I believe U-Haul has the best service providers in Columbia and I can't think of anything else that you can do to improve on except to give customer a ride to the location.

Shane Schmid was absolutely wonderful to us as we waited for a replacement truck and movers to move our belongings from a faulty truck to a new one.

24 hour rental is really 23,5 hours since 0,5 hour is needed to go through the U-Haul checklist on their app once you get to the rental. That should not be included in the renters time.

Elizabeth Parra was extremely pleasant, accommodating, and answered all my questions while securing my last minute rental needs. Upon return Maximilian was very polite and pleasant. I would definitely use the Columbia store again.

The General Manager Shane was excellent, I had some challenges where my truck broke down and I needed to extend my trailer rental, he was glad to help and was a professional. I got to witness him training a new employee which was a young man and Shane was very patient and was coaching his new employee with a very positive attitude. This location is not a close uhaul store to me and there are others but I will certainly make the hour trip just so I get the valued customer service that Shane delivers. You are a lucky company to have him representing your organization.

With a lot full of new vehicles, I was given one with over 149 000 miles on it. Seat covers ripped, dented so badly an inspection was a joke. But that is par for the course. Being given a vehicle with less than half a tank is simply unacceptable. It is an ANALOG float and NOT accurate at all. Meanwhile, I am stressed about my move. Truck with little gas? Really?

Location pickup and drop off were fine. Reservation with 1-800-gouhaul not so good. Reserved for 2 days over the phone. When I checked the reservation confirmation is was for only 1 day. I then had to reserve elsewhere, 47 miles one way further. Cost me 3hrs travel time and $50 gas more for this change. If the reservation was correct initially, I could have the pickup and drop off 5 miles from my home.

The check out process was a headache and entirely too long. Charge one flat rate for daily rentals vs. per mile. The guy behind the counter was slow and higher than giraffe nuts.

I reserved a 17' truck online for pick up in Colchester CT. They did not have the truck. I had to drive an extra 20 miles to get a 15' van. Your website should have an updated inventory for each location.

This team was awesome from beginning to end! I was truly impressed with the customer service, facility and their flexibility. It's rare to find such a great group of individuals who all go out of their way for customer's to have a great experience and remain pleasant each time. Five stars isn't enough but they deserve every one!

You should not take a picture of a customer's drivers license...it promotes opportunities for cyber fraud. I was very reluctant to allow that but had no alternative. I also do not understand why you needed the name and phone # of my friend who was with me that day..That implied a distrust of me as a customer.

This U-Haul is amazing. They have been so helpful with us. We had to move because of a fire and they were willing to help all of us who were displaced. I recommend this U-Haul to anyone

Kinda sucked there was no light inside my unit. Was extremely dark inside the unit. Payed 200 dollars a month and couldn't get a light in the unit. Other then that everything was fine.

Paperwork took a long time to complete. Very friendly staff clean trucks. I rented a lot to U-Hauls in my lifetime. This is one of the better places to rent them.

Reserving the unit was quick and easy. The service I e person I worked with was very good and helpful, but I felt he was a bit condescending to me because I'm a woman.

The staff was friendly enough, but it took forever(!) to get a storage unit due to the person not knowing their job. When closing out my unit early the woman just said I did not get any money refunded and could've easily explained they do not pro-rate, but I was left to wonder and had to research it myself.

Lovely and well managed! My stuff was in a temperature controlled unit for a year and was fine. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom facilities were extremely clean as well. This was at the Colombia CT UHaul.

My items were in good shape and in safe condition at this UHaul however I received poor customer service. I was unfairly penalized for an error that was not my fault and was not provided a refund. I would like for UHaul to be better about communicating the information for setting up a storage unit and to double-check that the information they have entered is correct. This error on the part of UHaul cost me almost $100. I am not a satisfied customer.

I had to move unexpectedly and quickly. I learned of the storage availability when I picked up the U-Haul truck the night before. It was very convenient, as I didn't have to worry about finding somewhere else to store my belongings. I entered the store on a busy Saturday morning. Shane was very patient and accommodating, and was able to sense that i was in a difficult and sensitive situation. I was there to unload a 20' truck by myself. (My 14 yo son came later to help move things to the 2 storage units i rented). Shane offered water and checked on me periodically, and even helped to move some heavy items. He suggested locks for the units and plastic covers for the mattresses. In a whiwind day that was difficult, the kindness and compassion he showed made a situation that could have been traumatic not nearly as bad.

The doors and locking mechanisms worked well. The rest room facilities were a huge plus. Ground floor unit 1905 had occasional moisture at floor in rear, likely from rain or snow melt in parking lot.

Its really hard to answer the above questions. The storage was ok. No elevator bugs got into my daughters belongings. Understaffed computer system is always down. Staff could care less.
