It would've been great to receive an official receipt that clearly confirmed the truck was dropped off and with the final charges clearly listed. Since the reps I spoke to at the drop off point asked if I was ok with an email receipt, I thought I would receive one within a few minutes as stated. Instead, I received a link to this survey hours later and the only real indication I have that the truck was dropped off was an updated "return by" time when I clicked the reservation number from the original email
Gary B.According to the stickers inside the trailer, this trailer is about 19 years old. And, it shows. The fenders are dented and misshaped; there was a small split in the metal floor where something had dented it; and there are a number of stickers that are clearly not U-Haul stickers. Also, it was clear that the last customer didn't sweep the interior before returning it. Overall, the trailer functioned correctly, including the lighting. And, I was hauling camping gear; so, I wasn't worried about it needing to be swept. But, I recommend a good power washing to rejuvenate the interior and remove caked dirt from the crevices.

kevin K.I specifically asked for a detailed inspection of the trailer before I picked it up at 1800 on Thursday, 18 May 2023. I was sent home with a screw in the tire, and it was flat by the time I got home, only 6 miles away. There is NO WAY that the person did not notice it when they had to fill up the tire. I had to get the tire repaired before my departure which delayed me until 4am the next day. None of the wheels were torqued down correctly, nor were the tires filled to the appropriate PSI, or the same PSI of other tires. There was a 15psi difference from the lowest to the highest tire. I am very disappointed. The blue haired girl took care of me, and did everything she could to compensate me. I do not fault her one bit, as she does not do the inspections. I sent the pre-pick up video and pictures of the tire repair if you need proof. You may contact me if you please, but the blue haired girl already took care of me.

We showed up and they said they didn't have space and we were given another drop off location, they also said they had no space, we were sent to the 3rd location after being exhausted from unpacking a 26' truck. They hesitantly agreed to accept the uhaul at the large uhaul center because they didn't have it on their schedule, as we were supposed to drop it at the first location. We are military and have moved at least 7 times in 22 years, loyal to uhaul. This by far was our worst experience. Not to mention we were charged overage fee for going over the miles! Because we had to drive all over Maryland to return the uhaul which was not our fault!

Barbie did my rental for both my truck and my storage and she was fabulous 10/10 customer service, made the whole thing seem seamless. The young lad working with her to was really sweet and helped me with my boxes. I don't like to pick but it somewhat went down hill the following day when I visited my storage unit. The hallway upstairs leading to my unit was covered in trash wrappers and small animal excrements. I went to go up front to talk to someone but I found the fuchsia haired cleaning lady sweeping the outside rocks. I asked her if she could maybe sweep around my unit before I moved my stuff in. She kind of grimaced at me and said I should just tell the people up front so they can notate it because she was busy. It wasn't my intention to irritate her, I just wanted around my room cleaned so my stuff wouldn't get dirty. So I just apologize for bothering her smoke break and walked away. Hearing her mumbling some not so pleasant stuff under her breath. There is definitely a wide variety of characters here to say the least in the most polite way. Most better than some so that's why I'll keep this review good.

I will absolutely go to another vendor besides UHaul in the future.

In the process of trying to rent a truck the the owner of the gas station(male) was rude to me from the moment I walked in. An employee from the actual U-Haul on balt-Annapolis street, came to pick up a truck and I asked why there was a price difference because I didn't know that the gas stations that rent uhauls are independent from the U-Haul company. The man started yelling at me for talking to the employee telling me that I couldn't talk to her because she wasn't a manager even though I still had to make a payment for my previous truck rental from the Balt- annapolis location. The service was so bad I ended up going there, and got customer service from Payton who was very sweet and friendly. This is service I would much rather prefer not for just me but any future customers.

SHAWN C.The amount of rodent feces covering my belongings was so disgusting. I ended up having an asthma attack during move out because of it. All I can think about is how many rodents were constantly crawling on all of my belongings. There has to be a huge infestation in the facility. The doors are almost too secure, to the point that it is stressful to get the code approved on keypad one and get to keypad two without being to early or late to start over.

In the receipt it indicated 5/8 fuel level which was not correct. We don't believe we were charged, but noticed this on our receipt.

He asked a co worker who told him and even after that when I was finished emptying my unit and whe t back to office he still didn't seem to know. Then during emptying of my unit there was another couple there who had a unit right by the entrance down the aisle I would have to go up and down. They had there stuff all in the aisle making it harder to move. There should be a sign or something done about that.

I have paid over $15 000 to this place to keep my property safe but instead what I got was infestation of all my things. When I brought this problem to the manager all she said to me was "I told people not to put food in there and apparently someone was storing food in this facility at some time. I have waited over 2 1/2 years to get my things but to get them like that is Horrendous. This happened 3 weeks ago and I still have my things on the back of this UHaul truck trying to deal with the insurance company who has been very uncooperative and unresponsive. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY AT ALL or I promise you that you will be sorry. Horrible condition! Mice poop and dead mice Caucasus. This dispute still has not been resolved. Also, this problem was not just with my storage unit, it was also in my 3 uboxes as well. This place should be closed down immediately and permanently.

william M. | Premières impressionsLet me start off by saying I was at this location for about 3 years, and im not one to take the time to leave a review...but this is necessary. The last year and a half at this location, has completely gone downhill. 1) There are mice and mouse poop all over the facility. The traps they put out don't do a thing and many of my neighbors were having issues with mice as well so I knew it wasn't just a random unit but an actual issue on the entire facility. The building needs to be exterminated and clearly they know there's an issue with the amount of traps that are set out. 2) I paid extra for 24-Hour access, and my card never worked. I was issued a new card probably close to 5 or 6 times in the last 3 years. The alarm on my unit never turned off when I would check in and anytime after the office closed when I went to my unit, the door alarm would go off the entire duration that the door was open while I was inside. It is loud and obnoxious and unnecessary if I'm swiping in to turn it off. 3) The location of the U-Haul truck drop off was the most inconvenient. My unit was an inside unit and the only way to get to it is driving around the right side of the building. You cannot drive fully around the building or on the left. The only way to get to any of the back units for the inside units from the loading dock is around the right side of the building. The truck drop off is also on the right side of the building. So anytime someone would drop a truck off, it is in the driveway to get around the building. If there aren't many trucks this is not an issue, however almost every single time I had to go to my unit, there were trucks in the way and you have to drive in the grass to get around them. There were many times that someone was still actively dropping off their truck and I had to as far to the left as they could so that people can get around them to go to their unit. Two weekends ago was my Breaking Point when I had to ask someone to move so I could get back to my unit, and 15 minutes later when I was ready to leave, another individual dropped off a car within that time frame and I got pinned in the back of the parking lot. When this happens you have to call the building manager to drive to the facility and move the trucks out of the way. That can sometimes take hours. The amount of inconvenience that this specific problem causes is one of the main reasons why I left. 4) The roll up doors around back we're always stuck open whenever I would show up, and there were many time that solicitors would be wondering around thr parking lot, asking people if they could badge them in. No one could ever tell if they were customers and had units and just forgot their swipe card, or if they were just trying to snoop around proples unlocked units. Either way it's a super sketchy feeling and as a cop myself, it made you feel very uncomfortable as if the facility itself was very unsecure. 5) 99 % of the staff was airways incredibly rude, short with you when you had questions, and the attitude level that almost all of the staff had was unreal, like none of them ever wanted to be there. I don't know if the employees are being mistreated by upper management, or if they just need a moral building activity for whatever the issue is, but trying to communicate with any of them about anything was absolutely miserable. THE ONLY EMPLOYEE. and I literally mean the ONLY employee that I had a good experience with in all three years, was Alexander, and I unfortunately didn't meet him until the day I was moving out. When one of the miserable employees told me no to getting a rental truck, and didn't seem to want to work with me at all, Alexander helped me get one the same day only a couple hours later. He also helped me close out my storage unit when that same miserable employee was making it seem impossible and irritating. I really hope the upper management looks into hiring more employees like Alexander, who are as friendly, commutative, and hard working as he is, so that he doesn't become overwhelmed with the level of ignorance that is working beside him. I will personally never recommend this location to anyone I know. If leadership doesn't care about the employees, that'll trickle down to the employees not caring about the customers. Unfortunately, coustmer satisfaction is not a necessity here.

Paul S. | Premières impressionsI had a difficult time with the directions given, even with a map (which only includes the one or two buildings building) I also had tons of issues with the alarm system (after hours) I'd "clock" in one one & use my code on the others for the door opening & the alarm but the alarm would go off all the time as we were unpacking. Sometimes it would go off not even involving a door or the unit, merely walking for another trip. I can honestly say the alarm went off over 10 times & it was extremely annoying having to go back out to key in my code, which at times didn't even stop the alarm. The customer service was phenomenal though, the actual services was a nuisance.

The first time I was told it would be resolved in a timely fashion… it took months and they only covered movers to move my remaining un damaged items. The second after taking a huge loss the first time destroyed my tv all clothes furniture with mice bites and so much more. When asking to speak with someone again was told to make a phone call which I did not!!! Instead I had to wait 45 mins to talk to someone and was brushed off! 5 dead mice were in my unit! STAY AWAY STAY AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY IF YOU HAVE BELONGINGS YOU CHERISH! If I could rate a zero I would! Jay the owner is the worst manager I have ever dealt with and this just was a huge mistake!

Auto pay system wouldn't autopay leaving my account unpaid. Kind of a big issue. 2. They decided to redo concrete and close the access door without any warning, notice or even telling the employees when it would be done. After I hired a babysitter so my husband and I could go sort through everything in our unit we couldn't access it. The main number we called only went to a national line. People at the location wouldn't answer the phone. I couldn't go in while theRe were open office hours. The manager wouldn't call me back. No one knew when we could get back in. We had to just keep driving by to see if it was open. I don't even feel like listing the rest of the issues. We took our stuff out and moved it to a different unit to avoid these issues.
