I booked an open tandem trailer as I could not use a closed trailer for what I was hauling but when I arrived, they would not allow me to take the closed trailer out of town. If I had know, I would have rented one in my own town and returned it in town. As a result, I played more money to rent a closed trailer on a one way trip but had to make two trips resulting in twice the time wasted and twice the gas along with 4 times the price to rent the trailer. They screwed me bad and would do nothing to make it right on either end. Pick up or drop off. In disgusted with this company.

It is a new location and is not fully set up. The credit/debit machine was really finicky. Also, when booking online, my estimate did not include kilometers but the "estimate" they gave us when we picked it up did. Our cost ended up being almost double. They should put an average cost for the kms on the website so people have a better idea of the ACTUAL total cost. When booking online it was only 40 something when it actually ended up being over 80.

Please make sure the items that you request and require for you move are provided before you leave this location. I had required a furniture dolly and charged for one but when I arrived to pick up my furniture and opened the door there was no dolly. I had to return to my home to retrieve my own adding milage putting me over the 50 km putting me in a higher level. The trucks tires were under inflated needing air as per the trucks sensors And I refilled the tank to where it was when I picked it up and I was charged a higher rate because it was implied I didn't replace what I used. At drop off the lady there was very nice but extremely busy. She took the keys I told her about the missing dolly and the whole one thing lead to another story. She said she would take care of it and email me my bill. Long story short...received my bill. My $19.95 A day rental that I only had for less than 5 hours totaled $120 . Returned back to the location only to be told to call the help line for the credit of the missing dolly. I was not pleased.

One of the side rails on the inside of our trailer broke, so we couldn’t tie to it. At the pickup, the transaction and customer service were extremely slow! Their machine also would not accept my debit card. What would they have done had I not had a credit card? This needs to be fixed.

Trailer was not cleaned before I picked it up. Drop it off next day before 6:00am and got billed for 2 days rental. Had to go back and get it straighten out in person, they never even checked when I dropped it off because they asked if the furniture blankets that I rented were let in the trailer. You really dropped the ball on this one U-Haul!!!!!!

The trailer I rented was advertised as 6’x12” however the ramp enclosure is narrow at not 6’ which I was not informed of. I drove over 400km to pick up a ATV purchase and when I arrived it did not fit so I was unable to get the ATV. Upon return of the trailer, I advised the employee and was not offered any refund. Not happy with that service as it cost me not only for the rental that couldn’t be used but also fuel/mileage on my personal vehicle.

I picked up my rental at 9:00 am on October 6. The young lady at the desk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. My vehicle was in excellent working order. The only issue I had was upon my return. Since I returned it after hours, I had to utilize the uhaul.com/share webpage. This did not work well. It asked for my location (to ensure I returned it to the same location in which I picked it up). However, my iPhone was unable to allow for this to occur. I spoke with Patricia (a very helpful lady) but we were unable to rectify the issue. I sent pictures of the front, rear and odometer to her, which she forwarded to the Chain lake Drive office. I don not understand why my location was needed. I was given clear instruction in the morning as to where it had to be returned. Had I dropped it somewhere else, that would have been my fault; and also responsibility from a financial penalty perspective.

The young lady who was there for my return took my receipt, checked the trailer lights, told me I was all set and where to put the trailer. I put it where she asked without any help getting it off my truck from an associate. When I got my bill today I was charged an extra 24 hours.

Reservation rate upon arriving for pick up was more than we were quoted. The girl at the counter was unable to fix and it took some time for her to get in touch with someone to fix it. Then we attempted to pay with debit and the machine was down. After much time and several attempts, we had to drive to our bank and take the cash out. Then wait in a line when we got back. Not a pleasant experience at all.

Sent on a wild goose chase to “go find” my truck in Halifax chain lake location . Spent over 20 minutes trying to find it while the two employees sat in the building with no customers. Why don’t they pull the trucks up for us....not impressed and late for pick up.

Don't allow reservations for the 10 foot truck at a location that doesn't house them.

I guess it is a new location under construction. The customer service area is in the front hallway. Only one person serving customers at the front desk who also has to go outside and do the hookups. Printer is not working! Very disorganized.
