's like that one. I told him yes. Then he tells me that I can't have it because he was giving it to the family in front of me. As we walk back in he ask the family (getting my trailer) what their destination was. I started thinking, how can that family already have a reservation if he doesn't even know their destination. I think asked Lawrence if I could speak to him outside. I confronted him on the issue and asked him â€œhow can they get the trailer if they don't have a reservation?â€ He then said his boss told him to give it to that family. I was so frustrated because I had a busy timeline already and did my part to prepare for this trip. I was not offered an apology nor a attempt to try to fix the problem. I will file a formal complaint on this matter. I had to call around to other place to find my own solution. I ended up getting a smaller trailer. I rent from uhual often and I think I'm going to start looking at other businesses, the time before this we had a employee at the 2007 E Business Hwy 190, Copperas Cove, TX 76522 give my wife serious attitude over not having a reservation and how she needed to come back at a later time because he was to busy with a 3 other customers there.ABRAHAM A.

We were there to return vehicle and waited 25 mins no one was in the office. So when someone did show up she took the keys and said I will check you in. Went home and 30 mins later someone called and said where is the truck which we had dropped off on time. I told her we dropped it off and then they proceeded to charge me a extra day charge because they did not log it back. Had to call and get refund. Not at all happy with the serviceCHRISTINE G.
Uhaul franchise staff needs to check the tires when equipment is returned. I rented a trailer and was doing a walk around after it was loaded. The passenger side tire was bald and wearing unevenly and did not come close to matching with the driver's side tire. Roadside assistance hooked me up with a good replacement before leaving for a 1400+ mike trip. I was good to go. However, the problem could have been addressed before I ever received the trailer. This shifted the responsibility and safety onto me, rather than the purveyors of the equipment. This Uhaul location has done right by me in the past, so I would recommend them to friends. However, check your tires when you're receiving equipment!Jacob C.

Uhaul employee backed his golf cart into my parked trucked - damaging the front. The general manager handled the situation in the most unprofessional manner possible. She was extremely rude to me by raising her voice and telling me to calm down (after my parked 70 $k truck was rammed by a negligent employee), refused to tell me her name (would only give me her business card), and never apologized about the incident or the inconvenience this incident would cause. After returning the trailer she refused to meet with me again and still charged me for the rental. I've been told to â€œget a quoteâ€ and they would pay for the damage. I highly doubt this statement will be honored. This type of customer service or basic treatment of a human being is absolutely unacceptable. There is no reason this general manager (Michelle Mitchell) should still be employed by the company.Scott P.

First off the manager was very respectful and the installer was knowledgeable and helpful as well. The issue I ran into was I ordered the hitch on the 29th of July. I had an appt set for July 5th. I showed up on July 5th and my hitch was not there. It was going to be delivered at the end of the day on the 6th. No prior notice given to me. I had this appt for a reason. With my busy life this was the only time I could do at the time. So driving over and going home and then coming back on the 7th to have it installed made the trips that more frustrating. No apology or anything. It was a huge inconvenience but I rescheduled many appts and my work to bring it back in. Other than that, I didn't mind it.Cody F.

I needed a "ride home" when dropping off the truck. After 511 $it would have been a 5 of 5 star rate. Grateful for a good truck. Glad they had a very small unit for me and first month no charge. Not happy that clerk wants all the personal data, extra phone numbers and address. I have good history with u-haul without leaving my brothers name, address and phone number. That makes this a three star rate. I'm leaving the extra fourth star since I vented. If you take off all my family personal data you can have 5 stars. I was supposed to receive a month free due to the ONE WAY rental and that issue was never addressed and when it finally did get addressed I received 2 lien notices that my FREE storage was 399 $behind. When I walked in the line was to the door, so I did everything online. I paid for my storage unit, had a contract number and access code and still was not let into the unit! The ONE guy working the desk told the guyS outside that I STILL had to wait in line to talk to him! Which caused my trailer rental to go over, so I was charged an extra day for that! This facility is extremely inefficient! There are only 6 parking spaces because most of the parking is take by vehicles.
