Marsha C | Online Move InThe manager I believe his name was Shane but don't quite recall but everyone there was beyond extremely rude in Columbia CT. He even had the nerve to yell at us when we called back when he didn't make what was discussed right. Also be aware that UHaul offers movers on their website and they will take no responsibility for the movers they put on their website. If you're not willing to back what you offer on your website you should never offer them Uhaul!! You lost a long time customer today and you know what you did was wrong on so many levels. He needs fired or at least retrained for his customer experience response as screaming and saying "that it's not his problem." And they went as far as to still charge us for pads that were returned and never even unpacked. Customer service was also no help and simply typed up a "compliant" which I feel will go nowhere. At this rate I doubt uhaul will be in business much longer with people running the show like this.
Christopher NI inserted debit card and accepted a charge of $26.54. Then apparently the employee had me sign something about condition and plate number in pictures. He never said it was safe tow for extra $5. U-Haul charged me twice and it was unauthorized and fraudulent.

Marsha CI made a reservation online to have a hitch and wiring installed. The website was user friendly. I received a call from uhaul once my parts were in and to confirm my reservation. (nice customer service!) Everything went without a hitch (no pun intended) primarily due to the install technician Devon keeping me updated and doing a great job! There is another uhaul location much closer to me but because of this seamless transaction, I will make the drive to Columbia's location for all my uhaul needs. Devon should get a raise! Such a nice young man. It's refreshing to get such excellent service.

ANDREAS HWas scheduled to drop off my truck off 20 miles away from my location. But had uhauls much closer to my location. I was unable to change drop off location. I ended up paying 100 dollars extra for mileage.
Angela HI had a great experience with this Uhaul location and can understand all of the great reviews, which is not typical for other uhauls. Shane and Devon were both very helpful and went above and beyond to answer all my questions. Devon installed a hitch on my sport utility vehicle and even put the bike rack on that they sold within the store. One stop shopping made easy. No pressure. Just simple transaction. Thanks to you both.

Kwaadwo DIt was a nightmare returning the truck after hours. There was no barcode anywhere to scan to verify we were returning the truck on time. We wasted > half an hour (in the cold), not knowing if Uhaul had the info that the truck was returned to the correct location on time. Was planning on calling the next day to fight the $20 charge before I noticed on the receipt that the $20 charge was not there. Not happy.

I enjoyed using the ap to reserve my reservation and was very easy to process the rental upon my arrival. Then the return was that much more enjoyable. Very much impressed on the ap feature and the rental process, I regularly rent and this time has been by far my best experience.

I would like for UHaul to be better about communicating the information for setting up a storage unit and to double-check that the information they have entered is correct. This error on the part of UHaul cost me almost $100. I am not a satisfied customer.

It was very convenient, as I didn't have to worry about finding somewhere else to store my belongings. I entered the store on a busy Saturday morning. Shane was very patient and accommodating, and was able to sense that i was in a difficult and sensitive situation. I was there to unload a 20' truck by myself. (My 14 yo son came later to help move things to the 2 storage units i rented). Shane offered water and checked on me periodically, and even helped to move some heavy items. He suggested locks for the units and plastic covers for the mattresses. In a whiwind day that was difficult, the kindness and compassion he showed made a situation that could have been traumatic not nearly as bad.
