The whole van was dirty it had damages all around, the side door would not open because of the damages, at one point the van wouldn't move forward or backwards I had to cut it off and on so it would engage. I don't know what happened to uhaul but it used to be a reputable company. Get people who want to work & take care of the fleet. At this point I will not rent from them again ðŸ˜-JACQUELINE A.

Customer service specifically at the counter was subpar; clearly the employees don't like working there and commented as such. Trying to get them to do anything was like pulling teeth. The yard labor, though, was exceptional and helpful.James S.

My issue with uhaul started when I went to the location that I choose to pick up the truck, and first they didn't have the key of the truck, and after they found out the truck was actually broken, I had to go to another location to pick up, when I picked up my uhaul the tires were with low pressure, and the truck was dirty and with a bunch of maintenance alerts at the panel. I didn't fell save driving the truck, and I have to pay two hours of work for my movers, but they weren't moving anything, because I was late due the truck issues. very disappointing as uhaul is know by fair price and good quality, but not with me. this time I spent more than expected and more if I had to hire a moving company.Rogerio R.
Location from my original reservation was changed to this location (25 minutes from my original destination). Didnt realize until I got to the original drop off location (5 minutes from my original desitnation) Why this wasn't more clearly communicated is beyond me. The new drop off location shows business hours of up until 7pm. Having already made a detour to another location, I was still able to get here by 6:45, guess what, they were closed. Emoyees inside but nobody came out to hp me or the other person that came after me. I filled up the fuel to more than enough to bring it up to 3/4 - which is how much it was when I got it. Still, somehow I was charged for 5 gallons of fuel. Didnt want to do the key drop off for this reason, but when employees decide to close business 15 minutes prior to closing time, guess this is what happens. Google reviews for this location are par for the course in terms of my experience as well. I dropped the truck off on the 8th, and for some reason receipt shows it was returned on the 10th. Understand business was "closed" when I returned it, so that would make return date the 9th - so why the extra day...Basit G.
I went there in the morning to get car trailer. They did all paperwork and I asked if I can pick it up later. I've been told that is not a problem. When I came later back the trailer was not there and there was another shift. They had no clue that I made reservation before said they have to do it again from scratch and I have to pay it. I spent 45 min because she obviously didn't know how to cancel previous order. After two days I received phone call and the guy asked what time I'm coming to return trailer. I was surprised said I have one more day. That's what I pay for. I asked that gentleman if he did refund because they charged me twice for same thing and he got upset starting to call me "bro, let me do my job"... and he hang up on me. Very rude and unprofessional. They should train their staff better.PETR L.

I would not recommend the use of UHaul to anyone. In fact I would tell them to rent anywhere but Uhaul. I had to deal with 3 different locations before I finally got my truck. Then I come to find out I was billed 42 $for safe something that I did not choose. Spent 24 minutes on hold before I gave up. I will have to go to the location to get this corrected. The ONLY good thing about this location is Willy, the manager.Cindy K.
DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE EVER! They have the worst service at all. I reserved a 20" truck with 2 furniture dolly plus a utility cart. My order was confirmed, and guess what? When I arrived at this facility to get my truck, not only I couldn't check in online because their system sucks, but I had to wait in line to be attended, because they had only one person to attend all of us. The furniture dollies and utility car were supposed to be inside the truck, but at the time I was picking up my truck, they told me they didn't have any available although they confirmed my order a day before. The worst part is the manager Willy, he was so rude, disrespectful and unhelpful. He didn't care at all, I was talking to him asking a way to solve my problem, but he gave me his back and told his employees to no listen my worries and complains. It was an unacceptable behavior. I had 2 moving helpers which I was paying per hour, waiting for my truck, and Willy didn't do anything to help me, not even trying call other U-Haul units to find dollies, which I was able to pick up. I understand it's been difficult for all with the whole covid19 to get back to work at the same level it used to be, but a couple of things I must bring to your attention to move forward. I had a 1130AM reservation, while at the office system issues kept me there for at least 30 mins when finally got the truck, it was dirty, It was in bad shape, multiple engine and air sensor lights on at the dashboard, inside left sunshade is broken ( difficult and dangerous for the driver to perform ) There was a plastic cord ripped from the outside of the windshield which while driving was knocking at the passenger door. I was supposed to pick up in Miami Beach - NOT Miami. I made a reservation and received a confirmation call but when I showed up to pick up my truck I was told they do not do one way rentals. They also did not have the size truck that I had reserved. So I had to go out of my way to go to the 7th Ave location.David M.

First time renting from self storage and my husband's leg got trapped to the rotted wooden floor. His little finger got damaged while he tried to remove himself out from the hole. My husband had to be rushed to the hospital. At first, when I came to the office, the customer service was laughing at me and not taking me seriously while my husband was in pain. My experience was horrible, I was sent to a location where there was no one to be found, I wasted time. Then I had to go to another location to get the truck, and the customer service was terrible, she hardly spoke and as I was driving away they told me someone's belongings from the office where left in the car. The customer care, attention, and service has been poor through out this entire process. It's almost as if the employees know less than the customer (both NYC and MIA). What's worse, instead of admitting they don't know an answer to a question and saying they will find out; they provide inaccurate information that someone else refutes with more incorrect information. A never ending cycle. Will make sure not to recommend cross country services to anyone I know.Daniel F.

Customer was bad. We arrived there a lady was at the door not one time did she say can we help you. All she said to use was leave the keys in the uhaul and I'll check it in. Then she didn't check it until the next day after calling asking when was we bring the uhaul.SHARTONYA S.
Basically the lady lied about the rates the plan everything the mileage when I got back to return the truck it was a lot more than we talked about or agreed about or on the first set of paperwork they threaten to call the police on me which is a shame because I'm used you guys a lot maybe not in my name but but I will never go to that location again no one was wearing masks while they had them on but not covering their face The truck was really scary to drive it kept pulling to one side of the street found out that the tires were almost flat only had 20 pounds passenger front 30 pounds and passenger rear after I pump them up at my shop The truck was a little better but there was a check engine light on the truck got very bad gas mileage it would not shift into the higher gears even though I had it in overdrive and everybody work there made me feel like a piece of shit and they were kind of intimidating definitely would not recommend it worst Experience I ever had with a rental company you will never see me againKevin C.

The staff were all helpful and did whatever they could to accommodate us. I had a great experience except for one detail which was not the fault of the employees at the store. When I called to reserve the storage unit I spoke to someone at the call center. This gentleman was very impatient and he kept cutting me off when I tried to speak. I explained to him that I was looking for a ground level unit because I had knee surgery and couldn't do stairs. He told me that he only had a 2nd floor unit and assured me multiple times on the call that this storage facility has an elevator and that I should be fine. That was a lie. I couldn't even change my location because there were no other spaces available at other locations. I had to carry all my belongings up 2 flights of stairs with a bad knee. My storage unit was riddled with mice and their droppings. I didn't have any food items for them to eat like i was advised, yet the were in boxes eating my books. I only hope this kind of experience is only happening at that location (which is apparently not the case based on what another customer was saying while being there).
