Checked in online and was first in line when store opened. But the trailer assigned on my contract couldn't be located so I sat and waited 20 minutes while staff figured out what to do. I was eventually given a different trailer that contained trash and the guy who hooked it up was not well versed in how to ensure the safety chains were secure.

I had reserved a U-Box a month prior to my moving date. I booked movers to bring the U-Box to me and pack it up and return it to U-Haul. When the movers arrived at the U-Haul location, they had to wait for an hour and then were told that there were no empty U-Boxes. I called U-Haul customer service to ask what to do and was told by multiple service representatives that they "didn't know" what to do about me not receiveing an empty U-Box on the day I had reserved it. One told me to try and call other U-Haul locations in the area to try and find a U-Box myself, which seemed both inappropriate and unprofessional. I called again the next day and they rescheduled my U-Box reservation for a week later but said that they were not going to promise that I would get a U-Box and told me to try and find another moving company if I could. I did wind up receiving a U-Box on the delayed date, and it did arrive quickly at its destination.

There was only a quarter tank of gas and the change oil soon light was illuminated. We had difficulty starting the truck one one occasion. The truck was clean and staff were helpful.

Ubox containers were left on my property for week after I was told they would be picked up. I was never updated by uhaul the entire time. I called back every day and was told every day that the boxes would be picked up, and they were not. I was told I would not have to pay the storage fees on the boxes but was still charged. Very unorganized and very dissatisfied with how uhaul handled the entire situation.

This was by far the best experience I have ever had with moving. During my first big move, we used a Uhaul truck which was great. However, the Uhaul boxes were the absolute best way to move cross-country. From the very beginning of the whole process, Uhaul was transparent, highly communicative, very professional and extremely efficient. All the staff were incredibly nice and made sure that I had all the information I needed throughout the whole process. I am so grateful that I used Uhaul boxes to move from CO to FL. I will definitely be using them again for any moving or storing needs! Thank you Uhaul for making my first solo move easy and stress-free.

The equipment was fine and the location was convenient for me but when I arrived there were 2 employees standing out front chatting while 3 customers waited inside. There was no urgency to help their customers. At drop off the QR code for after hours return didn't work and I couldn't figure out the location finder on my phone. I also had no instructions on how to disconnect the trailer from my car and the employees leaving while I was dropping off had no interest in giving me advice or helping. Being just a little more customer centric could go a long way.

While the manager did everything they could to get me a truck the delay set my entire move back. Additionally the change in location meant I had to pay more for milage and gas through no fault of my own. I am still waiting for a final receipt, but I was charged without a problem.

The truck I got needed maintenance. When I first got the truck, there was a maintenance light on the dash for a “inflate right rear tire”. On top of that, the passenger side mirror was broken. It would not stay in place and every bump I hit the mirror would change directions entirely. Definitely not satisfied with the service I paid for and will be looking for some sort of refund. Sorry

Location was changed without a notice/unclear that pickup location changed because the vehicle reserved just 48 hours prior was no longer available at original location. Tried to do contactless pick up and drop off due to a TIGHT schedule and that was reversed on us. Made the rest of our day much harder (we work from home and were trying to move before work started) When we arrived at the new uhaul location, the store had one associate trying her best to manage two clients at once to handle the line of almost 8 people. Once we were finally helped, the truck we rented was not yet available â€" not cleaned on the outside. 2 stars due to friendly staff in-person/on site. Unsure if I will use u-haul again.

Uhaul is absolutely awful and I will absolutely never be using again. Their staff have no common sense whatsoever. Our experience was absolutely terrible and they gave us nothing but issues. Wrong information was provided, our registration, got cancelled and then they put the containers on backwards so we couldn't even access them. It was 3 days of absolute crap and they wouldn't give us our stuff. Trying to get ahold of anyone was also impossible. Stay away from Uhual and find another moving company!!

Not enough staff for how busy. They gave away our second container and miraculously found another. Waited over 2,5 hours for access when it was scheduled. We waited from 10-12,3pm. One staff member was just flirting with a customer but the others were doing all they could to help costumers, given the large work loads from so many people.

The rental pickup help was fine. However the uhaul rental website probably needs some work l reserved the rental on line but when I went to the location to pickup they could not process the online reservation and had to redo the reservation as a walk in.

I waited in line for about ten minutes with no acknowledgment from the customer service team as I waited behind the counter. I know it sounds silly, but it doesn't take much effort at all to simply look at a customer and say, “Hi, there. We'll be with you shortly. Thank you,” and it makes a world of difference from someone who's worked in the customer service field. Another staff meme we showed up for her shift and everyone socialized for a bit, which further proves my point that staff had the opportunity to simply greet me. The staff was very nice and fast regarding my order once they addressed me. The truck they delivered smelled like cigarette smoke and they said they'd add a discount to my truck upon return, but I was still charged the full amount. The truck ran well and we had no issues with the rental. This site is convenient for me because it's close, but I've had similar issues in the past regarding customer service here compared to much more professional experiences at other UHaul locations.

I had a great experience with the U-Box rental, delivery to both locations and pick up was easy and nothing damaged. The issue lowering the rating has to do with supplies I ordered along with the U-Box. The supplies were not delivered with the box. After a few calls, I was told I needed to get the refund through the store awaiting the pick up of items. I contacted them several times and still have not had a return call or a refund granted. I will try one more time then write off the amount and never use U-Haul crooks again!

The moving service(Chuck) was excellent! He went out of his way to follow us to Walmart to get a lock for ubox! Also, Ubox arrived in Only 1 week! Very pleased! A few items broken/dented in the Ubox as things shifted I imagine

Facility was well stocked and overall rental experience with the product (trailer) was great. Normally don't do reviews, but the customer service experience at the Santa Fe Englewood location was awful. Alexis was my desk attendant. She Seemed bored and annoyed from beginning of the transaction. I had to remind her three times that my rental was one way - her head on her hand the whole time. At one point, she actually got distracted with the other associate and commented on another customer who they were attracted to. Giggled about how hot she was, commenting on how they liked her tattoos. In the end, my reservation was still wrong, return destination Englewood, despite three reminders, and had to call customer service to straiten it out before the return. Customer Service wait time was >30 mins.

This location did not initially provide the damages sheet so I could mark whether truck was damaged on not. The service rep acted like he did not care that I did not have the damage sheet. It took extra asking on my part for something that should automatically be provided to customers. They also charged me an additional $30 after giving me a final receipt upon it's return. There was no explanation for the additional $30 charge nor an updated receipt sent to my email. I am very disappointed with the service at this U-haul. I would recommend seeking out other locations.

Hands down worst service ive ever experienced. Ive been a forklift driver going on 6 years now. Not only was i ignored. Blatantly ignored for 20 mins by staff who clearly loomed at me and rolled thier eyes. 3 disappeared as they walked passed me in the office windows are right there byloadibg door.got there at 3:30 P.M. with pleanty of time provided... they were the rudest warehouse employees ive ever come across. After 39 mins to gain entry to my ubox it was mentioned they close at 4 pm leaving me less than an hour to surprise my disabled wife and 2 year old daughter with oyr belongings ive just moved 1 000 miles to get there. They purposely put my ubox into the wind so the door continually slammed onto me, my property, my trailer,and ruined art work thats irreplaceable. 50 mph head winds with 75 mph gust. Thanks for the eye opening experience from start to finsh. Sat in parking lot because no one mentioned the 24 wait period to load a pod. " the driver with certification left" i was literally looking at multiple people on anaray of lifts. 3 to be exact. No certification needed throug uhaul. NOT TO MENTION IT WAS A WEEK FUCKING E A RLY WITH NO NOTIFICATION! Never ever will i recommend uhaul or any of its services to an enemy let alone a friend or family member. Worst experience in 42 years. ( my apologies for this poorly written outburt. Said with emotion through speech to text )

Don't overcharge. Called to see if it would be extra to turn in equipment the following morning. Was told it would not be extra. Was charged an extra day. Called for refund. Was then transferred to customer service. Sat on hold over 30 minutes. She verified I was errantly charged and refunded the money. But it left a sour taste having to go through that waiting and the process of righting the wrong.

The representatives at the location don't know their role. They committed the super saver insurance on truck rental is refundable when the truck is returned with no damage. On returning the truck rental never refunded the insurnace. Similarly when getting the storage locations they committed it is prorated for the time when you leave and when I ended the contract they said there is no prorated option on storage options Stop spreading misinformation to customer when the real deal is different at the end of the closing contract. I will take this issue with consumer litigation with U-Haul . I need my $ back since I was misled into the transaction

The van was supposed to be picked up at location a few miles from our house, but we were sent to a location 30 minutes away instead. The cost of the rental was double what we were quoted. Over all not a good experience.

It was a 50/50 for the staff being helpful and also short and irritable. My delivery teams were very helpful and nice, the newer gentleman in the warehouse on the lift at the Englewood CO location was nice, and a few of the staff members in the office when I went to grab items from my box. The phone routing system could use some improvements. There were times I called in and received reps from other locations, kept getting transferred and would take 3 attempts to get me to the right rep, and a few of them seemed annoyed or short. I also referred to an email as an estimate or quote, and apparently that was not the right word based on the response I got. I do want to call out a few instances for the Englewood, CO location when they said they called me and did not. And in one instance apparently I was supposed to call back and confirm a delivery time and I never got that message nor was told that on the phone. It caused a huge issue the next day when I came to get into my box, the day before I was supposed to leave for a trip. They almost didn't let me in, saying it wasn't pulled. It also took three times to set a delivery time that week and finally got one that last day. Luckily the box was pulled and I was able to get in, but the manager and reps definitely made me feel like it was my fault, took no fault or ownership of what happened that week, and felt no remorse for what happened that week. To end on a highlight, the new white hard shelled boxes are extremely nice. I'm still unpacking but so far have had no issues with my items being damaged.

The Website as well as the App is too cumbersome to use. Please rewrite it both and bring it into the 21st century! There are too many questions about services that I don't want or need offering me movers, etc. It is too cumbersome. On top of that it asks you 20 questions even though you already know what you want and need because I do this every month! You can to click 20 times before you get to what you want and need! You are just wasting my time! I have being a customer!!!

I rent trailers all the time from you guys and this time I got charged 60 dollars for the same trailer I usually get and I usually pay 35 for 24 hours I don't really want to rent from you again cuz of this you are about to lose a great customer

The amount of time Uhaul can manage to waste for me seems endless! My boxes were NEVER ready for me at my scheduled access time. When it was time to pick up, they were not ready (as usual) and placed on not one, but 2 broke trailers that took over 4 hours of my time while the staff fumbled over their equipment. Then to top it all off, it took 4 staff members over 45 minutes to find my account to print a transaction receipt for my entire u-box trip. They also had me in the system for 4 boxes when I only had 2. This is my third time using u-boxes in the last few years, and it's the same disaster every time. Also, I forgot a metal bracket for a pice of my furniture in a box upon return, and the staff either threw it away without contacting me, or they were so sloppy in their reset and dispatch process that they just left them in there and sent them with the next person that rented the box. This system is more hassle than it's worth.

I called 3 timesâ€" a month out, a week out, and 3 days out â€" prior to delivery date to confirm an 8am-noon delivery window. They confirmed each time and we hired and booked movers to help us and took off work after confirming. We also kept the u-boxes in local storage in our town, 5 minutes down the road . Delivery day arrives, and I called at 9am to confirm they'd arrive before the movers arrived at 12pm. They confirmed. At 11:30am, the boxes hadn't arrived and I started to get concerned. I called, they confirmed they'd arrive before the 30 minute window closed. They didn't show up. I called Uhaul, they told us they were out on lunch, but our boxes were on the way. We called every half hour, and every call the U-Haul rep said the boxes were on their way. Two boxes arrived out of 4 around 2pm. I called to ask where the rest of them were. It's at this point, they changed their story and denied I had ever called to confirm, said there was no call history, and that the delivery window was always from 1-5pm. So now, it's 3:30pm, we've paid for movers to come 1-4, and U-Haul is denying our multiple confirmations. They told us our boxes were 1,5 hours away. The U-Haul storage location was 5 minutes down the road. I called U-Haul corporate and they were absolutely no help either and continued to deny us of any call history. They transferred me to different departments and while waiting on being transferred, U-Haul dropped my call. At 5:20, our last boxes had arrived, but after the movers had left. This meant we had to pay them for 2 hours of standing around, then had only 1 hour left with them to help us move 1,5 of the 2 boxes. The drivers of the U-Haul trucks also couldn't back into our driveway â€" they hit our tree and electric pole â€" and my husband and one of the movers had to back them in. We now have property damage. Also note we both took off work that day. So we're out of 2 paid days of work, spent almost $400 on movers that stood around waiting with us while U-Haul lied to us, changed their story, delivered late, caused property damage, their and customer support dropped my call. They were willing to refund a $150 fee, but only after I chewed them out. Our phone histories show my husband and I called a total of 10 times to Uhaul that day. I called my credit card and we're disputing the entire thing. My boxes should have never been 1,5 hours away. They should have remained in my town, with a timely and property-safe delivery. This whole nightmare was the worst customer service I've ever had.

I tried to open my storage room that I had for over 3 years. There was a lock on my door that had a U-Haul paper tag on it. I went to the office and asked for the lock to be removed. My rent was fully paid on time. Within minutes an employee behind the counter informed me that I couldn't come in there and be discourteous and that I had to leave. I was not being discourteous, I just wanted them to remove their lock. The employee who accused me of being discourteous within seconds was threatening me, verbally abusing me and told me that that he could move my belongings out of my storage unit within 24 hours. He identified himself as the new general manager. Three days later I had my storage unit emptied of my belongings after a different employee insisted that the computer said I had the wrong kind of lock. When she finally accompanied me to my unit, she saw that I had the correct type of lock and she removed the U-Haul lock. I will never use U-Haul again!!!

Everything was wonderful and everyone was so kind and helpful. I really appreciated the security of the building and it made it much more comfortable for my children and I to go to our unit whenever we needed to. The only thing that was a bummer was that the after hours access did not seem to work for us. A couple times we went and we couldn't get in. But other than that it was great!  Thank you!

A lock was placed on my storage unit and I was told "come in anytime and we can take the lock off". So Sunday I came in to get it removed and supposedly no one was able to remove it since they didn't know were the key was. Well, I called in on Monday informing them that I wouldn't be able to make it that day can they remove the lock. The women I spoke with put me on hold and Alexis had answered. I spoke with her about the situation and she said her staff was able to unlock it since they have access to the key and didn't know why someone did do so. Now, I did get angry and frustrated and took it out on Alexis which i am sorry, but for future reference when someone goes to the unit and needs it unlocked everyone should be able to do so. No reason to have 4 people and nobody able to unlock a lock

Move in was delayed because Uhaul could not locate keys to the available move-in units. This was a big inconvenience for us to wait to unload our trailer when we arrived after a long, tiring drive that day. We were not able to start moving into the unit until after they found the keys and then we were forced to return the trailer by ourselves after the office had closed and the staff had gone home. This resulted in an extra day charge for the trailer rental which we have disputed because they agreed to waive that extension fee due to this key problem that they were responsible for fixing.

Two item, no lights in each unit and it's very dark. No elevator to the second level so we couldn't get a unit with a larger door to move in larger items.

The lock was supposed to be provided for free for the storage but the staff told me they do not provide locks. Property insurance is supposed to be included but the staff told it does not. The price is only for storage. This is again confusing because in my reservation it was included.

I contacted the staffs over 5-6 times to cancel my storage unit. The Eaglewood store NEVER gotten back to me and still wanted to charge me for the storage unit. I called numbers of time and finally got that cancelled. The executive assistant who assisted me was not friendly!!! and trying to accuse me on lying about "I have already moved out my storage unit before taking a look at it"! but it turned out to be empty since a month ago! POOR service!!!

Every time I removed my lock from the storage unit an alarm went off. I assumed that if someone was really concerned about that they would show up. Nope. It took 2 trips to get all of the stuff out of the unit. On the last load, I went into the office to cancel my rental. After waiting in a line that didn't move for over 30 minutes I decided to check and see if I could cancel online. Which I could. So I went back to the unit and took the requested pictures and submitted them. I also canceled my monthly auto payment (so glad I thought to do that). I then started getting emails and bills in the mail telling me that I was past due for my rental and that liens were going to be put in place. I emailed the location and got a response that it was an error and I wouldn't receive any more bills. Wrong again. The bills kept coming. I kept sending emails. When I tried to call the location to speak to someone I ended up hanging up after being on hold for 45 minutes.

Everything was fine until I realized the uhaul place hadn't checked my unit when I tried to close out. They were going to charge me for another month by mistake but other than that, once I brought it to their attention, everything went very smoothly!

I canceled my unit before I moved in to unit . I asked for a refund of the 10 95 for renters insurance. . And the lady there said she took care of it for me . But online it looks like she just backdated it to 8/29 and then put move out date as 9/1 , which caused my refund of 10,95 to be gone and a balance of 0.00 . This is incorrect. We were renting a truck online and didn't know you could reserve storage on the same transaction. This made it extremely simple! when we arrived to the facility we weren't sure from the looks of the outside that it was going to work and then upon checking in realized we didn't reserve what we wanted (we thought we were reserving a 10x10 on the main floor but it was on the 3rd) and the unit we wanted wasn't actually available. We were going to try a different location but the man who helped us went above and beyond to help and accommodate us. He was very nice, explained things well, helped with the locks, and his customer service was a huge reason we didn't move on to the next location. we were able to find a smaller unit on the main floor that still worked out and the experience was the best part of moving day! Merci.

On the Sunday we moved out we were the first storage customer into the facility and the smell coming from the restroom was horrible. The trash and mess was absolutely gross. I notified two different employees and one saw the mess and we made a comment that a homeless person probably spent the night in there. I sprayed an entire can of Disinfectant to kill the smell. When we came back around 3pm the restroom was still not cleaned and other storage customers were commenting and taking pictures and posting it on Facebook. The person who checked me in was absolutely polite and professional, a great employee. The rest on the facility was clean and well lit.

This is by far the best storage facility experience I've had. Only issues I'd raise would be the parking lot was consistently hard to navigate, though I think that's noone's fault due to the place always being super busy and I think one would argue understaffed. All of my staff interactions were pleasant and they went above and beyond usually.

I had booked the storage 3 months in advance and still when I arrived at the location I was told they didn't have availability for the size I was looking. I had to manage another booking with 2 different sizes and pay $80 more than what I initially was quoted. This is a ridiculous way of confirming there is storage available when the storage was not available

Access code didn't work, no doors were open other than a bay door that was left wide open and an emergency exit door that didn't shut all the way. Found my way in through those only to set off the alarm on my unit when I opened it up because I couldn't disarm it.

Had very difficult time competing the move out process. Everything was out of unit by June 2. Continued receiving charges for two cycles, even after completing walkthrough of unit with uhaul employee. He forgot to close out and complete the move out. I returned to the store after receiving the first unexpected charge, same employee said he forgot to complete the move out but would be doing it that day and refund the transaction. After not receiving a refund, I was charged again. Called the uhaul phone number and had to be placed on hold for nearly 40-minutes only to be told that since they can't confirm the storage unit had been cleared out, there was nothing they could do except put in a complaint. He couldn't give me a direct number to the store or manager. I had to go throw Uhauls Twitter Direct Messages where they were able to give me the direct line to the general manager (Phil). Phil answered the phone, he was helpful and immediately able to complete the move out and initiate a refund for the two cycles. Wasted a number of hours and work interruptions trying to get what should have been a very simple thing taken care of. Would have thought I would've been offered something beyond the $210 refund that was owed to me for all the effort and hoops I had to jump through. Likely won't be using uhaul again for storage.

It took nearly 2 hours to get me into a unit. First my reservation couldn't be found. Then they didn't know exactly what units they had available. Then they tried to put me in a second-floor unit, when I had reserved a ground floor (there isn't an elevator). Then they couldn't find the mast key to open their own lock on the until to let me in. Finally, they just cut the lock off.
