The young man with long blonde hair was assisting us. I wish I recorded his name. I was renting a 15ft truck fora few days and I asked if the straps I was purchasing could be returned if they were unopened. his reply was "they should be". I replied with "you can use should with your money but I need a yes or no with my money". he was very confused. there was another person next to him and he just stared at my not knowing what to do. So I had to interrupt her conversation with a customer to ask. I wanted to get 20 boxes but they didn't appear to have handles. I asked if I was just not seeing the handles and did he have any with handles. This too, was a very difficult question for him as he mumbles something unrecognizable to human ears. I decided to not purchase any because of his ineptness. He then handed me my keys, walked me through a door to outside, pointed in a general direction and said your truck is right around the corner. I expected my truck to be by itself, ready for me to drive away. I asked if my 20 furniture pads were in the truck. he said yes. When I turned the corner there were approx 20 trucks. it's deplorable that he would not walk me there and show me my truck. which, by the way, was not easy to find. Oh, and when I got home (20 min drive), my furniture pads were not in the truck. I'm not filling out the above survey because I believe this says everything you need to know.mark S.

Payton was a fabulous rep and you need more like her. At some other locations in town, they barely speak English. And my rented pickup truck only had 81 miles on the odometer, while U Haul has a reputation for old and broken equipment. A good experience for me. But pricing needs to be more honest. My $19,95 rental wound up being more than $60 with insurance, mileage charges, fuel, and taxes.Kenneth K.

Equipment was old and the door on the 6x12 travel trailer was tight it never wanted to open up. The brakes we're jagged and stopped abruptly. They seemed to rent the newer equipment to people that are doing in town rentals that will return it to their location. Not enough employees, long waits. They expect to much from there renters needing pictures taken of connection of truck and trailer, all the while one women working there 7 people in line , no other employee's ,and having to run outside to take a picture! Are you kidding me? NO! Forget this location, go elsewhere! Save your self aggravation. This place needs help. The corporate headquarters is in the area and I can't believe that this place is so bad.Jerry S.

My check-in with Payton was great! She was attentive and helpful. She's the reason for the 3 Starsâ€¦otherwise, it would be 1. HOWEVER, my return process was terrible. I asked them about the check in process and I was told to â€œleave it thereâ€. I was not given a formal checkout process. As a result, I was inconveniently charged incorrectly. When I called to correct the issue, it was as if I was an inconvenience. To top it all off, my U-Haul account was less than helpful. When I log in, it says my session has timed out (how - I JUST logged in), and it doesn't show my recent rentalâ€¦although I rented through my account. Suffice it to say, I will not be using U-Haul again.Bianca D.

I wish they had a rating lower than horrible. This Facility should be closed down indefinitely due to the mice infestation. I have paid over $15 000 to this place to keep my property safe but instead what I got was infestation of all my things. When I brought this problem to the manager all she said to me was "I told people not to put food in there and apparently someone was storing food in this facility at some time. I have waited over 2 1/2 years to get my things but to get them like that is Horrendous. This happened 3 weeks ago and I still have my things on the back of this UHaul truck trying to deal with the insurance company who has been very uncooperative and unresponsive. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY AT ALL or I promise you that you will be sorry. Horrible condition! Mice poop and dead mice Caucasus. This dispute still has not been resolved. Beware! Despite the contract claiming you'll only be charged $20 for returning the vehicle after hours and having staff check it in the next day, they will try to charge you for a FULL SECOND DAY OF USE. This location NEVER answers the phone. When I did rent the tires had several obvious nails in them, and engine made metallic noises, I returned that truck, the next one had the windshield duct taped, cat hair all over the seats, and the tire light kept coming on the dashboard. At return the check in girl was great, polite, fast, and personable, just a great employee. If I use this location again it will be because of her. She should run this location.Lawernce D.

trailer would vibrate any time I got near 55, I tried stopping at a uhaul in Georgia and they would not help me at all they just said to call customer service. so the next day I called customer service and they said to call emergency roadside assistance. My card was charged before i returned the truck and when it was returned it on time i was given 2 different prices when the problem was corrected i wasnt refunded my over charged price i put the gas back in and it was clean i had the truck for 6 hours 89 cent a mile and the rental was 19,99 went 60 miles the staff was friendly but if i didnt ask i wouldnt have known anythingAndrea R.

Lights on first trailer did not work. They assigned another trailer and only the turn signals worked on that one. They called someone out to look at the lights and he said he didn't know about trainee lights. I took the trailer home and fixed the lights myself. The gentleman that checked us out was not properly trained and the checkout process took over 20mins in the store, despite having made the online reservation. He sold us a lock that didn't fit on the truck, which we had to come back in to exchange. The truck itself had a horrible misalignment and shook aggressively at several speeds. The steering wheel had to point to 2:30 (on a clock) in order to drive the truck straight. Fortunately our drive was only 45mins. If we'd been driving out of state or for several hours, the shaking would have been too much.Ryan U.

I found this center confusing and frustrating. First of all, the building is HUGE. I followed all the signs around to the back (they said "rental return" on them) and parked by a big sign that literally said "EQUIPMENT RETURN" with a big stop sign under it. The sign instructed me to "please wait here in your equipment" and promised that a staff member would be out to help me. So I waited. And waited. And waited some more. Then I looked up the phone number for the facility, but the phone rang and rang. Eventually an automated voice told me that the wait time to speak to a representative would be 30 minutes. So I got out and walked up to the 2 big sliding doors on the building. There was a keypad to get in, so I pressed the call button REPEATEDLY. I also tried the smaller door next to it, repeating my actions. Now if I had just walked all the way around the building to the other side I would have found a person working in the office, but I'm on crutches and it's a BIG building. So I kept pressing the call button and eventually a guy on a cell phone wandered out to the parking lot, but didn't look interested in helping me. I had to call him over, and he told me that despite the signs directing me to the back of the building for equipment return, I had to get back in my truck and drive around to the other side of the building. From that point onward the staff were nice and helpful, but why direct people to the back of the building with multiple signs (the parking lot in the back is huge and the front is very small, so it seems very reasonable that they would send people to the back, and there are huge doors, stairs, and a ramp leading up to the building on the back so it looks like a very public entrance except that it's locked. I would not go back to this location because it is so poorly marked.Angela R.

I was charged for someone else's rental that was back to back to mine. They claim the person processing my return put in the wrong millage by accident an additional 1 000 miles which lead to a $612 charge. I went to Uhaul Mon 5 pm and the guy identified the problem but couldn't fix it because he isn't a manager. He was very helpful. I went there Tue morning to see the manager because only she could fix it. I was only refunded $605. What happened to the other $7 I put $15 more gas in than I needed to because you have the only vehicles around that don't show the gas gage in auxiliary mode which means I have to guess how much gas to put in, which I think is ridiculous. Also wasn't told I had to put in my license plate number on the ezpass site in order for it to get charged on my pass and not whatever upcharge you charge your's has. I'm not a happy customer but I know if I ever do it again to take a picture of the odometer with my phone at the end and to insist to see the receipt when returning it so I know the ticket is closed out. The Chevy pickup itself is very nice, rode well, performed well. Still I'm not impressed and think some funny business was going on although no one would admit to that.Kimberly T.

The Seat belt light and bell has a short. When I turned the vehicle in, I was just 1 Hr late and 6 miles less, but was charged $38 more. Was not told I would be charged when I turned it in, was just told thank you and good bye, like I was being pushed out the door. Then the charges came. A little disapointing.Thomas M.
Let me start off by saying I was at this location for about 3 years, and im not one to take the time to leave a review...but this is necessary. The last year and a half at this location, has completely gone downhill. 1) There are mice and mouse poop all over the facility. The traps they put out don't do a thing and many of my neighbors were having issues with mice as well so I knew it wasn't just a random unit but an actual issue on the entire facility. The building needs to be exterminated and clearly they know there's an issue with the amount of traps that are set out. 2) I paid extra for 24-Hour access, and my card never worked. I was issued a new card probably close to 5 or 6 times in the last 3 years. The alarm on my unit never turned off when I would check in and anytime after the office closed when I went to my unit, the door alarm would go off the entire duration that the door was open while I was inside. It is loud and obnoxious and unnecessary if I'm swiping in to turn it off. 3) The location of the U-Haul truck drop off was the most inconvenient. My unit was an inside unit and the only way to get to it is driving around the right side of the building. You cannot drive fully around the building or on the left. The only way to get to any of the back units for the inside units from the loading dock is around the right side of the building. The truck drop off is also on the right side of the building. So anytime someone would drop a truck off, it is in the driveway to get around the building. If there aren't many trucks this is not an issue, however almost every single time I had to go to my unit, there were trucks in the way and you have to drive in the grass to get around them. There were many times that someone was still actively dropping off their truck and I had to as far to the left as they could so that people can get around them to go to their unit. Two weekends ago was my Breaking Point when I had to ask someone to move so I could get back to my unit, and 15 minutes later when I was ready to leave, another individual dropped off a car within that time frame and I got pinned in the back of the parking lot. When this happens you have to call the building manager to drive to the facility and move the trucks out of the way. That can sometimes take hours. The amount of inconvenience that this specific problem causes is one of the main reasons why I left. 4) The roll up doors around back we're always stuck open whenever I would show up, and there were many time that solicitors would be wondering around thr parking lot, asking people if they could badge them in. No one could ever tell if they were customers and had units and just forgot their swipe card, or if they were just trying to snoop around proples unlocked units. Either way it's a super sketchy feeling and as a cop myself, it made you feel very uncomfortable as if the facility itself was very unsecure. 5) 99 % of the staff was airways incredibly rude, short with you when you had questions, and the attitude level that almost all of the staff had was unreal, like none of them ever wanted to be there. I don't know if the employees are being mistreated by upper management, or if they just need a moral building activity for whatever the issue is, but trying to communicate with any of them about anything was absolutely miserable. THE ONLY EMPLOYEE. and I literally mean the ONLY employee that I had a good experience with in all three years, was Alexander, and I unfortunately didn't meet him until the day I was moving out. When one of the miserable employees told me no to getting a rental truck, and didn't seem to want to work with me at all, Alexander helped me get one the same day only a couple hours later. He also helped me close out my storage unit when that same miserable employee was making it seem impossible and irritating. I really hope the upper management looks into hiring more employees like Alexander, who are as friendly, commutative, and hard working as he is, so that he doesn't become overwhelmed with the level of ignorance that is working beside him. I will personally never recommend this location to anyone I know. If leadership doesn't care about the employees, that'll trickle down to the employees not caring about the customers. When I arrived my reserved truck wasn't available, the manager here went above and beyond to make sure I had a truck to complete my move. In the midst of this there was a bad accident right across the street and the computer systems went down for a bit. Not one person panicked the staff here did everything they could to get me in and out in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend this uhaul site very professional and organized.Nickiya W.

I had a difficult time with the directions given, even with a map (which only includes the one or two buildings building) I also had tons of issues with the alarm system (after hours) I'd "clock" in one one & use my code on the others for the door opening & the alarm but the alarm would go off all the time as we were unpacking. Sometimes it would go off not even involving a door or the unit, merely walking for another trip. I can honestly say the alarm went off over 10 times & it was extremely annoying having to go back out to key in my code, which at times didn't even stop the alarm. Not only once but twice after re locating units mice destroyed my belongings! The first time I was told it would be resolved in a timely fashion… it took months and they only covered movers to move my remaining un damaged items. The second after taking a huge loss the first time destroyed my tv all clothes furniture with mice bites and so much more. When asking to speak with someone again was told to make a phone call which I did not!!! Instead I had to wait 45 mins to talk to someone and was brushed off! 5 dead mice were in my unit! The employees were great! They were very and friendly and helpful when things were going wrong. The things that went wrong, were crazzzyyy tho. 1. Auto pay system wouldn't autopay leaving my account unpaid. Kind of a big issue. 2. They decided to redo concrete and close the access door without any warning, notice or even telling the employees when it would be done. After I hired a babysitter so my husband and I could go sort through everything in our unit we couldn't access it. The main number we called only went to a national line. People at the location wouldn't answer the phone. I couldn't go in while theRe were open office hours. The manager wouldn't call me back. No one knew when we could get back in. We had to just keep driving by to see if it was open. I don't even feel like listing the rest of the issues. They were mice 🐁 dropping etc and mice 🐁 they got into my stuff that why l was afraid to go back into the unit my unit were 2224 not mice 🐁 free at all l don’t think l need pay all late fees etc and be refunded all of money 💴 that l ever spent l took some pics of my stuff that were left to afraid to go back to collect the rest of my stuff so l was charged late fees and penalties and keep getting charges for a storage space ineffective with mice 🐁 dropping etc and mice 🐁 in my stuff etc was no happy at all not good with the mice 🐁 etc .Sharon N. | Expérience générale

I moved out of my storage on Nov 1 , I called and closed my account . I moved out of state and they still charged me for rent and late fees. No one checks those units or they would have double checked and that would have verified my move out. When your moving 500 miles away you don't think to take names so I can't remember who it was that I spoke to that did not close out my account. My wife and I spent about $7k with uhaul moving and they want to be greedy and get one more month and late fees . I will take this up with my bank and credit card company. I had my belongings in the uhaul in Glen burnie md. The one gentleman that help me was great. I had my things there for a year and some months. When I went one day there was mouse traps everywhere. I was very upset that I was not noticed about the problem , but then thought it would be best that I removers my things a.s.a.p ( that day). The people that were working there did not really think nothing of it. So now I have to spend money to put my things somewheres else and I have to get all my furniture cleaned. For the time I was there I felt confident that my things were safe but it did nothing but cost me more money . I would not recommend uhaul to anyone. While my rental agreement is still active they moved someone else into my unit, which is involuntary co-leasing and is illegal since 1922, I hope this gets resolved soon. My stuff is currently locked into my uhaul!Christopher M. | Online Move In
The staff was great. The facility is nice. I am only giving a 3 star rating because the unit size that I reserved (and got a confirmation for) online was not available when I arrived, ready to move in. I had to take a bigger, more expensive unit instead.Jason S. | Premières impressions

Storage reservation not documented on the phone call. I was told that she would reserve the 5x10 but I could check on moving day if bigger unit was available.Nothing on reservation information mailed after the call confirmed the storage reservation. Day of pick up was provided a storage space and requested 24 hr access. Arrived at 9:45 pm and could not enter the unit. Called 24 hr surveillance number and no answer at the intercom. Called number posted that went to voicemail and then to sieve. Called National Uhaul customer service who suggested we text the number. I have screen shots of the text. Went in after 7 to report in person but But no response until 10:15am the next day asking about the truck return from the general manager.Recounted the lost hours of moving time because we could not unload the vehicle. She explained that there was an additional step for 24 hr access that had not been explained. She said she would extend the contract after speaking to other customers with reservations. No return call was given and I am now unable to get anyone to answer the line at 4:38 pm. ( location closes at 6). Moving is stressful enough without depending on transportation and storage from a center that not paying attention to the details.Gina J. | Premières impressions

The units are infested with mice and rats. The tenants aren't aware of the current problem unless they notify the manager about their unit having mice droplets and urine on their belongings. A proper notice should have went out to inform the tenants of the ongoing situation and maybe they could have been able to get ahead of the current situation.Kenyona S. | Expérience générale

Wish I received a credit for the days I did not use for the Month of September since I moved out of my unit Sept 18th. There was mice droppings in my unit when I move in August. Excellent storage facility. Very clean. Grateful for enclosed space to load and unload. Only complaint was that we signed up for automatic credit card payment when we first rented the unit and it was not deducted. So we incurred a late fee and had to sign-up again. There was mouse droppings in our unit when we were moving in. We called customer service and there was nothing they could do since the office was closed. We also called the manager using the after hours phone number that was posted and no response. We will be reaching out again during the office hours to resolve.
