I have used this Chico facility several times and have not been disappointed. The staff was friendly, curious, and helpful upon receiving my trailer return. When the need arises, I will certainly use them again. I highly recommend this location.

They did not check the tires or vehicle to ensure safety. Roadside assistance also took around 7 hours to show up when needed. The faulty equipment made our cross country move a miserable experience. I would not recommend going to the Chico uhaul since they seemed to be careless and need to check their vehicles and equipment better.

The 10 ft truck that I rented was pretty torn up. It had a broken sun visor, the slipcovers for the seats were not fastened well, and it was just a very beat-up vehicle. The driver's side door would not close well, I had to slam it several times before it would be secure. I feel like it was not a truck in good shape as the ones we have rented in the past. The employee that I worked with was very professional and helpful with my check-in and check-out. Everything was great except the truck itself, but it was available on time and got the job done.

Workers were slow, more interested into talking to their coworkers than helping staff. And kept us out in the 116° heat for 15 minutes plus. They kept saying just use the app instead of helping us turn in our truck during normal business hours

I reserved a 15' truck but when I went to pick it up the person at the counter said I reserved a 20' truck which was $10 difference in price. She acted as if I made a mistake, but my reservation details showed that it was actually a 15' truck. I guess this is how you make a "little more" here and there. Not a good practice if you want return business.

Over the past couple of weeks I've rented a 6x12 heavy duty drop gate trailer twice and a car trailer once. The first time the drop gate was delivered to me with under inflated tires; one was missing a valve stem cap. The second time I got the same trailer and the tires were still under inflated and the valve stem cap was still missing, even though I'd reported both problems when I checked the trailer back in. The trailer bed was also dirty, with gravel, landscape bark, and engine oil on the floor. There were no problems with the auto trailer, but check in was a nightmare. There was only one customer in the store when I arrived, and an associate was helping him. They seemed to be going back and forth over something or another with the transaction, which took a long time and the help of two other associates. By the time my turn came I'd been standing there over half an hour, and three new customers had also been waiting behind me. It was a very hot day (over 100F) and the inside of the store was uncomfortably warm. I was able to get what I needed done with the trailers, but will try another U-Haul branch if I ever need another rental.

Love the drop off line, didn't even have to get out of my truck and they took the trailer a day early no problems. For 48 bucks, would definitely rent again.

I had an overall great experience with the U-Haul U-Boxes and would use that service again. The only stressful part was learning that my move was taking place during a busy weekend, so I was stressing that my boxes would not arrive on the day I selected, but everything worked out as I wanted to and U-Haul made sure my boxes got delivered the day I wanted to. Overall simple process and the delivery ladies were very kind and professional when delivering and picking up my boxes.

The UHaul website runs VERY slow. I actually started looking for other options while it was loading... but lucky for UHaul the other local dealer didn't have the trailer size in stock. I overheard other customers talking about the slowness of the website too.

When your computer system goes down…have a back up plan. Teach Jason @ Chico to better handle the down situation. Also, when down assign waiting customers #'s so that when the system does come up, first in get taken care of first and in order.

Got a call a day after I returned my vehicle to ask when I was returning it as it was late. They then officially sent me my return email an hour later with no follow up or apology for the confusion and mistake on their part!

I was given a gasoline guide that tells you how much to put in the tank based on where your gas line was after using and it was completely inaccurate. I put way too much gas in and they told me there was no refund or anything they can do which I understand but they do this to get free gas. Very frustrating

Couldn't have gone better. Deliveries and pick ups happened on time as scheduled. The container was very good quality and well built. Very easy to load and unload. Shipped across country and everything arrived undamaged and exactly as I packed it up. I highly recommend the UBox service.

To improve your service you can not charge me for going one extra mile over the limit considering I had to drive from the pick-up location to another location to get an appliance dolly that I reserved since the original location did not have one. Also I drove several miles to another town to save a few dollars when I could have returned the truck down the street at the local dealership. So I'm not overly happy.

The customer service from Lauren (Assistant Manager?) was phenomenal. I watched her keep a patient and professional demeanor while she had her hands full with a long line outside, at the equipment return/checkout, and inside at the check-in desk. She went above and beyond to make sure my vehicle trailer rental was return without hassle. Lauren offered to help me without hesitation when I had issues making the uhaul app work on my phone, despite the fact that it was after the locations open hours and she was on her way out the door. It is far too often that customer service lacks at these rental locations, but I was pleasantly surprised here. Promote and retain!

they never answered the phone they were cool nice and clean but it was a misunderstanding when I book my U-Haul and they told me that I have a fix it at the location I got it from and I just never answered the phone and I never got the issue resolved and I just I didn't like that customer service sucks me personally I was like go Home Depot or someone else because U-Haul is real ghetto this is second time I run the truck for him and it's just been a whole lot of bad customer service at the 100 number & with this company.

The location associate that assisted me was Cooper. He was courteous and professional. Although I had a long wait in line (had a reservation at 9:30 AM; I got to the counter at 10:15 AM), once at the counter, the pick-up went quick and fast and I was on my way with the trailer rental.

Tried telling me my Chevy Silverado 2500hd Duramax wasn't big enough to tow a transport trailer. I had to sit there and argue with them until they called their manager and he said it wasn't any problem. Upon looking at the contract, she was inputting my truck as a gas truck, instead of diesel, in which is expressed multiple times. 10 000 lb hitch receiver with a 7 500 lb ball on a Duramax somehow wasn't big enough? Wasted my time on something that was absolutely ridiculous because they couldn't comprehend what a diesel was.

Good Afternoon, I am writing this email to complain about the unbelievable "damage" charge that was added to my recent bill. I rented and took possession of my Chevrolet pickup truck on Friday the 24th of May 2024. I used this vehicle to deliver a load of used furniture to the Salvation Army facility in Chico, and then to simply move boxes from one storage unit to another nearby, also in Chico. I turned the truck in on Sunday May 26 at 9:00 AM. During the entire two-day rental I recall no incidents of scrapping, rubbing, or any activities that would account for two small black vertical marks on the driver's side rear wheel well area. I did not tie anything down or use any brackets. Nevertheless, I was charged $79,48 for these marks. Unfortunately, I did not do a complete examination of the vehicle before using it-and even if I had done so, I would not have bothered with mentioning these small marks. This is, after all, a utility pickup truck, not a Mercedes sedan. In its routine use for trash hauling, dump runs, construction site work and the like, it cannot be expected to remain in pristine condition. The "damage" was noted and photographed after I had left the lot. Is there a possibility that this practice is routine, and a way for the local UHaul business to pad bills? Is there a possibility that the same "damage" has been noted and charged to multiple prior renters? I had no choice but to acknowledge the charges when I left the store. However, I was not happy, and I am not satisfied. As a loyal UHaul customer with a previous high level of satisfaction, I would like to see the damage charge of $79,48 credited back to my credit card account, please.

I was misinformed about the prices and the sizes, I was told that the container I reserved would fit my couch, bed, dresser, etc. but when I got there it was tiny. I was also supposed to have a pick up truck reserved for that day to take the container to my house to load my things but that was never made, even though i confirmed it the previous day. The people there were unengaged and unhelpful and nothing was explained properly. I will not be coming back to this establishment and I do not recommend it to anyone else. They are unorganized, unhelpful and unwilling to listen to your questions and concerns. They were rude and rushed through the contract process. I was forc ed to change my entire plan on the day I was moving out because of their incompetence and rude attitudes.

This particular location was tricky to find but once found had plenty of parking everything seemed to be orderly. The only drawback I experienced with this location was the wait times once in the office we're a little ridiculous. At my U-Haul location when I work there in the mornings when we were very busy it was all hands on deck even my supervisor my manager and guys from the shop all came to the front end to make sure the minimal amount of processing time for the customers on the front end was addressed. This was not happening at this particular location. Other than this, the wait times, the service was good.

I rented a dolly and it wasn't there. I had a reservation and self check in and it took a hour to get the truck. Counter guy did not help or expedite this process. Truck was parked all the way in back between other trucks and storage. I got zero assistance getting it out. When I called back to get dolly, turned out you didn't have any, but no one could adjust my price and reservation, nor could they find me one. Just horrible experience overall. Truck was fine…

The quarter gas.tank return is a fraud. It's designed to make it harder to return the van with the accurate amount of fuel so the tendency is to return it with more gas. I know that this is not a local regulation so I blame corporate. GO BACK TO THE FULL TANK!

Truck had a bunch of sand in it when I received it. Upon returning, they made me stand outside in the cold with them while they sat in the truck and checked the mileage. Kept asking me pointless questions like "what was the original projected mileage?" That doesn't matter when you have the actual mileage right in front of you!

It might be helpful to tenants to stay open for access to the units 24/7, this would add a good convenience, especially since ghe units are secured, alarmed and have insurance options available. But over all its secure clean and organized.

The unit I rented said that I could fit a 2-3 bedroom home in it, which was wildly inaccurate. I had to scramble around to find a new place and the professionals at other storage rentals said there was no way to store a 2-3 bedroom home in the unit Uhaul suggested either. Very misleading and very stressful.

I needed and reserved a 26 foot truck in Roseville, CA for 2days for $93 if I dropped off the Uhaul in Uba city CA. So the next day I got dropped off from Chico, Ca to Roseville U-Haul to find out They gave away my truck and had to give me a ride to a different uhaul store were I was told had the truck I needed but didn't. The only thing they had was a 20 foot truck which I felt forced to take. And Now it would be $164 and still would have to take it to Uba city. I had to make 2 trips instead of one which took another 2days plus all the gas....it was a complete nightmare and cost me soooooo much money I did not plan for.

Everyone is friendly and helpful and I barely visited my unit, knowing that it was secure. It's nice and clean. I like having a unit inside of the facility building. Also when I rented the car trailer- a cheerful and capable young lady hooked the whole thing up to my pickup for me, and went through the safety check. When I returned it later I didn't even get out of the truck! Chico uhaul is top notch.

The communication at the facility was fair. But in all fairness, they were very busy. The explanation of how to enter the security code was not clear. There are two locations at the site. All this being said, they did their best to assist me. I think the confusion is that I reserved the space online and not at the desk. The Chico, CA Office and the branch manager there was very helpful, courteous and professional, in which I will use this facility again. However, the phone number to get a hold of U-Haul's customer service and/or to pay my monthly bill had very long wait times that lasted over an hour sometimes. U-haul needs to revamp their customer service line, in order to drastically reduce the wait time over the phone.

The customer service is absolutely horrible and nonexistent. I will never use this uhual again. Was never offered any discounts or refunds for any of my inconveniences, which were many, and caused hours and hours of delay in moving. Because of lack of organization and communication I had to rent two units instead of one, which were completely across the entire storage facility making it even more inconvenient when moving and organizing my items.

The first I had was a rented cargo van totally dirty outside mud on lower half and inside both seats had long dog hair he said there was quarter tank of gas so I got in drive it down to first light smelling strong gas inside when the light and alarm told me I was low on gas stopped down at tower market on park and fair put 35 dollars in almost 9 galsdrove to old mall on east ave then home 1st ave west and tank was on saying I was empty. Next day got in van drove down towards the esplanade when the voice and alarm said i was low on gas. So i drove back to the uhaul place was told they just fix the gas leak will it wasnt fixed ask what they could do for me about the thirty five dollars I put in gas said I'll have to sendin that I did and what happen and I ended up with a 3/4 truck and everything was a lot better.is there anyway I can keep the truck tell mon could do hardly nothing the first two days with all the problems .please let me know thank you kathy toledo 5303212964 Toledo1932@gmail.com

I had reserved one of the indoor, climate control storage units on-line. When I went in to pay for the unit it turned out to be an outside one. Bronson said that there were supposed to be two units inside that were going to be emptied that day or the next and that he would keep my reservation open and call me as soon as they were available. I got a call that afternoon and was able to take care of the check in over the phone. I really appreciated the extra time that Bronson spent to make sure that I got a nice unit! I will always recommend this U-Haul for any moving or storage needs! Great people and pleasant experience!!

Used this facility a few times in the last month. People were always nice and helpful. I chose this place to rent our truck and a storage everything always went smoothly. Would recommend this place cause there hours are good, other places that were closer weren't open on weekends or opened late or closed early.

Storage was fine. I reserved a truck in advance to move. I went to pick up the truck and you sent me across town to pick one up and they didn't have one either. This is the second time this happened.
