The gentleman who checked us in was rude. I had submitted my express check in paperwork when I made my reservation. This guy made me repeat each of those same steps at the time of my check in which defeats the purpose of doing it online. I questioned him and he stated he had to follow the new rules sarcastically. He then took 10 minutes to ask for all of my original information again which is huge time waster and he seemed to enjoy keeping me waiting. I think each U-Haul employee should have a name badge.

I rented a tandem wheel cargo trailer with ramp. When I got home and started loading I noticed both rear tires were low on air. One had 15 lbs of air and the other one 0 lbs, flat! Also the electrical wiring for the lights was dragging on the ground. There was even an old electrical harness that had been dragged from a previous time and was damaged beyond repair. It too was dragging on the pavement. I had to cut that off. Luckily I had a small air compressor to fill the tires up. Upon returning I told the young man disconnecting the trailer what had happened and he was surprised it was let out on the road because it had been flagged for repair. I went to pay and spoke to the manager about it and he didn't seem to care. He just charged me the full price without even an apology. Terrible customer service. I will return because it's close and they always have what I need.

I was not able to rent a trailer due to my vehicle not having electrical hook ups, that was ok. When we realized this the lady helping me said that I could just leave and she would refund my card. That was not true, I was called and told to come back which I was not able to do until Tuesday. When I arrived at the location for my refund, no one was there. The store was open, I wandered all over inside the building looking for help for about ten minutes, I even went into the hitch installing area and looked at all the tools and equipment, and found no one. Finally I find someone out back behind the building and demand help, same lady who told me it was ok to leave. The Regional Manager came to help me, no greeting just dirty looks and as I saw him the lady yells out to him in a deragotory was “that’s him”. Rude. I expected the Manager to be nice and maybe apologetic for the confusion. Not the case. By far he was the worst person I encountered at this location, this is your Regional Manager? Or is he just wearing someone else’s shirt? At the end of the transaction he literally threw my credit card back at me. I have never encountered someone who is supposed to be a leader and representative of a brand act so petty and unprofessional. I hope someone actually reads this and can sympathize with the way I was treated, but then again that was one of your leaders so I can’t expect much.

Workers did a great job handling the line and checking me in. Software could use some help. I used to work for a private Uhaul dealer and I remember how the website would constantly fail to load new screens and not save changes. Apparently this is still an issue. Either way, staff fought through it with a smile. Also, upon my return there was a huge line. A nice girl advised me to skip the line and just put the key in a drop box. They will vouch that I was on time. That was huge. When you're moving you have better things to do than sit in a huge line. Great job Uhaul.

The truck had cooking grease on the ramp we used to load the rear of the truck. When I pulled the ramp out to it was mess and obviously a safety issue on account it was so slippery and disgusting to walk on. I spent quite a long time trying to remove the cooking grease from the ramp and it put the entire moving process way behind sxhedule. After extensive cleaning we were able to safely use the ramp. Upon returning the ramp into the holder when we were leaving the residual grease had left a 12" grease spot on the concrete where the ramp met the concrete, a real mess. Because of the unexpected cleaning prior to using the ramp we were put behind schedule and subsequently it was dark when we arrived at out unloading destination. When I attempted to use the inside light so we could see our cargo the light was inoperable. After several attempts to turn the light on I finally abandoned the light and we proceeded to off load in the dark. This was laborious and unsafe on account of it was pitch dark and we did not ha prepare for this. if we knew in advance that the truck needed cleaning of the cooking grease prior to us using and the time delay of this we would not have had to work in the dark. FYI I did call UHAUL to report the issue within an hour of the rental. To answer the above question what can UHAUL do to improve? How about doing a safety check prior to renting your vehicles to the public. All of these issues were SAFETY in nature and completely avoidable. NO EXCUSES.

The trailer was missing a handle for lifting the hitch up. And there was no replacement trailer available. Had a flat tire on the trailer 1 hour into our journey. The store had signs with arrows pointing you where to go to drop off the truck. I followed those and told I was going the wrong way. I told the associate there were signs directing me. He said there was not. I took him over to the signs and he said well they shouldn’t be there. Then they told me I was at the wrong drop off location. They were wrong as I showed them the paperwork. Then the asked me if I was going to put more gas in the truck as there was not enough. I showed them the paperwork again then they said oh never mind. Lastly, they said my milleage was wrong but I showed them pics I took of the odometer before. Then they said oh we had the wrong truck on their check in device that is why nothing matched up. It was a bit on an unnecessary fiasco. I have rented from the drop off location before and never had these problems. I guess the associates that were there that day were just a mess.

The only problem experienced was with the "uhaul app" to do the express 24/7 check-in not working properly even for the uhaul employee inside the store. I have rented on 3 seperate occasions and each time there was an issue with that app glitching so I am mentioning this . Other than that I am very pleased with uhaul and would reccommend them and will do business with uhaul again.

The U-Haul staff was professional and helpful. I contracted two different moving companies/helpers for the load and unload. The first company for the load, New Dawn Moving Services, were great! Daniel and Justice were amazing! The second company, Reliable Helpers, never showed up. The manager, George, couldn't get a hold of them and couldn't find replacements. This pushed my move back one day which was highly inconvenient and costed me more money due to the additional day. I will be disputing the additional charges and will take this matter up with Movinghelp.com

When I rented the van the gas gage was not quite on the half mark. So when I put the gas back I filled it right back to the way I got the van and I was charged 5.50. Not happy about that. Before renting the vehicles you all should make sure that the Cascades is all the way on the half mark. Because I was told to return it the same way that I seen the Gage and it was not all the way on the half mark.

I reserved a 10-ft truck, got confirmed that I had the reserved. Picked up on the day of and was told they did not have the 10-footer. BUT WAIT THERES MORE. They can rent me a 25-footer for a lot more. Plain bait and switch. You suck!!!!

Did not get the truck we reserved several day ahead of time. Spent 45 minutes waiting to get another truck. We returned the truck to Glendale Ca 5 hours later. The mileage was 20,000 more than the original truck had, and we were going to get charged for this mistake. The truck was stated to have 1/4 tank of gas when we got it. It was on empty and we put $30 of gas in to get our job done. We took it back with 1/4 tank. Not a good experience, with the time spent and agony to get this resolved. I spent hours on hold trying to reach someone to help us. The Glendale U haul was supposed to research all this and send us an email. We still have not heard back from them. Totally unhappy with this experience, and we are still owed money...

When we went to pick up r U Box in Corona Ca, no one knew how to check out a U Box they had to call someone on the phone to figure it out and after an hour they finally had my son hook up to the U Box and my son had to explain to the employee how to get the Box ready to leave and the employee was all excited to learn from a customer. Then they asked us to drop the Box off at the Riverside U Haul the next day which was fine , but when we got there they had no idea we were coming , which Corona U Haul never told them. Fast forward to May 3rd i get an email saying my U Box is at the Schofield lot and someone from there will call me to set up a time to pick it up so i wait 5 days and NO CALL or email NOTHING so i call Schofield and no one answers and i try again later cuz i understand it might of been busy there and still NO ONE answers, So i call the 800 # and she tells me just go there since i was in that area anyway . We arrive at the Schofield U Haul and wait for someone to help us and here comes Rude guy # 1 who is mad that his shift is over and i came there without an appointment so he trys to get someone else to help us but that guy is to busy so Rude guy #1 tells me that the other guy there was gonna call me on Monday ( tomorrow ) to set up my appointment ( almost a full week later after my U Box had arrived there ) and to top it off Rude guy #1 has NEVER done a U Box before so this turns into a mess ..then he call Rude guy #2 who walk him through it ..finally my son get to hook up to the Box but not without Rude guy #2 telling him that I'm lucky he is giving MY stuff today bcuz he was gonna call me tomorrow and he didnt have to give me the Box today and that my son Better remember to drive HIS trailer at 55 MPH and no more and to have it back on time!! I will NEVER and a mean NEVER give my business and hard earned money to U Haul again . We used them 4 times in the past 2 yrs and the 1st and 2nd time were good but the last 2 were Horrible.

Customer service told me that the package plan for $79 included 34 miles without having to refuel. They gave me the truck with less than 1/4 tank and said I needed to return it with the same fuel. So it forced me to get gas before hand. Truck has dog hair inside. They charged me 12$ for fuel which did not make sense as the meter looked the same as when I rented the vehicle.

This location is one of my favorites, so I have no complaints about the facility or employees. For the first time, I tried the new check out procedure where you do it all from your smartphone. What a joke! They claim it makes the rental check out process quicker and easier. It had me upload a headshot and photos of my driver license. Then somebody reviews them to continue with my check out. I waited well over 5 minutes and nobody reviewed my uploads. I gave up and went inside, but the employee told me that they couldn’t handle the check out because it was a remote check out and was already in progress. It eventually showed that the check out was completed, and the employee gave me my key (the online video shows the keys distributed by a box - the whole process is supposed to make it so you don’t have to go in the store or wait in line. I guess you still have to wait to pick up the key - at least at this location). The video also shows that the app will ask you to upload photos of the mileage, fuel level and overall condition upon rental, but that never happened either. I did take my own though. You’re not given a contract when renting this way, and there doesn’t seem to be a way of viewing it online either. That’s a huge oversight on U-Haul’s part. All in all, I’ll stick to renting in person instead of remotely in the future. Way too many flaws in the system at this point.

More information. Clearer explanations. Your trailers are poorly designed and too wide. Your trailers are antiquated and haven't kept up with freeway lane width changes. It is way too difficult to keep your trailers within a lane on the freeway. The State of California varies lane widths down to between 10 feet and l2 feet. Your trailers need to be redesigned to stay within a 10 foot wide lane. In short your trailers are a traffic hazard.

The online reservation process was very quick and easy to get through. But the online pick up process took almost 25 minutes after I arrived at the facility before I left with the truck. I’m guessing you were maybe understaffed on a busy Saturday morning because I eventually was able to communicate online and move things along. I could have just as easily gone inside at the rental place and waited in line to pick up my truck.

I arrived and the attendant outside checked my returned truck. He mentioned that I was $70 short on gas. I told him I was tired and he took $20 cash and said he would take care of it. Now I see on my bill that there’s a $70 gas charge. There was a gas station right across the street! What a rip-off. I’m very disappointed and I’d only go back to give that guy a piece of my mind!

The service was very slow it took me 45 minutes to get checked out and when I brought the trailer back I was took it was going to take them 20-30 minutes to disconnect me. I was give the option of disconnecting the trailer myself so I did. That to me is some very poor customer service.

I rented a uhaul truck from this location about 1 month ago and the customer service/experience was very poor. My rental was paid for using my >>Bank Of America Debit Card<< which was charged a total of 3 times.. 2 charges in the amount of $272 and 1 final charge in the amount of $172.. i was told by employee Stephanie Ponce that my rental amount would be $172 but since i was choosing to pay with a Debit card instead of a credit card i would be paying a $100 fee making the total $272 (From my understanding you would only be charged a $100 fee when using an un-recognized or 3rd party type of Credit Card). During the process i was offered un-explained coverage options which were presented as "do you want the $14 or $28 insurance" (This was my 1st time renting a uhaul and had no idea about what the 2 coverage options provided or what the difference was between the 2). The rentals Fuel Level should be at 5/16 before leaving a uhaul location.. Once the rental was given to me i pointed out that it was below that level, the employee chose to highlight in blue marker the actual level of the fuel on my paperwork which did not distinguish or note anything about the fuel level being lower then company standard. Also the employee did not have me sign a single piece of paperwork which i later noticed upon reviewing the rental paperwork (my signature was required on the "safemove, paperwork as well as the initial rental paperwork). There was also previous overhead damage to the rental which the location is currently attempting to charge me for, (with this damage being overhead it would be nearly impossible for the customer to see) although i didn't hit anything im sure its due to the fact that did not choose to go with the $28 insurance therefore leaving me open to potential "charges for damamages". Deffinately would not rent from this location again due to this horrible customer service. I strongly suggest that Stephanie Ponce be re-trained on how to properly service customers especially with this particular location being a Corporate location.

i will give this place as good caz i had very good experiances before, jazzmin has been the best helping me since i rent a truck at least once a month but the last two times i had bad experiences, i got there at 7:05 and they were still not open when they are suppost to open at 7:00 5 persons were waiting, last time the person who made the contract was very good but they guy who pulled up the truck was the worst it was a young white guy i asked if we needed to verify gas and millage like i always do and initial the papers after verifying, and he said i have to keep eating my hamburger you are on your one and walked away.

I opted for the smartphone option because it said to skip the line and it would be faster. The "Awaiting Approval" process took longer than the people waiting in line. It was unacceptably long. I let the agent know I have movers showing up and I need to be on my way and she wouldn't respond promptly. I received the uhual with a half a tank of fuel and barely used a gallon and was charged $15 for fuel. Ridiculous. You can see from the photos that I didn't use hardly any fuel. I moved locally and barely moved the gage. I told I will likely never use Uhaul again.

Open with more than 1 employee to help cover the front desk. Dont start training new people when you have more than 4 people waiting in line. I was next in line & looked behind to see 8 more people waiting in line like myself who had a reservation for 7am i had to wait until 738 am i had deadlines to meet is why i reserved an early pick up. Drop off needs to be more organized. I was waiting in line to drop off the keys until i found the same employee who attended to me in the morning was i able to leave him the keys. I dont know his name but he remembered me even thou i got a haircut a few hours ago. He made me feel welcomed to come back just for his customer service.

I reserved my truck for 7am. I got a call at 5:30pm the day before saying their lockbox was broken so they would not be able to accommodate my pickup until they opened at 9am. I asked if an alternative location was available for early pickup. The woman told me she would check and call me back. She didn’t call back so I attempted to contact the store for an hour (until closing time). No answer- only to the call center. So unprofessional for the store not to call me back, I could have made alternate arrangements or gone with an entirely different company. I arrived at the store shortly before 9. There was only one person working period. He was checking out, checking in and getting trucks. I didn’t get my rental until 9:30. This whole fiasco put me behind by 2.5 hours total, which was unfortunate since one of my movers had to be gone early. I am so disappointed, especially for the price I paid. Will not be recommending u-haul to anyone.

everything was handled in a very efficient manner, especially the return process following dropping off the Uhaul after hours. I had to complete zero follow up and the notification and final bill was sent within minutes of their opening, which was appreciated as we moved out of state and a friend returned the truck..

Waited in an hour line, and when I got to checkout the associate neglected to tell me the price of my U-Haul until I was about to checkout. Because I changed my location to Van Nuys I was charged $84 a day, which is crazy! Also, I was told my truck would have 1/4 tank of gas, and I got in and it was empty. I have a picture of the mileage to prove it. Overall the experience was very irksome and didn’t make the moving process any less easier.

Have more than one person assisting customers. Line was backed up to the entrance door and it took over an hour to be able to pickup u-haul truck with a reservation. Also I reserved a vehicle trailer to haul my vehicle and when I showed up there was not one available within 30 miles. If equipment is not available do not allow customers to reserve one. Luckily i had an additional person to drive with me if not I would not have been able to drive both the u-haul and my vehicle during the move.

Truck smelled of methamphetamine (chemical smell), cigarettes, and a deodorizer. It was almost unbearable. I only had the truck a few hours. It was horrible. When I turned in the truck, the employees tried to charge me for two days/late fee. I rented the truck for 2 hours, paid the 24hour price. Returned the truck 2 hours and 10 minutes after pick up. When I asked about it, they said it was a mistake.... sounds more like an attempted scam. Employees did seem through and were friendly. Mostly disappointed in the truck. Can’t believe they continue to rent it to people.

Update available equipment for accuracy. I checked online for a specific trailer size which the sit said was available but 25 minutes later, on a slow day, it wasn't available when I got there. Worked out ok because manager gave me the next larger trailer at the same rate which was very nice.

Customer services skills need to be improved. The lady was rude and told us she didn’t haven’t uhauls we were looking for but we could rent the bigger more expensive one. Also she told us to call the 800 number so they can tell us where we could find another location instead of helping us locate another truck the size we needed. So I called and they told me the only place that had them was the location that I was just at just make a reservation and they have to give it to me so I made a reservation went back in the line was ridiculous we were in line for like 40 mins when I got up there the gentleman was rude and stated we don’t have and 10 foot truck vans or pick up trucks and I was thinking how did he know what I was here for OH the lady must have told him tell her and her husband we don’t have those anywho I told him well I have a reservation and it says you do have them and he says oh with his mouth drop open all wide. I don’t understand why people have to be so rude and not want to help that’s your job

The woman inside helping customers was extremely rude and was taking pictures of customers driver's licenses with her personal cell phone. Extremely long wait and rude service. I've used this uhaul location multiple times because it's conveniently located, and it's always awful. Clearly you're hiring terrible customer service people or your employees are really unhappy. Also, people shouldn't have to wait 20 or 30 minutes every time they patronize this location. Next time I will travel out of my way to avoid this place.

We had scheduled a truck with Budget (Costco discount) but literally as we were pulling into their parking lot they called and cancelled our order, saying they had no trucks. I always rent from u-haul, but the past two transaction were not that great. The places that I rented from were fine, but your rental system really needs some updating! at both palaces your system went down causing delays in rental, and time. I had people at my home waiting around for over an hour because of your poor system, and I was not able to pick up my scheduled truck when I needed it.

I was returning a trailer and parks next to her I even walked by and she never said a word. I finally went out and asked her she said just drop it off in the back.
