Great customer service. On the downside, the dolly had its tag already broken, making it look like we chose to use the dolly and guaranteeing we would pay for it. I couldn't easily verify the odometer reading because the display just read, "Needs Oil Change." Some debris left in the truck bed, including broken glass.

I made several calls to confirm the arrival of my UBox (both date & location). I was incorrectly told where the unit was which created more confusion for both myself and the incorrect location. My pick up was delayed by a day and required multiple trips to gain access to pick up my UBox. The tracking and timing of the bix availability could be improved.

The problem I experienced had nothing to do with the location, and everything to do with the fact that the reservation system failed in making sure I had a closed trailer for the period of time I needed it, which very nearly left me in a lurch as they suddenly had nothing available despite having committed the reservation. I ended up having to spend three hours and was pointed to three different u-haul locations before securing a non-enclosed trailer, which was all they actually had. I'm not confident that anything will be done to improve quality or reliability of your service, but if you ever feel like taking that step, you could make sure your reservation system actually works and customers can reliably secure the equipment they need.

Zachary was friendly and helpful but not efficient; he took us on a winding tour because he couldn't remember our unit numbers in the storage area and then he told us one thing about the lock fitting and we had to walk all the way back to the storage unit only to have to buy another lock and walk that back to the unit wasting precious time. Not sure if he's not with it or just having a bad day. Kyle was awesome!

I’ve rented from UHaul many times before. I’ve never had the communication issues I had this time. My reservation was given away and I was lucky someone returned their van about 10 mins after I had arrived. I was unaware that UHaul just gives away your reservation if you don’t show up exactly on time. That has never been an issue before in all the times I’ve rented. They could have even an automated voicemail to tell you they are giving away your reservation within 1 hour. But there was nothing. Also the middle-aged woman working had a condescending “tsk tsk” tone and did not offer any helpful suggestions. Thankfully the male working there was so kind and affirming and offered me a solution as soon as he could and made it seamless. Ive never had to rent from this location and will avoid it in the future if at all possible

My payment was processed at 9:30 am and I had to wait till 11 am for getting a truck, even though I booked in 10 days before. They were running around saying key lost, they are making a duplicate key, there is a vehicle which police has to come and give some report before and after 1.5 hours, they gave a vehicle and the fuel tank was empty. Had to wait more time for filling the gas. Overall U-Haul Experience this time was frustrating. I was confirmed for a 15' truck to a location nearby at 9:30 am, 10 days before. I got a reminder that the schedule is available 2 days before. But the previous day around 5:30 I got a message that my pickup location was 7 miles away and it is a 10' truck . I called the customer service and had to wait for half an hour on the phone and at the end, the customer service manager spoke very rudely saying if you want you can take the truck or cancel the order. I had to take as there was no other option. At the location, I got a truck after 1.5 hours. In between shifting, a lady called and asked me to drop the vehicle 10-15 miles away from the drop location. I told it is not possible. The lady who spoke to me in the evening was nice and she told I can drop off in preferred location.

-When I got my 10 foot truck, the mileage and fuel amount were significantly different than what was on the paper (over 3000 more miles on it and half a tank of gas instead of a full tank). I informed staff before I left and a picture was taken of the dash as proof. Later on when I went to check out, it caused a bit of a problem because no one knew what I was talking about and the staff member had to go talk to a manager to get it all sorted out. -This isn’t necessarily this locations fault, but Uhaul in general. I originally booked a truck at a different location much closer to my home. When I arrived at my scheduled time I presented my email that clearly said I was renting a 10 foot truck. Uhaul had apparently tried to call me the day before, but they did not leave me a message (I was at work so I couldn’t answer) and they did not send me an email to inform me that they didn’t have that truck available so they switched my reservation to a 9 foot van without discussing it with me. I took a taxi to the original location to pick up the truck and instead was met with a very confused gentleman about why my reservation was switched. I called customer service and they told me why, and originally they had trouble finding me a new truck and when they did it was at a location over half an hour away. They said if I wanted a truck I had to get over there. They didn’t seem to care about how I spent money on a taxi (and would have to spend more to get to the new location) or that it would increase the cost of the truck. Overall I finally got a truck 2 hours after the initial pick up time and spent several dollars more because of the amount of extra mileage I had to go in it.

The location opened late and did not have the key in the lock box for 24 pick up! One person late to open and a line of four people waiting took over 30 min once she started to get to me. She didn’t want to look up my reservation and asked me which vehicle I was supposed to have. Poorly trained and not very customer friendly.

We were talked into adding the additional insurance and then, when the truck slid off the driveway and couldn't get back on, you refused to come help us. If we rent from you again, I won't be taking the insurances. Total scam. Very disappointed .

You messed up my order more than once. Every time I called in, you gave me a different answer as to where my Ubox was, and if I could pick it up. I scheduled moving help, the movers called and told me they wouldn't help me unload. This was a terrible experience, I will make sure to write negative reviews online, as well as inform all of my friends and family about why they should NEVER use Uhual for any moving needs.

The issue was not the location or equipment. The issue was your process and systems. In a world where everything is so convenient and easy to use, uhaul seems to be way behind. Everything from booking, to checkout, to returning after hours was a pain. Countless clicks, buttons that don't work, query failures, having to fill in so much information, the online app is slow and dated, having to fill up the tank with $5, the many pictures before and after. My goodness what a painful experience.

Overall this was the most frustrating thing I've had to deal with. Getting the furniture out here was easy, but getting my boxes back from the location was a nightmare. No moving services wanted to pickup from the location because they are so unorganized. I experienced the disorganization first hand when I attempt to call to coordinate this and got transferred around in circles for literally 5 hours! Most frustrating thing i've ever experienced and felt like I was being extorted to get my boxes out of storage.

The u- box delivery process was fine but the customer service was horrible! I reserved the reservation with a credit card and called several days in advance to provide an updated credit card to charge. During the whole process u-haul charged the incorrect card! I had to call over a dozen times to give the correct credit card info and still didn’t get it right! I am still waiting for my refunds and was told several times that I would receive emails that I never got! every time I call I am transferred to several different people before I can actually speak to someone to get my problem resolved and my problem is still not resolved! This is very disappointing and due to this reason we will not use u-haul again nor recommend it to anyone else! Customer service is the most important process of running a business and making sure your customer is taken care of! This did not happen! Lastly, we had the u- boxes delivered to a storage facility and was told it would be picked up on a certain date and that didn’t happen either!

Upon arrival we were told that the truck we had reserved could not be rented out for the four days that we had reserved it. We did not receive a call letting us know about this ahead of time. We were offered a smaller truck and a trailer. After telling the manager that we could not do that and offering to bring it back a day earlier, he was able to move some things around to make it work. Although it ended up working out, it was still an unnecessary stress and frustration.

The original truck that I was scheduled in had a ignition problem, so i was changed into another truck. In the process, the check out paperwork showed that there was more gas then there actually was and mileage was also off by one. The attendant was super nice, marked my paper sheet and signed. He had me take a picture of the dashboard so that if there was a question at check out i had it. I went on my way to do the thing I needed with the truck. After my first stop, I realized that my truck also had the same ignition issue.. the was very difficult to get the key to turn. I finished my work and returned the truck. At the return, the attendant wanted to charge me for more mileage than I drove... I tried to show him the picture of the dashboard, but said he would just give me 6.00 off for being upset... which I wasn't... at that time - just subtract 58 -8 is 50 miles... not 53. I reminded him that the gas was lower then the original paperwork said, showed him the receipt, he said he already took care of the problem. As he finished up he told me what the charge was - which was just below the original quote, which made sense to me. He charged my card, and I went home. When I got home, I opened the receipt email and noticed i was charged over 80.00. This didn't make sense. I called the rental office and asked what a $14.00 gas fee was when I filled the truck past the line it was at when I rented it. Here is her quote "I could take a guess at what that 14.00 is but I should have you talk to someone else". She couldn't help me- I was forwarded to customer service. After explaining everything, and spending over 30 minutes on the phone... I was told that a ticket would be put in with my complaint and if they decide to refund me it would take 3-5 business days. I have not received any documentation about that call, or any apology about the error. WT.... Not my mistake, now I have to "watch for a credit" and call back if I don't see one..... under 24 hours later charges deducted... no refund.... Come on UHaul - figure it out. Charge me what you say you are going to to - not add fees after the fact... and phony fees to boot!

My destination was not clearly established. After multiple calls questioning this and trying to establish a drop-off location I was told not to worry about it. Then I get a $5.00 charge for not dropping off at the correct location. Shady tactics if that's the case. Had a tire blow-out which cost me travel time and a hotel room. Do not tell people they may return their trailer anywhere as the rate changes when returning less than 15 miles away. We called customer service to speak with someone as the call center reserved the wrong trailer and we visited 3 different locations and at the location we picked up at it took almost an hour to get hooked up. Called customer service while returning to speak with someone who was quite short, did not listen and was one of the rudest customer service reps I’ve ever spoken to. The last person in reservations was quite pleasant finally. I would not use u haul again due to the same story in the past however, you have no competition so we are forced to rent trailers at I haul despite the terrible customer service

I had everything pre-booked, having rented dozens of times from U-Haul, including this particular location. I was on a tight time frame, and figured all was good as this was just a trailer (not a truck). It took over 25 minutes to pick this up, as the clerk asked the same questions over and over and over again, even though as I said all of this info was in the system. I have NEVER had this kind of issue. Then he asked for a second contact phone number, which I have never had to do, but gave him my fiance's number as she was there with me. Then he CALLED the number as if he didn't believe us! He had no consideration of our time, and was not friendly at all. This is the WORST experience I have ever had with U-Haul by far. Usually I have been satisfied with the company. Very disappointed, and frustrated, as we were late picking up someone at the airport due to the ineptness and rudeness of the attendant at this facility.

I’ve been to this location 3 times and every time it has been a painfully slow experience due to employees moving at a glacial pace. Some items in the store do not have price tags. The rental pickup process is very long as well (40 minutes even when I filled out the additional info for express pickup).

Truck was delivered with a nearly empty tank. Manager said they don’t require trucks to be returned full and I could just bring it back empty. Seriously? Sort of hard to judge how much fuel is needed to return it just before running out. The truck has 142,000 miles and rode like a Sherman tank. The driver’s seat was split wide open. Definitely past its retirement date. Not a good experience.

When picking up the truck, employees saw me and went to the break room where they complained audibly that helping customers was not in their job description and they could just "go back to working at the pawn shop" if they wanted to help customers for a living. After waiting a while, they came out and gave me keys, but forgot to give me my furniture pads so I had to do without. Truck also smelled like cigars or other smokable substances. Drop-off went smoothly and employees were much more professional.

Actually having quality customer service and organization would be a huge improvement. I did express checkout and was told it was lost. I later found out they were lying when another employee looked. I was treated so poorly and accused of stealing a trailer when I returned it early on the day it was supposed to be returned. I never recurved an apology after this. Just a bill. My reservation was for a truck located at 2727 S Santa Fe Drive in Denver. When I logged in from my smartphone to "pickup my truck" I was in the parking lot at 2727 Santa Fe Drive, but the website told me to go to 4849-4859 S Santa Fe. So I walked inside the facility and a very pleasant gentleman helped me get a truck at that location. You may want to fix that problem with the website and locations. The U-Haul Truck Share 24/7 program did not work for me. It should not have redirected me to a location other than where my reservation was.
