Pick up staff that I dealt with were very good. Issue with trailer supply but it was sorted out. Was offered an extension to my return time. When I returned service terrible. The entire team was very helpful when I was needing to access my Ubox on multiple occasions - especially those working out back (and the gentleman out front coordinating everything). Above and beyond, really. And everything in my Ubox arrived on time and in tact! : ) Thank you for making everything so easy! The only suggestion I would make would be to have extra staff on hand to answer the phone in the mornings. It's nearly impossible to reach the desk in the am and scheduling Ubox access can't be done from another location's answering service. But that's it. Everything else was fantastic! The man at the customer service desk was impatient, rude and not very customer-oriented. We felt like we were bothering him by showing up 15 minutes in advance of our rental time and asking if it was just POSSIBLE to check in early when the place was empty. As well, the after hours return process which requires taking a million pictures and documenting the entirety of the vehicle from every angle and tracking my mileage and fuel use made me feel like I severely overpaid for services when I basically handled the entire rental myself. The place was full of smaller trucks. At least 30. I only needed a truck for two hours. I wish I could have gotten one but he said were all reserved. I don't get it. If someone had come looking for a smaller truck and I had taken it, they could have just taken one of the other 29 trucks. I doubt everyone would all come at the exact same time. The place is huge. One of the biggest uhaul locations I've seen so far. After I got back with the truck , I was waiting in line a long time inside. You needed more people at the cash register that day. When I finally got up to give him my key, he told me to go outside and give the key to some guy outside. I wish he had told me that from the very beginning !! The door latch for the storage area was broken and needs (re)welding. Also, the young gentleman behind the desk sent us, a couple of senior citizens, to the wrong side of a very large parking lot to find the truck. In fact, it was parked in the "In Town" section of the parking lot,, not the "between citises" part, which leads me to wonder whether or not the ancient truck was meant to be driven between cities at all.ROLAND BART D.

The furniture dolly was very small, lightweight and did not have a floor in it so it was not useable for furniture with legs. The rental cost for the furniture dolly was almost as much as the price of the dolly new.James Duncan B.

While I understand that the location might be busy, I wasn't impressed when I walked in to an empty store. Waited for several minutes for one employee walked in and said he couldn't help me but would find someone that could. Once they came in and started doing the transaction, they were interrupted several times by co-workers trying to determine what their lunch order was going to be. Once the paperwork was finalized, I went out to the yard to get the trailer. I was met by an employee who initially had tried to avoid me. Once I made direct contact with me, they advised that they weren't willing to assist me because they were on break. They were spotted shortly after racing out of the parking lot in their own vehicle. Again, understand that it might have been a busy location and I might have walked in during a lull, but there are multiple brands renting equipment and I'll think twice the next time.NEVIL PAUL S.

when i booked the rental the pickup location was on Bluewater road. i arrived at 9:00am and was told that the pickup was at the Chain lake location. i was not informed of this change, causing a hour and a half delay in get my move started. The online system needs to be functional or else not exist at all. Received confirmation of changes to the reservation after making online changes to the pickup time, but they were never actually communicated to the pickup location. All of this resulted in us getting a truck half the size that we originally booked in order to accommodate the pickup time we needed. This made our move considerably difficult. The Halifax staff member who helped us over the phone to at least schedule a truck for our required earlier time was very helpful, but otherwise the U-Haul experience was awful.Greg T.
Respect the customer equipment selection. On Jul 30th I made a reservation in person for equipment 15' to move from Halifax to Fredericton. ON the pick-up day told me that small equipment is for the Halifax area? why never told me the day I rented the equipment? I will look for another company! After reserving weeks in advance, my order was changed at the last minute and push to the end of the day, which was useless for the team that I had assembled for our move. After waiting for 15 minutes on hold I was transferred to scheduling which was able to find a truck that was _way_ larger than I needed, but I took it. (9' -> 20') When I arrived for my pickup, the truck was not ready and I was given an even larger 28' van. There were many customers at this location who were also very upset and mad to the point of shouting. For U-Haul to book out vehicles in this way is disgusting and unprofessional and this is the worst experience I have ever had renting a moving vehicle. I made a reservation on July 30 / 15" Moving truck & 1 Auto Transport to move from Halifax to Fredericton. I made the reservation in person at the U-Haul location. On August 30 when I was picked up they said that must be a 26! Reasons I am moving to a different province and they didn't have enough equipment. Very bad customer service since I made the reservation one month before and it was confirmed. The 26' big truck consumed during the trip 190 Dollars in gas, while the 15' gas consumption will be 100. Also, the front desk customer service was rude saying it is all we have taken in or leave. So the full cost was more than 755 dollars. No makes sense. I loos money with U-haul.LUIS ENRIQUE R.
Customer service is not existing in this location. I went in to get my rental truck at 2pm, i reserved it 4 weeks in advance, he told me it was not returned yet, he made me wait for 1 hour and gave me a truck and shortened my rental time without asking me. I told him i rented a truck to be returned at 2pm the other day, he told me that's not gonna happen, and i have to return it at 12pm instead of 2pm because someone's gonna pick it up at 12pm. He told me you have no other choice or else I will charge you 50 $for every 1hr late. He is rude at all times and no care about customer. Great service from both customer service and scheduling departments. They didn't have the size of truck I wanted and bumped me to the next largest available (which was way to big). I called and waited only 10 minutes (this was August 30th in a city with several universities and colleges) during probably one of their busiest days of the year). I called to see about a smaller one, and they found me one. They were polite and very helpful. The online booking and pick up process was cool though I had trouble with the lock box. I asked a young fellow who worked there to help and he popped it open for me and politely advised me on next steps. He even wished me a good day. Great experience!!!Jeff V.

Storage facility reeked of fish and they did absolutely nothing about it. Called several times to get the situation fixed and was always promised a call back from a manager but that never happened. The sliding door to the facility was broken for the whole time we rented there (6 months) brought that up to employees it was never fixed always had to pry it open, it was supposed to be an automatic door. The sanitizer despenser inside the door was never filled even throughout a lockdown. To say the least renting a locker from U haul was a terrible experience and I am glad to have moved my stuff out of there! Recieved a phone call one day stating I had to go through my locker as there was a foul smell in the building. The day I went in I was hit with the smell of rotten fish. Went through my locker, smell was not coming from there so I reported back to them. A few months later, I asked if it had been taken care of and not a single person knew what I was talking about. My stuff still smells like rotten fish. I had requested for a 5x5 locker. Most of my stuff that should have fit did not fit and I ended up having to store it elsewhere. We measured the unit and found out it was actually 4x4. When it was brought up to management, they said I would just have to deal with it. If I was not in a bad situation at the time of move in, I would have never used this facility. The staff was always far from helpful and rude whenever I went into the office. I was also only able to access my stuff until 7 pm which is a huge inconvenience since I work every day till 7pm. They couple days I took to move my items out of storage, the doors were closed off and I had to use a different area to go into the building. The staff was incredibly rude when I asked them how I was supposed to enter the building. They asked me why I needed to go in…. On top of all that, there was never any place to park and very hard to load/unload vehicles due to the parking situation. My experience was horrible with U-Haul from the beginning to the very end. There were a few bright lights in a mostly miserable experience from the pick up of my trailer to dropping my things off in storage. I really don't know how you Allstate in business with the poor customer service you provide, your internet portals are a joke, no one ever answers the phone and your customer service in person people are burnt out from all the unhappy customers. My reservation wasn't there when I arrived but when you are the most tired in your life there is no fight. The last person I felt with was accommodating sympathetic and kind. I rented storage. In order to access the storage you have to go into the office and have one of the agents press a button. If there are people in line (to rent vehicles, book storage, pay for items, etc, you have to wait behind them. Could be over a half hour just to have them press a button to get into the storage bay. Hours are not friendly to people with 9-5 jobs and lives in the city. Most of time it takes more than two hours to load or unload trucks but location only opens till 7. Considering transit times to the facility, it is not quite convenient for access. Two out of three truck bay doors didn't open during our stay of 1 month, during which we visited 3 times. The one door who did open was not tall enough for our truck provided by hired moving company. However, i do believe uhaul trucks can fit through. Facility is clean and well lit. I chose not to complete the transaction. I had called to sign up for a unit and your staff could not get my credit card to work. I told them I would be there after work to pay. I received the receipt for first month free on my email. When I got there your staff could not find me in the system and started over again. I told them I changed my mind and did not want it. I was at the end of my rope when I called U-Haul ,I got on the phone to rent a truck and told them because of circumstances' beyond my control I needed to rent one of their storage facilities also . I think the women could hear distress in my voice because no sooner did I say that she said that for a one way meaning from my place to the storage in Bayers Lake facility I would be given a month free of storage ! I could feel my stress level decreasing as ever moment passed by ! Not only did I have no place to live but the money was very tight also ,because of the Epidemic I had no job either ! The three guys I had helping me didnt pack the storage properly, so I had no other choice but to get another unit , The manager took 20 % off of that one plus loaned me her lock so I wouldn't have to buy one ! Although the staff was helpful and friendly, our experience was not great. We had completed the online storage application on the U-Haul website and had requested an 8x10 storage locker at the 350 Horseshoe Lake location. Upon getting there the staff member was unable to open our online reservation and then proceeded to tell us that they do not have any 8x10 storage units. I should him the reservation confirmation I received from U-Haul that showed I had booked an 8x10 at that location and the staff member shrugged it off and said they didn't have any. This was extremely disappointing because I had completed the online reservation to make our move in easy but it turned out to be a very difficult and stressful move in. Also none of the entrance doors work properly (they only half open) and the storage space smells of fish.Jordyn K. | Premières impressions

Went i got there, the person the ended up serving me was on the phone, yelling at a customer because she couldnt hear her. Then when i said i was checking in, she got fustrated and was conplaining that the new storage units wernt in the system and she had to check me in manually. While i was being served, she was also explaining to a customer on when he should see the hold on his credit card go back on his card. Other than a terrible smell that came from some other Locker in the heated storage the whole time that I had used to lockers for 3 months, it was a good experience. Sometimes the website head hours posted differently then the actual hours that you could get into the storage and the sliding doors that are automatic are having difficulty opening and shutting. Staff were very helpful! This site is currently under construction and the only access was via a garage door with a broken vehicle sensor. All pedestrian access is boarded over with plywood. Besides being a concern in an emergency or during a power outage, it was inconvenient to have to go into the office and request it be opened every visit.Adrianne M. | Expérience générale

My couch got ruined by something leaking from the roof of your building. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the renovations that are being done to the building. I was told someone would be contacting me about getting it cleaned. After no call back I've tried contacting you several times. After being on hold for awhile my calls get transferred to a call center in the U.S. somewhere, where nobody can do anything but send you a message on my behalf. I'm still awaiting a reply of some sort. Nobody has gotten back to me and it has now been 3 weeks. I was assured that someone would take care of it. Turns out that was a lie. I would never use your storage facility again. You advertise clean, dry units. The black stains all over my now ruined couch say otherwise. The only real issue I had with the facility were the limited hours of access. I realize it's a relatively new facility and perhaps a proper security system isn't yet in place, but large signs are posted on the premises advertising 24/7 access and I was very disappointed to discover that in fact the access hours for storage units were identical to the office hours, far too limited for my needs. I hope that issue is rectified soon, because there are other facilities nearby that have no restrictions on hours of access, and, for me at least, that's a strong argument for going with them.Alan S. | Expérience générale

Jen, the manager is fantastic, as were your other staff I dealt with, although their hands are tied because they can't say anything when people get upset about you ripping them off. They have to bear the brunt of it in silence. You put them in a very awkward position because of your greed. You have fantastic customer service, you just cheat on measurements. If you want good ratings, change the cheating The shame of it is you put them in an embarrassing position. Change your paperwork to reflect the ACTUAL USABLE FEET. 9x9 My feelings are you cheat people about the measurements - I supposedly have and pay for a 10x10 space, when in actual fact that is NOT ACCURATE. My actual USABLE space is 9x 9ish. You cannot store anything in the ripple of the corrugated metal, nor can you store anything from where the slide door comes down to the middle edge of the step. I was told the measurement is from the inside ripple to the outside of the step. Try being honest and charge people for ACTUAL STORAGE SPACE!!! If asked, I would definitely tell people how you cheat people. I moved over from Metro self storage, based on Jen's help and great customer service - she sold me. I actually measured and they cheat people as well??? What the h*ll is with you people. Just change your signage to reflect the TRUTH instead of ripping people off.Dorothey l. | Premières impressions
