Shorter wait time when calling would be a great improvement. Also I called the 1-800-go-u-haul to inform that I return trailer, furniture dolly, and 6 blankets. I mentioned that I did not use blankets and was told I would be credited. However, the receipt does not show refund for blankets.

Pro-rating should be available with regards to monthly bills/move-in/out dates. For instance I rented a unit all winter, including the first week of May. Even though I vacated the unit in early May, U_Haul kept my full payment for the whole month. I feel I should have been refunded for the unused time as it would be immediately available to the next customer. Getting half a month's refund when you check-out would make customers feel good about continuing to use the service.

Brianna was great, we had a slight discrepancy in the reading on our gas tank and she took care of it quickly and was very helpful!! She made up for any time we lost dealing with the issue. She went above and beyond and it was Very appreciated!

Returning the truck with the same amount of gas was tricky since the tank was only half full when I picked up the truck. I accidentally ended up returning the truck with more gas than when I picked it up.

The employee on-duty at the time that we moved in, Alicia, was so incredibly helpful to us and I cannot express how thankful we are that she went above and beyond to make sure that we were able to get our storage units, return our rental equipment, and unload all of our belongings quickly and efficiently. The facility was also very clean and well stocked with carts for use.

Clone Alicia T. I came to the area to do some work for family . I live 2 hours away. When I came to pick up my reserved trailer I was told that the computers were down and that they wouldn't be able to release a reservation on a credit card due to the technical problems with system. Fortunately Alicia was able to find a way to process my reservation. She rocks!

The truck I rented had not been cleaned prior to using. The actual gas gauge was just below 1/2 a tank not a 1/2 tank like the paperwork said. I put 2 gallons of gas in which I thought would cover the 33 miles I went but I was still charged over 6 $for more fuel. There was one more mile on the actual odometer reading than the paperwork so I was charged an extra mile as well. These are just small additional charges but are annoying just the same.

1. Make it so that your website works for extending your contract. 2. LET THE CUSTOMER CONTACT THE LOCAL OFFICE BY PHONE, because in 4 HOURS of waiting, and listening to irritating ads for uhaul crap I don't need, NOBODY EVER ANSWERED THE DAMNED PHONE!!!!!!!!!!! This is not in ANY way a reflection on the office I rented from, which is a fine, cohesive and extermely helpful outfit and EXCELLENT! You couldn't convince me that the office I rented from would not answer, they seemed just too responsible as an organization. This is a complaint directed at the U-Haul company and its infrastructure, namely the phone system which is obviously broken. Unfortunately, I have no other means to complain about the company in general, BECAUSE NOBODY ANSWERS THE FRIGGING PHONE!!!!! Thanks very much.

My whole experience was great from start to finish. I picked up the van I rented during operating hours and Eric checked me out. He was courteous and very efficient and went over the how to return the van after hours and made the whole process seamless! This location is top notch and the equipment spotless.

It was very disappointing to go into this UHAUL for the first time to find a very long line and an over stressed single employee. The ones in line including myself, were told that the employee apologized but she had to go and put a hitch on a vehicle and she would be gone about 10 minutes because she was the only employee. This issue needs to be addressed immediately by UHAUL to the manager of this business. by the way, this was a Thursday afternoon.

I had a case of sticker shock when I saw that my final bill was over 90 $(was expecting like 65 $). Also, not sure what I get for the 5,00 $ safe fee, especially since I purchased coverage. Aside from the higher than expected cost this time out, everything has gone smoothly the several times I've worked with the Gold Star Highway location.

Storage units are so clean. The whole operation, with rental of truck, so perfect. The guy who was there, who seemed to be the manager, is top-rate. The best U-Haul location we've ever seen or used.

I had no issues with The facility at all... It was a great clean well maintained spot... The issue that I had is with the truck itself ....I moved in the snow and I fell off the back of a truck because of the slickness of the steel so maybe you can put grips on the back of the trucks... the steps and right where the latche is for the door... because I'm sure I'm not the first to slip off the back

There was a discrepancy in the mileage between the reservation system and the actual vehicle. The staff made a note and resolved the mileage when the vehicle was returned. I would recommend improving realtime mileage reporting for accuracy and reduced cycling at the rental locations.

Great staff and facility! Mike was an amazing help for our move. He even stayed a little past his time to allow us to unload our truck. Since then everyone we've encountered has been courteous, professional, and extremely helpful. Great staff and facility! The alarm system is a little finicky, though. My unit keeps setting off alarms for other units that are not yet rented. That can be painful on the ear drums.

I am very unhappy with the fact that I was charged for gas when I refilled the gas to a little above where I got it from. I only drove 28 miles and I put 4 gallons of gas back in the vehicle and was charged for 6 more gallons. The receipt stated I returned the vehicle at 8:57 pm, which I did not I returned it at 6:42pm. If it takes 10 gallons of gas to drive 28 miles then your vehicles need to be serviced because that is ridiculous. I will not continue to use uhaul which I have used a several times in the past.

Very unhappy with the entire transaction. I feel i was lied too about this. I was quoted one price on the phone after explaining what size truck and that it was a one day rental to be dropped off at another location. I had another establishment rental set up with a flat rate 139 for the day with unlimited miles. I was quoted on the phone 69 cents a mile and 19,95 for the truck. This would have put the rentals close so I decided to go with Uhaul based on its reputation. Much to my disappointment when I arrived they said that quote was no good and that I would need a 2 day rental and the mileage would be 89 cents a mile. I explained the truck would be returned (to the secobd location) on the same day and I actually only had it for about 6 hours. I was charged for an additional 40 miles above estimate and was told if i didn't use them they would be refunded. I used 9 and was not refunded anything. This rental ended up costing much more than the original estimate and almost double the other supplier. Hopefully something can be adjusted as I feel i was completely misled. If this is your policy I would never use or recommend Uhaul to anyone ever again.

The problem, It is impossible to call the individual locations. Your central scheduling consistently picks up, after considerable wait and the information given is vague and generally incorrect. The costs associated with this move were never clear, and I had to pay more at every turn. Clear cost expectations are important.

It is beyond belief that any storage facility would have STAIRS!!! COMPLETE INCONVENIENCE! Originally we were told only about the elevator...nothing about the stairs until we got here....TERRIBLE DESIGN!

1. The vehicle was very dirty inside. So I had to clean it and disinfect it thoroughly. I took a photo that shows how dirty the towels were after use. 2. The customer service at this location was so bad I would never go back unless I received a formal apology from the two employees who were present when I came to the facility to pick up the 15' truck on the 12th. Specifically the individual who said his name was “Dom”. It might be his age but his customer service skills are very poor. He mumbled lazily and show no sense of respect for the fact that I was there as a customer who chose U-Haul over its competitors. The other person on staff with Dom did step-in periodically to answer my questions because Dom didn't. Even after I informed Dom that I thought he was being disrespectful he just said “I haven't done anything wrong”. So he must think his behavior is acceptable. I wish I was his boss because it could have been a really positive teaching moment. The manager at this location, I assume, doesn't encourage this type of practice. Dom I assume decided to work for U- Haul and in his position when a custom is there to be helped he shouldn't be surprised, upset or lazy. Like it or not he is in the field that requires him to be the best he can in order to represent U-Haul. He should try his best to assist with a positive mannerism regardless of his personal issues. The manager at this location should really help this young man understand his roll. 3. The next morning there was another employee who assisted me with my tow dolly. I don't recall his name. He was very respectful and courteous. A total 180 degrees from the service I got the day before. I would 100 percent return if I knew he was there to help me with my rental. I recall one of our conversation moment was me asking him how his day was going and although his response was “I'm tired” I didn't really see that in his mannerism. He connected the dolly and then recommended I connect my car up on the parking lot where it was flat and safe. I really felt like a appreciated customer who made the right decision choosing U-Haul. Drives me crazy I can't remember his name cause he deserve a pat on the back for demonstrating that U-Haul hires people that respect their position and represent your company well even when no one is watching per say. Great job.

Was there twice this week. On Wednesday 9/9 and on Saturday 9/12. On Wednesday when I arrived very early at the opening of the facility...the man that opened it was very kind and helpful. He answered all my questions and made me feel better by his courtesy and answers. The move for me (from NC to CT by myself was a traumatic move, unexpected, expensive, stressful and intense taking three months total of work. ) on Saturday when I came in to pay and/sign up for the storage units (two units 10 X 10 and side by side the man that helped me didn't speak. He was quite different from the man that had helped me on Wednesday. The man on Wednesday was white and his name started with a "D". The man on Saturday was African American and was tall and thin. He did a good job and showed me how to use the key card, how and where to enter the building (the building was 3 stories) and then how to take the elevator and location of the two side by side units. Then showed me how to exit the building and key out. He did a good job at accomplishing the job actions, but he would not speak, smile, respond or say anything. He was good at his job but just would have been more helpful if he spoke. I tried to engage in some light conversation as he walked with me to show me to the unit but you couldn't get him to say a word. He answered questions about the storage unit, etc. It just would of been a bit more nicer if he had been like the other man and tried to speak. It would of helped me feel less awkward. Otherwise he did a very thorough job. Was clear with instructions, with showing me how to do everything and making sure I understood and could do everything. I just wanted him to speak, so I would feel more at ease and less awkward.

The staff was very nice, and although it was not their fault, changed our storage locker to a larger locker due to the fact that we had a 10ft truck and a storage locker reserved for only half the capacity of the truck. And they did it with general ease and a smile on thier face.

the staff's kindness and assistance more than made up for the disappearance of my internet reservation. So if you reserve online but they can't pull it up on the computer, don't sweat it...they're super helpful and nice people. The place is spotless. Glad I chose this one.

I just got charged almost 700 $when I was told that wouldn't happen after the general manager, Ryan, told me that wouldn't happen. I am very upset with this store. The girl who booked my storage unit didn't give me a big enough unit. The access was locked even though I had a card, both times that I went to unload.

I wasn't given the information for after hours entrance & couldn't unload my belongings into the storage room. I had my people lined up to help but then couldn't get in. Even called the number & no response. The next day I go into explain what happened there wasn't much of an "I care". Not only did I have to unload by myself, I had to do so in the rain. I am exceptionally unhappy. The GM Ryan B was arrogant & indignant. This is really unfortunate because I have always been so pleased with UHaul.

The elevator issues were a real problem for me and the high fees to rent there and then get hit with additional late fees when you’re only a couple days late is pretty brutal.

Needed a large unit near elevator as I was storing a whole house. Upon arrival was given the farthest unit away, not convenient for my movers and cost me an additional 3 hours of movers hourly rate.
