Only complaint is the disparity in cost for a 1 way vs a 2 way rental. It would have been so much more convenient to do a 1 way and not haul back an empty trailer but the added cost wasn’t worth it.

Spend time with customer on nuances of vehicle such as four way flasher location and how/if the trailer brakes work. Also, if the customer shows the attendee the gas gauge indicates lower reading than the paperwork, at least do something rather then acknowledging and doing nothing. If the the expectation is to return as found this literally took money out of my pocket leaving me feeling gouged.

Water pump light was on so I drove it back to U haul to have them check it. When I got there & explained what the problem was I was told “ that light is always on, it has something to do with the gas cap”. If I would have been told this when I took the truck it would have saved me a trip back to have it checked out.

I arrive to find out apparently I owe $80 due to a trailer rental from 2 years ago. I believe I have visited this location many times after the date I apparently had not paid a bill in full, yet was never communicated to that I had an outstanding balance. Nothing mailed, no call, no e-mail, nothing I can recall. Half of the $80 charge is due to a late fee. After I get through being scammed by Uhaul, I feel like the location or corporate needed a little extra cash so they just made up these bogus charges... but I need my uHaul for the day, so I deal with it. I pay the $80, get a quote of about $250 for my trip. Well, apparently I need to take photos of the millage at the beginning of every trip, because yet again, UHaul needs more money. Apparently I drove the rental truck 600 miles in a 24 hour period. Cool. Ask for a manager to take a look, and unless I have photos of the odometer I'm out the extra cash. Not only that, before they screwed me illegitimately.... the guy at the front counter says it will be a 2 day rental because I am picking up at 6:30PM and will not be bringing it back until 7:30PM the following day. WOW... Why can't he just say I picked it up an hour later than I did and do a guy a solid, hell he should have recommended for the extra $40, go do some shopping, and come back to pick it up I will have it ready for you... nope... little man needed the extra $40... goo work. Between possibly getting scammed for a trailer rental that "wasn't paid" as of 2 years ago, getting charged for 600 miles of driving, also having a less than acceptable experience with a new guys for charging me 2 days for 1 extra hour, it's not over yet. I filled the tank a quarter tank extra than needed by accident. I bet you that will not matter at the end of the billing cycle. I will most likely dispute the card charge and never shop at Uhaul again. This has to be one of the worst experiences I have had at a truck rental facility. I remember there being a wonderful manager to work with a year or two ago, and it appears the location is under new management. This is unfortunate because I run a moving Co. and Furniture store ... I need to rent trucks almost on a weekly basis. Well UHaul can try to charge me for this one, but I will never be back after this experience.

I told the rep I needed to rent a truck and a dolly to move a refrigerator. The dolly they put in the truck was way to small to move a refrigerator and it fell off nearly hurting one of us. Worse, the wheels on the dolly were so worn that the supports on the back of the dolly stuck out past the thin wheels and the dolly needed to be slid up the stairs. Our stairs were ruined of course. When I returned the equipment I noticed none of the other dollys had wear like the one I was given and would have worked fine. Tried calling them the next morning to let them know, spent 30 min on hold and gave up. The rep was very nice when I picked up the truck.

When I checked my trailer in contract # 23514454 at 3:00 PM on 6/22/2019 the gentleman that checked me in assured me that he would send me a receipt within 10 minutes via email. This did not happen, when I called to find out what happened to the receipt, no one would answer the phone, it was diverted to what I assume was customer service, all they could do was send the manager an email. Typical! A pocket of "I am Sorry" yet nothing got resolved! I ended up having to go down to the drop-off facility on 6/23/.2019 to get a receipt emailed to me for the drop off of the trailer. It is obvious that you have no regard for customer service, my time and the gas I burned to resolve a problem caused by your employee's incompetence. I have used U-Haul quite a bit in the past few years and I have a move coming up to Arizona, I will be looking hard to see if there are other rental options to make that move. I do not mind paying for the equipment and so far for the move to Arizona I have spent over 100 dollars on boxes at this facility. I have checked around and there are several places that sell moving supplies. I am vey dissatisfied with your customer service and your apparent inability to resolve issues that result from your employee incompetence.

Truck had bad play in the wheel, the brakes were soft, abs and brake light came on then shut off while cruising down the road a couple of times. As well as an oil and wrench light came on while I was almost to my storage unit to load the truck and stayed on all the way to return the truck. Just overall a unmaintained truck

Well I brought in the truck with slightly more fuel and I got it with and went a few miles over the limit, I thought it should have been a even wash but I was charged for the extra 10 miles. I guess when the calculate mileage it is from pickup point to drop off location and not to address then to drop off.

The young lady working the desk (only person that was there), was extremely pleasant, helpful and thorough. Even though there were at least 4 people in line at all times, she kept her cool and got everyone through the line as quickly as possible. She is a true gem of an employee for your company and deserves to be recognized as such. Huge kudos to her as she made a huge difference in my impression of the process.

I originally had an appointment for a Monday, the work could not get done at that point so I rescheduled for Thursday and was told there would be a discount. I got $10 off the original quoted price. Not much of a discount considering I had to arrange a second trip to drop off and pick up.

I much prefer the Ford cargo van we had rented a few weeks back. I'm not sure if it was just the Chevy cargo van we got his time, but it was very difficult to keep control of steering. The slightest movement of the steering wheel made the van feel as though we were out of control and going to go flying off the road. Figuring out the door locking/unlocking was also unclear. The next time I have to rent a cargo van which is going to happen at least yearly with my new job, if I show up and it's a Chevy van waiting for me, I won't take it and will make sure to specify the Ford model.

Don't park the hitch side of the trailers on the side that the return lane runs. Super inconvenient having to wait 30 minutes for an employee to stop traffic in the return lane so we could back the truck up to the trailer.

When I called to make my reservation I spoke to someone who I don't think was at this actual rental site. I have my pick up time as 6pm. My reservation was set up for 8am of that day. Luckily when I got there at 61pm, they were still able to have a trailer for me. I think the call center for reserations could do a better job.

The gentleman that helped me get started (I think his name was Joshua) was so helpful! He explained the process in a simple and effective way, and even helped me out by giving me the lowdown on previous damages, encouraging me to take pictures of anything I found. He really seemed to have my best interest in mind and made the process of picking up the truck simple and painless!

Reserved trailer was not available at the reserved site/time. They wanted to send me over 20 mins away to another location, but due to time constraints that would not work. Gave me a 4X7?? trailer instead; however failed to lower the rate and I was charged the $24.95 rate plus tax. This also required an extra trip between storage unit & the delivery site adding over 45 mins of extra work, plus mileage & gas to my day. Service there was not great and extremely frustrating to have a reservation & not get the equipment you reserved. Staffs response "a lot of trailers get stolen" LAME!

Paid 3 weeks in advance and they changed my location pick up 3 times causing me to travel 30 miles one way that I had to pay $50.00 in cab fair . And with them changing the pick up time and place they called me before the 24 hours was up wanting their truck returned asap and the older lady at the Miller trunk drop off threw her hands in my face while I was trying to explain to her what happened and that the truck sounded like it was dragging a brake or tire rubbing squeeling sound and you had to stand on the breaks to stop she didn't want to hear it. But when she threw her hands inches from my face wavying them to shut up then walked away totally IM DONE WITH UHAUL FOREVER NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

I think that your advertising is quite deceptive! It says $19.95 but then there are so many "fees" that it ended up costing over $60 just for the truck. Then the mileage charge. For a $40 item I purchased it cost right around $115 for said item. I won't use you guys again unless I am totally desperate

Site claim that $35 a day was for only local 24 hr rental, no mult. day rentals during peak season. When showing displeasure they claimed I would be allowed a 48 hr one way at 3 time the standard rate - $95 a day for a trailer. Can you say bait and switch, if I was not in a spot I would have even gone and purchased a personal trailer to avoid doing business in this manner. I have mult. needs in the future for trailer needs and will plan accordingly to avoid business with Uhaul. My recommendation, being in the area for 20 yrs, to family and friends - go with Budget.

From the beginning when I spoke with a representative over the phone and at the end when I walked out the door after my hitch was installed everyone was a upbeat and clearly interested in trying to attend to what I was saying and what I needed. There were smiles and a relaxed atmosphere even though I knew there were customers coming in often. Relaxed, professional and willing to be helpful.
