DOMINIQUE BThe rental process was pretty easy. I ordered a 20' truck and was given a 26' at no extra cost. The truck was clean and I had no issues. It made moving day a little less stressful. A great experience.

Garth wI had confirmed my booking of a 26ft truck by phone with one of your reps, only to arrive and find only 20ft trucks were available. This forced me to make two trips, greatly inflating my original price quote. Because of this, I will never use your services again, nor would I ever recommend "Uhaul" services to anyone.

MOHAMOUD JShannon was awesome to deal with, highly recommend. When I dropped 20' U-Haul in PEI they said I did not fill high enough. I said Shannon said to fill between 1/2 and 3/4 and I filled all the way to 3/4. Bit of a misunderstanding but overall experience was great!
WILLIAM ACustomers next to me were upset that equipment they ordered/reserved wasn't available. I felt bad for them. Don't let people reserve equipment that isn't available!

JORDEN WTrick I had booked didn't work so they switched me to a one way which is fine, but truck was not full and I used less then half but when I was done all I could do was fill it. I know it's only 10 or 20 bucks in difference but when moving is already pricey every penny counts. Also truck had some minor front end issues clicking and a knock you could feel in the wheel when low speed turning, I mentioned it at drop off and they didn't really care.

PHILIPPE BWent to clear out my unit after much personal life struggle to find out staff had given my person information out. This caused a family member to show up when I was with professional movers at MY unit and cause a scene which almost needed police intervention. This info was given out by either Brandy or Kyle,as they know both myself and the other party from previous unit rentals during moves. To say this was unprofessional is and understatement. Also knowing Kyle has a sexual assault history with charges and is working as/in a manager position like he claims is very u settling esp when it's public knowledge. The stress caused by this was very unfortunate and unexpected due to your staff giving out my personal info. I'd like to know what compensation or remedy for this situation I was put in is going to be. You have my contact information, I await your reply.
erin m | Expérience généraleWe were so pleased with the rental experience of a cargo van from the Charlottetown, PEI U-Haul. Two years ago we had a negative experience attempting to rent a truck from a location near Halifax - at the last minute they told us the truck we reserved weeks before and verified the day before, was not available. I told the Charlottetown location I was going to keep verifying and they were very patient with me and completely helpful. The cargo van was ready to roll, even earlier than we first reserved it, which helped tremendously. It was comfortable, easy to drive, and had ample room for what we were moving. The staff was over the top helpful and friendly. Highly recommend them a their fleet of new and well maintained vehicles.
KENNETH MCustomer care! Your staff of Indian descent needs customer training. I was supposed to file a complaint at the police station but choose to let it go after considering the company is the blame for not properly venting their hired employees. Not matter what! Customer is king! It's the customer that has the business open to allow them the be able to receive a paycheque. Go and check you cameras of 17-Aug-2024 at exactly 7:05- 7:10 pm and watch how your staff approach customers walking in the store unknowingly the business was closed and not explained anything but rather push persons out the establishment, no one should put hands on someone, point blank. He's lucky I didn't pressed charges for assault.

JOHN CDropped off after hours, so the question re personnel being helpful is N/A - maybe that should be an option. As for drop off, the lot was dark and i had to walk around the building to drop off the keys. Not ideal as a single woman in the dark. Have drop boxes on front and back, when the back lot is full and you have to park in front.

KELLY CThe truck was extremly clean and well maintained from this perspective. The truck had a check engine light on. Engine was making an unusual noise at times while idling. As I was not traveling far, this was not an issue but certainly would have been concerning if traveling out of Province.

MICHAEL ADue to the products for sale being so high it was difficult to see the customer service desk. No one took me to the vehicle I was renting, he just pointed to the side of the building. Unfortunately I got in the wrong truck and couldn't figure out how to start it. I had to go back in and get a salesman to take me to the correct truck. Then surprise I was able to start the truck, now that I had the truck to go with the key they gave me. The truck had not been cleaned or washed since it came back from the last person who rented it. Passenger side door cup holder was dirty. Other than that the inside was clean, except driver's floor mat had dirt on it. The truck ran great and I enjoyed driving it. I returned it a day earlier than expected and I was not charged for the day that I didn't have it. The salesman on duty when I picked up and returned the truck were very nice and polite. They seemed very knowledgeable and offered additional products that I might need. They answered all my questions. Other than the minor things it was a great experience overall.

JOHN MLearning upon arrival that I couldn't leave my car for the length of my couple hours rental was terrible. Furthermore, being told to drive "up around back" somewhere but not in the lot was the only place I could park. Why have designated customer parking if it's not for the use of the customer. I had to park at the mall and walk back to the location which set me off schedule by 30mins. Also, when I booked online with my visa debit as I accepted on the website, I was told at check in that I needed a credit card and couldn't use that payment.

raddad aManager was very rude and almost seemed annoyed that we were even there. Recieved misinformation, was lied to and set up for more grief when we returned truck. If was possible to rent a truck like a uhaul elsewhere, I would never give this company another dollar.

Was told I could get 1 month free storage promo but refused (no trucks available to go one way, was told if I rent and return to same place they would honour 1 month free promo - they did not). Was told I could rent a 1 way trailer next day and get extension of 1 month free after paying one month - they refused this after I rented trailer. Overall very poor communication and very poor customer service in Charlottetown.

Eliane LEngine light came on during move. Loud rattle when driving. Asked for emergency contact info even though I had filled out the online form. Said there was glitch in the system. Drop off after hours was convenient but took a lot of time to take all the photos and upload. Unsure if proper parking location-wasn't explained super well. Deal representative was polite and efficient.

The website was also terrible when booking. I had no idea if I was getting free KMs or needing to pay and how much the total would be. What a mess.

philippe bI have rented various sized lockers over the past number of years and had no problems whatsoever. My locker was never broken into or had water / pest damage so very grateful. Counter service was excellent. I will be back if I ever need storage space again.

When I was trying to locate the locker which would be the size I needed, I was met with a condescending remark which was uncalled for. When you try to call the office during hours of operation, you can hardly ever reach anyone.

And the second one is to let custumers go through the building from the back to the front instand of having to have to walk around the building. When you are tired it's a lot. But it's just suggestions because the team was really helpful, kind and friendly.

I had a key break in a lock, ice buildup, snow getting into my locker due to broken weather striping to name a few issues. Each time I tried to speak with staff I was met with rude attitude and basically treated like I was a pain for interrupting their day. Ultimately, I decided to move out because of the treatment and that fact that I was locked out of my locker for 2 weeks after being 2 days late on my rent. I truly hope others don't experience the nightmare I had.

Took it back and they told me it was just new and needed to be opened and closed a few time. Then to only find out when unloading storage lock wouldn't open again and I went to complain again only to be handed a torch. They said it was frozen due to the weather. It had nothing to do with it being frozen it was the lock it's self that should have been replaced the first day I bought it.

There was a cotton mattress protector on it, and the mattress itself was fine. But water/dampness came from somewhere. The access hours were fine, but I wish we could have moved out of the unit at 10pm the night before. It was open early enough when we did move. Merci!

Charlottetown PE by far was the worst for storage. Lost all my furniture because of poor construction on the rear of the building it flooded . I can honestly say that I will never use uhaul again for storage. Also wherever I go I will tell people about my experience especially people that I consider to be my friends. I received no compensation at all. One young guy on the service desk was very ignorant but he was very smart no people skills Looing into a lawyer now and especially the media.
