The night I needed to pack out I had no access. I had already been assured that it would be open and available until 10. At 8:15 my access was denied. I had paid someone to come help me move out and they were not available the next morning when I had to pack out by myself. Every time I went in to do a transaction in the office there was a line of people. Get more staff.

I started trying to get our box dropped for 3 weeks before it was finally delivered. I was given 3 different delivery days. We were not notified once that it would not be here. We took off work 3 days! I have wasted more time on the phone holding or waiting for a return call. This was the worst experience we had through this whole move. Lack of communication from the very beginning. I am waiting for a refund on May's rent and a refund on the money for the box drop.

Very pleasant staff. HUGE issue, I stopped into the location prior to setting up storage to see if it was what we needed. Looked at unit display for a 10 x 15. Had a garage door as display. Great. When we had a loaded truck with several trip to come. We were told that it would be a 10 x10 and an 10 x5 next to it. That would not work for what we have to store. Then it took a long time to find a 10 x 15 unit.. went to unit and that would not work because of small doors and we would not be able to get items into unit. Tried several to review. Then found out that was is display and what you have are totally different. BAIT AND SWITCH. The only place for garage doors is second floor . No elevator. That can't work, it is very heave what we are storing. Then GM called uhal down the road and asked if they had 10 x15 and they have outside entrance. OK but perferr instide. Went to the other location, and the cost was 40 $more a month for non climate control. Was under the gun and had to do that. So not really pleased with UHaul. The Santa Fe location had insulation ripped on ceiling, asked to have fixed before loading unit. Did but will have to do it again as they only had duck tape. Then noticed after almost totally loaded that there are whole to the outside on bottom of wall, asked to have filled so pest (mice and rats) don't get in. The person at the desk doesn't really work the front desk. Rep at lunch left message at desk asking erh to call. Have yet to hear back a week later. HAve tried to call back goes to customer service and hours on the phone. This had been a horrible experience and VERY disappointed. The staff is very nice though. Now kinda stuck as we don't have the time and manpower to make another move to a place that actually. IT is so WRONG that you do the bait and switch

Horrible customer service. You are not able to get ahold of anyone via 800 or direct number. You are put on hold forever (given up around 60 minutes on hold ) They did not pick up boxes as requested and never called.

I am a repeat renter and I rent weekly all summer long. I hate the experience every time. It is cumbersome and time consuming. Not ONLY do I use the app to reserve, but I also check-in. The tool asks me for a 2nd phone number and to attach front and back of my CO Driver's License. Why do I need to do this EVERYTIME? It is annoying and unnecessary. Then at the store, the check in process is slow. Sometimes, you ask me for the information again at the store. I should be a VIP and be treated such. At the store, you are UNDERSTAFFED and I end up waiting in line for a long time. Never a pleasant experience.

I returned my cargo van and the computer was down. The return person told me to leave the van and they would check it in when the computer was back up. I received my statement and my credit card had been charged an extra day. I have been trying to get ahold of someone and have been on hold for many hours over the last couple of weeks. When I do get through, I have been transfered and put on hold again. I have sent emails and no response. How can I resolve this?

I asked to pick up the vehicle in another location, then got an email that it was elsewhere, and when I called that location it wasn't there, so it was a bit stressfull trying to find the van, which ended up being about a 25-minute drive away from my "preferred" location. However, all the folks at the 2727 S. Sante Fe location were super helpful and friendly :-)

There was some confusion when UHAUL came to pick up the filled container as the agent was expecting to pick up an empty, not a filled and locked, container. This has caused a lot of confusion and I have not yet received my shipment so I am not sure how well this went...

The national computer system went down and created a disastrous situation for us - we nearly had to give our business to someone else. But Ryan Hammack patiently overcame incredible adversity to ensure we were taken care of. If not for Ryan, I would have never used Uhaul again. Because of Ryan, I have new respect for Uhaul. I have been in customer service for decades and his kind of commitment is rare. Well done...

Be aware that uhaul may change your contract dates/times without your knowledge. I booked a truck for two days more than a month before I needed it and when I arrived, I was told I couldn't have the truck for more than 24 hours even though I was moving out on the second to last day of the month and wasn't moving in until the 1st day of the next month. You will likely get different information from the corporate phone line vs the local office as they don't coordinate well. Choose another option, if you have one.

It was a great rental experience. I have been in the rental space (United Rentals) for 8 years and all I can say is... wow great team and great experience. special thanks to the Customer service rep (she was great!! and just finished with a tough client) and the return tech. both were solid employees.

Communicating with people, especially in the service industry, in a positive and informative manner is imperative in growing a loyal customer base. My experience today was unfortunately less than; tone of voice, energy, empathy, product knowledge and a desire to create an above satisfactory customer experience go along way. The pickup and return process is STILL TOO slow. I am a repeat customer that rents at least 5 weekends in a row during spring and summer. Why am I being asked all the verification questions EVERY single time including the Driver's License picture uploads. It is ANNOYING and UNNECESSARY for a repeat customer!!! Stop this nonsense now and make it easier for a return customer!!!

I was charged for fuel upon my return because the representative at the pick-up location incorrectly marked the fuel on the reservation. I filled the tank to the exact amount it was at when I picked it up, but because of the representative's mistake was charged extra at drop-off

The first sales rep was very rude, It seemed as though we were bothering her and keeping her from doing something more important and when I needed help and went to a higher up the manager was just as rude and snotty bad customer service skills none really. Our new place fell through and we needed an extra day with the truck we were told that we could not extend our rental because it was being rented to someone else in a half an hour so they could not accommodate us and we had to rush to get everything out of the truck leave it in our front lawn and we got no assistance or a concern from staff

Add a I rented my U-Haul which was Sunday April 18th your system was down. And I did make a reservation so I was able to get my U-Haul but I wanted to change the truck I was getting to a smaller one. And I was told I could not do that I had to either take the big one the one I originally reserved or I didn't take a truck. And I would be charged regardless because the system was down and I was unable to cancel my reservation. So I paid 10 more dollars for a truck I didn't need. And the individual that helped me was more concerned about where she left her cell phone been getting me taken care of. I have rented from you guys a number of times and the fact that your sister was down didn't make it any easier but the individual who was helping me didn't either. She just gave the impression she really didn't care either way. Would I ever use you all again of course I would I just got a crappy salesperson and your system went down the day I happen to rent a U-Haul.

You can refund my money. All my stuff is ruined. I had it wrapped up with multiple pads and plastic to keep it protected and it still smells horrific. On top of that they over charged me by a lot, they said they will fix the problem but I doubt it. One lady was screaming and cussing at me. I would NEVER use them again. With the overcharge they hijacked my stuff until I paid an additional 600 $then what my contract said. Never use them. Horrible.

I used the mobile app to access a truck. A bit tedious but it worked. I reserved a furniture dolly but it was not provided. I had to walk around a lot to get the rental done. Not too efficient but neither is the in person check in.

This was the second location we went to on the day of our pickup. About an hour before we received notice that our original pickup location did not have the furniture dollies we had reserved online several days earlier. When we got to the location on Santa Fe drive we were told they also didn't have furniture dollies. We were told by an employee filling in for the manager that “the normal manager hasn't updated his inventory and that he was sorry but would refund the dollies.” We were on a tight timeline and because of the lack of dollies we had to purchase dollies from a hardware store and ended up returning the truck a half hour late and getting charged for the extra half hour. On 4/3 I checked my card statement and found the dollies were never removed from my contract and that I'd been charged an extra 14 $for insurance I'd declined during my online reservation. We went to the store hoping to get things cleared up and I've never received such terrible service. I let the guy at the front desk, Ryan Hammack, know what had happened. He told me he couldn't remove the insurance charge but that he would “give me the benefit of the doubt on the dollies.” The two employees who helped us the day of our pickup were sitting next to Ryan and did not say a word. Ryan said I should know what I sign before I sign a contract. I informed him that the store was having difficulties with their system that day and that I actually hadn't signed anything. He tried to argue with me several times until I asked him to show me my signature and he couldn't. I let him know if he couldn't take care of things I'd reach out to UHaul customer support. He decided then he could “give me a one time refund,” for a token 28 $which has yet to show up on my card. I've never been called a liar at a store or company before and I'm disgusted by the actions of all three of these employees. I was charged more than originally quoted and extra for returning a truck late due to multiple locations lacking equipment. I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB and our local agencies. I would like your company to address this terrible experience.

I know there may have been turnover because of the pandemic and you may be training new staff and brining them up to speed. They need much more training. Every interaction with U-Haul is a headache. I was billed for incorrect charges. Your computers are slow. It does a long time to get anything done. You lost my reservation in your system. Its been a pain to deal with you.

Female Driver was awesome both times. But the phone people at the office were hopeless. Put on hold for 20 min many times. Did not answer many times. Asked to hold “for just a min” and never came back. Not helpful when I finally got to talk. You need better phone help.

I rented both truck and storage to pick my stuff and put it in the storage but the access card wasn't active during the access hours so I had to return the truck with my stuff in it because I don't have space for them ,that's why I rented a storage .Second thing, I waited more than 30 minutes on hold to speak with a customer service representative and no one answered. It was very disappointed experience.

When I came in to get my lock, I had already completed the online reservation amd the gentleman helping me couldnt locate me even with the resv #. The whole process took way longer than expected and when it came time to get into my unit, the key card wouldnt work. I went back in to the office the office to get help amd wouldnt you know it, they could t find me yet again amd had to go through tbe whole process again.

Overall I was very pleased with my storage at U Haul. I only had to leave when access to the location was limited to a scan card. Being only able to enter the site with the scan card limited me to access only when I was in my truck, when i needed to get in and was in a different vehicle I could not. I shared this with the staff when the change was made but no other options were available.

This was an amazing end of my trip. The front desk lady was very helpful in switching the unit I had reserved online to a ground floor unit right by the entrance! She gave us a very helpful tour and all the info we needed. After we unloaded we easily checked in our trailer with Austin who was very helpful! All around awesome experience to end our trip with!

The only impediment to the process I faced was a delay encountered when I was to unload my UBox and move it into storage. The UBox could not be accessed by the forklift while a semi was being unloaded. In hindsight I should have scheduled a definite time for the UBox to be moved. Otherwise the whole experience has been positive.

I moved to CO from out of state and UHAUL packed up my belongings into containers and brought them to the UHAUL center in CO where I rented a storage unit for nearly a year. The cost was a third of the price other companies charge. The entire experience was pleasant, professional, and timely. I'm so happy I hired UHAUL to move my household to another State.
